Geoboy had us at the wrong tree at first! Nice quick find once at gz. Tftc and bringing us to this lovely spot.
#778Three pairs of eyes made this a quick find. Had a giggle at the GC number, which seems apt given all the cow pat about!
Found with beansproutnz. Took a bit to open, but we signed, sealed, and re-hid. Handily placed log on the beach for a drink and snack break. Tftc
Its a very windy afternoon and the tide is out but still a lovely place to come to.
In the area today for some out doors activity, away from the public, as we are still operating at a level 4 Covid-19 lockdown (self imposed due to having a medically fragile child in the house)..... but today was the busiest walk time I have experienced in the past 2 years..... Jumped on the bike to make travel a little speedier.....
TFTC.

Still, cold winter evening. Sun has set and the sky and harbour are a fading orange as the first stars appear. Sublimely beautiful ... AND I managed to pry the lid off the cache with a nearby sea shell.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Beautiful day to stroll along these wonderful walkways. Nice and easy find with the help of the hint. Thanks for bringing us here. Cool camo. Tftc
Thanks for bringing us here to this beautiful place. The kids enjoyed riding their bikes and we enjoyed finding some caches along the way. Such a nice weather for caching. Cool hide and cool camo. Found together with Piratenschatzsucher and Greenkiwikids and signed as team Piraten. Tftc.
Nice morning to be out walking this lovely path. Not a breath of wind or fog. Nice quick find here. Nice camo.TFTC
With a significant milestone coming up, but still needing about 80 or so caches to get close to the mark a numbers mission was on the cards. With a few new trails placed around Auckland Airport this seemed to be the perfect place to start so having teamed up with Cats&Dragons and with the bikes in tow, we were all set.
As Cats&Dragons had already found a quite a few around this area we mainly focused on those caches that he hadn't found and I'd grab anything else we were also passing. The day was a great success, though we fell a few short of the number needed as we got rained out mid-afternoon.
A huge thanks to all the CO's who's caches we found. Some great quality hides too, which I'll mention in those logs.

It is a nice spot to visit! The kids and grandma are having morning tea by the water while i snuck around the corner to find this one, nice camo!
Didn't take long for michaelteacher to spot this one while I was poking my nose in another area. Tftc
Luckily I spotted this one straight away. Might have been more difficult if my approach had been different. Thanks!
Such a peaceful place one of the reasons we always enjoy our trips out here even with the music from the festival in the background.Another quick find for us here today our main problem was getting in to access it but it wasn’t that hard.
Enjoyed the solitude of this place. Seemed nearly deserted yet you could the city and all its traffic in the distance. Didn’t have a pen so photo evidence of the find. TFTC
By accident, managed to divert from main track and ended up here. Cache was tucked away as expected and a tricky hide. Tftc
We made it all the way to the tree before reading that it had washed up elsewhere. We enjoyed the walk and reading about the history and the birds on the signs on the walk in
Sadly this cache has gone - FB post showed the container washed up on a beach elsewhere.
Cheers,
G.

Good and easy find worried because I wasn't currently up with my tetanus shot but we found it
Out for a ride with the Cubs. Stopped for lunch at the beach and thought we’d take the opportunity to find a cache quickly. Just by chance there were some other geocachers looking for the same cache so it was great to stop and chat with them. TFTC
Find number 4069. I am having a great walk around the area. I went back to the track only to find that it stopped at the beach. An easy walk around to this one. from there. Another good G2 cache. Thank you for the placement.
Maps studied and plans laid for the daily cache trip. The weather was closing in as we approached the general area but this did not put us off. Unsurprisingly there weren't to many muggles or their four legged friends around today. Having found a lovely little fresh stream at the far end of the approach we were able to clean ourselves up from our previous messy experience. We are sure that we have been here before but unsure why we didn't log a DNF - perhaps there were muggles? Who knows, not us! Kiwiscot made a quick retrieval. Now on to the next. TFTC
10.30am - Squirrel Nut Case and myself met up with the Franks from Huntly. Caching today was very wet under foot and even found a couple floating. We spent far too long finding some caches but got there in the end.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap), ABCDF4, and eyespyben... Our plan for the day was to do a general tidy up of caches on Puketutu Island and Otuataua Stonefields... We signed logs as Team H (Huntly) R (Rotorua) P (Papamoa).
Caching today was hard work! We expected a bit of grief, but not to the extent that we encountered. Surface flooding has taken out a big chunk of the low lying walking tracks... Another pair of walking shoes are now soaked through. Some of the ground zones have not been visited in months. We had to do a lot of gardening, pruning, and landscaping to get our hands on several of the hides. Not a lot of quick finds today!
Our iPhone gps settled on one to the exclusion of the other. The hide was at the other... TFTC.

Out with Merlot58 enjoying the nice weather. Spotted this one quickly, but had to wait for cycling muggles passing on the beach before adding some waterproof paper, as log was full and returning to its hiding spot.
As the weather had improved Aiden29 and I decided to enjoy a walk through Stonefields. The log was full so we replaced it with some new waterproof paper and then waited out some muggles who decided they would try and cycle down the beach before returning cache to it's hiding place
Last one for the day with Tinytree and friends. Found by one of the friends as we set them too it. Cache is in good condition. TFTC - last one in the stone fields to find.
Found with Bennett24. Had a great time playing with friends on a fun walk around the park. TFTC.
#181 discovering I was very rusty in the cache finding department, it was a great surprise to find this one immediately! It all went wrong after this... TFTC!
The last find of the morning after the weather finally forced us to turn back. Great camo, we almost overlooked it as it blended in so well. Thanks G-2 for this cache and all the others of yours we found today. We always enjoy finding your caches and today was no exception. Despite being a very soggy experience it was also eventful, diverse, exciting and at times disturbing. Thanks for the adventure.
Found with the kids while on a caching and biking excursion. Great views from here - TFTC!!
Came to Auckland for a flight down to Christchurch today and received a txt telling me that the plane was going to be 90 mins late! Fortunately there was a lovely reserve nearby where we could happily spend the time having a much needed walk in beautiful sunshine... Had to watch the time but managed to pick up six caches on the walk. I'll save the rest for another time. Great camo here, TFTC
Time to clean up this area of previously I found and new caches. Nice quick find this time. TFTC.
Heh, heh !!
I avoided the boggy bits and made it to GZ safely.
Butt ... I do have to wonder how you got the word POO into the cache's GC name
Very fitting for the area [^]
I poked around the rocks for a while,
and soon had this cache flushed out from hiding

Clever puns in the cache description, although it was a quick find. Thanks for the hide as some thought as gone into this.
Awesome camo here !
Def a favourite coming your way !
Started to go the direct way ,,,,, but gumboots would have been needed through the ankle deep boggy water hidden under the rushes and kikyu grass !
So I eventually found a dryer approach ! Phew !
Thanks for this one Glyn !

Had a couple of hours to fill ahead of my flight back to Wellington so decided to swing by a grab a few caches around here. This is where my batteries died, just managed to get this one in. *TFTC G-2, #8737*
Out and about with Just-Lookin finding some geocaches.
Soon had the container located and log signed
Another good bit of G-2 work on the container.

Time for a nice bike ride on a hot but breezy day,
Well camoed, initially discounted as the cache, but on closer inspection it was found.

Out for a walk on another scorcher of a day with okayness. I think we chose the worst way to get here, through the long grass. Was worse than Browns Island! Cool camo and a quick find once we FINALLY got to GZ. Number seven today. TFTC

This was overcome with muggles and their swamp covered dog.
Left for another day.....

Lost pen en route so improvised with a bit or charcoal left over from a recent bonfire in the area. Apologies for crayola style signature. Lovely spot. Watch your ankles, future cachers. Few unexpected dips between rocks. Great camo!!!
I decided this looked like an interesting place to revisit. I been here before but the cache population as increased somewhat since then. Also handy to the Airport, spent a pleasant hour walking around before my flight home. Good one. Cheers and TFTC
Out on the MTB again this weekend picking up caches. Had a lovely ride around here, it was really windy, but no rain at all. All the caches were well placed and only had DNF's on 3 rocky hides, otherwise it was all good.
Thanks for the serie's Sir.

With another day of questionable weather forecast my plans were all over the place and wasn't sure that a powertrail of Route 66 would be a sensible idea, nor any of the other walks that rae dotted around here. Settled instead to target a few earthcaches and get myself out of the 40 something amount I've been on for a few years now. Listed over a dozen and smattered a few others which took my fancy and set out nice and early whilst the rain had stayed off.
After a pleasant overload of Earth caches I headed across to here to start to make a dent in the plethoora of caches since I cleared the M W T P power (pooh-er?) trail a couple of years ago. I got as far away as possible before the rain got me, and the wind and I didn't learn my lesson as I also did the P series, P-1 etc. A nice little walk anyways and some of those hides give me some ideas for my own hides....Only 2 D N Fs on this side of the pooh pond, not too bad.
Thanks for the caches

Spent this early afternoon exploring the Otuataua Stonefields picking up some caches, an area we've never had the oppotunity to visit before. Our last find for the day before looping back to the car. Thanks for the hide!
Another great cache from the bodyguard, you must have learnt all G's tricks. Sorry, still don't get the cache name -it's such a shame as I enjoy a good word play.
