I can't believe that we decided to attack this walking trail series and other caches in the area after such a big day of riding in the heat!

Out and about with Moneydork and Locus Cache. We stayed in the same accommodation with the idea that we would tackle some of the local caches in Ballarat including the rail trail and challenge caches. This is one of the caches we targeted.

Thanks for the cache McAdies! Smile

**Found whilst House Sitting in Clunes**... Smile

Today was one of those lovely spring days where the sun was shining and there was little breeze, a perfect day to get outside. Dropped around and picked up wozzle68 as I wanted to clear up some caches where he had a few remaining Ballarat ones left... Wink

Lovely spot for a stroll too...

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment McAdies... Big Grin

Found today while helping clean the area. We were obviously not as organised as we normally are: found this cache and did not have a pen on us. Red Face Thank you Gemma for coming to our aid! [:X] We are now officially logged as finders. And thanks to McAdies for the smilie. We will come back to find the latest releases, did not have the time to do so today.

A nice walk to the cache, found after a short search.
TFTC.

24-Feb-16
Found it after a little search. the log book was mush and looked like paper mache. I walked back to the car and found a bit of 'tough' paper from my special book and added that to the container instead. Hope you don't mind. I am sure i could hear 'guns' going off in the distance and hoped that they were dummy bullets being fired.

12-Feb-16
Log is mush! Needs replacing.

06-Feb-16
Found the cache but couldn't sign, as previously mentioned log is so soggy it just falls apart, it's *desperately* in need of attention, have a photo of the cache as proof of our visit if need be. Enjoyed the walk though and the shady spot along with the breeze, was very welcome on a hot day.

TFTC.

Found today but the O-ring is missing causing the log to be wet and mushy.
Thanks McAdies for the hide.

05-Jan-16
The log needs replacing!

05-Jan-16
Had been away on holidays and today we arrived back, so while going to pick up some essentials from the supermarket stopped and made this find. The log was dry, but was in lots of little pieces and pretty much mooshed into the container. Signed - sort of - and tried to place back in, in a better way, but wasn't that successful.

11-Dec-15
The log was mush but I enjoyed my stroll along the path to this cache all the same. Thanks.

27-Nov-15
Another great find while in the area. SL (LOG WET) - thanks for the fun cache!

Found your cache today but unable to sign the log as it has turned to mush. Sorry I didn't have any paper with me to replace it. TFTC

Log is wet and needs a replacement.

I set out on this trail to get the 3 caches along it. This was the first. I found it after a few minutes of searching. Unfortunately, I couldn't sign the log as it was a wet screwed up bit of paper (pic included). If you're gonna have a picnic, then this would be a good spot. TFTC McAdies.

19-Sep-15
Cache zombified.
Was in the area at the hardware store and decided to have a wander along the creek since the sun was out for a change. Quick find but log was saturated and almost destroyed. Will need attention.

I am not very good at this type of hide and couldn't find it at first. I did once I tried another location though! A nice spot.

23-Aug-15
Found after attended the CITO event this morning, geokid and I thought we would try for a few smiles before the afternoon catch up event, and we have been wanting to walk this area, as we have never stopped here before, It is amazing how the area has been cleaned up and makes a lovely area for a walk, Geokid made the discovery and was very pleased with himself. We even had a lovely day to earn some smiles too. Log was a little wet, signed and replaced and on to the next. TFTC

18-Aug-15
My second and final find for the day (should probably have grabbed the other two, but didn't think of it until I was back at the Geo6E). I was on the trail of one time shire engineer CCP Wilson for a blog post and as a result, was on a mission to find bridges and other assorted concrete structures , but couldn't resist a find or two of the cache variety on the way.
Whilst I didn't find the bridge I was hoping here, I did (after a little searching with a jumpy phone GPS) manage to find the cache. I'll definitely be back for the other!
Thanks McAdies Big Grin!

16-Aug-15
Found today while filling in time in the area. It turned out to be a nice day and a great day for caching. Thanks for bringing us here, it wouldn't normally be an area that we would come and it made for a nice walk. TFTC

Staying a few days in Ballarat on our tour of Australia using Geocaching as a guide.

Isn't this game SO FABULOUS! It takes us to places of interest in so many towns. We have met many people over our few years who we are proud to call friends just through this crazy game! Cool

Cachers usually have a common interest to show off your home town and the many places you would like people to visit. So today we explored Ballarat using Geocaching.

Keep on having FUN with Geocaching. Just what Geocaching is worldwide to 2.6+million people so they can't be wrong! Big Grin So keep at it full steam ahead guys!

We managed to find your cache today, thanks for feeding our GeoAddiction. Razz Mr Felix walked to these few caches and managed to capture some munzees whilst here too. Our day was not without some worry moments. We were nearly stuck in a ditch in the GeoCruiser which would have been very embarassing and also very cold! ( almost out of petrol too) Surprised

Back in the area of Ballarat from Geelong as the geo-mrs has some tings to do up here.
Figured I'd convert some more green boxes into smiley faces while I had some time up my sleeve.
Parked close by and walked in and quickly spotted what I was after

Thanks McAdies for the cache
Log signed & replaced. TFTC & sm,iley face Smile

log was a bit damp so I was drying it on a nearby picnic table when a dog walking muggle came and sat down beside me .

No worries. Till and Will helped this time

Ballarat was our next stop on our meandering route from Adelaide to Melbourne to catch the boat back to Tassie. We spent a day caching in the area.

Initially we went down the wrong side of the creek but soon found our mistake. After back tracking a little, we got to the right side and after a short walk, soon had the cache in hand. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache McAdies.

21-Mar-15
After being in Ballarat last w/e I decided to return but this time with the mountain bike to grab some of the various creek caches and other trail guys not that I mind walking but this seemed a better option.
Parked near the entrance to the tip. Gear on and off to the first which was this cache and after a short hunt I was signing the log.
Thanks McAdies for placing this cache.

14-Mar-15
Found by Mary & David at 1350. Took the short steep approach to the three caches in this part of the trail, and found each of them after a brief search. We have always enjoyed caches along various sections of this trail over the years, and today was right up there with our previous walks. Managed the round trip to and from the car park in around 35 minutes. Our thanks to McAdies.

25-Jan-15
Out as a team today as it is my birthday and hope to secure our 4,000th cache. The CFA were burning of in the area and Mr X was concerns of me gong in along the trail. It was a short distance in so off I went. There were signs showing of the back burning and I could smell the smoke and see the trucks. Did the retrieval and hightailed back out of there with a fire truck following me.
Thanks for the cache McAdies I will need to return for the others

22-Jan-15
TFTC. very quick find. Log book is now full. I just wrote in the last spot.

14-Jan-15
Suscoe decided to give this one a miss due to continuous shot gun blasts coming from the top of the valley just above GZ.
They were loud and constant.
Will have to come back another day.
Didn't fancy pellet poisoning.

12-Jan-15
Well played!

Found on a morning clean up in Brat with Sully1. She was glad I spotted this one, always a bit wary of these............ Thanks McAdies for showing us this great pathway

04-Jan-15
Bogonhazy and I took the stroll along here today, to grab this one (will have to come back for the others another day). A pleasant morning for a walk, and passed a gold fossicker on the creek who was so busy panning he didn't even know we were here. Thanks to McAdies for the hide and reminding me that I'd been here once before seeking a cache (a long time ago).

04-Jan-15
Haha TFTC! Love the extra muggle protection Wink

Out caching with Fergzter on a hot night. The cache was quickly found and sign now it was time to get back up to the parking spot. TFTC.

02-Jan-15
Third find along this creek tonight and another relatively easy find that was hidden well enough to be out of sight of muggles. I have a feeling we have been here before for another geo-type game in the past Wink TFTC McAdies.

A new year means new year resolutions. One of these is to get fitter so after a late night and a sleep in we gingerly headed out for these three caches. We did the long walk. Well sulkybear and I walked with the geodogs and the geokids (aged 3 & 5) rode their bikes. A great walking track. All caches were nice quick finds. Now for an afternoon of rest! Lol. Thanks so much Smile

Find # 2025

As I was only 75 smilies from 2000, and 2 days left of the Year, I decided to hit the "This way to the Otways" trail, the Tiger Line trail and a few others that looked like quick grabs to get the big numbers before the new year.

A 14hour solo round trip with only me, ute, GPSr and a selection of music to keep my sanity.
I left home just before 7.30am and got back home almost at 9.30pm and had travelled 628ks

Now I was heading home I realised it was in the zone of a possible 100 finds for the day
So a quick check of the GPSr and I had selected a number of caches for my trip home.

After the short walk to GZ something caught my eye and i had the cache in a matter of seconds.
Finally Big GrinBig GrinBig GrinNo. 100 Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin for the day. and it wouldn't be a good end to the day without a scare.

Found this one while in a stroll along the creek trail, I had a larger search than I needed too because for some reason I put my phone back in my pocket way too early and thoroughly searched the wrong tree before spotting the container from a distance

We were out caching around the area with Team Scoobster today. Mr Tardis had his caching mojo going on and spotted this one within seconds (although I can see how it could take quite a while). A reflex action I jumped back when I spotted it.

Signed the log. Thanks for the cache McAdies.

Found on our family trip to Ballarat with Tardis Trio.

A great family adventure picking up some wonderful caches
Thank McAdies for the find.

10-Oct-14
Again I just needed to focus, with the added challenge of wondering exactly which tree I needed to focus on. Once spotted I was rather freaked out by the camo, even though I knew it wasn't real.

Thanks for bringing me here.

Ballarat turned on a brilliant sunny spring Sunday to search for a few local caches, after learning more about the intricacies of wherigos at the Where I B? Event. The creek was delightful - bubbling along over the rocks.
