Found ONLY the magnet. Cache that should be attached to the magnet is gone. Would be an easy but discreet find if intact. Hint is good. NEEDS MAINTENANCE.

21-Jun-20
Found what we believe is the cache - the magnet is there in place but the actual "nut" is not. Fun discovery

The whole time we were in the café opposite, the shelter was empty. Just as we were about to cross the road to grab it a man sat down in the corner. Luckily there was another cache nearby and on our return we had the shelter to ourselves. I thought I had broken the cachge before realising it was of a construction which didn’t require glue but only nature's forces. Coming back to Titirangi reminds us of when we stayed here two years ago.

12-Dec-19
You’ll have to be nuts not to find this! TFTC

30-Aug-19
Yay my first micro. That was fun. Thank you!

27-Jul-19
Met up with TheWonderStuff this morning to go caching out West and add a few more gemstones to our collections and try and unlock the vault. It was very busy in the town centre this morning and we had to park a distance away. Once at GZ we took a seat and TWS had his hand quickly on the cache.

27-Jul-19
This one was a good urban hide - I spotted it pretty swiftly thanks to the hint Smile

Having dropped a TB off earlier, we came to Titirangi for a bite, we found a lovely Turkish restaurant with a view to boot. Having finished lunch we looked if there happened to be any caches nearby... of course there were. The closest one (GZ) was insight from our table. Paid the bill and did our version of clandestine searching which involves every one of us scrambling about GZ not acting weird AT ALL! Wink
Quick find, great cache, our second one like this. SL and replaced neatly.
TFTC Smile

Photo is of a Visiting TB with the Cache... don't look if you don't want know what it looks like. no, seriously, don't.

11-Jul-19
This morning I had some errands to attend to in the Henderson area. After those were seen to I headed further West to see what I could find. A bit of a hit and miss time on the caching front but it was all good fun in the end. Last cache for me today. Titirangi busy busy as usual but GZ was vacant. Found the cache pretty much in the first place I checked. TFTC, Biggles.

30-Jun-19
Found some time ago, went with my partner to try to find it but there was unfortauntey a muggle right on top of it! Wasn't particularly the friendly type, so came back to the centre a week later and quickly grabbed it! TFTC!

30-Jun-19
After finding a couple of puzzles nearby and having a short walk along the way we drove back to Titirangi for lunch and a look around the market. It took quite a while and several laps around the village to get a park but after having a quick look at the market I left Mrs B and Tinytree there and walked up the road to grab this one.
Nice quick find here and first to sign on the brand new log sheet - thanks for replacing supernanny. TFTC.

17-Aug-18
Yay, 2nd time lucky. I had stopped to look for this cache once before but there were far too many muggles hanging around to have a proper look so I left it. I was in the area today and after grabbing a coffee from across the road I saw the bus stop was empty so decided to have another attempt. I'm glad I did cos this time I made a nice quick find and had the log signed and cache returned just before some commuters arrived to wait for their bus so it was perfect timing.

31-Jan-18
Not to busy at lunchtime. Had to sit for a while with my crewmate making idle conversation until we gave up and admitted to the lady and her baby, who was waiting, what we were looking for. She was very interested and joined the hunt, fortunately I found the clever little blighter. She was impressed and I think is a convert to geocaching. She had geocaching .com on her phone as she got on the bus! TFTC

01-Dec-17
It was really well hidden and a success when we found it. Would suggest bringing a pen or a small screwdriver to get it out though. Awesome spot.

14-Nov-17
Sat there for about 15mins searching every nook and cranny and trying every bolt, but couldn't locate it Sad

12-Nov-17
Great container. The log is full though. Tftc

12-Nov-17
Easy find

28-Oct-17
After taking our girls to a puppet show at the Titirangi Theatre, we walked up the street for afternoon tea at the café. I spotted that there was a cache across the road, so Miss One and I wandered across to visit it and the local roosters - a quick find, thanks.

28-Oct-17
Was sitting on the bench for a few minutes, looking around and finally spotted something odd. Nice camo... log is full though. TFTC

14-Oct-17

Visiting from Oz. Easy one in the heart of town. Great clue.

24-Jun-17
After having an overnighter geocaching trip finding zero geocaches we decided it would be rude to leave Auckland without finding a single cache. We stopped in here for a coffee stop, admired the chickens and then wandered over to find this cache. No muggles today so was a quick find. Found in the company of Team Wetpussy and signed logs as this to save room. Thanks for the hide.

15-May-17
Out with Red Roaming as we travel around New Zealand to celebrate my retiring from work ( well I am going back 2 days a week).
We are on our way from Piha back to Auckland via a meal with friends at lunch near here. The weather is lovely again today. Logs signed with our full caching names or DD and RR, to save time and space on the logs. The log is very very full.
TFTC
Apologies for the lateness in my logging.

15-May-17
LOG IS VERY VERY FULL. Cache soon found - just had to find a cache in town as I had just met up with my cousin whom I hadnt seen for about 60 years since his family emigrated from England, and he lives in Titirangi!!! Many thanks

Travelling around the world with Dartmoor Deliverer celebrating her taking early retirement!

NB Dont forget our Devon UK Mega 2017 GC6JZNY this August in the beautiful East Devon area of our county. UK Megas are over one week full of events and geocaching - a wonderful way to enjoy our county!

02-May-17
Nice lunch exploring Titirangi. Looking for somewhere to leave a travel bug before heading back to the UK but couldn't resist this little cache. Big delivery at the flower shop kept me hidden.

14-Apr-17
A quick find on our way to our hut in the mountains for Easter.

31-Mar-17
While I was in the area today, I tried twice to get to GZ only to find muggles occupying the spot. After a few hours on my way home for the day, I noticed it was empty. I did a bit of feeling around, then latched onto something that came loose. Nice cache container. TFTC.

25-Mar-17
After a nice little brunch across the road at Vevo (best scrolls for hiking in the Waitaks) we popped over the road for a nice quick find before heading off for a few caches in the rain today. TFTC

24-Mar-17
A rainy day meant coffee and brunch with evilno9 and TheMexican instead of a hike, and we thought we'd find a cache on the way. TheMexican was busy fawning over lost-pet posters, but the rest of us tracked down the hide pretty quickly. TFTC

Found on a quiet evening, nice hide. TFTC

04-Jan-17
Had to spend a little time here to blend in so as not to be spotted.... people across the road seemed to be watching us instead of eating their food...or maybe it was not such nice food....

TFTC.

I was staying at the nearby Huia Lodge over the New Year period with some fellow caching members (or "Team SEAC"- South East Auckland Crew- as we call ourselves when we are caching together, which is often!).
Today was the day when our holiday had come to an end- we had packed, cleaned and left Huia Lodge, and the NewlynFam team went in convoy with the Stik-a-Crane team. We decided that we weren't in any hurry to get home, and may as well find a few caches on the way before stopping for a picnic lunch.

Lunch over and we were on our way again, this time having left the Stik-a-Crane team behind, and it was decided that we needed a loo stop, so Titirangi was picked for such a stop before we continued home.
Parked nearby and wandered down the the toilets, admired some chickens wandering round, and then as we were making our way back to the car, I decided to open my geocaching map and see if there were any caches nearby... this one popped up, 6 metres away!
I screeched to a halt and told the juniors that we were just quickly going to grab this cache. It pays to have juniors with you when looking for caches in busy areas- no one bats an eyelid at searching tactics. Luckily, there was no-one in the hut, so it was a nice quick find. The hardest part was getting the log out- it was stuck, but we got there eventually!
Signed as NLF and SAC (NewlynFam and Stik-a-Crane, as we had Stik-a-Crane junior with us).

Very clever cache. Tftc.

31-Dec-16
The last day of 2016 and we were passing through the area on our way to a new years camp at Huia, so thought we would stop for this cache in a very busy Titirangi village! Our cache count for the year was 1496 therefore needed a nice round 4 caches to make our count 1500 for the year. Luckily for us the hut was empty and we were able to make the find. TFTC and Happy New Year!

31-Dec-16
On our way to spend New years with friends at a camp ground at Huia and stopped here for a quick drink and to grab a couple of caches on the way.

This was the first one we attempted.

Mr NZTravellers made the find while Miss NZTravellers did the signing duties.

2 more caches means that we have 1500 finds for the year.... am SURE we can do that......

TFTC

30-Sep-16
Had to wait till the bus came and all the muggles taken away. Then it was a quick find.

21-Aug-16
Nice find take tweezers if you want to sign the log book. Tftc

21-Aug-16
Nice easy find. Luckily we read the previous logs and manage d to find a hair clip in the car to help with log extraction. Took home some pizza from Hell. Smile TFTC

12-Aug-16
I grew up in Titirangi, went to school here etc, but havnt been back in quite a few years, so it is nice to be able to come here and find a cache. Lunch at the old hardware store (as I knew it) and a stroll around the village. Thanks for the cache.. A favourite from me for the location. Sorry I didn't have a tool to extract the log, but can give you a description of required.

26-May-16
In the area and it was evening so thought it might be a good time to have a look as not too many people around. Took much longer than it should have but found eventually. Nice camo. TFTC

26-May-16
Thanks for the cache. We are really enjoying to travel NZ with our campervan....

07-May-16

23-Jan-16
Wow. Haven't seen one of these in ages. TFTC.

17-Jan-16
I would imagine that this spot is significantly busier during the day, but around midnight it's pretty dead! Easy find, but I had to improvise a tool because I didn't have my tweezers tonight...got there in the end though! TFTC!

17-Jan-16
Hard spot to keep a low profile even at 9.30pm but think we managed it, nice evening outing with the kids.

16-Jan-16
Tried once, but could not find it. Had a smoothie and re-read the clue and details. Found it this time. Paper in log very waxy and hard to write on.

07-Jan-16
Out and about with Team Welsh to grab the SD series (and any other cache that we passed) along Scenic Drive. A dose of the flu meant that the plan was to do the drivebys and leave the walking for another day. Started at the end and went to the beginning. Thanks.

07-Jan-16
Had arranged to met up with Trout-fly today to pick up as many drive by caches as we could. Had a great time finding 35/35 for the day, There were some people sitting here as we drove past but by the time we had parked and walked back they had gone and the cache was in the first place we looked. Excellent camo. TFTC

22-Dec-15
Up at the village for a cheeky takeout and Mr Bawbaggio found this one. His first cache! Aww

09-Dec-15
Managed to sneak here during the night whilst no one was around! Found after a little bit of hunting around. TFTC!

05-Dec-15
Once I found the right hut, I was better off. Parked down the road, and saw what I thought was GZ, no luck there, tried the next "Corner"... Hmm.... Pull the phone out... OH, That Hut. Quick find, but left log extraction device in the car. Thanks for replacement cache.

25-Nov-15
A great hide, a little bit of hunting for my little one.

22-Nov-15

20-Jul-15
Parked and walked to the centre of Titirangi. It was dark so there were not too many people nearby. It certainly helped being a couple here - one of us spotted the cache and the other could retrieve it. Thanks.
