HQ has requested I remove all the geotour references from the cache page as the cache is no longer a formal GeoTour cache. This would seem fair to do however it ultimately creates a different cache so in fairness to those that came a completed the cache while it was a tour cache I am archiving it in its current form.
With holidays planned to freshen the mind before the Christmas rush, the family decided to camp out in the high country. We had never been in the Howqua region before and loved our time there camping along the river.
With a trip to Jamieson not pre planned, we were glad we decided to go there as we loved the historic location. We worked our way to a few different locations around the town including the ones we needed for this multi. We thought one number we got wrong so auto corrected it but found nothing. It was then I noticed the parking co-ords and realised it was some distance away. After getting ourselves to a closer position and a fair amount of searching around to find the right place, the hide was finally located.
**Thanks to the Lake Eildon GeoTour for hiding this cache for us to find and enjoy**

Had spent a Saturday night in Jamieson with a few friends to celebrate a milestone birthday for one of the team. The four of us took a walk out in the morning to blow out the cobwebs and grab a bit of breakfast. Given the guys are aware of my fondness for finding a cache they asked me if there was one nearby and the stages for this multi were a reasonable way to explore the area too. After calculating all that was needed for GZ I suggested we stop off on our way out of town to look for it. After parking it was a short walk to GZ where the good size cache was spotted and my geocaching reputation maintained! Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for this multi cache Lake Eildon GeoTour. Good to pick up another one of these.

While Dan was working for the weekend I got bored and decided to go for a big drive. I did not do these in the correct order and that was a big mistake!

Apparently I am very difficult to buy presents for so when it came to Christmas time the family had no idea what to get me. The muggle-missus did some inter-web searching and saw the Lake Eildon Geotour and booked me a hotel for a few nights as a gift from Santa.
Three wonderful spots to gather the required information. A quick find at the GZ. TNLN. TFTC.

I only just started this Geo Tour last weekend after finding out about it a bit late
Even though the first 2 caches are now off line this tour is still bringing me to places I knew about but have never visited
Jamieson is such a lovely place and the 3 locations I visited I probably would not have seen except for this tour

After caching at the recent Mega with Roostaman an honeysucker plans were made to do a few days caching around the Eildon area, with the vans set up at Alexandra Show grounds we had three days of touring the area finding some fantastic caches. Thanks Lake Eildon GeoTour for the cache.
with the river still in flood we continued on holidays so more Caching time.
Now we have wandered from Anglesea to Mt Gambier Adelaide and back to Geelong now to Alexander onto Euroa and beyond we have found many other like minded people so the caching adventure grows stronger.
As we came through this area we met up with Roosterman and joined in with the rebel act to do the caches in this area had a great couple of days doing the tour.
Thanks Lake Eildon GeoTour for putting this cache out for us to find

We started on the L.E.G. series and also picked up a few other caches along the way.
Lots of excellent views, some 4wd tracks and not many muggles around.
A good picnic spot here too.
Thanks for the tour and the cache Lake Eildon GeoTour,

As my wife had gone away for a few days, I figured it was a good time to do some caching and bonding with Crusty K9. This is the most enjoyable multi cache we have ever done. No ambiguous clues, and we saw some interesting sights. tftc.
Reperio at 1000.
Ever since the emergence of this tour, it's been on my high priority list of caches to do. Being born and bred Victorian, it had been a while since I had been to Eildon, so with the announcement that the tour was officially ending it's geotour status, I made plans to get down here before that occurred. I left Newcastle yesterday and arrived in Merton late that night to start the tour early this morning, and with sticking strictly to the caches on the tour, finished the tour in around 12 hours.
Well having been already spoiled earlier in the day with some fantastic views, the township of Jamieson was equally as beautiful in it's own right. The huts were great to look at, and the picnic spot I could sit at all day and relax, Once the numbers were gathered, it took me back the way I had come to a spot I wasn't at all expecting, but a nice little stroll ensued, and the cache found. A very nice multi showcasing the area.
Gratias Lake Eildon GeoTour.

This was another extremely enjoyable cache on the GeoTour. I really enjoyed the cute town of Jamieson, even though they misspelled my son's name . Thanks for the hunt!

Found with the rest of the Geo Nerds. We had a great fun weekend traveling around the area guided by caches. Thanks heaps to all the CO's that put this great series together. We had a blast. TFTC
Found with Zobo04, Hearse068, BorisB&Natasha, Bounty Trackers, De Ja Vu, KTCvic and Velocachu . We signed the cache with our Geo Nerds Stamp. The plan was hatched to do this tour before it was finished. Accommodation booked and we were all good to go. Where else would you stay but in Bonnie Doon of cause. Oh The Serenity A Huge thanks to the CO's for all the work that has gone into making and maintaining this little series. We had a fabulous time gallivanting around the area with lots of laughs along the way. Another great spot enjoyed the tour even if I was feeling car sick . TFTC
Knowing the GeoTour was to end soon prompted the geo nerds to plan another fun weekend of caching.
Another good find on this tour with some more stunning scenery to go with it. From the naked rolling hills to the dense pine forests, all so beautiful.
Loved all the history that went with this one.
A special thank you to Lake Eildon GeoTour for the cache and all the effort for putting it together.

Gonefishen07 and I were talking about the Lake Eildon Geo Tour coming to an end and we decided to contact all the Geo Nerds to see if we could organise a weekend away to get together and get it done before it ended. Weekend was booked, house was booked and where all going to Bonnie Doon
Thanks to all those involved in this fantastic tour around Lake Eildon. All caches signed by the Geo Nerds.
Some great history here. We decided while collecting all the information we needed to find GZ that this was a great place to stop for some lunch by the river.

Who wants to go up to do the Lake Eildon Geo Tour? That was the question asked, all said yeah so the Geo Nerds band got back together for another fun filled few days. Accomodation was booked at Bonnie Doon with name of Serenity, cue the many references from the beloved Castle!
Saturday saw ten of us pack into two Prados full on a fair trek around Lake Eildon, finished by the GIFF event at Acheron and the last two L.E.G Caches due to the roads being closed for Targa Rally on Sunday.
We arrived in Jamieson and went to work gathering the clues needed. We stopped at the Rotunda and had a great picnic, enjoying the serenity and sun with the river flowing by. After lunch we made our way to GZ, enjoying the walk and find by Campbell before venturing on.
Thanks for the great series!!

Log was stamped as Geo Nerds consisting of Gonefishen07,Borisb&Natasha, Hearse068, Zobo04, DeJaVu, Velocachu, KTCvic and myself Bounty Trackers.
Gonefishen came up with the plan of doing the Lake Eioldon Geo Tour before it was gone, so we all agreed, Lets get up there and do it.
KTCvic was straight on to booking a place that would sleep 10 people in Bonnie Doon for our 2 night stay.
Gonefishen Borisb&natasha and Hearse068 and myself all meet up in Pakenham so we could cache our way up while DeJaVu and KTCvic where coming up later as they had to work. BorisB&natasha gave the keys to the Prado as she wanted to be a lady of leisure and be chauffeured.
We laughed all the way and just had a fantastic weekend away with great friends, cant wait until the next adventure.
signed log thanks for the cache.

Wow, a bit late on logging here but hey. Had a great time finishing the geotour. Thanks for it all.
So we didn't quite read all the clues correctly and had to do a second lap to find all the required information. But once we had, the maths all worked out and our coords were spot on.
This was the second cache we attempted on day two of our geotour. This was our first ever visit to this beautiful town. Loved the river year at the end of the main street and all the exotic trees planted around the town. Thanks so much for bringing us here..I don't think we would of ever made it here without this tour. We got our only real rain for the day whilst collecting the data for the multi so took shelter in a Cafe. While Mrs Plow worked out the coords for the final the rest of us refuelled. We were unsure how to interpret then poles and the posts at Judd's hut, but somehow we must have got it right as Mrs Plow came up with a plausible location. We back tracked towards Merrijig from where we came (the downside of doing the caches out of order) and managed to make the find. We were very happy as if we had this wrong the rest of the day could have been easily burnt trying other possibilities. This one gets a fave from us for bringing us to some great places. Thanks again team Lake Eildon Geotours from Team Plowfive!
I remember a couple of holidays to Jamieson as a kid. Still seems pretty quiet around here.
After visiting the three locations late yesterday, and all great spots to see in this quaint town, we gathered the information required and headed to the final location but the GPS was taking us on to private property. After a few U turns and not finding anything/anywhere suitable we headed back to our accommodation. After confirming all our answers were correct, it was discovered Mrs Pooky had made a mathematical error and hence we came up with a new set of final co ordinates. We sent a message to the owner to confirm these new co ordinates before heading out again this morning. After a walk along a muddy water logged track we finally made it to GZ. Once the GPS settled down we made a relatively quick easy find. TFTC which took us to three locations that we would probably otherwise would not have visited. TNLN.
We came here to try and finish this Geo Tour while it still was one.
WP1
We pulled up here under the watchful eye of the local police and we have to say if it wasn't for the note on the cache page we may have missed some important information on this one, so thank you for that.
We stopped at WP 2 and between us we came up with different answers so after a bit of a discussion we agreed on the outcome.
WP3 .We were nearly carried away by mozzies so we collected the required information and left with out having a real good look, but it is on the list to return to.
Now off to gz. We pulled up at the recommended car park near gz to find the GPS pointing about 400 metres away into what looked like private property. We checked our calculations and couldn't change anything so we rang a previous finder who confirmed that our co-ords were correct. We decided to double check the GPSr and sure enough there was the problem. Bloody fat fingers!!
Once this was remedied it was only a short walk to add our names to the log.
Thanks again for another in this tour.

As describe in our log on LEG1, JMelb of GJMMelb suffers from car-sickness quite easily and can't even be in the car reversing down our driveway without "feeling" it, so it was with a little bit of encouragement and advice from Geocachers of Victoria FB group we decided we would definitely do this L.E.G series for our Anniversary weekend away. We were loaded up with Ginger Bears, Ginger beers, Lemonade, Ginger cordial and twisties. It was the stretch from Eildon to Jamieson that I was particularly worried about but with several stops along the way to find other caches, plus all the above items I am rapt to say it really wasn't a problem!! So relieved!!
We made it through the Eildon to Jamieson road!! Yey, thanks to everyone for their advice and encouragement!
GMelb was still feeling quite unwell so JMelb was answering the questions solo. I could not for the life of me find the answer to the crossword & my final co-ords seemed to make no sense so PAF'd and we exchanged info on various caches lol Thanks TeamThommo! It turned out I had somehow exchanged a 5 for an 8 ..... once that was sorted, all was good and onto the cache for a nice walk and easy find.
GMelb was starting to feel a little better by the time we got back to the car.

Find # 3439 @ 12:20
Found while doing a solo trip around the "LEG" caches.
No real major plans for the trip other than to attempt to find all the Tour Geocaches, maybe find the odd other cache, a spot of sightseeing and to enjoy what this part of Vic has to offer.
***EDIT****
Well I managed to get all the info quite well, finding the parking spot was a breeze. But walking to GZ i was starting to doubt my numbers. But i pushed on and on and on. soon the GPS was into single figures and a quick glance and Phew there it was staring at me.
After signing the log it started to spit rain so I quickly packed things up and headed for the ute. only to get halfway back and now the heavens decided to open up. Yep i was drenched again, But still loving the adventure and the trail.

Well we made a few mistakes here because we did not read all the questions correctly. So we visited a few locations more than once. Juddys hut looked interested though, we like old miners cottages with a nice verandah out the front. Hmm must be beer time. In the end we had some coords that would put us out where you said we should be which was correct. A fav point for this one for all the old structures that we visited.

Found it with Surefoot24. We looked yesterday and I did the hard work, today after cashing in a PAF option it was a bit easier. Just! TFTC
You have no idea what trials we have been through to find this one. It was only by sheer desperation and giving up the coord since we got near the site and used our Geosense we found it. Hooray! On our second day of trying.
What a beautiful little town. The river was flowing pretty fast today. We had lunch at the picnic grounds before a short walk to the next waypoint and another little bit of history. Enjoyed everything and the coffe and milkshake from the local cafe was pretty good also. TFTC. No trouble in finding the cache/log at GZ after a cool little walk.
Well, our run of luck with multis had obviously ran out by the time we got to this one. GOt all teh information (or so we thought), but when we did teh cacls we had forgotten one, so back to WP2 for us. Of course they are all so close this wasn't a problem.
At GZ geopartner went out to make the find while I stayed in the car with geobub. After about ten minutes he rings, "can I verify the coordinates with you?" They were right. So I checked the calculations - whoops! Minus instead of a plus. So he rang off and went back to hunting. I then checked the other calcs... had to ring him back with another correction (again minus instead of a plus). Whoops! Another ten minutes passed and I rang to see where he was. Completely breathless he asked me the terrain rating - it's a 2. Well it didn't seem that way. Maybe in making him go to the two previous incorrect places he had inadvertently found a difficult route to GZ. Sorry geopartner. This is why multis are not my friend!!!

We camp... We camp alot... We love Walhalla.. Especially in Autumn... In Walhalla is a sign that says 'this way to Jamieson'.. Ive always wanted to go, but never actually knew where it was... Today, the Geo-Tour bought me here and I have to say... It's bloody beautiful! What an amazing little town! The river had me mesmerized.. So clear.. So fast.. So beautiful..
A fantastic little stroll around town, a little bit of city road rage among friends (insert giggle here), and a short stroll to GZ.. Yet another great cache, showing off most of what Jamieson has to offer.. A little town my family will be back for a camping holiday in the near future

Okay so the first Multi of the Geo Tour saw me stumble, wasn't just me everyone else did too!
The Geo Children were happy to get out and have a run, Ms-enchantress marveled at the clear water and I pointed out the strandline which clearly showed where ethe water level had been. Ms and I saw and worked out the clues while Geo Dad Thommo watched the children near the fast-flowing water, it was here that i was feeling a little stressed, we were trying to fit in the majority of the L.E.G caches and time was ticking. I used the PAF option and as a question, infactact I gave him the answer in my question, if only I was a little less stressed and thought a bit more I wouldn't have needed a PAF. Everything he said made sense, things I hadn't even considered but normally would while working on a multi-stage cache.
I was designated hunter at the final, it was a lovely stroll while the others waited at the car for me, while trying to take a photo of a Wallaby for my log I got Honked by a Deer! It damn near scared the proverbial out of me!
A lovely area we wouldn't have visited if it wasn't for L.E.G.

Nice little area for a stroll. Had a lovely lunch at one of the nearby shops. Yummy!!!
The story of how I got to do the Geotour. I have 5 weeks of leave. I drove from where I'm living in Darwin down to Adelaide with my two geopups (who are in a kennel for a few days while I tour Vic). I spent a week in SA catching up with family. Then thought I would spend a week catching up with mates from Vic and spend a couple of days completing the Geotour. I am pretty chuffed with the effort today 15 in total after a bit of a confused start this morning. I want to thank all the owners and organisers of this Geotour, it has been great!!! Also Thankyou to the Melbourne catchers (they know who they are) who printed out the Geotour info for me, gave me a bed for the night in Melbourne before commencing the tour and being PAFs and general advice. I spent a fair bit of time in this area chasing rapids in a kayak for about 7 years so this part of vic is very familiar to me. I saw heaps of Rapids today and was rather tempted several times, but I have a mission.

Yay almost finished the GeoTour - one leg to go oh my it was much harder than it should have been - so much water flowing everywhere .. But thanks to Geohubby Maximis1978 - we had success
!!!the car was packed on a rainy Tuesday or as life would have it my Sunday as a weekend worker. Decided to set out on a wet day with jojobeenie or as she's more affectionately know my geo wife to find the rest of the chache on the eildon big river road Jameson bound as we had started it a while ago but game was called on account of night fall and not wanting to get stuck in the bush at night . Also on a quest to finish the lake eildon geo tour thanks heaps four your hide and helping to highlight this great part of the local area, also to help me to gain one more coveted faces that we all hold so close to our geo hearts also want to come back to here to camp must include the tent next time we drive up this way
Nearly lost Daisy (Our elderly nearly blind Dog)today on our day out to Jamieson. We were walking along the banks of the river in jamieson and Darcy and Daisy were running around and as Daisy sight isnt the best she just kept on running and fell about a metre down the bank into the very fast current, Just as well i had seen it happen. I ran to the bank and she had been swept about 5 metres down the river, and thankfully she had got caught up in some branches and was paddling in one spot, I lay halfway down the bank and pulled her our It was very scary. and than Darcy( other dog) thinks she is missing all the fun and goes in the river further on and than gets swept away in the current but she managed to get herself out as it younger, stronger and has full vision
What a day and also it was my husbands birthday and we had lunch at the pub and my daughter and i were doing the walk to find the clues , my husband drives off from the pub and the Police pull him up and breathalyze him. Daughter and i are standing there laughing at him Oh what a day

Even though we enjoyed the drive through the trees, we were glad to be out the other side as we were started to get a bit pressed for time. Would've been better if we'd spread the tour over three days instead of two but we didn't have that time luxury.
Jamieson is such a pretty town. Old buildings, full of history, greenery and lots of water - nice!
Gathered all of the info from the various waypoints easily enough, but had trouble with the crossword answer. Travelled to GZ and really enjoyed this hidden little area along the stream, although the ground was a bit sloshy and muddy in places. The crossword answer was no clearer still, so tried google but had no phone service, so back into town to try looking again for the correct answer. Nothing. Not sure what we're missing here, but we came up empty.
Thanks for taking us to this lovely township and for the great GZ location GeoTourers

This cache would have to be one of my favourites for the tour ! Some great places I have driven past and never knew they were there ! A fav point from me a place I will be back to visit again !
Lovely town. Went off to the worked out coords feeling a bit nervous. Found a likely spot to search, others physically searched whilst I read logs and plotted. Decided we in the wrong spot and moved up the road a bit. Spent a bit of time searching. Ground was wet and slippery and we were worried we may not be in the right spot. Geowife decided to go wait at car. Msgd CO....again...Only to find it 30 seconds later. Facetimed geowife and showed her the hide so she didn't miss out. Nice hide and fun cache.
Really thought we had co-ords out and were looking in the wrong spot. Some persaverance with google maps had the cache in hand soon enough... managed to be the only one with dry feet all day.... till now. tftc! Was worth the soggy socks.
We started this cache a few months ago, but for some reason didn't finish it. Today, in a joint attack with our caching buddies mcsee&petal, we re did the multi around this picturesque little town. I managed to trip over my feet and go base over apex on the way to GZ, but the only injury was to my pride. Another L.E.G. cache crossed off our list, and we dropped off a TB while we were there. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
This one was easy although a multi and we soon collected the required information as we drove around town. A quick dash out of town saw this one in hand and another one less, closer to our final.
Thank you Lake Eildon Geo Tour for this placement.

Enjoyed exploring Jamieson. Found this one on our way back to our accommodation at Mansfield country club before heading back to the North East. The family has enjoyed the lake Eildon geotour and we will be back to explore some more of this area. TFTC,
After having spent some wonderfully relaxing time at Wakiti Creek Resort with Sewthat and Honeysucker, muggle partner and I decided to undertake the Lake Eildon GeoTour, accompanied by Brodie.
I'd heard about the GeoTour in detail at a meeting in Nuriootpa about a year ago when I first met Clever Monkey and since the GeoTour sounded so awesome, I'd wanted to do it ever since! [^]
It took us 3 days and we had lots of Ooohhhh moments while enjoying the scenery, a couple of Oh No what have we got ourselves into[?] moments while getting to caches, some Why can't we find the cache[?] moments thanks to cache thieves and some amazingly ongoing and supportive communication from CM throughout which was hugely appreciated [^]
Now that muggle partner has experienced some of the beauty in this area, I have much more chance of getting him back here again for an extended stay
Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.
A gorgeous little town with the friendliest people every where we went!
So many pretty views [^], great food and service in both the Court House Hotel (say hi to Leanne and Jeff, the new owners) and the General Store (say hi to Leanne and Wayne) and the coffees and fudge in the General Store are to die for! [^]
We gathered the information required and then collected the multi cache on our journey while enjoying the wonderful views all around
Both of us were rather sad to leave this pretty place and I'm pretty sure I'll convince muggle partner to come back here again now that he has such happy memories [^]
Please keep in mind that I currently have no favourite points left otherwise every cache on this GeoTour would receive a FP for the wonderful adventure that this GeoTour provided

##Day 3##
90 minutes to do 60 ks that cant be right.
It wasnt it took us more like 120 minutes.
That sure is one winding road.
Very dissapointed to come off the mountain and find the brewery is closed for May.
All I could do was peer through the glass and see cartons of rasberry beer.
So close but oh so far.
What does rasberry beer taste like anyway looks like I am not finding out.
Oh well onward into town then to see a man about a hut and work on our picnics.
What an absolutely beautiful place to visit.
The colour of the autumn leaves was spectacular and at one stage is was snowing leaves on us.
That is a lovely walk along the river.
Deborah Parrot wanted to stop at Debs cafe for lunch.
I had Lamb Shank in a red wine jus and it was delicious. Mrs Parrot had the quiche.
This geotour is certainly delivering in showcasing the local areas around Lake Eildon and we are having such a great time doing this.
Now lets go find a cache.

Oooh tricky on the hinges - look closely indeed! We were temporarily sidetracked by the fudge sign near the wombats so in we went (and purchases made). On to Juddy's Hut (where we couldn't find some of the information) and then the picnic spot (where some muggles were picnicking at GZ). We soon worked out the coords for the final WP however we were unable to ascertain the required information for the final cache in the geotour. The organisers confirmed the sign has been changed and soon filled us in. The drive to the final WP was quick on a lot straighter road, and as we walked to GZ we shared caching stories. Again, soon found the cache, signing duties completed, put it back and wandered back to the cars for the next one!
Day 4 of our Road Trip.
Fourth of thirteen for today.
The highlight of the day was definite the fudge purchased for the lovely shop across from WP1!!!
The multi was a lovely walk except for the missing information for the crossword. Then s drive on to the final GZ.
A shame the BBQs at WP3 were filthy!?!

Wow, Jamieson and this cache are amongst the most enjoyed discoveries of the weekend! We came into town hoping to be able to pick up a drink of the caffeinated kind, drove past the brewery (looking good, if you like beer) and soon found a cafe. The Devonshire Tea was ok, but while we were sitting there, we could already see that the little town presents a lot of its history on interpretative signs. So, freshly strengthened, we soon made our way around the main street of the town, looked at the museum (just from the outside) and made up our mind that we would love to come back, explore it all with more time, hopefully in more clement weather conditions. Today, we resorted to the air-conditioned Wings (we normally walk everywhere!) to drive down to the picnic area and to Juddy's hut to get our information. We soon had some plausible final coordinates, but we just could not figure out the part for the crossword here. Slightly sad-faced, we took a photo of the information board and decided to mull it over again later.
At GZ, we spotted the classic hide, to which we had become accustomed during this Tour, left our mark, took note of the clue, and moved on.
Later that night we had a look at previous logs and decided to contact the COs to get help with the elusive answer. Our message was sent the next day, and we were very grateful to receive the all-important reply in time before we left the area. Thank you for guiding us through Jamieson, for whetting our appetite to get to know it a little better, and for helping us so promptly when we got stuck!

With lots of false starts with this one, we final made it. I am very thankful to the previous log, who picked up that at Juddy's Hut the information board has been changed and the answer is no longer the answer in the crossword. No doubt frustrating for the tour organisers and being out of range to contact anyone was really hard, when we were heading towards #20. A huge thanks to the previous logger and CO for the answer we needed.
Well Jamieson we floated through here a few days ago, knowing there was a high possibility that we couldn't do it, as I didn't know how to add a waypoint to my gps system. (this day I had worked out how to work off online) but this gave us a chance to have a good look around this sweet little town. All roads tended to lead, down the hill, to the same area. A beautiful little stream where everyone just seemed to float down their own little flow. My boys knew this was here, and pretty much bolted out of the car and somewhere between the stream and the picnic area had already taken their shoes off, and just ran, once we said, yes you can go in there. Fully clothed they just splashed around and lay down in the cool fresh water. We spent much longer here again, not because I was trying to work out the co-ordinates but it was so nice for the boys to experience something so wonderful. I use to go on youth camps in the high country, pretty sure it was around the Mansfield way, around Stoney creek because we stayed with the stoneys. And we were able to experience hiking, and crossing streams I just took it for granted that these were the moments that all kids have ( just like my childhood). This, just is something my kids have never experienced, with my husband working so hard, on the week-ends, then throw in some basketball games, our week-ends are gone. If it was going to be a long day, so be it, if we didn't get the series down and we had to return, so be it. THIS is a huge reason we do Geocaching to create those magical moments, especially while to boys are so young.
THE CACHE: the information was retrieved really quickly & the final co-ordinates matched close enough to the carpark co-ordinates. I loved these sweet little huts, which then made us spot a whole lot more around the town making us think we will come back here, perhaps even stay here. We had no idea where the co-ordinates were going to lead us but it seemed like the likely spot. Hooray, we made the find and I can't tell you what a relief to have this multi done. I would imagine in the winter and when it's lush and green this spot would be quite pretty.
For all that running around, backtracking, misinformation. I can't think of a better place to remember this as our #300th find, the place my boys had the biggest smiles, discovering their childhood.

Found the cache easy enough from finding all the answers to the questions. What a cute little village. However getting the answer to the crossword proved to be a challenge- we thought we had marbles in our head because it should have been an easy answer to an easy question; however, after discussing with the owner the information board where we needed the information from had been updated to a new one and the info we needed was no longer there. The issue is being sorted - we were just glad that the team at Lake Eildon GeoTour are very awesome and got back to us right away so we could carry on. Thanks again Shannon! TFTC!!
What a beautiful town. Lesson learnt here - concentrate on the crossword puzzle. It's all so complicated - code word, crossword puzzle, picnic tables everywhere. Favourite point on this one. No way you could stumble on the final location. TFTC
Really liked this town and decided we will come back here. It would have to be our favourite so far. The history tour was very interesting although Juddy's hut gave us some grief at first.
Geo grandson loved calculating all the answers for us. After finding this one the group split as the youngest was becoming tires and a little car sick. We knew what was ahead so dad took him back and the intrepid 4 continued.
At GZ I walked past the cache and it was only on returning that I spotted it. Had to walk in twice as we forgot the swaps.

Thanks to the L.E.G. Tour for leading us to this lovely town.
We had afternoon tea at the General Store and met Wayne who made sure we saw the best sights in the area. Little did he know that to find the cache, we had already seen some very pretty spots along the way. Easy find at the final co-ords. 25% of the Tour now completed!

A great multi that taught us a few things about the town . We passed the cache, and had to perform a Uturn to get back to the parking. As we wandered down the path a passerby yells out "it's under the log" cheers , thanks for the fun multi which gave us a have to stretch out legs along the river between the waypoints
A nice multi that gave us some great information about the history of the town and showed us some nice spots.

We had to do the WPs in different order due to people hanging around one of the spots. Such a beautiful little town - and really enjoyed the fudge from the local shop! Thanks for the information about the history o this small town. TFTC
TFTC I have not always had success with multis but we got this one worked out and even found the cache with no problems.
Was great to explore the local historical sites - including the old cutting up the hill, and have lunch at the newish table by the river. tftc!
Out for the day with Bonny Black to find as many L.E.G tour caches we can. Finding this cache was both interesting and informative. Well done multi. Love an ammo can. [^]
Civilisation at last! I must admit, beautiful as it was, I was glad to get off those twisty roads. Coming into Jamieson we were impressed with all the autumn colours in the streets. We quickly found Masters Hut and started gathering the required info from the various venues around town and headed off to collect the cache in an unexpected location.
Riding shotgun with Faulksi, our aim was to bag L.E.G.5 to 16 ignoring the myriad of other caches on the way and to complete the L.E.G.20 puzzle. Thank you LEG team, good work.

Had a bit of fun with this one in the twilight. So happy our answers to us to GZ!
The cache is in good shape.

Easter weekend caching with holdfast, lolsmile17 and creeper. Our aim was to complete the LEG. We didn't make it, but we had a great weekend camping, driving, caching and fishing.
The 4 of us worked together to collect the required information, including the crossword question. Arriving at GZ I became sceptical that we had the right coords and i was ready to give up almost straight away. Geoboy and holdfast kept looking and found it! Loved the Anzac biscuit recipe someone left there. TFTC We got the codeword, made some swaps and got on our way.

Hi there Lake Eildon GeoTour. We found your cache "L.E.G. 7 - Jamieson" at 9:11:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 10443.

This is our second day on the Geo-tour, so please forgive our boilerplate logs, hopefully they won't detract from the great caches we found today.
Once again our day started before the birds. We watched the the sun rise through the early morning mist and the smoke from the reduction burns that were carried out while we were out yesterday.
Today was one of find and re-trace as we didn't always get the numbers correct on a multi or maybe we missed a clue on the crossword.
Again we started out wearing jumpers as the thermometer said it was only eight degrees this morning, but pretty soon we had our jumpers off and were down to our usual shorts and tee shirts as the day warmed up.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Pam and I have taken a couple of days to travel around central Victoria, and to undertake the Lake Eildon Geotour. Day 1 has been quite fun, leaving home at 8am and finishing up in a cabin at Bonnie Doon Caravan Park after having completed the first half of the tour.
This cache was the 7th of 12 for the day.
After lunch in a lovely little picnic spot, this multi was undertaken.
All went well, which is pretty unusual, and the final was found after a short search. All good with this one.

After a weekend up at Buller, I had the Monday to complete the GeoTour. I had found a half dozen three days earlier. My job today was to continue to travel clockwise and get the caches in reverse sequence. It turned out to be 12 hours on the road, and then I still had to get myself back to Hawthorn.
I am hopeless at multies. If there is any ambiguity in the questions, even if I am the only person to even think that an alternative exists, then I will choose the wrong answer.
I laboured over the questions, determined not to stuff up. When the coordinates came up, they were exactly as expected. A long way away.
I reread the cache description, and realised my coordinates could actually correct. Then I remembered that this was a place that I might have to backtrack a bit if I was doing the GeoTour in reverse sequence.
I really enjoyed this cache, one of my faves of the GeoTour. The waypoint sites were very interesting. The final also intriguing--how did the COs know of this place?
I was starving for lunch, and I recalled seeing a sign for a brewery.....

Today we continued this series as we were based in Eilden for the day. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring this area and the locations the caches took us to. Looking forward to completing the series and the challanges associated with this series.
We appreciate the time and effort gone into placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.

What a lovely town! Have never been here before! Had a great picnic by the river and we were off on our travels again! TFTC
It was interesting to learn about the hits and it was time have a break from driving to work out this puzzle with streetteam1 TFTC
This multi seemed to have it all - firstly, we love a good multi, secondly we love a multi that takes in either great history or locations......this had both . We really enjoyed the information collection and collation in this sleepy little town but were really taken with the great spots that we were shown along the way. Thankfully Coruze, The GeoPrincess and us took down the clues separately and we were able to do the math and check our final co-ords. Obviously we were still relatively fresh by the time we tackled this multi as all our numbers as well as GZ corresponded. So then it was off toward GZ where another well hidden ammo was found tucked away. Yet another favourite from us. Our thanks to Lake Eildon GeoTour for all the time and effort gone into creating such an awesome series. Cheers [^]
What a great multi [^]
Photo op heaven!
Each of the waypoints took us to interesting spots that were gorgeous!
It's times like this that we should have done the tour in the correct order and not hicculty picculty as we had to back track a bit [:o)] Oh well, you get that.
I think in terms of the tour that this cache was the best as many of the town's highlights were included. It is obvious that quite a bit of time and effort and gone int play creating this awesome cache. I loved it, so thanks for the fun! [^]

Find #426. After what felt like a long time in the car traveling from Eildon to Jamieson, we were glad to see the little sign that said Jamieson 2 K's away. We were even more glad because it seems that M&G Clan's car was just guzzling through the petrol quicker with all the bends of the mountains. Anyway the first stop we made was to the little petrol station. The second stop was to the pub for a nice refreshing drink and a pit stop. The little pub there is so gorgeous. As is the town. Most of the townsfolk were at the picnic spot just laying in the shade, reading books and wading in the beautiful little stream that ran straight past. We weren't looked at twice whilst gathering the necessary information we needed to work out GZ so we worked out the coords and bid farewell to the little town of Jamieson. So glad this cache brought us here. Thanks for the cache
A great cache to get your brain working on a warm day such as today.
A nice spot of history and a few great photo-opportunities adds up for a great cache hide in my book.
Started off this cache with a nice warm cross bun for morning tea and by the end, I was looking for an ice-cream.
Maybe next time I guess!

#1421 Really enjoyed exploring this very pretty town as we collected the clues for the final. A rich history for varying reasons and a pleasant walk along the river. Although mid summer we were amazed to see how green it was. Great multi, FP issued - TFTC L.E.G.
We finally had a free weekend to come back over for the weekend and complete the Geotour. The last time we visited this pretty little town the road to Eildon was dirt and I suspect we were just in the family sedan. But that leg is still to come. We enjoyed our wander around which included finding Phetlern, 2 toilet stops, lunch, coffee and finding PoiterH. And some caches as well.

With the publication of the February L.E.G. Event it was a wakeup call to us to come back to this diverse part of Victoria. Our mission today was to complete the Geo Tour and be able to submit all our data prior to the cut-off date.
At the time of the launch in November, we found around half the caches in the tour. The most significant differences we noticed today were the well-worn geo trails leading to most of the caches and the rougher roads; which indicates just how popular and widely known the Geo Tour has become.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day, spent time wandering around town here learning a little of the history, before visiting another of those sturdy containers.
Our thanks to Lake Eildon GeoTour for the hunt.

Day 1 of Poiter.h, MizzJane & 'Scrat's' Lake Eildon GeoTour Adventure.
This was our Fourth GeoTour cache stop for the day.
After having lunch at another picnic spot in Jamieson, meeting the 'The Morris' team, we made our way to the first way point and gathered the required information. We made the short walk to way point 2 and gather the last of the required information. Did all sums and then we set off for GZ. Arrived GZ and found a suitable parking spot and the off we went and located the cache.
‘Scrat’ did the Lake Eildon GeoTour whilst on his Great Aussie Adventure.
