Thanks tmann421 for the cache. It’s #1029 for us. We found your cache on 22 November 2018. Wet day and council have stopped trimming the grass around this temporarily closed picnic area. Wet but successful once GPS settled down!
With the rest area currently closed off this required a quick run across a busy State Highway. Thanks for the cache.
A clever hide - cache all in order. Now we're premium members we are slowly working through the 'premiums' in the area. TFTC.
The EtherClan invaded @TwigNZ's castle for the weekend with the aim of heading south to chase a World Turtle.
The first priority was pure numbers to count towards the souvenirs of the current promotion, and the second was a lonely (puzzle) cache that hadn't been found in 1000+ days.
With the puzzle solved, we set off on Saturday morning with Priority 2 set as the start of Priority 1.
We're caching our way back north now, but we had an offshoot for some caches near the beach at Pukerua Bay which caused the wheels fell off our P1 mission when EtherMaster6 asked if he could play for a bit.
It turned into a lot longer than a bit and it looks like the World Turtle souvenir is swimming out to sea without us, but the memories that the boys made skimming stones into the waves and searching for Mermaid's Purses are more important
This was an easy find, and the second I've found at this location - [Will Scotland Memorial](https://coord.info/GC1KZBV)
Thanks for getting me nearer to my next souvenir (although I'm still a long way short from the Turtle...)

Quick find after getting a few others along the stop bank. Nice evening walk. TFTC
I've been trying to complete a particular Spelling Challenge Cache elsewhere for some time now, but surprisingly it's trying to find sufficient caches stating with vowels that has been holding me back. I thought I finally had the last of what I needed yesterday, but I was still one short so decided to take advantage of having my Mini-me with me this weekend to see if I could track down the elusive last letter. And whilst I was doing that, then why not try for a few more?
We were parked nearby, having just walked along the Otaki River to attain a cache. By the time we got back to the car dusk had well and truly descended and we debated about having a go at this one, but having logged a DNF last time we were here we were determined to have another crack. This time there were no muggles around and the GPS took us straight to GZ after which the cache was an easy find. Not quite sure what went wrong before, but we were just happy to have turned a blue frown into a yellow smiley.
All is well with the container and the logsheet, so it was a quick sign as "T & T" for ThatWeirdGuy04 and I, and then everything was replaced exactly as found.
Thanks for the cache.

Nearly gave up on this as aa few people parked in awkward places! Fortunately they drove off.....so we honed in and signed log.
Finally brought a car that I had want for the last 3 years and had to fly up to Auckland to drive it back to Dunedin. So 2 birds with one stone a new car and caching all the way home. This is one of many on the trip home was a nice and easy one to find TFTC
"It's been a long time between Oranges" or so the expression says.
I haven't been Cacheing much over the last few weeks, primarily due to having a relative over from the old country. But she leaves tomorrow, and has wanted to see what the fuss is that she hears my son and I enthusing about.
So a family afternoon out was in order. 3 generations, a car, and great weather - what could possibly go wrong?
Well actually very little until this search. We had stopped at Byrons Resort and had a fantastic late lunch, during which I had checked out what Caches were to be had locally. This one was just down the road so off we went.
Parked up at the end of the road and headed into the bushes as per the GPS. However, we failed to find anything where we were directed to. A quick read of previous logs seemed to indicated that we should be looking elsewhere. We searched around a few likely places but came up blank. So this was our only DNF for the day, and I have no doubt we shall give it another go sometime in the future.
Thank you for placing the cache and encouraging us to spend great family time together and see new places, no matter the result

Nice park and grab. GPS bounced around a bit but had cache in hand quickly enough. Tftc!
Stopped here on our way home. Reading through some logs helped me find the cache. TFTC
A most interesting place to visit (thanks for this) but after the GPS was bouncing around I decided to look elsewhere and ‘Bingo’. TFTC
Caching with RosalieNZ completing the 100, 10, 7 Challenge. Cache log signed as ‘RE’.

Signed as RE as I'm caching with Ethnz this weekend.
The location on my phone was bouncing all over the place and I was just about to give up on this one when Ethnz decided to look in another direction and promptly found the cache!
Thanks for the cache.

Interesting history and pleased to grab this one without getting wet feet as GPS was taking us into the bushes. TFTC
Accompanied Yeetrees and Gonefishing on another excursion into the hinterland escaping Wellington. We found a number of caches around Otaki and Levin in our journeys. On the way back home now.
Thanks to all the CO’s who placed the caches for us to locate.

Stopped off on our way south. Toadless was determined to get there first, new boots and wet grass and all. Tftc
I was just passing through and saw this cache, how can you go past a cache when its just there in ya sights practically a park n grab so off i went to GZ wasn't long before I had the cache in hand, made my mark and placed the cache back just as i found it. It was good timing as a car pulled up right behind me all the places to park but no just behind me I did wonder if it was another cacher?? pulling up, but I never hung around to find out. Cache was all good here. TFTC now to carry on my journey.
Begins our holiday in NZ in Christchurch, we came from Italy to find our son who lives there for two years.
After ten days spent in the 'island of the south stopping at lakes in Dunedin in Oumaru and be returned to Chch, we decided to go north to the island with a flight to Wellington, the idea is to relax a few days between the sea and the beach course cache, unfortunately we will take four days of rain and wind, impossible to take to the beach.
But we'll make with the cache.
They expect historical cache but especially the GC46 one of the few positioned in May 2000 still alive, among other things, the oldest of NZ.
On the way back after the cache on the dunes we stop for some cache
Greetings from Italy

After spending a couple of days in Auckland, me and a friend are road tripping back to Christchurch. She isn't a Geocacher, so I was pleased to see this cache right there on the map as we stopped randomly for a break anyway. TFTC (3398)
Of course we looked in the wrong spot to start with - - - as you do. Eventually located what we were looking for. Wasn't it cool the way so many people experimented at making flying machines! I guess still lots of people perform amazing feats in their workshops producing machines that might or might not be useful. TFTC .
#3304. Heading back south today and the word from the family was that geocaching stops had to be few and far between. Well this cache fitted that criteria since the last one was on the Desert Road. So many times I have planned to stop here but seen cars parked close by. Today the rest area was deserted so I pounced. But found I didn't have the cache loaded on the GPS but Mrs GSEL brought it up on the phone and soon after I was off searching. Found the sneakily placed cache and signed the dry log. Thanks for hiding it here.
#200. Cracked the double ton, took me 254 days since my GC debut in March. This one was pretty straightforward, good clue, good co-ords. The road workers having lunch at the table may have wondered what I was doing. Tftc. But where was the info about sustained flight?
Looked in the wrong place at first. GPS was not helping. Looked at some obvious places and found it. TFTC
TFTC, took a while as there was s muggle car parked there, with the occupants watching me.
18/10/16 18:25 Have found a cache near here before and used to park up here before / after picking up a cacher from Palmy Intl Airport. Excellent placement. Thanks for pointing out this spot, Cheers, GC.
Gps kept sending us into the trees but then when we checked to see what
Size cache we were looking for we searched some more obvious places and found it. TFTC

Dropped by and replaced the log.
Area of hide is looking untidy with rubbish near the hide - may shift the cache soon.

Easy find, log book a little bit wet but still still able to write on it. Tftc! Nearing 200 now!
After looking in the completely wrong place looking for something that was literally hanging, eventually found it in an obvious place
This took us a while after looking in the wrong spot for ages! I went back to the van to tend to dinner and Mr Jamogen came gleefully skipping over with cache in hand! Thanks for hiding!
We spent 4 incredibly wonderful weeks in New Zealand for vacation and
had a lot of fun to discover all the marvels of this country.
Day 16 - After a 3 hour drive we arrived in Wellington and didn't loose time to explore the city.
We caught the cable car to the top and wandered back down via the botanic gardens
with its many varieties of New Zealand plant life. Beautiful!
We finished the day with a relaxing stroll on Cuba Street.
Besides we still found time for geocaching and picked up quite a few caches on our way.
This was one of them!

From 19th February to 20th March Stadibast and I visited New Zealand. Half of the time we made a trip around the North-Island. After a short stay in Auckland we went to: Bay of Islands, Cape Reinga, Rotorua and the Wai-o-Tapu-Thermal Wonderland, the great Taupo-lake… We made a Rafting Tour in the Waitomo-Glowworm-caves or hiked the Tongariro–Alpine-Crossing and, and…
In the second part of our holidays we visited the south island, hiked in the Abel-Tasman-Reserve , went to the Marlborough-Sounds, the Golden Bay, the Oparara-Arch, the Franz-Josef- and Fox-Glaciers, had a great sight on Mt. Cook and Mt. Tasman, relaxed at the Wanaka- and Hawea-Lakes,….
New Zealand is a very amazing country and with exceptional natural sites. We are very impressed of these great nature monuments and sights and we are happy that we met so much friendly and helpful people.
On our way to Wellington we stopped here. Thank you for showing.
Greetings from Germany.

Drove from Palmy to Wgtn for the day. This was a nice one to do with the kids & a good excuse to stop for a stretch. Looked in the wrong area at first. Log a little damp so was hard to write on without ripping it. TFTC

As i was picked up just after 4am to head to the Manawatu I realised this was not going to be a dot day. This was an attempt to get 270 caches in one day. There are a couple of great circuits in the Manawatu that will help work toward this goal so thanks to the CO's that have placed them for our enjoyment.
Thanks also to my partner in geo crime and driver for the day Yetrees. Without an able driver an attempt such as this would be impracticable so thanks for enabling it.
Thanks to all the CO's for their contribution to my smilie tally.
It is forecast to be a long day geocaching, hoping to make the 270 target. To be honest I'd be pretty happy with 200, however why not go for the Emerald badge (see project-gc.com)

Heading back from Wellington and thought we would add a few caches to this days total.
Straight forward find. Thanks.

I'm staying on my own for 4 nights at Paraparaumu and grabbing caches here and there including a power trail today at some point near Palmerston.
I must have been missing something here. Co-ords put me into the trees and so I searched all places low and high, nothing sprung out at me. Maybe someone after my visit will find it.

After a wait for picnicking Muggles to move on I could begin in earnest. Not the easiest to find, but then I did not have my trusty GPS and had to use my car GPS!

Have driven past here numerous times, never knowing this memorial was even here. An interesting board and well placed cache. Tftc
The gps was pointing me some distance away but Barnacle Boy soon had it taken care of while I was still thrashing around in the bushes! Thanks very much for the cache.
[green] After spending a week in Palmerston North for a course, it's time to head back south again. It's not a dot day today, not even a one day, but I could not help doing a few caches along the way.
I've been here before - in fact I am fairly sure the last cache was hidden in exactly the same place. The cache area is a little bare as the plant life has been sprayed, however the hide itself is still good.
Read the plaque the last time I was here. didn't bother to stop and read it again this time (I usually read the plaques or signs a cache talks about).
Corrected date.

Interesting to visit this memorial again. Had been to a cache here in the past. TFTC
We have stopped here once before for a previous cache - an interesting bit of history commemorated. We almost missed stopping this time as the driver was not taking enough notice of the navigator's instructions Parked close to GZ, found the cache, then had our breakfast with 14 caches already under our belts.
Found easily on my way through to Wellington them home to timaru tftc

Quick find by Margie while I was fiddling with the GPS. Interesting but of aviation history. I wonder why he gave up on aviation so suddenly after 6 years? TFTC!
Stopped for a quick cuppa on our way to Wellington - GPS wasn't exactly on the spot but Mrs RiffRaffs geonose was working, so had it signed and was on our way in reasonable time. A busy little spot tho' so had to be quick. thanks for the hide. TNLNSL
I had to visit Waikanae for work today. It was such a cracker of an afternoon I decided to cruise up to Otaki and find some caches along the way. I sustained myself with a coffee from over the bridge here, before heading back to town. Cheers and TFTC
Took the dog for a walk dowwn here to break our journey.

Good place for a stop after an hour or so on the bike -cache quickly in hand and signed off. TFTC.
Find number 29/30 on a road trip with team Skaga that took us to Bulls and back.
Despite there being some muggles around, we managed to put on our cloak of invisibility and find the cache without raising the suspicion of the muggles.

A popular rest stop today with a few having a bite to eat, dashed over for a quick sign while the other half acted as a distraction, an interesting historic memorial and one we have visited previously, TFTC.
