Thanks for all the finders over the years.

Seems there has been a council clean up. Cache is awol. Only outer container remains...... at least I have a month at home to sort it....
What a disappointment, as we wanted to drop some TB today, we couldn't find it. Little one was sure were the container used to be, and we could still see its mark on the ground. On our way back, we found the container, empty, next to the rubbish bin. Someone must have muggled it.
This was such a cool cache! Went after dark but still found fairly quickly. Of course the day we needed was one of the last containers we opened TFTC
On a road trip down south Mainly getting TMGTs and high favourites. Having lots of fun and seeing lots of places. Thanks to all the COs for some great caches TFTC. Lots of fun with this one. Dry cool cache
On a road trip down south with the mates , primarily targeting TMGTs and high faves.
Last leg of our journey, today will see the completion of the geo tour and a few others in between. A Fp for the fun
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

On a mi ssion in the south island with a few of the team from the BOP grabbing the TMGT caches and a few older caches along the way. This is worthy of a FP original cache container and having to find todays date a cool twist.

Heading north today to Christchurch. Nothing much planned, but perhaps Fizzy grid or highly favourited geocaches.
This was one such cache.
**And it sure was fun.**
Of course it had to be the very last log to find to coincide with today's date. Even wearing the helmet!
I have to give it a FP too - for the construction and the fun. Thank you for the cache

A fitting first cache for the first day of the new year! It took no time at all for Trifolia Argentea to find the right logbook (lucky us!). Thank you for the cache - this one is an impressive creation!
A great first cache for New Year's Day. Found with Ilmari_the_Red, and the 1st was luckily one of the first half-dozen tried. Thanks for the fun!
Thanks for a very creative cache! We were looking for high favorites in the area and weren't disappointed.
The first container I opened I found a log and thought that was it....but no a little more work to find the correct log for the day.
very well constructed and great fun, a favorite for me.

Lol well.... now that's a creative cache. And we found the correct log.
I think some others didn't understand the idea. Date log.

With a morning spent finding a "partial" Eclipse, then out to Rolly for a Revealing Reviewer event, the afternoon was spent gaining some much needed favourites.
A quick find, but probably took three quarters of them to find the 26th, maybe we should have come earlier in the month.
Worth another fave, possibly the favourite of the whole weekend. Cheers.

Stunning day to be out caching with our Southland and Otago friends. Stopped by to pick this cache as we made our way around some of the series and other caches in the area while enjoying the views of the snow capped mountains in the distance. Thanks for the effort of making, placing and maintaining all this cache. We enjoyed this cache so fav from us
With no Mega in sight for the weekend, a bunch of Otago and Southland cachers invaded Christchurch this weekend. Today I cached with Hevic, Gadget169, K.J.R, and natalie247 to blitz our way through a bunch of caches in and around western Christchurch. Apologies for the C&P logs but I'll never catch up otherwise!
Welp, this was an experience. Hevic and I were the only ones who hadn't found this cache and it came highly recommended from the others. What a clever cache concept and a great container - thoroughly enjoyed searching for the correct one here. Cheers!

We are a group of cachers from Invercargill who have come up to raid the largely untapped Canterbury region this weekend. We had a big caching morning this morning, changing tactic this afternoon to instead concentrate on caches with high favourite points. This cache certainly didn't disappoint, although it took us a while to find what we needed. Caches like this make this game so much more enjoyable, thank you for your creativity, fave from me.
We found the cache easily, but had to open almost every single canister to find the correct log. Murphy's law, it was the last one we opened. Clever idea, TFTC
Signed the wrong log at first because I did not read the caches write up correctly but soon fixed that little error and found the right log and signed it
Despite the rain I had a good time down here so I'am planning on coming back down to the South Island in December 2020 or in the following January and this time I will spend at least two weeks down here so that I can take my time and see more of the sights and of course get a lot more caches
I'm down here in the Mainland the last time I was here was back in the late 70s visiting my cousin for the school holidays
This time I'm down here to two reasons.
Reason one is to visit a friend who has come up and visited me and Scoria on numerours occasions. Both Scocia and I have said they we both would come down and visit him many times but we never got round to it and now that scoria is marred it is less likely that we well both get down there at the same time to visit our friend. So I decide not to put it off any longer, so I called him up and arrange to come down to the Mainland for a visit.
Reason two is to get geocaches in the following four regions Marlborough, Canterbury, West coast, Tasman and Nelson targeting Mailbox Virtual and trying to get at least one cache that start with the following letter in each of the four mention regions these letter are A E I L O R T V this letters will allow me to finish off the cache The Spelling Challenge #5: New Zealand (Manawatu) GC5GQVY and any other caches that I collect will be a welcome bonus
Blackie the Sheep
Blackie is a work mascot that likes to travel so when one of us workers goes on a holiday he likes to tag along and have his photo taken at the various place that we visit .
Thanks for the cache

Oops, seems we didn't have all the facts when we signed the logsheet on this one, so can't claim the find correctly (Signed log sheet no.1, should have been 19). We'll be down again and will sign the correct logsheet on that day. Next time I'll make sure the phone is fully charged so we can get all the details instead of scattered ones on the GPS.
Thanks to the CO for advising that we can claim this as a find. tftc

A fun cache, took a while to find the right number. Felt a bit worried when a dog came in to investigate what I was doing, but he wandered away without incident. All (and I mean all) safe and dry here. TFTC
Located about 15m from where my GPS said it should have been? Fortunately, a large cache so more easily spotted; TFTC

Woooow, Huge brain scanner on my head! Let me try...Oh.....!^$%#^&*#&
The host has been taken over, this is an alien from Star 16 in Sector 04. Memory scanning...
Data indicates.....
The host came to the park at dusk...No signs of activities of other earth creatures around the perimeter.
The host approached the GZ without any detour or hesitation. The host grabbed the cache, put on the hat, have some pictures taken by another earth creature came together with him...
The host took down the hat thing...scanning continued...The host started to popping off caps one by another and looking for some paper roll shaped thing...Unbelievable, earth civilization still doesn't possess the tech to build Gama-ray omni scanner....
The host found the target, pull out a small stick tool from the pocket and left scripts/marks on the target...
The host retrieved another shiny thing from the pocket and left into the container....
Target behavior incomprehensible...scanning terminated...
Photon scan result of the subject attached...
Data log - 04142019
Translated to Earth version:
Approached the GZ and pull the log after some Some SOME search, signed the log, replaced the cache, left a TB.

Out on some errands and I wanted us to stop here for this cache for the Carnival challenge. We parked and walked to the entrance of this lovely park. Finding the cache was not a problem, but oh boy what fun finding today's date, think maybe two not opened haha. Thanks for the trouble you have gone to with this cache and the fun we had 2wombles.
This cache was easy to find, I had no luck with the canister and mine was the last I opened. Maybe a sign of luck for the future ? We just arrived in Christchurch, and beyond relaxing and looking for cache, we want to find a job... Let's see how this cache can help us with that.
The parc was very quiet this Sunday morning, when suddenly two dogs came running and barkling around us. Our son got really scared, and was also scared they would destroy the cache. Hopefully they ran away and we could finalize our log. We left some swaps and a TB (for Australia)

For our NZ visit we created a "wishful-thinking-to-do-list" ... knowing we can not do them all but we can at least try. Old caches, earth, virtual and webcam are on the top of our list... but also some traditionals, multi etc...
Today our last day in Christchurch before flying to Sydney so we picked some special caches nearby...
This cache was suggested during our event yesterday and indeed, worth a visit for sure.
Favo in!

Wow what a cache, and how amazing to be reminded of just how much Canterbury has been affected by all those shakes. I'm sure many people's lives will never be the same. Thanks for the awesome hide and the contribution to an awesome day's caching.
Cool cache.

Awesomecache. Found with Kittykatch and Smittengranny on a caching holiday to NZ. Been an amazing trip . Today we are traveling from Hokitika to Christchurch. Lots of fun happening and fabulous views. TFTC
This was our first find on this visit to Christchurch. We seemed to take the more obstructed route to the cache container but exited with ease. In searching for the 13th I’m sure we visited every other calendar day but persistence paid off. An original design with an interesting story about its creation and well deserving of a favourite point.
I've wanted to find this one for a while, and having a trackable hidden in my honor sitting in it was the perfect excuse! One of my coworkers took me here on our lunch break so that she could see what geocaching was like and I could finally find this cache and grab the trackable. This was a frustrating but fun cache. Thank you for hiding and maintaining it!
Well that one was fun! We are on a vacation from Canada to see family. We stayed 2 nights in Christchurch and are now on our way to Dunedin. The girls found the cache and had fun finding the log. Grabbed 2 TBs and dropped 2 we have bought from Canada. One had a mission to get to Chch from the USA so this should help it while the other is mine trying to get back to Canada.
A TB called 'Book-thief's Next Chapter' was just dropped into this cache. It has traveled from Ohio originally, with the goal of making it to NZ. The person that the TB is named for now lives in Christchurch (moving there from Ohio) and we want her to be the next person to pick the TB up. PLEASE be considerate and let this bug finish its mission! Hopefully, Book-thief will be there soon to grab it. Thank you.
Found this today with Dad before we drove to Dunedin. This is a really cool cache!
I needed the hat (which has been steady in this cache and has not multipled anymore) as my hair is all messed up from going under the bushes looking for container.
Gevonden!
Back on the road again for another international trip. This time to Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan and South Korea.
Like our previous trips we focussed on old caches, high favorites, rare cache types and pretty locations.
Most of the trip was together with Plaguerider, Zanna and FLtravelers, but some of it I did solo.
Logs were signed as DATT (Do All The Things) and if there were answers, we typically sent them as a group.
Thanks for maintaining the caches for us.

**Trip log:**
Found during Team DATT's (Do All The Things) annual international caching trip consisting of FLtravelers, PlagueRider, waterfan5 and myself. Africa kicked it all off back in 2016, with a follow up European tour last year. I tried to pitch Asia but the pull of the Great Ocean Road and completing our 6th continent was too strong, and we landed on week long road trips through both Australia and New Zealand. Before meeting the team in Sydney though, I was able to schedule some layovers in Asia (Beijing, Bangkok and Singapore), so in the end I got a bit of everything. =)
**New Zealand Day 14 - Greymouth -> Christchurch:**
Our last day in NZ! It was packed with lots of fun things though, my favorite being the giant boulders at Castle Hill; what an absolutely amazing place! Driving through Arthur's Pass was also pretty neat, along with our evening explorations in downtown Christchurch. While the country may be small, it provided us with lots of fun memories I'll cherish forever. Perhaps one day I'll find my way back. =)
**Cache Log:**
Nicely done. There used to be one like this in Colorado I found many years ago.

We’re on our annual international geocaching trip as Team DATT (Do All The Things) comprised of FLtravelers, PlagueRider, waterfan5, and zanna. This year we chose to explore Australia and New Zealand. Zanna and I decided to do a two-day stopover in Beijing, a three-day stopover in Bangkok, and a 12-hour layover in Singapore on our way to meet up with the rest of the team in Sydney.
Once we got the Team back together, we made a “bee-line” to Lane Cove and various caches around Sydney. Then we headed down the coast on A1. After visiting Wasp Head, we headed up through Canberra and down M31 to Melbourne, after a webcam stop on Mount Buller.
We had a great time in Melbourne, which is my favorite city in Australia so far, then onto the Great Ocean Road, the highlight of Australia for this trip. After a couple days (not nearly enough) we left the ocean road and headed up A6 towards Victor Harbor (webcam) and Adelaide (webcams) for our flight to Auckland. Seems we found every webcam in Australia.
After a short week in Australia, we flew into Auckland and continued with our explorations in New Zealand. We drove over to Tauranga, and then down to Rotorua and Taupo, enjoying the thermal features. We headed down 5 to Napier, with stops at a couple of waterfalls, and then down to Wellington to catch the ferry to the South Island.
We spent the night in Picton, and then over to the awesome west coast, before crossing over Arthur’s Pass on our way to Christchurch for flights home.
We targeted old caches, highly favorited caches, earthcaches, virtuals, and of course webcam caches, and anything else that got our interest along the way. Logs were signed DATT. Answers, where required, were sent by one of the team members. Thanks for adding to the enjoyment of our trip with this cache. Great spot.

Spending the day with KCN on the was back up to Taranaki. What else to do but go caching...
The outer box was an easy find... But by the time we found #12 there were just 4 unopened days!
Awesome idea, might do something similar down south.
Took to TB to move up the country.
Thanks for the smilie 2wombles.

I'ive started my beautiful trip of the South Island in Christchurch, I've visited many beautiful locations. I've travelled via Lake Tapeko, from Dunedin to the most southern part of Bluff. I've then continued with a cruise in Milford Sound and then back to Queenstown.
From there on I've visited Wanaka and the Haast pass to the Franz Josef glacier. I went all the way up to the Abel Tasman NP. Richmond und Nelson as the sonnierst cities were on my list as well.
I've soon reached the east coast in Picton and Blenheim.
After a couple of days, I've then travelled back to Christchurch via Kaikoura.
I've spent a couple of days in Christchurch and it's surroundings.
I've visited many geological sites and have found many caches along the way.
I've travelled 3500km and have experienced so much.
Thank you to all the owners

In CHCH for a few days whilst jgirl1880 completes a course for work. Previously attempted this one the night before but saw a person also wandering through the park so decided to come back today in the daylight. Found on the 15th go. Maybe if one of us was wearing the helmet we would have found it quicker!
I wasn't going to look for any caches in Christchurch but noticed the high number of favourite points been given to this one so decided to stop to check it out while passing. No problem finding the cache - and a nice large one as well. Shook the cache but there was no obvious sound about where the log was placed. I couldn't believe my luck when the log was in the first one I opened but I noticed there was only a few logs and everyone had logged it on a 31st and then I noticed a large black 31st at the top. Obviously more to this one than I thought. Opened six more before I found number 9 and was pretty pleased with that. Disappointing to see another couple of signatures with an unrelated date. Now I know exactly why this cache has been awarded so many favourites and here's another coming your way. Brilliant cache thanks 2wombles! # 11,889
Having been 'guided' to this cache as one to do, we just had to it. We won't say how many we opened as we assumed there might be some method to the layout- nah - just random. Did establish that some folk are lazy and just sign anywhere. 1st Mate reckoned it was the most ingenious she had ever seen so it gets a favourite point. TFTC
In Christchurch for a long weekend. Off to the monthly challenges before heading home so just had to find this on the way. Cache located very quickly (how could you miss it?!) and straight away I had visions of what could be inside. Wow how cool is that!!! Going to have to take a seat for this one...took me 8 containers til BINGO. What an AWESOME cache and totally deserving of a favourite point. TFTC
What fun!!! We’d opened half of them before we found 26th. An FP for ingenuity and laughs. TFTC
Fantastic, brilliant, novel, witty, well hidden, cunning hidden reserve, private, just perfect.
20 January 2018 10:42 2 unopened by the time I found the correct one! Tftc, it shook a FP from me!
Found during our holiday to New Zealand together with GeoFinn. Touring in a campervan through this amazing country; second time here, now with our son. 5 weeks was over in a blink; already plans for a third time.
Travelling, geocaching, hiking, kayakking, swimming, mountains, lakes, geyers, beaches; it was amazing. CO's thanks for your cache, it made our trips even more fun.

I'm from Norway, escaping the cold winter and travelling around New Zealand for 7 weeks, using geocaching as my tourguide. Today was my last day in Christchurch, so the focus was to find all of the challenge-caches. I love challenge-caches, that's what made me addicted to this game, and that's what keeps me going. It's also nice to collect the rewards for all the hard work.
About this cache:
This cache was in the middle of a challenge-trail, and it's a size large, so of course I wanted to stop for it. Once I found the right entrance to the bush it was an easy find. Finding the right container was worse. I had opened almost all the possibilities, when I finally found the right log. What an amazing cache, this one will for sure get a favouritepoint!! Thank you so much!

This cache has been on my to do list for a year so today we decided to do something about it. Great location for a hide like this and one that the kids had a good time hunting down the logbook. Thanks 2wombles for the creativity here.
This adventure took me longer than I ever expected. Finding a large cache should not be difficult but I seemed to find myself in an area that seemed to match the coordinates and hint; but no cache. After searching for a while I headed back to open ground and saw what I was after on the way. It's fair to say I haven't seen a cache constructed in this manner before. Another lengthy period of time followed before I found myself in possession of number 27.
We had a day in christchurch following us dropping someone off at the airport to travel to the mother land and we had 6 hours to spare before picking someone else who was coming here from the mother land for a 3 week holiday. So we went and did some caching and this was one on the list. Cheers
The first NZ cache for LadySim and I. We picked up our car at the airport nearby and grabbed a couple on the way to our accommodation for the night. Found easily and in good condition. Thanks for the cache.
Out for a drive with my nonagenarian parents and my geocaching North Island sister. Dunsandel, Hororata, West Melton and back to Christchurch. Last of several caches we located along the way. Nifty cache! #1536. TFTC.
Out for a circuit today - down to Dunsandel, over to Hororata and back to Christchurch through West Melton. Picked up several caches along the way and had a lovely sunny day with family members. Enjoyed this cache - what a beauty - scores a favourite from me, TFTC
I was down here for work and had a Ccouple of spare hours. I found this with a hint from Gorby. I love this cache. FAV POINT from me!
I have been told be rustynz that its time to log my Christchurch finds
Came into town for a 3 day weekend of fun with a group of Westies (rustynz, gorby & jag50)
Sorry for the generic log - but thanks to the CO for creating and maintaining their caches.

Caching with Team West (rustynz, rebel98, gorby & jag50) day 2, of our wild weekend of fun in Christchurch
This was recommended to us at the event yesterday, and I am pleased to say it deserved the praise, and favourite points it has earned. Probably my favourite find for the weekend; very funny and creative.
As to the cache page, almost sounds like a story board for a movie (think Gremlins how they multiplied with water?) but this time its related to the earth moving. Maybe contacting GNS science might be able to give you a logical explanation as to how this happened? nah somethings need to be an unexplained mystery?
Thanks for the hide, and bringing us to this lovely spot.
Lovely to meet the CO's + 2 little wombles at the event yesterday!

Down in Christchurch for a few days with Gorby, Rebel98 and RustyNZ. This one was recommended to us at the event the day before. We talked the crew into checking this one out with one other while on the way to do a puzzle series. We were not disappointing finding one of the more inspiring caches in the area. Clever, creative and fun to complete and fill out the log. It earns a favourite point from us and was our favourite for the weekend.
A group of us West Aucklanders came down to Christchurch for 3 days of caching fun and adventures. Today we happen to be rustynz, Rebel98 and Jag50 x2 and myself Gorby. We do this on a frequent basis… go away for 3 days here there and everywhere, hire a car and go for it caching.
We left the YMCA right on time, at 8am, then one cache before this one. This cache was recommended to us by the C.O at my event yesterday. With so many FP's I for one, as were the team, were very keen to have this cache on our wishlist. So this morning we parked up and Mrs Jag50 found the cache then the fun began! That is very original alright, we laughed at the concept and it took awhile to find the correct paper. Photos were taken so we could show others and it definitely gets a FP from me to add to the many it already has. Thanks 2wombles or is that 4wombles now.....

We are over from Australia on holidays, sadly our time in New Zealand is quickly coming to an end. This cache was our final find during our month long New Zealand adventure. We arrived at GZ quickly found the cache but we had to open nearly every container before we found the right one, had some laughs at GZ, dropped some trackables off before heading back to our accommodation to pack up.

Before leaving town and driving to Oumaru we went to this one drawn by the many favorite points given.
We were not disappointed.
Thanks for the puzzle.

I do believe we logged it correctly, even though our brains is not that big.

Squuuueeeeeeee a large cache for a change, they are few and far between. Oh and an added challenge because well why not!! Attempt 7 and booyah. Think I spotted someone in my rearview mirror leaving the area as I started. Couldn't find the hint spot then turned around and saw the big beauty. Tftc
Awesome cache and awesome blurb/story. Took a bit to track it down amongst the bush but got there.
Didn't take too long using a systematic search to get the right log. Awesome idea. Favourite from me tftc
