It was a great morning drive around finding some caches in this area. The log is full so I rolled another piece of paper in it, signed and replaced as found. A new log is needed in this one. Thanks MalDawg for the cache.
MalDawg I found your cache Drayton Soldiers Memorial Park on 24/10/2024, 11:10am. This is my find 7184 and find # 7 today. Found it after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 145 - Toowoomba Day 1. I had a few aims on this day around town. I was looking to visit as many Lab caches as I could and get a few normal caches as well. I ended up doing quite a loop of the city area and a big walk through town before lunch. Some of the Labs ere quite challenging and the bonus caches proved difficult. I was happy to find a bit of shade to have a late lunch before an excursion to Drayton and then back to the Toowoomba Show grounds where I am staying to do some logs and cook dinner at the van. Another day around Toowoomba tomorrow. As I was working on the Drayton Labs, I had a look around this park, and was happy to find this cache, even though I managed to overlook it completely on my first scan of the host. Thanks for the cache MalDawg49126.10 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & July 2021 Hydro Caching A#461**Albida**
Today we set off to explore a number of parks and complete a few Ad Labs and caches as we traveled. The Japanese Gardens were a highlight where we spent quite some time exploring. W even managed a tree fishing cache. We also ventured out to the reserve at Drayton where we found some great viewpoints.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache MalDawg.**SKI Pair****

Total Cache Finds 14557,
We are now heading north to avoid the coldest of the winter weather in Victoria. Today we headed off from Brisbane up around Ispwich into Toowoomba.
Stopped off here at this park and happy to make a quick find, as it was getting dark. Now I can head to my camp for tonight.
Thanks MalDawg for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

Hi there MalDawg, we found your cache Drayton Soldiers Memorial Park today.
Day three touring out from Toowoomba. Previous days have seen some great geocaching, and today is looking to be the same if not better.
Nanos really aren’t much fun when your fingers don’t work easily enough to re-roll the log.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the area today, ending up finding quite a variety of container types, sizes and ratings.
Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where our GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: Good.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Found it! Took a little bit of problem solving as it was our first, but were happy when we did.
We are having a short morning adventure enjoying the cooler weather and breezes. Thank you for bring us to this lovely spot.
Having just posted a DNF, decided to have another "look". What they eyes didn't see, the fingers found.
Quick find after completing a local adventure lab cache. Beautiful little park bathed in sun unlike Brisbane today

What a beautiful spot. The magpies eyed me suspiciously as I walked to gz. I thought I might be in for an aerial assault, but they tolerated me as I made the quick find and sign and returned to the car. Tftc!
We are staying couple of days in Toowoomba, filled with sightseeing, relaxing and caching! Beautiful combination.
Today we explored Drayton and North Toowoomba. We climbed couple of times trees, we fished and read about the history. Activities and fun and learning.

Been quite some time since we invaded Toowoomba and surrounding areas so a-caching we will go!
Decided to camp overnight in Cambooya as we were having such a good time & there were still caches to find here and about.
A quick find here before a crew turn up nearby to replace a power pole.
Our timing was just right!
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Always good to pick up a non related bonus like this one.
Sadly the monument has been vandalised.
Thank you for hiding this geocache

Turns out it's quite easy when you BYO 5 year old! I hadn't even opened the description to read it to her and she had found it already. Thanks!
Was able to find this after a DNF last time but couldn’t get the strip of paper out to log it. Photo to show it was found. I think my nails were a hazard’

On my way home from the QOGM and continuing my outback adventures. Today it was leaving Goondiwindi heading up the Gore Highway to Toowoomba and then a slight detour to Highfields before a straight drive home to Brisbane. I had a list of caches to collect and places to see, some oldies and some for a grid position.
Next on the list was this one and we parked reasonable close to the cache. Triple turmoil told me she had a DNF here last time, so this gave us more incentive to make the grab today. I walked up and placed my hand on the cache straight away, we looked at each other and laughed a true case of cache blindness. With the log signed and cache replaced as found we were off to the next one. Thank you for placing this one here, a nice spot for us today but I guess it does get busy here at times.

After visiting for the AL, I later realised there was a green icon here too. D’oh!
I came back and made a fairly fast find of a familiar shape.
TFTC where all is good.

The humble shovel is the most versatile tool in a soldier's armoury. you can hit people with it, use it as a makeshift frying pan for your bacon and eggs, put an edge on it and use it as a cleaving weapon/axe, and if all else fails you can even dig trenches with it.
Out caching with the Tough Mothers (Bennyboppers and Lisylou). Tricky to get the log out. TFTC!

Gradually making our way south, after attending the CacheQLD MEGA, of course we had to make a few stops to stretch our legs on the drive from Toowoomba to Narrabri. Very quiet at GZ today, guess there will be more activity in 17 days time.
Thanks GurTheWanderer for placing interesting caches on the gameboard.

We had come to Drayton to complete the Adventure Lab. As we were going we also attempted caches that were close by. Just as we located this one showers commenced. Did not last long thankfully. Signed log and on our way.
Still finding unlogged caches on maps! I was up here with hatzofff, RoddyC, Snickersallan and patrol14 and we signed logs using the first initial in each of our caching names, this time it was PHERGS. We should have brought someone with an "O" and we could have been gophers??We did this one while doing the AdLab waypoints then dinner at the pub.TFTC ??
A day in Toowoomba for PHERGS - RoddyC, hatzofff, Granny Smith, Patrol14, Snickersallan and Echocage1.

Found whilst visiting one of the WP's for the Adventure Lab. Nice quick find and cache is in good condition.

Great location we are enjoying exploring the area. Thanks and we put in a new log scroll.
I blame the heat but walked right past this one. Bruce who is significantly taller than me spotted it on approach

Hmm it would be nice if the co-ords were updated with the new hide location, it is a traditional after all. Anyway, managed to find it ok today while completing the new lab series, lovely spot.

Grey Nomads, now totally sick of the covid hold up thing, and time in Brisbane for knee surgery. So now with the blessing of surgeons and physios, we hit the road again, and can get back to placing yellow smilie faces around Australia (Queensland for now)
Today,we are still based at Goombungee
In Toowoomba on business, called into local takeaway for sustenance. Saw this cache as we ate our lunch close by, read instructions, and made educated guess as to location. paid off.
Signed and returned as found Thanks angloj (adopted by WallabyWanderers)
