Time for this one to go. Reviewing the SH1 series and removing the more difficult ones to access given this busy stretch of road. Container has been removed.
It's relish making time, an annual event, so that means a drive up country to pick up the tomatoes and onions. Quick stop on the way and the cache was in hand. Log signed cache returned as found. Thanks for placing these caches here.
We spent 4 incredibly wonderful weeks in New Zealand for vacation and
had a lot of fun to discover all the marvels of this country.
Day 16 - After a 3 hour drive we arrived in Wellington and didn't loose time to explore the city.
We caught the cable car to the top and wandered back down via the botanic gardens
with its many varieties of New Zealand plant life. Beautiful!
We finished the day with a relaxing stroll on Cuba Street.
Besides we still found time for geocaching and picked up quite a few caches on our way.
This was one of them!

From 19th February to 20th March Stadibast and I visited New Zealand. Half of the time we made a trip around the North-Island. After a short stay in Auckland we went to: Bay of Islands, Cape Reinga, Rotorua and the Wai-o-Tapu-Thermal Wonderland, the great Taupo-lake… We made a Rafting Tour in the Waitomo-Glowworm-caves or hiked the Tongariro–Alpine-Crossing and, and…
In the second part of our holidays we visited the south island, hiked in the Abel-Tasman-Reserve , went to the Marlborough-Sounds, the Golden Bay, the Oparara-Arch, the Franz-Josef- and Fox-Glaciers, had a great sight on Mt. Cook and Mt. Tasman, relaxed at the Wanaka- and Hawea-Lakes,….
New Zealand is a very amazing country and with exceptional natural sites. We are very impressed of these great nature monuments and sights and we are happy that we met so much friendly and helpful people.
Greetings from Germany.

As i was picked up just after 4am to head to the Manawatu I realised this was not going to be a dot day. This was an attempt to get 270 caches in one day. There are a couple of great circuits in the Manawatu that will help work toward this goal so thanks to the CO's that have placed them for our enjoyment.
Thanks also to my partner in geo crime and driver for the day Yetrees. Without an able driver an attempt such as this would be impracticable so thanks for enabling it.
Thanks to all the CO's for their contribution to my smilie tally.
It is forecast to be a long day geocaching, hoping to make the 270 target. To be honest I'd be pretty happy with 200, however why not go for the Emerald badge (see project-gc.com)

Heading back from Wellington and thought we would add a couple more caches to today's talley. Straight forward find. Cheers.
Found with Selesi on way to Te Horo. Reasonable traffic including on Te hapua Rd where had parked. TFTC

After completing my Birthday caching in wellington the family and myself are ready for home.
So time for the drive back from wellington to wanganui, stopping at a few caches we have picked along the way.
Cache / Camo / log are in good shape.
Pulled in here and was greeted by the title description,Pulled up nearby and Geo-10 and myself approached the hide before bringing it into car to complete the signing ceremony.
Cheers

I'm staying on my own for 4 nights at Paraparaumu and grabbing caches here and there including Wellington inc a power trail today at some point near Palmerston. I loaded a heap of caches into my GPS back in Auckland.
Another quick little drive by heading to the start of the power trail.

The holiday season at last! Off to Auckland to see my folks. Caching all the way.

[green] On my way to Palmerston North for Christmas, and caching along the way. An awesome day to be out and about. Except for the traffic. It seems that everyone is on the road. Getting back onto the road, especially if crossing lanes, can involve a ten minute wait!
And that's the problem. I am not enjoying this little series. Don't get me wrong, the caches are fine. No micros, locations mostly okay, parking mostly okay. It's just that I am doing them today. Looks like half of New Zealand finished work on the 18th and everyone is heading out. And everyone else is heading in. Both directions flat out busy.
So why is this side road so busy???

A very straightforward find, although parking a little tight here and the busy road seemed extra busy today. TFTC
Heading north having been down to Wellington on business with a plan to pick up some caches as I went and this was one of thirty odd picked up on the way there and back. Parked off SH1 and walked back to GZ where the cache was quickly found while using the fence for cover - TNLNSL. Thanks for the placement Just-Lookin.
[Red] thanks for Supporting the Geokids program, making geocaching more fun for kids across New Zealand so kids aren't sad when they find geocaches . Have dropped some swag into the cache.[/Red]

Pulled into Te Hapua Road to park, then a short walk back to GZ for an easy find. Thanks.
I had to visit Waikanae for work today. It was such a cracker of an afternoon I decided to cruise up to Otaki and find some caches along the way. No problems here. TNLN SL TFTC
I was travelling from Wellington to Whanganui and had targetted a few drivebys to grab on route.
Had a quick stop on the side of the road and made another quick find. TFTC

#976. Driving north to Taranaki today and picking up a few targeted caches on the way. Need a few regular size caches for a challenge so this was added to the hit list. Nice easy find. All dry inside. TFTC
Had the day to myself, so decided to head north, and clear up several of this series that I hadn't got yet. A quick find, and decided to relocate the TB. TFTC.
Met some local friends over the fence. Very friendly. Easy find but long grass- bring your boots. Dropped a travel bug in to continue its journey.

Heading off for a six day sortie though the lower North Island with the primary reason being to pick up the CANZ caches we need to complete the North Island half of the challenge.
Heading north to Wanganui after a couple of days in Wellington. This was the second SH 1 cache we found and that's when we realised what we had let ourselves in for. A trail all the way up SH 1. Our journey to Wanganui was going to take a while. A fairly quick find and back on the road to the next one.
Thanks Just-Looking.

Nice quick find, early on a Saturday morning, returning to Palmerston North.
Good to have some easy caches heading north, not too far out of the big smoke.

First of the day -and first for several months after a few health issues. Great to be back into it! Found on a bike tour of the area. TFTC.
GPS had me about 10 metres further along the fence line. But not much of a search in the end. Left TB. TFTC.
Had a couple of days staying in Paraparaumu and manged to get quite a lot of caching time. Fair bucketing down for a good portion of both days - hence some very very short logs in an attempt to keep the logs as dry as possible! Thanks for the caches, neat area to cache in.
Decided to do this one on my own and leave kids in the car, parked on side road but still a busy spot. Been on an overnight trip to Wellington from Hawkes bay, nearly depleted our stash of stock, just another cache or two to go, tftc
A quick park and grab and collect from easy to spot location. Picked up our very first trackable and geocoin. TFTC
Great cache for kids with room for swaps... just watch out for busy traffic on the highway! Parked on side road...

Nice quick find while driving north. Parked round the corner in Te Hapua road and was surprised how busy that little road is. Tftc.
headed out today trying to get to 1100 before the 5th having having planned a route last night, managed to do this on such a busy day more so on the state highway, I dont know how many times I was either trying to look like I was randomly talking on the phone while bent over looking for a cache, its very hard to be shady on that road, but mamaged it and I am sure I looked silly but hey its what caching can be about. came across some very well kept caches and some not so and only got 6 dnf on the 29 I was looking for, I added swag to all caches that had room and were in good nic, sorry about the copy and paste on the logs, as I was cahcing by myself I didnt take notes. thanks for the cache.
Greetings from Finland! Visiting New Zealand with kobolttti and besides seeing the sights we're also getting some geocaching done. Found this on the way to north from Wellington. Thanks for the cache!
Came here on a day trip up the Kapiti Coast to knock off some of the new caches in the area. A quick find - signed log, TFTC!
Wet wet day! Glad I found it! Marble for a marble. TFTC. Amazingly no cars on road on find and on return the secret's still safe...
A morning caching in Otaki and Te Horo area. Easy find by a busy road. Thanks for the cache.
On our way home to Hamilton and this looks like a good series to satisfy our caching needs before we settle down to some serious driving. Looks like they had a white Christmas here!
TFTC Found on the way up to Ohakune. A journey that should take 3.5 hours but thanks to geocaching, took 11 hours!
7.10am. On the road early to try for these caches round Otaki. Quick find to start us off.
Thank you David.
Thank you David.
A quick pick up as we start to make our way home. Lots of traffic today heading off for the Christmas break.

I was over in Otaki today with Mrs skindo, she was shopping and I was caching . I tackled the caches from the southern end, which was a lot easier than the other ones in the series where I was heading south. There was a lot of traffic on the road today, but this made it easier to look inconspicuous. Most of the caches were a quick find.
Thanks for a great series of caches Just-Lookin

First find of the series. Had taken a self imposed caching exile for just under 3 months. Pleased to be back in the caching fold. TFTC
We had an enjoyable Sunday morning drive picking up some of Just-Lookin's new caches along SH1 and around Te Horo. We had no problems with any of them - they truly are 'park and grabs'. Thanks very much for all of these.
This was our first cache of the day on our way from Waikanae to Hamilton.
+ a marble, - nothing.

Quick and easy find.. Nice size container as well. Thanks for the cache. Did with Mycro Man on the way to Owlcatraz
Took longer to put back than to find and sign the log. Busy road here as well. TFTC
