HQ has requested I remove all the geotour references from the cache page as the cache is no longer a formal GeoTour cache. This would seem fair to do however it ultimately creates a different cache so in fairness to those that came a completed the cache while it was a tour cache I am archiving it in its current form.

Had solved this yesterday while with Snap Happy and woggle68 for days caching in the area but didn't come this way to find it. Today decided to come out this way and make the find. Loved the scenery and drive out around this area.
Thanks Lake Eildon GeoTour for placing the cache for us to find.

Made the find whilst House Sitting in Mansfield. Cool An overcast day with a few scattered showers but we managed a nice straight forward find here. What a beautiful part of Australia. We really are so fortunate. Cool

While Dan was working for the weekend I got bored and decided to go for a big drive. I did not do these in the correct order and that was a big mistake!
I loved finding these caches!

Apparently I am very difficult to buy presents for so when it came to Christmas time the family had no idea what to get me. The muggle-missus did some inter-web searching and saw the Lake Eildon Geotour and booked me a hotel for a few nights as a gift from Santa.

I soon had the information I needed at the first WP. After that it was an interesting drive to the GZ and a quick find. TNLN. TFTC.

I'm doing this part of the tour backwards due to various reasons
I have back tracked a couple of times now but that is all part of doing this great tour even though it has finished
Thanks for bringing me to places I have never been to and revisiting some that I have
The caches have all been interesting to find but have not been a problem

It's fun to cache with a friend,
You can hike, ascend and descend;
Homburg, Jacko and Pacman
with Bentley had a gameplan,
To explore Eildon in one great weekend!

We started the LEG in Alexandra yesterday and have been making our way around clockwise.
With GZ calculated it was off to a spot we were now familiar with, after overnighting in the area. A great location I cannot wait to revisit!
Thanks to all the COs who placed this series.

The three Amigo's - Pacman, Ahomburg and myself - as well as the trusty GeoMutt Bentley headed North East to tackle some high terrain, clever caches and hard puzzles on a Lake Eildon Tour.

After doing our first LEG cache we realized that the attribute had been removed - only days ago!!!! SadSadSad

Still worthwhile fun doing these.

We actually camped about 100m from here. Then after a whole morning 4WDving, we did a loop to come back and get this cache, did the multi and ...hang on a second...we were just bloody here! lol Nice spot to highlight either way. Cheers

After caching at the recent Mega with Roostaman an honeysucker plans were made to do a few days caching around the Eildon area, with the vans set up at Alexandra Show grounds we had three days of touring the area finding some fantastic caches. Thanks Lake Eildon GeoTour for the cache.

with the river still in flood we continued on holidays so more Caching time.

Now we have wandered from Anglesea to Mt Gambier Adelaide and back to Geelong now to Alexander onto Euroa and beyond we have found many other like minded people so the caching adventure grows stronger.
As we came through this area we met up with Roosterman and joined in with the rebel act to do the caches in this area had a great couple of days doing the tour.
Thanks Lake Eildon GeoTour for putting this cache out for us to find

**# 15489** Found on a perfect summer day with Rebel Acts and honeysucker. Wink
We started on the L.E.G. series and also picked up a few other caches along the way.
Lots of excellent views, some 4wd tracks and not many muggles around.
A quick find a GZ on this one. Wink
Thanks for the tour and the cache Lake Eildon GeoTour,

As my wife had gone away for a few days, I figured it was a good time to do some caching and bonding with Crusty K9. We loved the simplicity of this multi, but we did not love the dust we ate from cars rushing along the dirt road. tftc.

Reperio at 0800.

Ever since the emergence of this tour, it's been on my high priority list of caches to do. Being born and bred Victorian, it had been a while since I had been to Eildon, so with the announcement that the tour was officially ending it's geotour status, I made plans to get down here before that occurred. I left Newcastle yesterday and arrived in Merton late that night to start the tour early this morning, and with sticking strictly to the caches on the tour, finished the tour in around 12 hours.

As I pulled into WP1, I was surprised not to see anyone out and about, considering how beautiful the scenery is along here. The numbers were gathered, and it was off to GZ where the cache was quickly located in another beautiful scenic spot.

Gratias Lake Eildon GeoTour.

This was another very nice cache along the GeoTour. I loved the scenery at both the posted coordinates and the final. I also got to see a parrot in the wild. Thanks for the hunt!

Found with Zobo04, Hearse068, BorisB&Natasha, Bounty Trackers, De Ja Vu, KTCvic and Velocachu . We signed the cache with our Geo Nerds Stamp. The plan was hatched to do this tour before it was finished. Accommodation booked and we were all good to go. Where else would you stay but in Bonnie Doon of cause. Oh The Serenity A Huge thanks to the CO's for all the work that has gone into making and maintaining this little series. We had a fabulous time gallivanting around the area with lots of laughs along the way. Far out Velocachu is fast today. Another nice size cache. TFTC

Knowing the GeoTour was to end soon prompted the geo nerds to plan another fun weekend of caching.
Another good find on this tour with some more stunning scenery to go with it. From the naked rolling hills to the dense pine forests, all so beautiful.
A special thank you to Lake Eildon GeoTour for the cache and all the effort for putting it together.

Gonefishen07 and I were talking about the Lake Eildon Geo Tour coming to an end and we decided to contact all the Geo Nerds to see if we could organise a weekend away to get together and get it done before it ended. Weekend was booked, house was booked and where all going to Bonnie DoonBig Grin
Thanks to all those involved in this fantastic tour around Lake Eildon. All caches signed by the Geo Nerds.
We were heading to a different cache but lost sight of the others and having trouble with phone reception we headed to this one from my memory of doing the other multi that is here. Finally having contact with the rest of the crew they meet up with us and we got what we needed to head to GZ. In the end it turned out to be a good thing we did this one first.

Who wants to go up to do the Lake Eildon Geo Tour? That was the question asked, all said yeah so the Geo Nerds band got back together for another fun filled few days. Accomodation was booked at Bonnie Doon with name of Serenity, cue the many references from the beloved Castle!

Saturday saw ten of us pack into two Prados full on a fair trek around Lake Eildon, finished by the GIFF event at Acheron and the last two L.E.G Caches due to the roads being closed for Targa Rally on Sunday.

We grabbed the coords needed then headed towards GZ, admiring the views. Back on the dirt we wound our way before making the find.

Thanks for the great series!!

Log was stamped as Geo Nerds consisting of Gonefishen07,Borisb&Natasha, Hearse068, Zobo04, DeJaVu, Velocachu, KTCvic and myself Bounty Trackers.

Gonefishen came up with the plan of doing the Lake Eioldon Geo Tour before it was gone, so we all agreed, Lets get up there and do it.
KTCvic was straight on to booking a place that would sleep 10 people in Bonnie Doon for our 2 night stay.
Gonefishen Borisb&natasha and Hearse068 and myself all meet up in Pakenham so we could cache our way up while DeJaVu and KTCvic where coming up later as they had to work. BorisB&natasha gave the keys to the Prado as she wanted to be a lady of leisure and be chauffeured.
We laughed all the way and just had a fantastic weekend away with great friends, cant wait until the next adventure.
signed log thanks for the cache.

This cache I will never forget as I got more than just a log book and a cache here.
Thanks Borisb&natasha you made my weekend but a little upset with Gonefishen and Hearse for not coming through with the goods, that's all I will say.

This was the first cache of Day 3 of the tour for us. In total, including this cache we have four caches to get done today to complete the tour. Will we get them done....? That is the question. And so is Seven across in the crossword - the only one we have had trouble with.. We also have to be back in Melbourne round 5pm so that the kids can go trick or treating.. Funny it was never a thing to do when I was a kid. But I am a child of the seventies! Goughs Bay -- what a lovely spot. Really liked it. And really enjoyed the novel way the coordinates for the final were provided. It's the first time we have done one like this. We really liked the tag. We might have to try one like that down here in Melbourne. The drive to the final was fun. We didn't realize how many camp sites there are round Eildon. The place was like a mini city. It was also 4x4 central! And can you believe it.. breath tested by the police on a dirt track.. First time for everything.. Even explained what we were doing to the Police. She got it straight away and said " Have fun on your adventures". I call geocaching "mini adventures" but to be honest often they are great adventures, not mini adventures. A few minutes later, we rounded a bend to see a ford ute bent and busted against the side of the road. And someone waiting for a tow out with his mate - everyone looked fine, but the ute, not so much. I wonder if he needed a breath test!! We loved this drive and we will have to owe Team LEG a favourite for this one - we only have one at the moment and of course we need this for the final! So please accept this IOU for a favourite and we will get it to you as as soon as we can .. I feel the need for a powertrail!

Another nice place to stop and admire the view. Lots of photos being taken today - another of the joys of geocaching

Goughs Bay - a place of myth in my mind as BernieH stalks the nearby hills. I must say how delightful it looked with the lake at 77% full. I think I'll attach a photo.

We came here to try and finish this Geo Tour while it still was one. Sad

We pulled up at WPT1 and couldn't believe that an area like this would be empty with such great views of the lake and good facilities. We were lucky here to come in from the right angle and spotted the required information before we even got close. After taking a couple of photos we punched the co-ords in and headed off to gz where the cache was a nice easy find in an area that we have camped in over 40 years ago.
It certainly has all changed now.
Many thanks once again for the cache.

We spent the night at my brother's holiday house which has amazing views!! In the morning he took us to Picnic Point where we got the co-ords for the LEG GB cache. The views are gorgeous from there. Then he took us the boat club to show us around. He is also friends with the local caravan park owners and they were having a bbq breakfast but we were a bit worried about time so we headed off. We went back to Picnic point to do the other multi then set off for the GZ co-ords for this cache .... Ohhhhhhhhhh that's why there is an order lol!! Oh well I was happy to be visiting there again. We parked and headed off to GZ when a magpie swooped at me twice Once past that tree all was good. Again gorgeous views! Photos taken with GMelb's phone asmine is almost flat - can you believe that we left the phone wall chargers at home plus the car charger was in the other car!!! How unorganised could one be?? So we boosted Eildons economy on Sat and bought a car charger however my phone was still flat by Sun morning juggling charging 2 phones and the car GPS out of one dock on Saturday and my brother has an iPhone and we have android! Once we got to Mansfield later today we had got to the point where we decided we needed to buy a wall charger to charge the phones in the evening as the car charger just wasnt giving enough charge given how many photos I like to take lol Ah well boosting the local economies is part of this tour!! Up at Mansfield for a few days and decided to do some of the L.E.G. caches. This was the third cache on the list for the day and a great little spot. All the times we have been coming to Mansfield and we had never been to Goughs Bay. After we had gathered all the information here we headed of to complete the second part of the cache all the time hoping we had the right co ordinates. Yes, we did find it on the way to our next cache. It was however a quick visit as the heavens opened just as we got our of the 4WD. TFTC and bringing us to this spot. TNLN.

Find # 3432 @ 09:53

Found while doing a solo trip around the "LEG" caches.

No real major plans for the trip other than to attempt to find all the Tour Geocaches, maybe find the odd other cache, a spot of sightseeing and to enjoy what this part of Vic has to offer.

***EDIT****
I had been talking to other who had already completed this Tour and with there info I took a detour to get the numbers for #9 before heading up to #10
So thankfull for this info as it meant only a short detour and not a big back track.

At GZ I was checked out by a couple of "Boys in Blue" on Orange Bikes.
Yep the "Robbie Maddison's" were out and about, after a brief chat I was soon free to go and hunt down other smileys.

This was a pleasant place to stop. Very quiet here today, lovely sunshine and all that mushy stuff. I think there were more houses here than in Eildon! We soon found the required info and headed off to get the final. Well i have to say that the road in was great until the logging turnoff and then it went downhill fast. The potholes were large and plenty of them, all hidden in the shadows so you dont see them until you hit them. The poor old car has so many rattles now, I might have to take a fav point away because of the road. Fav point -1. Lol.

We grabbed the info from the first waypoint last night and made the find this morning on the way back from L.E.G. 10. Love how easy a multi can be when the coordinates are right there for you. NO second guessing yourself - although I did check and recheck that I hadn't written the coordinates own incorrectly. TFTC

What a day.. So many beautiful places to visit.. It was a beautiful drive out to wp1.. Passing a few Army type trucks had Mr4 jumping for joy.. The park was a great place to stretch the legs and let the kids run off some of the energy they had built up while sitting in the car for most of the day.. A much welcomed break!

Thanks for bringing us out here Smile

I have been hearing about Gough's bay from a family friend for years, today was my first time here, I can see what is so special about it too! Ms and I did the heavy lifting while Geo dad and the Geo children had a play on the play equipment. We passed a lot of Army trucks and machinery while heading out to this one, it was nice drive out to GZ, lots of people free camping and fishing, enjoying this beautiful part of the world. Geo son made the find.

This was a nice simple multi nothing to challenging but magnificent scenery. Loving this tour!!!

The story of how I got to do the Geotour. I have 5 weeks of leave. I drove from where I'm living in Darwin down to Adelaide with my two geopups (who are in a kennel for a few days while I tour Vic). I spent a week in SA catching up with family. Then thought I would spend a week catching up with mates from Vic and spend a couple of days completing the Geotour. I am pretty chuffed with the effort today 15 in total after a bit of a confused start this morning. I want to thank all the owners and organisers of this Geotour, it has been great!!! Also Thankyou to the Melbourne catchers (they know who they are) who printed out the Geotour info for me, gave me a bed for the night in Melbourne before commencing the tour and being PAFs and general advice. I spent a fair bit of time in this area chasing rapids in a kayak for about 7 years so this part of vic is very familiar to me. I saw heaps of Rapids today and was rather tempted several times, but I have a mission.

Now THIS is my kind of multi haha! No second guessing, just 'go here'. Nice! Coordinates found, view and pretty township admired, petrol topped up, and off to find the geocache - along the same road we'd just been down! It really pays to read the cache notes of all the caches on the tour ahead of time, not just the one you're looking for. Nevermind; we now knew this area well and luckily its serene. Cache found - love love love these blue ammos! TFTC Smile

With bad weather on Mt Buller we opted for a day of caching. After finding the tag we set off. Unfortunately we had no phone service so the coordinates wouldn’t show on the map. Leaving the park we opted for left or right turn. I decided left, not expecting to go too far. But there was a sign for a lookout up the dirt road. So we ventured off after a km or 2 we passed the lookout and the road still kept going, for a km or so, but then it started o run downhill to the lake and we were still miles away. There was a 4WD track going in the right direction but not knowing where we were going , back we went, stopping at the lookout for a DNF. But I did get reception which showed on the map where to go, so off went the other way and a nice quick easy find

After having spent some wonderfully relaxing time at Wakiti Creek Resort with Sewthat and Honeysucker, muggle partner and I decided to undertake the Lake Eildon GeoTour, accompanied by Brodie. Smile
I'd heard about the GeoTour in detail at a meeting in Nuriootpa about a year ago when I first met Clever Monkey and since the GeoTour sounded so awesome, I'd wanted to do it ever since! [^]
It took us 3 days and we had lots of Ooohhhh Cool moments while enjoying the scenery, a couple of Oh No what have we got ourselves into[?] SurprisedRed Face moments while getting to caches, some Why can't we find the cache[?]Red Face moments thanks to cache thieves Twisted and some amazingly ongoing and supportive communication from CM throughout which was hugely appreciated Cool[^]
Now that muggle partner has experienced some of the beauty in this area, I have much more chance of getting him back here again for an extended stay Wink

Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.
Another great spot and if only it had been tea time, we'd have used the barbie to cook our steaks we'd bought in Thornton yesterday., so that we could have enjoyed the view for longer Cool
A quick find of the needed information and then back on the road to find the cacheSmile
Please keep in mind that I currently have no favourite points left Sad otherwise every cache on this GeoTour would receive a FP for the wonderful adventure that this GeoTour provided Cool

We had planned to have lunch here however unfortunately the BBQs did not work. We didn't know that when we first pulled up - Mr Canary and I went to the posted coords to see what we could find. I soon spotted the required info and we saw that the GZ was some distance away, yet in the direction of cache #10, so we struck a deal with Mrs Canary and the two junior Canaries that we would go find the caches while they cooked lunch. Best made plans and all that - as we were taking off the discovery about the BBQs had been made and delayed to us. Never fear - canaries are well prepared and a gas cooker and frying pan were soon unearthed and Mr Canary and I back on our way. It was on the way to GZ, not long off the bitumen that we saw the first echidna of the day - the third I've ever seen in the wild, the second whilst geocaching. They really are a cool little animal! Anyway, the rest of the drive to GZ was uneventful and for us the GZ coords were slightly off however from the right angle its hiding spot was obvious for geocacher eyes. Signed and onto the next!

Day 4 of our Road Trip.

Sixth of thirteen for today.

We arrived at our lunch spot to collect the information for the multi and admire the views. But the BBQs didn't work! Luckily I had the camp cooking equipment in the car still!?!

While my wife and boys cooked Skyebomonkeytown and I went and completed this cache and #10 and lunch was ready when we got back!

It's a long way to Gough's Bay, plus a long way past the disused boat ramps as there is no water in these outer parts of the lake. The local tourist-focused businesses must be doing it tough! Eventually we came to the well-appointed playground and saw a make-shift boat "ramp" (actually, a sandy beach that vehicles can drive on) ahead of us. Dodging a few muggles having lunch in their cars, we soon had the required information sorted and casually walked back toward our Wings.
At GZ, we made a quick find of the container, just had to apologise to a few cockroaches as we were going to disturb them. They did not complain, just waited patiently until we returned the area to how we had found it. Good to be in the right area already to go and seek number 10! Thank you for the guidance.

As we walked up to way point 1, Geoturtle37 had the tag spotted straight away, and we were soon on our way to to gz. We rattled our way along the rather bumpy road to our target and made the quick and easy find. One more ticked off our L.E.G. trail. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.

By the time we had got to the final of this multi ( which was pleasantly easy to find the 1st co-ordinates) geoson number 2 had checked out for the day, so I stayed in the car. Husband and 1st son discovered the find. Entailed the 1st of the selfies that they would take together for the trip. It's been so nice to watch my husband swing over from half muggle, to now a geocacher. I have to agree, this road took a very long time to come in and out of due to not having a 4WD. It's not that its steep, it's more rough and pot holes. But a great placement, which broke up the drive to Delatite.

04-Jan-16
This first way point was at a beautiful spot and it was the first type of multi like this that we have come across - gives me some future ideas of some multi type caches of my own... Hmmm... However GZ for this one as well as L.E.G. 10 was really hard for us to get to in out little Honda Jazz - these roads are meant for solid 4WD. We did do the drive all the way out to L.E.G. 10 but it took us an hour to drive each way other than the suggested 30 minutes in and out. The roads are very very bumpy and lots of loose gravel - but like I said a 4WD would have did this no problem. Small cars however - not the greatest of driving tool. We were glad to be off those roads - but the positive is that GZ for 10 was in a gorgeous spot. Beautiful spot for camping! Oh and be prepare to put your car though a car wash a few times - haha Smile

This was such a pretty area. We would never have come here without this tour.
Did what we had to and then relaxed with a coffee while the geo kids ran around for a while. The littlest member managed to stand on an ants' nest and get bitten. After he settled down with some more food, off we went in search of the final.
His leg stopped stinging but he ended up with a very red patch where the bite was. He was brave. All good.

After a BBQ breakfast with a beautiful view and being watched by 3 king parrots, the WP was found and cache located. 2nd day of following the L.E.G. Thanks to the Team for a great job.

Doing our backwards Geotour, we decided to grab number 9 before number 10. Luckily we did because otherwise there would have been a considerable amount of backtracking.

A nice two part multi, which took us to two great locations with different views over the lake. We did have trouble with the crossword clue at WP1, but we worked it out in the end.

Found with Mel_Adz at 10:15. TftC

A pretty cold morning as we headed out to this cache. A nice park and some great views around the lake from WP1. We had some problems trying to find the answer to the crossword, but think we grabbed the right answer. Off then to the GZ and after a short walk the cache was found. TFTC

Out for the day with Bonny Black to find as many L.E.G tour caches we can. This multi took us from a great view to a well hidden cache. Cache in great condition of course because it's an ammo can. [^]

Riding shotgun with Faulksi, our aim was to bag L.E.G.5 to 16 ignoring the myriad of other caches on the way and to complete the L.E.G.20 puzzle. This is # 5 and with 7 to go there wasn't much time to hang around. Drove to the final location with no problems. Thank you LEG team, good work.

We found your cache L.E.G. 9 - Goughs Bay on 4/04/2015 10:43 am. This is our find #4204 and find #4 today.

We were unable to attend the Qld Mega this weekend so we are hitting the L.E.G and anything inbetween caches instead. Ideal caching weather.
Took awhile to zero in on WP1 but with that in hand we were off to GZ. Luckily I remembered to do these caches in order so we wouldn't have to go down the very dusty road twice!
Azz had to be super stealthy, careful not to get jumped, as a group of doof doof campers were nearby.
The cache is in good shape.
Thanks Lake Eildon GeoTour for the cache!

[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there Lake Eildon GeoTour. We found your cache "L.E.G. 9 - Goughs Bay" at 10:22:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 10445.

This is our second day on the Geo-tour, so please forgive our boilerplate logs, hopefully they won't detract from the great caches we found today.

Once again our day started before the birds. We watched the the sun rise through the early morning mist and the smoke from the reduction burns that were carried out while we were out yesterday.

Today was one of find and re-trace as we didn't always get the numbers correct on a multi or maybe we missed a clue on the crossword.

Again we started out wearing jumpers as the thermometer said it was only eight degrees this morning, but pretty soon we had our jumpers off and were down to our usual shorts and tee shirts as the day warmed up.

Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards

Pam and I have taken a couple of days to travel around central Victoria, and to undertake the Lake Eildon Geotour. Day 1 has been quite fun, leaving home at 8am and finishing up in a cabin at Bonnie Doon Caravan Park after having completed the first half of the tour.
This cache was the 9th of 12 for the day.
It took me a few minutes to find the location tag, but the beauty of these is, no opportunity for stupid arithmetic errors.
We soon found the cache after a short drive, with a happy ending.
Thanks for placing this cache Lake Eildon GeoTour

After a weekend up at Buller, I had the Monday to complete the GeoTour. I had found a half dozen three days earlier. My job today was to continue to travel clockwise and get the caches in reverse sequence. It turned out to be 12 hours on the road, and then I still had to get myself back to Hawthorn.

I arrived at Goughs Bay and made my way to the starting coordinates. A policeman in his Patrol watched me carefully as I swung past him at the General Store.

Now, I had some inside information that it was a good idea to start #9 before driving to #10. It was good advice for someone like me driving in reverse sequence.

After arriving near GZ, I stopped the car awkwardly in the road and made my way over an embankment to the cache.

The same policeman pulled up behind me, got out of his car and approached mine. He didn't know I was on the embankment some distance away, so I called to him. He approached to find me with a large blue box on the ground with contents strewn about.

He said, "Are you looking for those treasure boxes?" Yup, I replied, with a good grin on my face. He showed enthusiastic interest in it, already knew a bit about it, and learned some more. And that was that.

Another quiet day for the constabulary of Goughs Bay.

Today we continued this series as we were based in Eilden for the day. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring this area and the locations the caches took us to. Looking forward to completing the series and the challanges associated with this series.

We appreciate the time and effort gone into placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.

Find #428. With having no phone reception nearly everywhere around this geotour I almost forgot to log this one. Another beautiful location, and we did contemplate cooking dinner before heading on. But it was a little early. Great views here too . Thanks for the cache Smile

On route of the Geo-Tour having a wonderful casual caching day in the company of skullracing We arrived at the starting coords and noticed people sitting where we thought we needed to go. We started devising little plans to throw the muggers off however as it turned out our ideas weren't needed [:o)] We obtained the neccesaary info and we were soon off heading for gz. When we arrived at the cache site we noticed a camper not far away but thankfully far enough to not to interrupt our duties. Left my signature Bee and replaced as found. Thanks for another great cache!

There were a couple of multi's at the starting co-ords that would normally have enticed us to attempt them in conjunction with each other, however it was decided that perhaps we had slipped too much into "leisurely" mode enjoying the sights and sounds of the GeoTour to its fullest. So the obvious option was to continue with our virtual tour guide Big Grin. There were some muggles enjoying the shade & shelter but they were too absorbed with the view to be bothered with our antics. A short search had the numbers in hand for GZ. A short drive later and we found ourselves at GZ, funnily there was a campsite that we didn't take any notice of until we had the cache in hand (that's called focus!), fortunately there was no one visible to us. As with all the others, we were greeted at GZ with a very decent size container in very good condition. Our thanks to Lake Eildon GeoTour for introducing us to another spectacular part of the country, so picturesque! Cheers [^]

Great finishing spot! Well, for this multi. Ran into someone camping at the final coords. Can't really blame them either.
The first coords was quite the impressive spot. The only downside was that I ran into a spider and was suddenly very keen to go.
One other bad side... what is it with nice, cool, refreshing lakes.and rivers today? It is sooooooo hot and I reeeaaally need to cool off.
There are some things that even a nice cool drink of Dr Black (Coke) can't cool down. I NEED A SLUSHYYY!!!!
But enough about the warm weather.
Great cache and another spot that hasn't failed to impress.

#1416 Another lovely little spot along the geotour we enjoyed, Mrs BGF soon spotted the tag to provide us with the final coords. As we approached gz we made our way in the back way to the cache and was able to check out some campsites for future reference - TFTC L.E.G.

We finally had a free weekend to come back over for the weekend and complete the Geotour.
We set up camp at Gough's Bay last night and then wandered down to gather the info for both multis. This morning we headed out the arm along a very rough and dusty road to GZ. Mr Morris was invaded by the tiny wasps who were not happy with his visit - noisy but no bites.

With the publication of the February L.E.G. Event it was a wakeup call to us to come back to this diverse part of Victoria. Our mission today was to complete the Geo Tour and be able to submit all our data prior to the cut-off date.
At the time of the launch in November, we found around half the caches in the tour. The most significant differences we noticed today were the well-worn geo trails leading to most of the caches and the rougher roads; which indicates just how popular and widely known the Geo Tour has become.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day with its snippets of history, stunning scenery and of course cleverly constructed cache hides.

Our thanks to Lake Eildon GeoTour for the hunt.

Day 1 of Poiter.h, MizzJane & 'Scrat's' Lake Eildon GeoTour Adventure.

This was our sixth GeoTour cache stop for the day.

Arrived at the parking area, and walked up towards GZ. I spotted the tag straight away and punched in the new coordinates and off we went. It was after we where about half way to our new destination that we realised we forgot to get the crossword answer. So after doing this cache and 'L.E.G. 10 Delatite' cache we had to head back to Goughs Bay and get the answer. It was all good though we brought an Waffle Ice Cream cone at the local caravan park store.

‘Scrat’ did the Lake Eildon GeoTour whilst on his Great Aussie Adventure.

Made it to Gough's Bay in time to buy some lunch from the local store, then drove around the Boulevard to enjoy the scenery and the caches. Found the co-ords and then worked on the other multi here before heading off to find both caches. We were doing the GeoTour in reverse order and we knew that we would be backtracking because the cache notes told us so. Didn't matter - we were having a lovely time driving around this area. TFTC.

Another stunner of a location, where we picked up the coordinates for GZ. It seems that every man and his dog was out here celebrating Australia Day weekend in style, and with a boat and a 4WD. It's always nice to be by the water and we could have stayed here much longer, but had to make tracks for GZ. Coming away from the point we went in entirely the wrong direction, and because of the dirt road decided to take the long way to find the cache. Our tiny little Holden Barina (Little Red Demon) found vibrations it didn't know it had, and we had to take the road v e r y slowly, or risk certain damage. We got there in the end and the cache was in our hands. TFTC. It was about then we realised that the next cache was even further away, on an even worse gravel road than this one... Oh well, can't quit now!!

Found with Liz & Bruce. We were nearing the end of this day's driving and were pleased to make short work of the elements to this one, and once at GZ the cache was a quick find too.

As part of our visit to Victoria we are delighted to have been able to include the Lake Eildon Geo Tour in our itinerary. We started our travels in Queensland back in December and it was fortunate that while in Myrtleford we heard about this scenic adventure. A phone call later and we had made plans with our friend Alansee to team up for two and a half days to complete this series and other wonderful caches in the localities we visited. Such fun collecting the info we needed, so much to remember at each spot and photos not to be forgotten. The scenery has been awesome and there is no way we would have ever visited these places without the geotour. The tour has been a real highlight of our travels. Fav point alloc. Big GrinBig Grin Thanks to Lake Eildon GeoTour for placing this cache and showing us this beautiful area.
