In line with my current thoughts on HQ and their management of reviewers I am not wasting time or money on cache replacement. At some point someone will wake up and realise all the cool hiders have left the game disenfranchised over how they are managed by a company blind to the powerbase the people in charge of handling reviewers has.
Nope! Not today, unfortunately. The upside was we really enjoyed the walk on this lovely, sunny day. I have a feeling the cache is kaput so I'll keep checking to see what transpires so we can have another go at finding it in the future.
Well at least we enjoyed the walk around the wetlands gathering all the information required as we enjoyed the beautiful day, shame we couldn't locate the cache though.
Pros: kenneallykrew and I enjoyed a nice walk with the geokids, we saw a turtle and many other bugs and birds, learnt a lot about the wildlife and found all the waypoints easily
Cons: the Brewery we wanted to go to after was shut but worst of all the cache appears to have been muffled or affected by weather. We signed the back cover of the log that was stuck in the bottom half of a sistema container sans lid. Thanks for the experience anyway.

Needs Maintenance- bottom half of container attached to possible GZ but contents not in the area.
Found with geo wife.....
Just base of container....no lid or log

Found after a really lovely walk through the wetlands, nice way to get out and about now that we can, also found this cool leaf hehe
Memorable because I really love wetland wanders and this is well managed and meanders nicely. So Seeing this enroute to Melbs this is quite a late log. TFTCand incentive to call by
I’m trying to fill in some dates on my calendar so this one was today’s. We drove 2hrs to Seymour to meet up with family for a birthday lunch and enjoyed our walk around the wetlands on the way home while the muggles in the group waited for us at the shops.
Saw two snakes and a weird rare flying bug so an awesome walk in a spot I didn’t know existed until we were looking for a cache in the area. A well laid out multi, easy to follow and good sized container at the end with Coordinates that are spot on.
Thanks Clever Monkey for a fun walk on the long drive home.

Wow! Loved the journey for this cache! Saw a tiger snake or two, some super unusual but gorgeous flying bugs. Loved this cache. TFTC
On the way home from a lunch in Seymour with the fam we went out and found a cache. Told the ones waiting for us that it’s a quick one but we lied. Saw 2 snakes and some weird bugs. Wasn’t to hard to find TFTC
Having been here several times in the past we thought it would be a great idea to finally grab this multi. We had a really good time walking around the wetlands and taking wrong turns but we eventually got the cache. Thanks for the cache Clever Monkey.
A really fun walk around the wetlands trying to discover all the requested information. Our geodog was not such a fan of the meshed wooden pathways, and had to carried, but he's a sook.

After a reasonable dinner at the local bistro decided to walk it off. Didnt do all the WP but found the cache easily enough. Then discovered the pen not working and none in the cache

I've driven past this multi too many times, always with passengers who aren't going to attempt a 7 stage multi. Today I was heading to Wang on some secret business and stopped by for an enjoyable stretch of the legs. TFTC.
That was fun, I learnt a lot and enjoyed the walk. The container was found muggles with the contents outside, the log is fine. On my way for more caches and to Mt Buller. It's well over 20 today and hope the snow won't melt away!
Beautiful day for a stroll along the boardwalk as we collected the clues along the way. Not a soul around and was great to see plenty of water in these wetlands. Another place we would never had visited, if not for geocaching.
Thank you for an enjoyable multi Clever Monkey.

Finally got to have a couple of days off so I headed up to Moleswoth for a few days of R&R and caching of course.
Last day before heading home so after beating the morning rain it was off to find a few caches around Yea and Alexandra.
The rain has stopped so after visiting the info centre it was off for a nice stroll around the wetlands.
I seemed to have the place to myself so I had plenty of time to take in the sights and sounds of the wetlands.
A couple of areas could do with some serious rain as they were looking a bit dry but it was an enjoyable walk around the place.
As I went I picked up what was required and soon had a set of coords.
The cache was found open and spread all over the ground, so I packed it up and placed it all where it should have been.
A fav goes out to you for bringing me here and an enjoyable multi to complete.
Thanks TFTC.

A lovely walk around the wetlands collecting the necessary information. The kids and the dog had fun. We left a rainbow lorikeet swap, as it seemed fitting for this cache! We hope the next person enjoys it.
We went out today to "road test" my new glasses that I needed following eye surgery... and headed up to Yea for lunch. Before eating though, we paid a visit to the "not so wet" Yea Wetlands. We had a pleasant stroll around collecting information for this cache but, considering how warm and dry it was, it wasn't really surprising that we didn't see too much wildlife.
Thanks **Clever Monkey** for putting this cache together and giving some encouragement to visit a pleasant location that we otherwise normally drive straight past.

We have now in Yea and will be heading South towards Melbourne and finding some caches
We discovered this cache when we got to the caravan park. We had just fnished taking the Franklins Walk. Fortunately I took pictures of all the palque during the walk so we were able to get all the the numbers except one for "D" which I googled. So today before we left Yea we went oout to find the cache - easily found.
We will make this a favourite

We have waited for 35 years to visit our friend in Yea!! Now that we have retired our dream has come true!
A wonderful walk through the not so wetlands during this dry season but we absolutely loved the tranquility. Has to be a favourite. Thank you.

Enjoyed the walk around the wetlands after a nice drive from Geelong. We made this trip specifically to retrieve one of our TB that has travelled the world and on the rare occurrence of returning to Australia we have collected it for a break or an early retirement. SL TFTC
Enough of the highway traffic !! [:o]
Time to take a peaceful stroll through the wetlands
And these wetlands are a beaut spot on a sunny day.
Lots of shade to keep the flies away [^]
I found the clues as I wandered around,
and on me way back the cache was found
Fave dance time for a visit to this delightful area.

Found on a trip from Melbourn to Yea, this was the first place I visited the first time Iwas in Australia 20 years ago.
Found this cache on 5.1.19 at 9:34 AM. I took the geodog for an early morning walk at 6am along the wetlands trail and took photos of the information boards to get the coordinate numbers to find the cache. As I didn’t have a pen I walked back to the Yea Caravan Park, worked out the correct coordinates and went back and found the cache. My Geoson and I then went and had berry pancakes and coffees at the Mint Jam cafe.
What a fabulous well constructed multi. Thanku. Kids enjoyed running ahead to each sign to find the necessary information while I looked for koalas in the trees. No koalas spied. Found all the necessary info that led us to gz. Fav for sure. Wetlands were dripping with rain. Ideal time to visit.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

Found by Mrs Riddell on return of fantastic 4 day hike in the high country including the Bluff, the Nobs, Mt McDonald and Eagles Peaks.
It was lovely to just meander around these fantastic Wetlands that we have so often driven past.
A great little asset.
It would make a lovely night cache for children.
TFTC and for a chance to stop and appreciate the Yea Wetlands.

My first multi. A bit tricky to get started, but figured it out in the end with a nice walk to boot.
Started the walk and then realised that hey, there’s a cache here! Bummer I forgot my pen though, so hoping a picture will suffice. Thanks for a cool cache idea and for giving us another reason to finish the walk.

The last cache for the day for beckNmonts and I. We enjoyed the stroll around this wetlands, gathering information from various unpronouncible things.
Found the log on top of instead of inside the cache, but returned it to how it should be.
An enjoyable multi indeed.

Been up to Goughs Bay for a quick overnight trip and looking for trip break on the way back to Melbourne.
I've gone past this a few times but not had time to stop but this trip it's just what I needed and what a surprise. An excellent adventure walk around the wetlands and a well put together taste by the Wetlands Group. On my journey gathering clues I guessed where the prize would finish up being and my geosenses did not let me down. I had to cool my heals a little at the GZ due to other visitors enjoying a stroll around (how dare they ).
Sorry I hadn't gotten to this one earlier and a favourite for sure.

MontsII dropped us off at one end of the walk today, and headed to the alternative parking waypoint to pick us up. A quick walk around whilst taking in the views, frogs and birds (and also wondering what all the steps to nowhere are), we soon had all the clues, and headed to a spot we were kicking ourselves we didn’t use geo-sense and search earlier. We soon found the cache (the log was sitting on top of it, I think the last note in it was from a muggle) and headed back to the car. Thanks for the walk through the wetlands today Clever Monkey
After having solved this on our last visit, but unable to look for the cache due to lots muggles around, we were pleased to find it today with only a few muggles well in the distance. Thanks Clever Monkey for the enjoyable journey whilst learning about the wetlands. A favourite coming your way.
Decided to get lunch in yea after driving up from ferntree gully to see my friend in yea. We went for a walk in the wetlands, even after living here for a couple of years my friend had never been in. A nice walk, and an easy find at the end.
Yay.....found it early on a rather brisk fresh nippy morning. Nearly missed last waypoint...soon found cache & signed log.

A pleasant afternoon stroll through the wetlands was just what the doctor ordered after spending the day in the saddle of our treadlies. We were having issues with the GPSr so resorted to the Phone on this one which probably made the whole experience a site easier.
Thanks for bringing us to this location; well worth the visit

Today was going to be a relaxing day after yesterday’s more challenging hike. We left our van at camp in the State Forest and went to visit Yea, starting at the Wetlands. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring this wonderful project, spending a lot of time here and admiring the many aspects of natural beauty and excellent interpretive signage. The cache notes were easy to follow (though we inadvertently went in the opposite direction), the transformation of and the respect for this area are tangible. In the end we went into the visitor centre, tried out the interactive displays and had a chat with the volunteers. About an hour and a half well spent!
Favourite point awarded for the location and the clean, bold hide.
TN, left a Frog TB and discovered another TB. TFTC

I really enjoyed my stroll and it was only a stroll as the afternoon was hit and humid. The birds and frogs were remarkably quiet probably because the wind in the trees was making the leaves rub rattle and rustle so much. A really lovely multi and a favourite point for it Thanks Clever Monkey

Out and about with Echidna44 for a day trip to Bonnie Doon. Parked in the wrong spot to start with but thoroughly enjoyed the walk through the wetlands. Picked up the clues easy enough and led us back to GZ. Nice easy find. Good hide. Left TB Thanks for the cache Clever monkey
Out with xambo4u on our way to Bonnie Doon, we had time to have a lovely stroll in the spring sunshine. I pass here very often, but always at night, and have wanted to the lovely wetlands walk. We started from the wrong place, so did a little extra walking which was very pleasant. We collected the information and arrived a GZ, where we found the cache tucked safe and sound

*The drive from the Bellarine to Alexandra, took rather longer than Nuvi suggested, when punctuated by a variety of "cache stops."*
This one ticked all the multi boxes for us - a fun way to learn about the environment, birds in abundance and another classic Clever Monkey hide.
Thanks Clever Monkey for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

This was my third and last multi of the day and I saved the best for last as it was a lovely relaxing walk around the wetlands. I was staying locally and I didn't mid the threatening weather and brief showers as there were bird hides to duck into.
Got the maths done okay as I arrived accurately at GZ.

On our way home from a camping 4wding weekend up near sheepyard flats and decided to stop for a geocache and nature walk with our young geokids.
Wetlands was lovely - 4 yr olds behaviour over a lost stick not so lovely . But after lots of tears we carried on and discovered all the clues to find this cache and were rewarded with a lovely pathtag.
Thanks for getting us out in nature .
Favourite from me as I love this kind of Multi

Lovely walk on a cold day! Nice little area and our first cache for quite some time! Good to get back into it with a good multi with the kids!
Found after two lovely walks. Came last night, saw lots of birds, but it got dark quite quickly. Knocked a big spider off the cache when I opened it.
We have been wanting to fo this multi fo such a long long time. Thanks for bringing us to a lovely spot. Lots of grandma and grandpa muggles. Had to wait till they slowly walked away
The second of today's bushwalks in this region brought us to these wonderful wetlands. And for the second time today, our walk was going in the 'right' direction so were able to gather the clues as we strolled.
With a final GZ keyed in, we were soon there where Al extracted the nicely sized stash at 14:30 to open its account for 2017. Now for some post-walk(s) snags.
TNLNSL, although our Happy New Year to the cache geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Clever Monkey.

Our second bushwalk for the day in this area. Collected the clues as we made our way around an enjoyable walk - although we backed out of the 380m wetlands loop as it was totally overgrown and very snaky looking. Made it halfway and decided not to proceed with that bit. Made our way back to the main track continued collecting clues. Eventually had them all and made the find quickly at 2:30pm.

As my wife had gone away for a few days, I figured it was a good time to do some caching and bonding with Crusty K9. This was a revisit as I had to ask the CO for help in understanding the clues. tftc.
Nice quick stop by to check of the last of the few caches in the area, GPS bounced around a little but was still able to find and sign. Tftc
Decide to get out of the car and take a long walk but it was short than I thought but nice.

After confirming the coords with the co we returned this morning to find the cache staring us in the face. I have no idea how we missed it yesterday - a severe case of cache blindness or was it was paranormal . Thanks for bringing us to this spot, we thoroughly enjoyed the walk - the mozzies loved us and the snakes avoided us. A favourite from us.
Beautiful afternoon walk through these wetlands, learnt a lot, but unfortunately no smiley for us. We checked the coords but couldn't see where a one litre container could be hidden in a nature friendly place without being found. So maybe, as the previous cacher DNF the cache, it may have been muggled or it could be our cache blindness. Will submit a maintenance report so co can check.
Found this morning after parting ways in Yea with family that were heading North for the school holidays while I braved the wet and cold weather down here. The area was well and truly a wetlands today as the recent rain over the past week has flooded the area so much that I had to head back to the ute and after coming to a very wet road block at stage three and grab my special caching equipment, my bike. No point getting my feet totally inundated and I had brought it along anyway to tackle the rail trail up the road to do a few caches. I headed back in this time a bit higher and dryer and grabbed the last required numbers, some of the wp's were completely surrounded by a few inches of fast moving water and the pathway through was plotted while perched up high on my bike hoping that I don't discover a pot hole or submerged branch and end up for a impromptu dip. With the co-ord's locked in I made my way to a very soggy final gz and found the cache container nice and dry. Thanks Clever Monkey for the cache and for bringing me to this great spot, certainly a area I won't forget. TNLN.
Suscoe was heading for Lake Eildon today and we headed off prior to the sun rising to make the most of the day.
We made good time and our first find was picked up on the Hume north of Melbourne.
Our main goal was to collect as many caches as we could along the roads from Tarnagulla to Alexandra and we did pretty well in the end.
It was a lovely day for caching with plenty of sun shine and almost no wind.
We found a terrific range of caches and learned some things about this area that we had no idea about. This is a road that we have never travelled before and so every turn brought a new view of wonderful grazing land with lots of cattle and sheep.
Thanks to Clever Monkey for this multi, what a delightful walk around the wetlands.
A few large trees had fallen in recent times but had been cleaned up off the tracks.
What a nice location.

It was chaotic in the heart of Yea today. So much holiday traffic, CFA collectors, a fire truck as well as an ambulance trying to make its way through. We were glad to park and escape it all by walking in the wetlands. We are not sure it was any less dangerous there, with all the kids on bikes speeding along the tracks! We managed to negotiate all the waypoints safely and arrive at GZ unscathed. SL at 1.14pm Left a couple of can openers to help the traffic open up a bit! Heard a couple of frogs, but there is not much water at the moment, lots of parrots and heaps of other people taking a break from holiday driving to enjoy the surrounds and signage. #3473 TFTC clever monkey - well worth taking the time to do this multi.
A perfect day to walk around the wetlands. Lots of Superior Fairy Wrens about and a startled echidna. Fun gc, thanks.
Great trail in a favourite spot of mine. Needed Geosense to find the cache in the end, but got it. Thanks. I like this type of cache.
#710 - After driving past this cache this morning because I was not sure if I had time, I decided to return on the way home to complete it.
Cache #51 for the day after my adventures up Mount Disappointment.
This was my first time in the Yea Wetlands and I really enjoyed my late afternoon walk through the park.
The GZ coordinates were strait forward and easy to find and the cache at GZ was so well hidden but so obvious!
Another great cache Clever Monkey, gets a Goat point from me.

Had so much fun completing the walk, finding the boards and answering the questions but could not find the cache at the end
After getting up stupidly early to drive from Melbourne to Molesworth for a FTF, I decided to cache my way back to Melbourne. As manzie doesn't particularly like multis, I decided to undertake this chilly morning walk today since I was on my own. After haphazardly collecting the required info at the waypoints, I calculated the wrong GZ, but luckily I realised my stupid error relatively quickly and was soon heading off in the correct direction. Once at GZ, my GPSr was pointing me to a place that defied logic, given where I was standing, so I ignored it and conducted my own search using my geosense. I quickly located the cache and signed the log. At least something went right for me ... TFTC and the little walk!
Found with sharkiefan and LouiseAnn after attending the Lake Eildon event.
After attending the event we had time to look for some more caches on our way home. I found a total of 15 caches today.
We very much enjoyed this nice walk and the easily retrieved answers at all the waiponts. After calculating the final coords the cache was quickly located and we got our names signed into the log before we were off to reward ourselves with an icecream
Thanks for the cache Clever Monkey!

Nothing like a walk around a nice park on hot day. We collected all the clues and found the cache easily. There was a meeting of the dinosaurs whilst we were there. We picked this cache up at 4:31pm. We then headed off for a well earned icy pole. We got back to the car in time to meet maccamob who were about to do the very same cache.
After attending the Lake Eildon GeoTour First to Find draw, Ostara74, sharkiefan and I headed back towards Melbourne, caching along the way. Thanks for the cache Clever Monkey.

Found by Mary & David at 1730. A favourite point from us for this delightful walk. Mary's knees coped well too. Loved the various signs, the views, and the shade from the late afternoon sun. Our former "Yea Verily" cache was close to today's loop walk, and we were delighted to see how much the place has been improved since then. Our thanks to Clever Monkey.
Found with LouiseAnn and Ostara74. We stopped in Yea for ice cream and decided that it would be a reward for doing this multi. A nice walk and clear questions made this a smooth sail for us. Tftc
Today we explored Yea and surrounds using geocaching as a guide.
A straight forward multi in an intersting location.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Last cache found today on the drive home with the missus, after attending the Hotham Gamble event. Stopped to have some lunch at the famous bakery which I saw had recently one best pie for 2014, impressive & tasty too. We checked out the impressive nature center and their interactive displays as it was raining when we arrived at the starting coordinates. Once the rain had stopped we were off to do this cache at last. We worked thru all the stages with ease while learning some interesting facts. At the final stage did the calc's for GZ to realize that a mistake had been made as GZ was over 600m away. Mmmm something is not right, so we retraced our steps checking the values again to discover I had recorded the wrong value for F. With a more logical GZ now calculated we continued on certain that all was good. Once at GZ is was a straight forward find with the cache found easily. We both really enjoyed this multi as it was very informative and there was even a suspension bridge to bounce along on. Thank you to Clever Monkey for placing this cache. Favorite.[^]

Stopped at Yea for brunch and a break on our way home from the Lake Eildon GeoTour weekend. Decided to do this multi to stretch our legs. It was a lovely warm spring day and before we even got to the first waypoint we spotted the tail of a big black snake as it hurried to get off the track for us (the warnings were out at the info centre that they were out today but we stuck to the path as suggested and all was good). What a fabulous wetlands walk, with so much information to absorb. Collected all the required info and the cache was easily found at the end. Thank you for bringing us here - we really enjoyed it.

I have walked this delightful wetlands numerous times, and never tire of the sounds and sights
A lovely stroll around, the birds were in full song, they couldn't drown out the traffic noise though.

Thanks
