How happy was i when OL MATE SMOKEY BEAR had a list from back in the ages that wasn't updated with archived caches haha.
Does even cache these days ????????????????
Well the weekend went well starting with a river, fire swag and beers ??????
Then on fhe way out Smokey saw this one (on the old list) so we went for a check.
Not wanting to get my Heels wet i told smokey to go get his car and reverse over the river while i stood on the side step lol.
After scrambling up we looked and widened the search area, 10 min later the shovel came out and we opened a hole big enough for a local gold mine.
Once the hole was dug smokey was lowered down with a torch and BINGO !!!
WHAT AN AREA ????????

Unfortunately there does not seem to be any evidence that indicates that steps have been taken to resolve the issue/s associated with this placement or an indication as to when this might take place
It would appear the owner of this cache listing is no longer interested in the cache and the cache has been abandoned.
As such the cache is being de-listed (Archived). If there are components or remnants of the cache, please recover them as we don't want to litter our environment with Georubbish.

Hi Grey Ghost 69,
This cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed, as well as to remove it from search listings.
Please note that CO's of caches disabled during the current COVID19 crisis will be given some extra time to react as we recognise that CO's can't always just pop out and fix the issue. Caches where the cache owner does not currently feel safe to maintain will not be archived.
#What should you do:-#
- Should you feel it safe for you to maintain and address this cache now, AND your regional Health and Governmental authorities allow it, please feel free to do so.
- **Alternatively,** what you need to do is place a Write Note log indicating a date when you you expect you might be able to attend to the issue/s.
#Please Note#
When I next check on the cache, if there is no acknowledgment from the CO as requested above, the cache will most likely be de-listed (Archived).

Nah, didn't find it. I was up here last year with my mate and we had a good look around nearer to the river but came up empty handed back then. This time was no different unfortunately.
After a rather bumpy and slippery ride down Flat's Tk, I left "The Trouble & Strife" in the car to regain her composure as she was looking rather pale, with eyes bulging and it would have required extensive surgery to remove her from both the seat to which attached herself clam-like and from the dashboard that she likewise held onto with a fingernail death grip!
Unlike the previous time when I searched for this cache, this time I climbed the hill, battled through prickly acacia bushes to the GZ, searched around the few hiding spots within about 5m of the GZ but still couldn't locate the cache. Then I clambered back down to the river, edged my way along and up the rock face while getting shredded by blackberries and again coming up empty handed. The only "find" I had was a Fiskars Axe that some plonker had left behind right at GZ while collecting firewood up on the hill. Maybe they came across the cache, were then overcome with excitement and forgot why they ventured up here . . . or that they had even brought the axe with them! Oh well, their loss and my gain. A bit of a clean & sharpen and it should be ready to use again.

A long search here resulted in a DNF. Tricky area with no reception either. Thanks anyways.
Set out on an adventure to revisit Toombon and while we where over here we decided to get some more caches. So after pulling up i set off in search of the cache but after searching for half an hour i conceded defeat and left without finding it. Thanks 4x4 Earth Crew for the cache we will return
Another day out exploring the area looking for old mines & relics,
Seen 4 wriggley repiles so far today but some just got a bit to close I reckon, 1m
Close to the end of the day out & Im thinking this place might be quiet enough
for a crack at a quick find, sign & go ? Ugh ! no way that is gunna happen here
Found today with cuppladays, took a bit of work to find & quite a lot of battle scars,
Happy to be adding my name to this cache

This one started out as an interesting one as we had a crack at coming in from the COMPLETELY WRONG SIDE OF EVERYTHING, and tried to bash our way through ridiculously stupid undergrowth until sanity prevailed and we backed out and drove around to the RIGHT camping area for the right approach.
The campers at the first spot must have thought we were a bunch of loonies.......cause we did.
Anyway.....back to the action.....
So we rolled into the CORRECT camping area to be met with a full house, and a large setup blocking our best approach, so we decided to go ninja style, that meant walking up along the creek to our designated crossing point, out of view of the bazillion muggles.
After THAT fight with the prepubescent blackberry bushes, we made it to the next hurdle....crossing the creek without taking our shoes off.......
Dad was elected the first stunt pilot, and he made it across in one piece and still dry....
Then it was the Queens turn......
She started out alright.....then it started to go south, and east and west and north.....and then the inevitable happened...."splosh"....
Not "splash!"......just a "splosh".....
One wet foot......
Despite this surmountable odd, we soldiered on, and followed a Geotrail/animal track up the hill and found the nicely hidden cache.
With our names scribbled in the log, we made the reverse descent back to the river for round two....
This time we had nothing to lose and threw caution to the wind by just casually waltzing across the rocks with nary a care in the world.....and that seemed to work as not a drop of water was harmed in the crossing of the creek.....nor shoe.
Thanks 4x4 Earth Crew for another fun cache.
