On day 5 of our annual caching blitz holiday and today we have a mission , to see if we can get our 7000 before the new year. #6973. So glad for this series not only to help us achieve our mission but also to show us around the lake. What a lovely stream, and yes we did take a photo. Tftc

HQ has requested I remove all the geotour references from the cache page as the cache is no longer a formal GeoTour cache. This would seem fair to do however it ultimately creates a different cache so in fairness to those that came a completed the cache while it was a tour cache I am archiving it in its current form.

This was a lovely run today with beautiful countryside and places to stop and explore. It was very much appreciated that each cache in the series was placed where there was a place to pull off the road and park safely. There was very little traffic on the road today.
This cache was found with no problem and we were happy to note our name on the log before we moved on. Thanks to Lake Eildon Geo Tour for adding to our caching experience.

Well today is the last day for finding treasures around this area. We made plans to journey into the unknown and see what we could find in the uncharted reaches of Terra Australus. The area we chose was between Eildon and Jamieson We packed our high energy foods and each had 30 litres of de-hydrated water. Departure time arrived and we set off. Some treasures we found, some we didn't, some we didn't try. We found a lovely orange cache several plastic boxes of all shapes and sizes, a camo bison in a tree. All this motivated us to keep going, we climbed higher and higher sharp bends in one direction were followed by even sharper bends in the opposite direction. After a few hours oxygen masks dropped from the cabin roof. With the aid of these we pressed on. The views were spectacular but, our deadline to return to base camp was drawing nearer. For our last cache we found a letterbox cache and needed to project a way point. Now Mr oz's way point projection skills are only slightly better than his bull fighting skills. He did his best and so it was that the team leader was pearing over the edge of a 60 degree slope as she stepped back her glasses hooked on a tree and landed about 60cm down the slope. The leader as only leaders can stepped onto the slope to reach her glasses. At this point she is kinda stuck Mr oz appears on his white charger, climbs down and offers her his strong manly hand. As he drags her to safety her other hand gets impaled on a tree branch. This causes a miscommunication and mr Oz lets go...so does Mrs Oz. Mrs oz is seen sliding further down the slope till she becomes wedge under a rock. I think she said I love you, but can't be certain as she was yelling loudly and may have even said I was a goose. However we now have one last chance to retrieve the team leader If this fails we are going to need a very long rope. Both parties gain composure, well to a degree they do. Stretch, pull drag, loud noises from both and Mrs oz lands on the road. Mr oz hastily gets the car and we start the trip back to camp.. 2731 so far for us. Thanks for placing this cache Lake Eildon GeoTour, without cachers like you we wouldn't have a hobby.Smile Signed log. took nothing, left nothing

Before I start my usual ramblings, I would like to thank the Committee and all the COs who have helped organise, administer and place caches and hold events so that this weekend is enjoyable and successful. A brilliant job - many thanks.

We had a fabulous day. Started in Bonnie Doon and travelled the Maintongoon Road picking up some caches along the way. Once in Alexandra we shouted ourselves morning tea at one of the bakeries; grabbed some town caches then set up camp before heading out again to the Eildon - Jamieson Road.

The town tour was fantastic. Pa showed me where he had first driven his grandfather's jeep; started school; had his appendix removed; dug tunnels with his grandfather looking for and finding gold and where they used to sell the rabbit skins in the Old Dairy - the site of Mitre 10 now. A real trip down memory lane for him.

What a challenge some of those caches on the Eildon - Jamieson road were. Some found quickly but others needed a much wider search before I could claim a smilie. Loved some hated some but happy with the day's progress towards my 4000th!

Just logging these before heading out to the Welcome Event.

All logs signed. TN but left a PT or two along the way.

Out and about in the area for a few days of laughter and caching fun.
Such a great part of the state, really need to get up here more often. Looks like I'm running out of sunlight, only time for a few more.
Then back into Mansfield to meet some fellow cachers.
Cheers for the cache

Found by The Empire + Snap Happy
Day 2 of the Mansfield getaway, caching around Eildon today. After an afternoon coffee, we decided to check out some of the caches along the Eildon to Jamieson trail. We'd lost some time and valuable daylight on a few DNFs in the latter part of today. Snap said this one was a good one and we ended up stopping for 2 more L.E.G. caches before making a beeline for some pizza. Thanks for the cache, and the series Lake Eildon GeoTour. Looks like the GeoTour (my second ever) is going to be a work in progress.

Apparently I am very difficult to buy presents for so when it came to Christmas time the family had no idea what to get me. The muggle-missus did some inter-web searching and saw the Lake Eildon Geotour and booked me a hotel for a few nights as a gift from Santa.

A quick park and grab with some time taken out to enjoy the scenery and to take some photos. TNLN. TFTC.

It's fun to cache with a friend,
You can hike, ascend and descend;
Homburg, Jacko and Pacman
with Bentley had a gameplan,
To explore Eildon in one great weekend!

We started the LEG in Alexandra yesterday and have been making our way around clockwise.
Still Creek wasn't so still today - the water was flowing well. A delightful shady place for a break along these winding roads.
Thanks to all the COs who placed this series.

The three Amigo's - Pacman, Ahomburg and myself - as well as the trusty GeoMutt Bentley headed North East to tackle some high terrain, clever caches and hard puzzles on a Lake Eildon Tour.

What a magic little park and grab here. The stream running as hard and fast as the photo. A nice way to break up the long, windy drive here!

After caching at the recent Mega with Roostaman an honeysucker plans were made to do a few days caching around the Eildon area, with the vans set up at Alexandra Show grounds we had three days of touring the area finding some fantastic caches. Thanks Lake Eildon GeoTour for the cache.

with the river still in flood we continued on holidays so more Caching time.

Now we have wandered from Anglesea to Mt Gambier Adelaide and back to Geelong now to Alexander onto Euroa and beyond we have found many other like minded people so the caching adventure grows stronger.
As we came through this area we met up with Roosterman and joined in with the rebel act to do the caches in this area had a great couple of days doing the tour.
Thanks Lake Eildon GeoTour for putting this cache out for us to find

We started on the L.E.G. series and also picked up a few other caches along the way.
Lots of excellent views, some 4wd tracks and not many muggles around.
A hort dash and another top view here as well.
Thanks for the tour and the cache Lake Eildon GeoTour,

Reperio at 1100.

Ever since the emergence of this tour, it's been on my high priority list of caches to do. Being born and bred Victorian, it had been a while since I had been to Eildon, so with the announcement that the tour was officially ending it's geotour status, I made plans to get down here before that occurred. I left Newcastle yesterday and arrived in Merton late that night to start the tour early this morning, and with sticking strictly to the caches on the tour, finished the tour in around 12 hours.

Arriving at this spot, I found that Still Creek wasn't all that still. With plenty of water in the creek, it was flowing beautifully over the rocks, and made for quite a peaceful environment while climbing up to search for the cache across the road. Beautiful spot.

Gratias Lake Eildon GeoTour.

Found with Zobo04, Hearse068, BorisB&Natasha, Bounty Trackers, De Ja Vu, KTCvic and Velocachu . We signed the cache with our Geo Nerds Stamp. The plan was hatched to do this tour before it was finished. Accommodation booked and we were all good to go. Where else would you stay but in Bonnie Doon of cause. Oh The Serenity A Huge thanks to the CO's for all the work that has gone into making and maintaining this little series. We had a fabulous time gallivanting around the area with lots of laughs along the way. This was one of my favorite spots here took lots of photos even if I was feeling like I was going to die from Car sickness. Giving it a fav point TFTC

Knowing the GeoTour was to end soon prompted the geo nerds to plan another fun weekend of caching.
Another good find on this tour with some more stunning scenery to go with it. From the naked rolling hills to the dense pine forests, all so beautiful.
A special thank you to Lake Eildon GeoTour for the cache and all the effort for putting it together.

Gonefishen07 and I were talking about the Lake Eildon Geo Tour coming to an end and we decided to contact all the Geo Nerds to see if we could organise a weekend away to get together and get it done before it ended. Weekend was booked, house was booked and where all going to Bonnie DoonBig Grin
Thanks to all those involved in this fantastic tour around Lake Eildon. All caches signed by the Geo Nerds.
Had to have seating changes at this cache as some of those in the car were starting to feel the effects from all the windy roads.

Who wants to go up to do the Lake Eildon Geo Tour? That was the question asked, all said yeah so the Geo Nerds band got back together for another fun filled few days. Accomodation was booked at Bonnie Doon with name of Serenity, cue the many references from the beloved Castle!

Saturday saw ten of us pack into two Prados full on a fair trek around Lake Eildon, finished by the GIFF event at Acheron and the last two L.E.G Caches due to the roads being closed for Targa Rally on Sunday.

Great drive to this cache, windy, up and down bringing us to this great spot. We took pics of the creek, whilst some went and grabbed the cache. So tranquil.

Thanks for the great series!!

Log was stamped as Geo Nerds consisting of Gonefishen07,Borisb&Natasha, Hearse068, Zobo04, DeJaVu, Velocachu, KTCvic and myself Bounty Trackers.

Gonefishen came up with the plan of doing the Lake Eioldon Geo Tour before it was gone, so we all agreed, Lets get up there and do it.
KTCvic was straight on to booking a place that would sleep 10 people in Bonnie Doon for our 2 night stay.
Gonefishen Borisb&natasha and Hearse068 and myself all meet up in Pakenham so we could cache our way up while DeJaVu and KTCvic where coming up later as they had to work. BorisB&natasha gave the keys to the Prado as she wanted to be a lady of leisure and be chauffeured.
We laughed all the way and just had a fantastic weekend away with great friends, cant wait until the next adventure.
signed log thanks for the cache.

Our fourth cache for day 2 on tour. It certainly wasn't still here today! What a lovely day and great to have an excuse to stop and have a proper look. Seems the Targa rally is on next week and it seems the drivers were practising today as we had a few close shaves with drivers coming the other way after this cache using more than just their own lane but we survived to tell the tale (some exaggeration may have just occurred.. but there was definitely lots of rally drivers out for a practise today). Liked the different container style used for this one. Thanks again for taking us to places we wouldn't have got to otherwise.

This is a lovely location. Covert's driving was putting my puke meter into amber but we got to the parking spot in time and I felt better after a little explore.

26-Oct-16
After Biggles of Oz and Mrs Biggles departed we headed out to do some of the L.E.G. caches. We proceeded out along the Jamieson-Eildon Road to last one, L.E.G. 5 - Still Creek, without going all the way to Eildon. The creek certainly wasn't still today, it was flowing very fast. While we were taking pics of the creek another car rolled up, and it was soon discovered that they were fellow cachers, Team Crackers. After introducing ourselves we headed up to GZ and made a quick easy find. Once the log was signed we took in the view of the creek from above, which was even better. TFTC and bringing us to this great little spot. TNLN. We said our goodbyes and both parties headed on our ways.

We came here to try and finish this Geo Tour while it still was one. Sad
This was our first today after having quite a break away from this series.
We pulled up to find another car here and the occupants taking pictures of the creek.
We did the same and they wondered over and asked if we were into photography and we said we were doing the Geo Tour and with smiles they introduced themselves as Mr and Mrs Pookie.
After a chat we headed off to GZ where the cache was a nice easy find and the log now contains our names.
Still Creek did not live up to its name today as the water was rushing down making a great back drop to cache by.
Thanks for the cache.

As describe in our log on LEG1, JMelb of GJMMelb suffers from car-sickness quite easily and can't even be in the car reversing down our driveway without "feeling" it, so it was with a little bit of encouragement and advice from Geocachers of Victoria FB group we decided we would definitely do this L.E.G series for our Anniversary weekend away. We were loaded up with Ginger Bears, Ginger beers, Lemonade, Ginger cordial and twisties. It was the stretch from Eildon to Jamieson that I was particularly worried about but with several stops along the way to find other caches, plus all the above items I am rapt to say it really wasn't a problem!! So relieved!!
Well if ever there was a misnomer, it's this place lolol ..... There was nothing Still about it, the water was rushing like crazy and it was a gorgeous spot!! It rained on and off whilst we were driving along this road and yes whilst we were here finding the cache and taking lots of photos Smile

Find # 3445 @ 14:03

Found while doing a solo trip around the "LEG" caches.

No real major plans for the trip other than to attempt to find all the Tour Geocaches, maybe find the odd other cache, a spot of sightseeing and to enjoy what this part of Vic has to offer.

***EDIT****
Still Creek. Hay what. This sounded like and looked like huge rapids or something you would see at a water park (no not the kiddy pools). A long way from Still.

A quick trot up the side hill and another great grab. the View over the road from GZ was another interesting view of the surrounds.

Today would be a full day of the Geotour. Hearing that the weather tomorrow might not be as good as the last few days, we decided to get most of them done today but still take it easy.
This was a magic place, if you shut your eyes and forget the road behind, you would think you were in the bush somewhere. We took a video so we can be reminded of the sound of the water flowing over the rocks.
Definitely a fav point here.

What a little beauty of a spot, bit to ON THE ROAD for the kids to help, so once again left them under the watchful eyeball of MrThommo... (thankfully he likes kids) while MrsThommo and I set off to hunt down this cache Smile:)
Bounding through the bush it was an easy find spotted from afar... Thanks for bringing us here and giving us the time to take in the tranquil surrounds Smile

noun con·flu·ence \ˈkän-ˌflü-ən(t)s, kən-ˈ\

: a place where two rivers or streams join to become one
: a situation in which two things come together or happen at the same time.

An absolutely beautiful little spot we wouldn't have stopped at otherwise.
Hunting with ms-enchantress we both said found it at the same time (sighting the cache from a short distance)

White water!!!! Beautiful!!!! Cache in good condition

The story of how I got to do the Geotour. I have 5 weeks of leave. I drove from where I'm living in Darwin down to Adelaide with my two geopups (who are in a kennel for a few days while I tour Vic). I spent a week in SA catching up with family. Then thought I would spend a week catching up with mates from Vic and spend a couple of days completing the Geotour. I am pretty chuffed with the effort today 15 in total after a bit of a confused start this morning. I want to thank all the owners and organisers of this Geotour, it has been great!!! Also Thankyou to the Melbourne catchers (they know who they are) who printed out the Geotour info for me, gave me a bed for the night in Melbourne before commencing the tour and being PAFs and general advice. I spent a fair bit of time in this area chasing rapids in a kayak for about 7 years so this part of vic is very familiar to me. I saw heaps of Rapids today and was rather tempted several times, but I have a mission.

This may be called 'Still Creek', but there was nothing still about this stunning area. Favourite place visited today was right here. Driving through the bush, up and over and down and up, we were so pleased that a cache allowed us to stop here as it would've been easy to drive straight past and not see this wonder otherwise. The waters were roaring, and we spent some time just soaking it all in. Spectacular! thanks for placing (and now replacing) a cache here GeoTourers Smile

Today was a day for me to knock over a few of the Lake Eildon Geotour caches with a few other caches thrown in for good measure. My path took me from Echuca to Alex then around the bottom end and back home via Benalla. All up it was 14 hours on the road.

This cache was showing as missing when I updated GSAK last night but I expected it would be back online by the time I got here. It was great to see such a great sized container.

Thank you, Lake Eildon GeoTour, for this cache.

Cache is missing, presumed Muggled. Very disappointed to spend 4 visits completing the series only to find this has happened here.

No sign of any container, only scattered rocks next to the only stump in the area.

How disappointing to have got to the last one before the final only to find it has been muggled, but we hope a photo will suffice to prove we did visit here and actually spent time looking before reading previous logs. Almost shattered us to have got so close.

Thanks Lake Eildon Geo Tour.

After having spent some wonderfully relaxing time at Wakiti Creek Resort with Sewthat and Honeysucker, muggle partner and I decided to undertake the Lake Eildon GeoTour, accompanied by Brodie. Smile
I'd heard about the GeoTour in detail at a meeting in Nuriootpa about a year ago when I first met Clever Monkey and since the GeoTour sounded so awesome, I'd wanted to do it ever since! [^]
It took us 3 days and we had lots of Ooohhhh Cool moments while enjoying the scenery, a couple of Oh No what have we got ourselves into[?] SurprisedRed Face moments while getting to caches, some Why can't we find the cache[?]Red Face moments thanks to cache thieves Twisted and some amazingly ongoing and supportive communication from CM throughout which was hugely appreciated Cool[^]
Now that muggle partner has experienced some of the beauty in this area, I have much more chance of getting him back here again for an extended stay Wink

Ooh pretty creek, let's take pictures first then find the cache Cool
This cache was where I definitely felt totally convinced that I was the Harbinger of Doom TwistedSad
We arrived and all 3 of us wandered out to GZ.
Having found the other caches quite easily, we were surprised to not find the cache here Surprised[?]
OK, it's raining, overcast, we're in the mountains and the GPSr just might be off...... let's spread out!
We searched for 30m or so all around where I thought GZ would be but to no avail Sad
Why am I the only person who can't find this cache[?]
The reason I am logging a find is because when we finally got phone reception I contacted C M and sent a picture of GZ and was given approval to log this cache as found Cool [^] (Thank you!) because it was definitely missing SadTwisted
Please keep in mind that I currently have no favourite points left Sad otherwise every cache on this GeoTour would receive a FP for the wonderful adventure that this GeoTour provided Cool

##Day 3##

Our last LEG cache for the day on the homeward stretch to Eildon.

I wanted to get out the chairs and just sit and look at the flowing water however it was getting late and I know it would be dark before we got back to town.

Went up and grabbed the cache and then came back and took some pictures of the water.

Then headed back to the hotel.
Nearly made it all the way to Eildon when about 2ks out a kangaroo sprang out from the side of the road.
Luckily i was heading towards an intersection and was only doing about 40ks.
The kangaroo grazed the passenger door but thank fully bounded away much to Mrs Parrots relief,

6 LEG and 2 trads for the day

Well we chose to double back, having missed this one on the way out of Eildon - we were traveling in convoy and I wasn't paying attention to anything other than the road! It took us 20ish minutes to re-travel the road and head back to GZ. We parked up and approached GZ from different sides and soon found what we were looking for. Signing duties completed for both of us, we briefly admired the very pretty creek and set off on the same section of road for the third time that morning! Doubling back lost us 58 minutes of our day - but who's counting? It's beautiful up here!

Day 4 of our Road Trip.

Second of thirteen for today.

The road was so pretty we drove it twice!

After admiring the graffiti on the "Stilly Creek" sign we climbed the hill for the find and drove on after the photos were taken of course.

The drive here took us along a road through some amazing bush vistas. In hindsight, this area here up to and including Jamieson took us into the landscape we liked best on the tour. The creeks are pleasant to watch and to listen to.
Realising where we would find this cache, the two of us approached the area from two different angles, meeting at GZ. To get back to street level, we chose the suss way over the vulture's steep path. Woohoo, another coloured container found, and a smilie to boot! Thank you for the Tour - let's see how many more we can find today.

A quick and easy find as we soon had one more L.E.G. cache in our collection. A very pretty spot with the two creeks becoming one at this point. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.

The finds previous to this one were all really quick but as we approached the destination it become apparent that it might be a needle in a haystack with no internet service on the phone & still being newbie I had yet mastered the GPS. We so didn't want to drive this far through all the bends for a DNF. It's funny, we saw the signs for the motorcycles driving there but whilst we searched and searched, you could hear them miles away and they weren't going slow either. Well, I pushed buttons and somehow, I managed to tell husband look in that area because that's where the arrow is pointing. It is hadn't been for other loggers, I just don't think we would have found it. Trust the needle when it tells you the area that wouldn't be your 1st logical option. Such a rewarding find though because we realised that we could use the fancy gps other than getting co-ordinates accurate of CO Hides. I really nice spot to stop, we pulled out the folded chairs and had some lunch.

Twisting and turning all the way here, we were glad to stop and stretch our legs here. Nearly finished the tour now and looking forward to the final. Worked out all the clues but one but thought we would still have a go to save returning tomorrow.

Just loving this Tour.

2nd find of our geotour, nice place to stop after the many windy roads. Had a drink firm the river, nice and cold , thanks for the cache here, a wonderful spot! Took some photos of the creeks and moved on to the next one in our tour Smile

We were completely thrown off by this one, and the GPS had us looking is some 'not so child-friendly areas'. I decided to head off on some 'alternate business' before finding the cache.

Found with Mel_Adz at 14:19. TftC

So this one almost had us saying let's give up. We both headed towards where the GPS said GZ was, and we wondered that it was pretty dangerous down in this spot. Whilst we were admiring the small waterfall/rapids here, joegleeson_25 decided to head 'upstate' for a few minutes, and then almost stumbled over the cache! TFTC

What a beautiful, scenic, twisty, foggy, wildlife filled, epic road trip from Eildon to Jamieston. we were glad to stop for a break at this cache. Lots of stumps and rocks and blackberries! Finally managed to follow the little pink GPS line to the right spot. TFTC.

Out for the day with Bonny Black to find as many L.E.G tour caches we can. The geocruiser not only had to cope with the winding road but also all species of wildlife. Love an ammo can. [^]

Riding shotgun with Faulksi, our aim was to bag L.E.G.5 to 16 ignoring the myriad of other caches on the way and to complete the L.E.G.20 puzzle. Thank you LEG team, good work.
It was a miserable start to the day with rain trying to put a dampener on our enthusiasm. The sights of a couple of early morning lyrebirds and a few stray deer kept our spirits up until we reached this, our first cache for the day.

We found your cache L.E.G. 5 - Still Creek on 3/04/2015 3:12 pm. This is our find #4194 and find #21 today.

We were unable to attend the Qld Mega this weekend so we are hitting the L.E.G and anything inbetween caches instead. Ideal caching weather.
Took us awhile. I guess GPS lock wasn't great and we where on the wrong level.
The cache is in good shape.
Thanks Lake Eildon GeoTour for the cache!

Easter weekend caching with holdfast, lolsmile17 and creeper. Our aim was to complete the LEG. We didn't make it, but we had a great weekend camping, driving, caching and fishing. We got the codeword, made some swaps and got on our way. TFTC.
This was our first cache of the weekend. Weather was great. We enjoyed the drive and the location.

*edit 11/5/15: I forgot to add that I dropped a TB in this cache. Its magnetic.

[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there Lake Eildon GeoTour. We found your cache "L.E.G. 5 - Still Creek" at 11:59:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 10437.

This is our first day on the Geo-tour. Please forgive our boilerplate logs, hopefully they won't detract from the great caches we found today.

Our day started before the birds, watching the sun rise through the early morning mist while the bacon and eggs were cooking. We started with jumpers on as it was only eight degrees, but pretty soon we were down to our usual shorts and tee shirts as the day warmed up.

We had fun collecting the code words, and figuring out what to do with the crossword - although we did miss a couple of clues so we will have to retrace our steps at some stage.

We cut our trek short today, because we were looking forward to a BBQ tea back at camp. Tomorrow we will be able to start afresh from where we left off.

Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 5m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards

Pam and I have taken a couple of days to travel around central Victoria, and to undertake the Lake Eildon Geotour. Day 1 has been quite fun, leaving home at 8am and finishing up in a cabin at Bonnie Doon Caravan Park after having completed the first half of the tour.
This cache was the 5th of 12 for the day.
Once the geotrail was located, things became much easier, and the cache was soon found.
In excellent condition, just like all the others.
Thanks for placing this cache Lake Eildon GeoTour

After a weekend up at Buller, I had the Monday to complete the GeoTour. I had found a half dozen three days earlier. My job today was to continue to travel clockwise and get the caches in reverse sequence. It turned out to be 12 hours on the road, and then I still had to get myself back to Hawthorn.

It was now mid-afternoon. I still had a long way to go, including a few caches on the other side of Eildon. I had no inkling that the road would be so long and twisty and hilly. I was chewing through fuel and I was starting to panic that I might not make it all the way.

Unfortunately, the rising anxiety was making it difficult for me to enjoy the caches on their merits.

This cache is beautifully placed with guarding ants all around. The nearby creek was flowing freely. It was a delightful scene. I really wanted to stay here longer, but I had to move on.

Today we continued this series as we were based in Eilden for the day. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring this area and the locations the caches took us to. Looking forward to completing the series and the challanges associated with this series.

We appreciate the time and effort gone into placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.

Find #424. As we arrived at the parking area for this cache my breath was taken away at the beauty of the creek. It was anything but still and looked so refreshing and cool. After admiring the view for a bit we proceeded to get the gps out, due to having no phone reception (hence the end of me sending logs as I found the corresponding geocaches!) we headed to GZ thinking hmm not sure if I'd have selected the terrain rating chosen for this one. We got to GZ and found the cache and added our names to the log as another car pulled up. Quick put it back! The other cachers headed towards us while we were still trying to cover the cache. We said hello and introduced ourselves and learnt that this terrain was appropriate for the cache owners! We had a quick chat and learnt our new caching acquaintances skullracing, geoprincess and coruze were doing the tour backwards but that it hadn't been as smooth as doing it forwards! We said goodbye and proceeded to the next cache! Thanks for the cache!

We were doing the tour a little A-about but that seems to suit our way of doing things....particularly with caching Razz. As we arrived at the obvious parking for this cache there was another vehicle there which meant either, they were fishing OR they were off looking for Tupperware in the woods Wink. Indeed it was the latter as we soon saw a couple of ladies on the high side of the bank. They tried to have the cache container returned by the time we arrived at GZ and they did but the SPOR gave it away Razz. It was very nice to see M&G Clan and StreetTeam1 who were doing the tour perhaps as intended so it was at this cache that we crossed paths and continued on in opposite directions. We were quite envious that they had an additional day cruising around this wonderful area whilst we were trying to complete the series today......we had simply run out of time to do it any other weekend as our dance card is fully booked till March. GZ offered a great vantage point over the river, which was so peaceful. Our thanks to Lake Eildon GeoTour for bringing us to another great location and for the huge ammo can - if anyone has some larger trackables, this is a great container for them. Cheers [^]

Driving towards GZ ready to park we noticed a vehicle parked on the side of the road. Surprised
Hmmm that's an old spot for a muggle to be?! In true caching fashion we parked the car on the wrong side of the road facing the other car. [:o(]
We looked up towards GZ...yep caught!! Cacher's in action!! Big Grin
We noticed a few quick glances but we continued on our way.
As we were approaching we heard the "Quick, there coming" and also that distinct noise of ammo on rock! Haha, we knew what they were doing and it gave us a little chuckle! Nice to meet cacher's on route, nice to meet you M&G Clan and StreetTeam1! [^]
We had a little chat and as our acquaintances took off, we completed our duties and were back on the road for our next stop on the tour. Thanks for the fun!

On this one, we ran into some cachers. Two teams in fact, called Ma G Clan and Street G One. Sorry if I spelt that wrong.
When we got there, we saw a car sitting on the side of the road, but no-one to look at the scenic river on the opposite side to the cache. We soon saw some tops standing out in the green bush and stopped for a chat.
Apparently, they were doing it the right way by going from 1 to 19 then 20. Must be a Skullracing thing.

Didn't really anticipate how long this drive would be but we made to the closet petrol station and had a called drink at The Courthouse. We mate fellow geo cachers (the only ones being the second last weekend I thought I would of scene more) they were from Albury skull racing, geo princes and coruoze, very friendly they we going the way we came. No reception from this point onwards but lucky we had GPS and saved the caches to of line use. TFTC with streetteam1

#1426 Perhaps the prettiest natural spot along the entire tour, plenty of water running in the nearby creeks and plenty of greenery despite being mid summer, noice! A quick scramble up to gz and the cache was located and signed. Will be looking forward to getting away from the windy roads (especially with Mrs BGF driving Big Grin ) TFTC L.E.G.
