No luck today

Found a hidey hole but no cache

Out and about again, nice early start and didn’t want to get out of the warm bed. Covered a lot of km as haven’t been to some areas ever, and some not in a very long time. Cleaned up a fair few today after getting back not long before the Caching event.

Found a variety of hides and in different areas which made for a nice day. Generally quick finds today

The afternoon we cached around town area, visiting many sites.
Thankyou to the CO's for placing these caches.

We have been on the road for a few days travelling south from Geraldton zig zagging our way across the state picking up caches in as many LGA's that we hadn't previously visited as we could. Also on the radar were Adventure Labs and anything else that came across our radar.


We pulled up at this beautifuold building to do the adventure lab here and thankfully again we thought to check the othe app and sure enough there was a trad nearby which we were not going to leave behind.
It's a little bit embarrassing but we have to say it was a little while to find it as we concentrated on the wrong area first but once we decided to trust the GPSr the cache was located in a very logical location and quite obvious. . Afterradding our name to the log we turned everything as it was and headed off again.

Never trust a power pole

Swiss geocachers on a journey through Western Australia.
Today we went from Katanning to Gnowangerup. First we looked for caches in Katanning before we went to the multi at the Police Pool Nature Reseve. There we liked the multi through the landscape very much. Further along the Great Southern Highway we also found all the caches targeted. So we reached Gnowangerup via the Horsepower Highway. Here, too, there were still finds. Many thanks to the owners for setting the caches.

That’s what weekends are for and that’s what this trip is about.
Day two of our camping trip, we decided to head out and focus on the labs in the area and fill the gaps with whatever else presented itself.

Spending a couple of nights at Lake Norring for BYO Marshmallows 6 ([GC9ZMC3](https://coord.info/GC9ZMC3)). Hit the road with AlliedOz, Cirrus_WA, Geotrakka, Kyzabra, rokadz, SirFancy & The Fitzys in three cars picking up a few labs and whatever else we fancied in the area. Signed the logs as M6C (Marshmallows 6 Crew).

Camping at Lake Norring for the Bring Your Own Marshmallows event, out and about to find a few caches and signing as M6C’s consisting of 8 different caching teams! TFTC!!

Staying nearby at the Bring your own marshmallow event. Travelling as the M6Cs made up of rokadz, allied Oz, Granett, geotrakka, sir fancy, cirus and kyzabra.
Out for the day grabbing a few caches.

Spending the weekend camping at Lake Norring for the latest instalment of the BYO Marshmallow event.
Today was spent on the road with AlliedOz, Kyzabra, Granett, SirFancy, Geotrakka, Rokadz & The Fitzys.
Our travels took us around Katanning, Dumbleyung, Wagin & Arthur River collecting caches and labs as we went.
An absolutely fantastic day out finished with good laughs with friends had me collecting 25 finds, 21 adventure labs and 0 DNF’s and 1 awesome event attended.

Getting a cachers tour of Katanning and this was our next stop. This was another quick park and grab but we did take the time out to admire the beautiful building while signing your log. We returned your cache back how we found it. TFTC josstaylor.

A quick caching trip to Katanning with axell33,lovely overnight stay, then heading home today!
This was an interesting piece of history here. It certainly must have been an elaborate home! It certainly is a dominant name in the area. It was a nice quick find here with all well. I thought 1986 wasn’t so long ago, when the school house closed, then realised it was almost 40 years ago!!! Thanks for showing us this place.

Today the geocaching mission for TaurusSix and I was to try and obtain the FTF that we noticed came out in Katanning yesterday. We kept an eye on the post last evening and when we still noted it had not been found first thing this morning we decided to undertake the just over two hour drive to get to gz. The drive itself was very pleasant just after sunrise. Not that there was much of a sunrise because it is quite an overcast and showery day. Pleasantly cool too which is nice for geocaching. Once in Katanning and achieving the first to find we set about to find many of the other caches in the Katanning area.

This is our second cache of the day. We pulled up near gz and soon had cache in hand, almost a drive by. The log book is very full so we just found enough room to place our symbols ️. TFTC

Chwiliwr and I were headed to Albany for the WA Goes Big weekend but not via a direct route. This was one of the caches that we found on the way.

Cache found without problems. Log was full so replaced and signed and cache returned as found.

We had morning tea at the Dome (beautifully restored Flour Mill) and decided it was a beautiful, sunny, winter’s day, so we got the scooters out and went for a scoot around town.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Katanning.
We found all the caches we were looking for, nice and easy, except for the one little, that had a couple of dnfs, but absolutely rapt to come up trumps with a find, yes it was rather tricky.
A great series of Caches, thanks to the CO for sharing the wonderful locations around town.

Travelling Australia since March 2014 now we are making our way west for a visit with family.

Stayiing in Dumbleyung for a few days, today we headed out for a drive in the countryside using Geocaching as a guide. Around lunchtime we found ourselves in Katanning!

Some interesting hides and some very busy urban hides which we havent tackled for a while. Yet a fun day out and about.
