Came to help yummy az eats find this cache yet was not in the place I remember finding it ages ago. And nor could we find it in any other areas that would be a good hide. Might have to come back later and try again ??
Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to Gonefishen07 for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

We thought our family had finished work for the year and we were going to spend the week before Xmas doing 'family time' until my wife got asked if she could do a cover. That was fine with me, as it meant I had the morning free for caching somewhere. The Wonthaggi area was chosen to try to fix some DNFs. Tiz said she would meet me there at 8 am and the plan was set.
The top 3 highlights of the day? Caching and chatting with Tiz, lovely beach locations and the little baby snake that sat on the beach beside me. Shame he was camera shy and boy did he freak me out when Tiz spotted him. Guessing it couldn't have been the same one we saw nearby later.
In the area early, I had time for a few caches before needing to meet Tiz. First cache of the day and an interesting read was had. Afterwards I climbed the tree and thought there are a lot of hiding places, looked down and instantly saw it in its nice hiding place.
Thanks for the cache Gone Fishen 07

Having to leave Philip island because of the motorcycle grand prix tiz13 and l decided to tackle some of the slightly more challenging cache in wonthaggi to which I'm grateful for as we got another find with tiz finding this one 3-3 now... TFTC and for bringing us to this historical site
Yay to me and another tree climb, out and about with Kashbound weaving our way home, an interesting site some interesting history.
Wow this is a cool little spot have always driven past but never stopped, thanks for making us stop and learn some history :3
Quick find - not as high as I thought it would be! Very interesting site! Thanks for making us stop here
Quick find on way home from a job.
Container was open with water and log a bit wet.
Nice wayside stop. I like these spur of the moment quick grabs.

TFTC been looking for this one for years I’m thinking maybe it’s not in the correct spot as it was very easy today !!
Finally, after two DNFs and a blemish on the map for many years, the real 20 shaft has been found!
It turns out that the tree climbing of our past visit was of little use, as the subsequent log helped to direct us to where we should've actually been looking.
Sure enough, it wasn't long on this occasion before the container was spotted somewhere far easier to reach.
Though the cache is in good condition and hidden away nicely, given the terrain rating, I imagine it's out of place.
The logbook was signed nonetheless and there were celebrations all around!
Thanks to Gonefishen07 for the placement!

This was not exactly what we expected here, however a quick look and then a read back at what we should have read first we made a quick find.

In the area for work. Grab some caches . Thanks for showing the area and history. Thanks for the cache. TFTC
Found - at knee level though. Today my lucky day. Didn’t even attempt to replace as there are so many options where it could go.
Notching up another DNF on 20 Shaft; our third, from memory.
No muggles about today but even more tree climbing still didn't deliver the goods. What are we missing...?

Stopped here on my way back from Wonny. Ignored my GPS at GZ and used my geosenses instead. An immediate find, Cheers!
Managed to find it, cool little place I've drove by heaps but never stopped at.

Found after a few frustrating minutes - read the past logs which helped - don’t rely upon gps - rely upon common sense - what would a nature place to put a cache - have a wonder around the base - good luck and tflc
Since the regional Victoria COVID restrictions have lifted we have been spending time each week getting out and about in Gippsland and collecting geo caches again. Once again we have paired up with Rebel Acts, so we will be signing most of the logs “RASP”. Today we have moved on to Kurumburra and Wonthaggi to change all the green markers into yellow smilie faces. The forecast for today is for mainly sunny, but with a 25% chance of rain. We’re optimists, so have decided the rain will hold off until we are safely at home.
With three of us looking for this one it still took us a while to find. Thanks to Rebel for his eagle eyes

The weather was looking good , with restrictions lifted in regional Vic I once again teamed up with SKI Pair armed with My mask and Sanitizer, We had a great day exploring the Bass Coast region, starting at Wonthagi, heading along the coast to San Remo and then to Corinella before heading back over the hills to Warragul. There were quite a few challenging and novel hides in the area. this is one of the caches we found today. with several spots to look took a few minutes before it was spotted.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache.
Some logs were signed as RASP today.

GPS had me a few meters off- and found this in a different spot grounded compared to how I thought I might have to tackle this one again. Hopefully it’s in the original hiding place? Signed the log and returned it as found. Tftc
Looks like it was not in original intended spot, however a good spot none the less and we placed it back there. Nav was off
Hmmm.. feel like this one might require some climbing - will have to try again soon..
Passing through the area and found your cache along the way.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

I came here after dark another time and did not have luck. Today, after explaining the cache to the youngest, we were here and she was searching. She was able to make the find fairly quickly and so was able to move on without much delay
Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache.

Geocache container found on floor so put in an obvious place for time being so NEEDS IMMEDIATE MAINTENANCE!!
I started climbing the tree when suddenly my mother holds up a container that she found on the ground. We put in a D1 hiding spot for now so you can find it to fix it, as we do not know where it should really be.
My garmin put this on the edge of the leaves so I figure it is up high. Certainly the first 2 branches showed me nothing. Tf5c
With ahomburgs a help, I finally have my name in this one. I have spent quite a lot of time climbing this tree before on prior attempts! Thanks for placing the cache Gonefishen07.
We tried for this cache earlier but it had gone missing, so the CO replaced it later and we were able to log it before attending the night event. There were so many hidey holes but only one correct one, so the cache was soon found.
Thanks for placing this cache Gonefishen07

We found this cache today in company of Pprass, Maccamob and The Swaggies. This would have been a DNF for the day but for the kindness of the CO in placing a replacement cache in between visits. Hard to see how one like this would go missing. Thanks from D B-A.
Today we found The Real 20 Shaft. on our travels. We are visiting for today’s events, we have tried for this one before but we decided we’d have another go. Eureka!
Thanks Gonefishen07 for being part of our geocaching fun.

Lucky hubby loves his work coz he had to do it on holiday to find this trickster! With Nato666 a d Geokid Loki.
Another attempt today revealed nothing. A muggle decided to have a really long look at the information board while we clambered around (I can only imagine how weird we looked to him). We'll return again!
Our third straight DNF! We found a ripper of a spot for a cache while we were looking as well... We'll try again soon!
Another DNF. GPSr had my standing in the open so i searched far and wide and came up with only air
We have driven past here many times and never actually stopped. We were a little slow working out exactly where this cache was, but found out some interesting information about the shaft in the mean time.
Tftc. Ribbstar and Ron.

Took us quite a while as we were looking around the wrong feature. Checked GPS and went off that.. checked some old logs and knew we were on the right path. Geohusband only wishes he knew how easy it was rather than getting half way up and turning back around. Tftc
With the help of a more agile we managed to retrieve and sign before returning it to home. Love the cache. TFTC

Been searched everywhere, so give up.

DNF for us today.
Found by David, in company with NurseHayley and pprass, at 1225. We'd stopped here on our way to Wonthaggi yesterday, but were thwarted by a parked muggle close by. All clear when we passed by today. The cache wasn't where it was supposed to be according to NurseHayley and pprass, who were providing moral support close by. Then D spotted a familiar container on the ground, just like one he'd logged earlier today. Recorded our visit, then replaced it where it was supposed to be. Our thanks to Gonefishen07.
We had a DNF on this one 12 months ago, so we were determined to rectify that today. We spend quite a bit of time searching the wrong area before returning to our previous search location. Once there it didn't take long to bag the tricky little customer this time around. Love the camo, it gets a favourite from us. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
A cache that has eluded us for a while, now with our names in the logbook, as we scoured the site both up and down. Just being able to have someone say 'Found it' puts a smile on your face, although today it was bitterly cold and an almost gale force wind blowing.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for this one, it's been worth the wait

Have looked for this one before with no luck but McSee&Petal, Papillon4506 and I were determined to find it today. Looked for quite some time in the wrong place but eventually trusted the GPS and the cache was found, signed and returned to its hiding place. Thanks for the cache and bringing us here.
After a short search found this little fellow resting on the ground. A call to the co
had him her or whatever back to where he she or whatever had escaped from.
Thanks GF07 FTC.

12 Months to log this one. It was coming home from our annual Easter trip caming at Cape Patterson with my family. We had tried it through Easter but with no joy. After ringing a friend we decided to check it out on our way home. Nice and easy this time when you know where. It gets a favourite from. me. Excellent plant as usual

In the company of Pprass, a little holiday getaway to this beautiful place from port Macquarie NSW.
A quick find great cache, very creative. Log very wet I was just able to sign the log. TFTC gonefishin07:)

Log very wet and falling apart. Unfortunately I didn't have any spare logs to replace it
A great day spent on the road, caching along the way down to Wonthaggi where I spent much of the day before heading back up to Blind Bight. A nice hike along the George Bass Coastal Walk to start the day off and there were some great views along the way. Next I was finding a few 'Williamson' and 'Baxter' caches near the wind farm. No muggles at all about today and I enjoyed the walk out to the beach and under the huge wind turbines, hearing them cut through the air, the sound was amazing. After spending some time in Inverloch I headed back west and stopped for a crack at finding this sneaky cache. I searched high and low, climbed up and then back down, many times, and after a good hour of searching made the PAF call. Even after a hint it still took another 15 minutes before I finally had the little bugger, and I'd been so close several times. It had been extremely well hidden. Thanks Gonefishen07.
We spent a long time looking for this one, and tested a few skills and muscles that haven't seen much use for way too long, and we still came away empty handed. We will be back to try again, you can bet on that, and the mining stuff was really interesting too. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Woo! That was so much fun! I'm not a huge fan of climbing, but YouCanDoIt2 wasn't going to be going up, so I took one for the team today. I don't like heights and places that look like good huntsman territory, but I made it up with no huntsmans and no falls. After checking in every place I thought would be a likely spot I found it - it was difficult for me to reach but I got it. We struggled to extract the log, and it was also quite full and a bit damp. The lid has some holes. But the cache itself is still in good condition. When I got down I was so happy, the adrenaline was pretty high! I honestly didn't think I'd be able to climb the tree so I am quite pleased with myself Thanks for the cache Gonefishen07, a great cache that was a nice little personal challenge A fav point from me.
235: Well that was an exciting little hunt. Sorcha1986 and I set out to get some caches this afternoon. We had not been out caching together for ages and there were a few that I hadn't got that she also wanted to get, so we made a list and set off making this one our first stop, only to find that I had left the list at home when we arrived at GZ. We hunted for quite a while, with Sorcha doing the hard yards, although I made an effort to pitch in where I could. We decided we might have to give up on this when suddenly she said "oh hang on, I think I have spotted it". So after much effort and repositioning she retrieved it, the next trick was to extract the log. Wow, that sure was tricky and the log is slightly wet. The log was signed and replaced (with difficulty) in then Sorcha headed off to replace the cache in its spot. Much swearing, grunting and more swearing later, we were happy to say mission was accomplished.
An amazing hide. This one was a bit of fun. Thank you for the cache.

This one filled in a needed square in our D&T matrix. When we arrived at GZ I was sure I knew what it would be and where to look, turns out I was wrong and geowife pointed me in the right direction to go searching. SL tftc.
Homburger had a plan and he was first on the scene, knew exactly where to go and made the find in two shakes of a lamb's tail.

Out and about today on a big caching run with Jacko83, Dannoz and n0w0rries. We were headed for Wonthaggi, targeting some very specific caches with high difficulty levels as well as any others we happened to come across. The weather was not looking too promising, but we were all hoping the weather that Jacko had ordered for 10am would eventuate
This one was another hoo doo cache for me, I had been here with º and sharkiefan on a previous visit without luck. Today I simply walked right up to it and the find was mine. Gotta be happy with that.

Joined by Danozz, Ahomburg, Noworries and Bentley Parker for a massive day of caching.
Arrived here on dark. AH made the climb and spotted the cache. Man - I would have taken so much longer to spot that sucker - wow! thanks for another very challenging hide.

Last time we were in the area we said we wanted to do this one but ran out of time. Today we finished our other duties a little early so pulled in to have a hunt. We soon realised what needed to be done and once in the right spot soon spotted the camo. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC.
