Logs
A slow and steady catch up of logging. So far behind, yet as I look over my the list of my unlogged caches, some 400 of them, I am torn between writing out a separate log for each or a generic log for the lot. The only reason it has gotten this far out of control is the time consuming task of logging each one. So sorry to say generic logging wins.
If you the owner really want a fully log please contact me and I will be happy to return and write a personal full log for you.

No luck - think the 36 degree heat was making me frustrated too! lol
I will have to try this one another day!
I will have to try this one another day!
I went for this one on the Friday however, I could not go near it as there were people undoing the scaffolding from the race. Returned on Sunday and not many around the area. However, cyclists all over the track. Looked around and went low as others have said. Could not find it so I went for another not far away. After grabbing that one I returned then. Hmmm I will just clear this out of the way and bingo. Log was a bit damp but still in good order. Replaced the cache the same as I found it. Sou might get your fingers dirty though. TFTC.
Another Bathurst 1000 raced and won. I was leaving the track after the race officials party and made my way over to this one. I had looked at this spot before but no joy that time. This time.. I checked and checked, then I went low, real low. And the fingers did the walking and I had the sneeky hide in my hand. TFTC Chuze
TFTC sneaky just like the others around. Was looking in wrong spot for a while.
TFTC verry hard wouldent really say it has to do with the limbo song but it would help to lay down
Gotcha! This one took awhile but we were not leaving without finding it! Very sneaky T4TC and the hunt
Returned with geohubby after dnfing a while ago. Psyched ourselves up on the way from the car determined to find it this time. Committed to whatever time was needed. ..... approached the geozone, hitched up the pants and walked straight up to it and picked it up 3 seconds! !!!!! What a relief to rock this one off. Thanks for this one
Woohoo! Finds this little one deserves a celebration! Off to the next one..
Found it, another go around the track now TFTC Travelling slowly homewards after a six month stay in Tassie.
Changed rating to 1.5/1.5 because the "new" free app will only display and allow newcomers and non premium members to log and search for geocaches that are 1.5/1.5.
I recommend everyone change theirs also and whilst at it, go give the new free app a one star rating with your 2cents worth.
Really sad to see groundspeak move in this direction.
c:geo is a free app that allows access to almost all geocaches.

A DNF amongst 8 finds for the later part of the day in Bathurst and Mount Panorama. I grabbed 17 more earlier in the day on the TRLT series so ended up with 25 for the day. I'm here from Sydney for the GCNSW Bathurst Invasion.
After finding "How's That?" at Bathurst Sportground, I went to the local shopping centre for some drinks and air conditioned comfort, then back to the Showground to freshen up for the evening's event at Panthers. Still had a little time to kill, and my XR6 was begging me for a lap of Mount Panorama, so how could I refuse? I picked this one at first and had a quick look around but no likely hiding places jumped out. I thought maybe I could have some more luck at "P1.3" so headed there next.

The place to be on race day though the chances of finding this cache then would be nil. Our last visit to Mount Panorama was about 40 years ago and things have changed a lot. Those days we could tell a holden from a ford. TFTC Chuze
had a good search but nothing turned up maybe a cache check is in order after the recent Bathurst 12 HR event in early feb.

On the road with 88andy88 on day 17 of our 3-week road trip from Melb to Surfers and back. Today was our day for Bathurst.
After an incredible bike ride around Mt Panorama, we took the time to grab this cache before we left.
Will be back another time for the rest.
Thanks for bringing us here

Continuing on the return journey roadtrip now on the southerly direction from Queensland back to Melbourne OzHockeyChick and I were picking off the caches with more favorites and dates for our calender etc. to stop at as we were heading to Bathurst and wanted to get there eventually
And here we are on Mount Panorama where ledgends are made and the bulldust is sorted and we firstly attempted to do a lap in the geomobile only to be stopped dead by security and smashing our excitement being from Melbourne and travelled over 2000 km's to get here finally when the guard spotted our mountainbikes on the back and said "you can't drive it but you can ride it".....
So that we did......OMG the hill climb was painfull and around 31 mins to climb to the top from the start line and then like adrenaline injected teenagers zooming at crazy high speeds to the bottom in 5mins without putting an ounce of pressure on the pedals.....WOOOOHOOOOO.....
So after our excitement and our lap time recorded we set out to hunt this cache.....
An hour of searching high and low and feeling like defeat was near......suddenly the world opened up for me and i found the little sucker......EXTREMELY SNEAKY and well hidden......
But found and so much sweeter seeing the DNF list quite big behind us.....
I don't usually give up on these type of hides and i must say i have been sick of these damn nanos but all the same i can only say thankyou for bringing me to look for this sucker as i still had fun .......
A fav from me and a cold beer was had to celebrate the find .....Will come back one day to find the others for sure.....Would love the set of smileys here....

Bathurst/Orange weekend trip August 15 with Albida33....
And I thought we had cracked a couple of these with the last two finds...but alas now doing my logs I've seen why. Still, happy to have grabbed those couple.
Looked at the hint and tried a few things, but we were soon off to catch up with Peter......

Changed hide just slightly. Also has a new log. I doubt PAF would help anymore. Coordinates still the same. Might be easier now, let me know. Good luck everyone !
After our worst day of caching on our way to the Mega here at Bathurst we decided to detour on our way home to have another look for these sneaky hides, armed with a few hints. This one was a quick find as just laying on the ground. Log damp so washed out from somewhere. Replaced where we thought it had come from (from the hint we had). May need a check. TFTC (I think)
I have been here quite a few times and walked away empty handed.
Armed with a small hint, I returned yet again and finally made the find after a good 5 minutes of searching.
I must have been within millimeters of finding it a couple of times ..........

Unbelievable is all I can say, how many times did I touch it during hunting , good hide
No luck for me today, I had a good look but chose to move on after a while.
It is very well hidden.
It is very well hidden.
Another dnf on the mountain. A disappointing day of caching. Unfortunately we didn't have PAF option.
Out and about but failed to unearth his one.
One of several DNFs for the day.

Boy, have I earned this *FTF* !!
172 days since publication, and I've been here for most of them, trying out variations upon variations. (ok, a bit of hyperbole there...). How many times did I drive to this site, certain that I finally had the answer, and composing my victory log in my head??... Just as many times as I drove away still completely baffled [B)].
Those of you who know me, know that I despise a PAF, but in the end I did contact the CO to vent my frustration . While he didn't give away the hide, I must admit he put paid to some of my wilder notions... Even then it took me two more visits, and some significant searching [|)]... every comment and hint, it turns out, is both a clue and a red herring. (I guess that's why we keep coming back!)
Finally... after searching what felt like literally EVERY nook and cranny in the area... twice...or thrice... it suddenly struck me (as it does) that there were TWO places I hadn't looked . Low and behold, I found the little bugger in one of them. I know these words won't help you, oh future geo-seeker... but you'll know what it all means after you find it yourself .

Big grats on find Griz. Persistence has paid off for you and I tip my hat.
Just a quick question - how far from posted GZ was the hide located?

I might as well log another DNF given the number of additional times I've stopped by to try another idea.
One day... one day...

I felt SO SURE that I was going to leave with a smiley today, but it was not to be.
I cycled to GZ this morning to make my first attempt and half-heartedly checked a few obvious spots... and then I sang the song and the penny dropped . I thought of a perfectly devious chuze-worthy hiding place that matched everything (especially the song, but was a bit questionable wrt the terrain.)
It was deliciously evil would certainly explain all the DNFs. I started my first attempt but then chickened out. {the lack of parking was indeed a problem... Who would have guessed!}
I returned later after gathering a few necessary supplies and set to work. Boy did I FEEL like I was earning that smiley... I even found a few muscles i didn't know I had.
Alas and alak (as well as a few other choice words) the cache was NOT in hand and I still had to extract myself from my predicament.
Tired, hungry, dirty and sore [xx(] I turn for home with tail between my legs.

Thought we'd officially add our dnf to the list. Probably have a better chance of winning the great race so we'll see you on the starting line next year, we'll be the '99 camry, see you then
Another loooooooooong look and another DNF.
Checked every possible place that's above and even a few that were below ground level.
Even had a print out of the Limbo Lyric's and tried a few different things.
Maybe a Coordinate and cache check is in order

Came over from New Zealand for a 6 day break. After a short journey from Katoomba where I'm staying, arrived here at Bathurst to walk right around the famous race track, starting from the train-bus station. Boy, it's sooo hot, I'm not used to this, took some getting used to.
Sorry to add myself to the DNF list, about time C.O. checked this out!

We tried to do the limbo thing every way we could think of, but couldn't win this round.
No luck here. GZ put me on the edge of the track. I checked every post, pole and box withing 20 meters. I got nothing.

We search low then high in all conceivable places but alas no where to be found. Is it possible that it has been accidentally cleaned up after the races… could we please have a cache check.. We will be back later in week to try again
Cache still in place, think about the limbo and how it all would be applied here. Remember to sing the limbo song.
Thought it about time we took the challenge of the race track. Looks as though there might be quite a few entering the race next year TFTC
We looked and looked and looked some more, but with no luck - the hint didn't seem to make it any easier for us. You certainly have set a challenge for us - maybe we should enter next year's race instead - it might be easier.
