Fun and games today. Very tough on the wrist and then we got caught! TFTC GOOD HIDE but it’s totally saturated except some nice person has placed paper in a new bag. Needs maintenance

Out and about with Echidna44 having had a wonderful day at the farm. On our way home we wanted to check this one out as it had appeal from favourtie reports. Co ords lead to one seat and we gave that a good going other with no joy. Read some logs and clue and widened our search by 12 meters. Noticed something more promising. After checking out all opportunities, prodding and pulling we finally made the excellent hide. Container was very wet. Emptied the water out and tired to make our mark. This is an excellent well made cache. It gets a favorite from us. Thanks for the challenging find Lake Eildon Geo Tour
Out with xambo4u on our way home from Bonnie Doon, it was dusk, and l thought l knew what we were looking, for having done others in the series. Things didn't look promising, so we widened the search by 12 metres and found what we were looking for. Cache very wet after the rain, but we managed to sign and we're on our way. Thanks Lake Eildon GeoTour
What’s beautiful lake and another quick stop on the way past to find this little beauty!

Day 2 of the Mansfield getaway, we were heading south, to Eildon today. Some of these caches, Snap had found already, but he was nice enough to drive me to. Co-ords were out by 15 metres, it took me a little while to find the object mentioned in the hint! Thanks for the cache Lake Eildon Geotour.

*Out and about grabbing a cache to keep my streak alive*...
**354** *consecutive days with finds*
Made the find whilst House Sitting in Mansfield. No muggles around today due to a few scattered showers. Made the searching somewhat easier. The log is wet and I didn't have a replacement on me. *How* can that get wet??? A favourite for your efforts here. What a beautiful part of Australia. We really are so fortunate.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment Lake Eildon GeoTour. Appreciate your effort.

Took 2 visits as our first attempt a muggle family decided it was time for a picnic.
Coordinates were a bit off so we expanded the search and I spotted the familiar hide.
(Log book is soggy)

Took a while. Phone lead us to obvious hide. Poked and prodded every piece without success them checked some more seats.
Read some logs and realised the cache might be 10 metres off. Backtracked some more and then dad saw the familiar construction of another cache.
Log book is saturated.

What I thought would be a quick find, turned out to be a bit more of a mission. But that's where th Moose comes in and he had it pretty much straight after he turned up. A nice hide and a great picnic area. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.
A very clever cache - took us a few minutes to work it out as the bad weather was making the co-ords jump all over the place, but we triumphed and soon had the cache in hand. As others have said, the log is completely sopping wet but we still managed to sign it. A fav point from us! TFTC
Very clever cache. Thank you for the cache. Log soaking wet and was unable to sign it. Will post as a needs maintenance.
On our way to Bright for a 3 night getaway, we stopped in here to have a short break and to grab this cache )
Awesome cache, earns a favourite point from me ))

Found it - awesomely clever hide! Needed some help from the previous logs - coords had us about 10m E of GZ. Also, log is saturated and mouldy, I did my best to sign, but desperately needs replacing asap. TFTC
I knew Dan was moving away from the area shortly so I started dragging him out to do as many of the L.E.Gs as I can.
This included a drive around the lake to get all of the caches.
Yes I did it the painful way... in reverse.
Thanks!

On my way up to mt buller for an event and needed to collect 31 caches to hit 3000 caches by the event. These hides are very creative. This one however needs a little tlc due to the logbook being soggy. Tftc

TFTC - loved the hiding spot, very clever! Cache needs a little maintenance though, pretty water damaged. Cheers also no traceable inside!
Well, this one got us! After half an hour we had to call it. Even the Geodog didn't help, mojo must have been off after pigeon out on bonnie doon chips...hopefully will come back this way to try again!
TFTC. Very clever, nearly didn't find. The log, and inside of box, is saturated. I could not write in the log. Left in sun to dry as long as we could, but needs an hour or so. With Tony Toad and Ron Adventure Sloth.
TFTC! Favourite from me!! Emptied water from cache, to wet to log, put back, need CO attention! Very impressive driving past for work from Warragul!
Today was Day 2 of my Christmas present from the family...A few days away to complete the Lake Eildon Geotour. I had completed 50% of the tour yesterday and my aim today was to complete it in it's entirety. Yesterday I had completed the caches #1-10 in order but today logistical imperatives meant that I would complete the series in whatever order was best.
A quick find. The log was very damp. TFTC.

Find #1352. Well this is a marvellous hide. As others have said before hand the GPS had us 10m from where we needed to be. I made the find as Geohubby went back to the car to for his trusty tool kit... of course it wasn't needed though.
Fav point added as we continue our road trip north.

It's fun to cache with a friend,

Homburg, Jacko and Pacman
with Bentley had a gameplan,
To explore Eildon in one great weekend!
We started the LEG in Alexandra and made our way around clockwise.
We had to sit and ponder this one, but we found it in the end. Retrieval was a little challenge but get it we did. Signed and replaced.

Lots of rebellious laughter along the way and not many muggles around.
A different hide here but a quick one as well.

Out for a weekend getaway with Pacman, Ahomburg, myself and Geomutt Bentley.
Myself and Pacman set about searching for this cache, looking for a regular size with the hint. We were really stuck and Ahomburg was in the car. Hmm. I checked GE and coords had me in rotunda. Pacman then spotted something. Ahh - this has to be it!
But how? we both had a look of amazement when the cache revealed itself. Absolutely awesome.
But be careful - that hide bites! Thanks for a sensational and well constructed hide. Truly a magnificent series - attribute or no attribute.

Ever since the emergence of this tour, it's been on my high priority list of caches to do. Being born and bred Victorian, it had been a while since I had been to Eildon, so with the announcement that the tour was officially ending it's geotour status, I made plans to get down here before that occurred. I left Newcastle yesterday and arrived in Merton late that night to start the tour early this morning, and with sticking strictly to the caches on the tour, finished the tour in around 12 hours.
The GPS had me pointed 10m away at another object that couldn't possibly house a regular sized cache, so a quick read of the hint had me looking elsewhere, and as I investigated, and slowly located the cache...I was like 'No way'. I think it's fair to say that this was the best hide on the tour, and possibly the best hide I've seen for a while. Brilliant.
Gratias Lake Eildon GeoTour.

Found with the rest of the Geo Nerds. We had a great fun weekend traveling around the area guided by caches. Thanks heaps to all the CO's that put this great series together. We had a blast. TFTC
Found with Zobo04, Hearse068, BorisB&Natasha, Bounty Trackers, De Ja Vu, KTCvic and Velocachu . We signed the cache with our Geo Nerds Stamp. The plan was hatched to do this tour before it was finished. Accommodation booked and we were all good to go. Where else would you stay but in Bonnie Doon of cause. Oh The Serenity A Huge thanks to the CO's for all the work that has gone into making and maintaining this little series. We had a fabulous time gallivanting around the area with lots of laughs along the way. Kids again got this one, Nicely done think the adults will have to sharpen there game skills up. TFTC
Knowing the GeoTour was to end soon prompted the geo nerds to plan another fun weekend of caching.
What a fantastic cache this was, totally unexpected which are the best kind. Would give this more than one favourite point if I could.
A special thank you to Lake Eildon GeoTour for the cache and all the effort for putting it together.

Thanks to all those involved in this fantastic tour around Lake Eildon. All caches signed by the Geo Nerds.

Who wants to go up to do the Lake Eildon Geo Tour? That was the question asked, all said yeah so the Geo Nerds band got back together for another fun filled few days. Accomodation was booked at Bonnie Doon with name of Serenity, cue the many references from the beloved Castle!
Saturday saw ten of us pack into two Prados full on a fair trek around Lake Eildon, finished by the GIFF event at Acheron and the last two L.E.G Caches due to the roads being closed for Targa Rally on Sunday.
Walked towards GZ after parking, quick find of a nicely built receptacle.
Thanks for the great series!!

Log was stamped as Geo Nerds consisting of Gonefishen07,Borisb&Natasha, Hearse068, Zobo04, DeJaVu, Velocachu, KTCvic and myself Bounty Trackers.
Gonefishen came up with the plan of doing the Lake Eioldon Geo Tour before it was gone, so we all agreed, Lets get up there and do it.
KTCvic was straight on to booking a place that would sleep 10 people in Bonnie Doon for our 2 night stay.
Gonefishen Borisb&natasha and Hearse068 and myself all meet up in Pakenham so we could cache our way up while DeJaVu and KTCvic where coming up later as they had to work. BorisB&natasha gave the keys to the Prado as she wanted to be a lady of leisure and be chauffeured.
We laughed all the way and just had a fantastic weekend away with great friends, cant wait until the next adventure.
signed log thanks for the cache.

So we managed to time this cache with a community market as part of the High Country Festival, as DrJim7 posted, it was mugglemania. Despite the muggles the cache was found and replaced without any major issue. A neat hide and good to finally get back to finish the GeoTour.
Don't you just love it when you rock up at a cache to find a country fair at the site. So at least one more person knows about caching now! Surprising what you can get away with surrounded by muggles though.
Well our last for today...yes I know what you are thinking only six...that means 14 to get tomorrow... It's going to be a big day tomorrow...stay tuned. We got this one just as it was getting dark..glad we did though as there is going to be a Fair here tomorrow and that would have made getting this one almost impossible! We loved the construction of the hide here.. Fantastic.! We really appreciate the effort that has gone into these hides...we can't wait to see what is in-store for us tomorrow.. hopefully we can finish it or leave only a few for the return trip on Monday!
Had some time to spare before meeting our geofriends at the Bonnie Doon Hotel for lunch so we decided to complete one of the L.E.G. caches. The co ordinates were a bit out, but having seen a similar cache on the tour we were soon looking in the right spot, but Mr Pooky needed all his strength to open the hidey hole......watch out for your fingers. TFTC and bringing us to this little park. There were a number of cars at the CFA station across the road but there did not appear to be anyone actually in attendance. TNLN.
Whoops, got over excited and missed logging this one too!!

Found while doing a solo trip around the "LEG" caches.
No real major plans for the trip other than to attempt to find all the Tour Geocaches, maybe find the odd other cache, a spot of sightseeing and to enjoy what this part of Vic has to offer.
*****EDIT******
Seeing the Shelter here I knew I would be able to keep, reasonably, dry while signing the log. After a quick grab I indeed was.
Took a bit to extract the cache from the hide as that is one hell of a hinge.
As the day was getting on and the rain had settled in for the night. it was here I changed my plans of camping, to finding a solid roof over head and a good heater.

Great hidey hole in a good little park, probably not visited often by tourists.
Definitely a favourite point for this one. Coords were a bit off but a previous cache on this tour helped us to eventually nail this one. Brilliant. TFTC and the effort put into it.
Had to make a quick find at this cache before I lost the kids to the fire engine and ride on mower over the road!
But where?
I was following the GPS around and around.. MrsThommo was laughing her head off watching! Before I finally stood on my head, squinted my and held my tongue in the right way.. Hazzah, GZ was revealed!
Now it was time to go check out the fire engine and ride on mower.. Gotta keep the kids happy!

Geopartner found this one while I was in the car with geobub. Another terrific hide! Loving this Geotour. TFTC.
I often drive past this one on my way up to Geograni and Pa's, I just hadn't had the opportunity to stop, this is the sort of quality hide I was expecting from the Geo Tour! Well done, I really appreciate the time $ and effort that went/goes into hides like this. A fav point from us. TFTC Lake Eildon GeoTour SL TNLN TBV
Well as with many others before me it took a little while to work out what was going on with this cache. However once found I was still not sure what I was suspecting was correct. Finally I found what I had been missing and had a cache in hand.
Cache is damp inside, attempted to dry it out with not much success. Log book is wet, however is still intact.
The story of how I got to do the Geotour. I have 5 weeks of leave. I drove from where I'm living in Darwin down to Adelaide with my two geopups (who are in a kennel for a few days while I tour Vic). I spent a week in SA catching up with family. Then thought I would spend a week catching up with mates from Vic and spend a couple of days completing the Geotour. I am pretty chuffed with the effort today 15 in total after a bit of a confused start this morning. I want to thank all the owners and organisers of this Geotour, it has been great!!! Also Thankyou to the Melbourne catchers (they know who they are) who printed out the Geotour info for me, gave me a bed for the night in Melbourne before commencing the tour and being PAFs and general advice. I spent a fair bit of time in this area chasing rapids in a kayak for about 7 years so this part of vic is very familiar to me. I saw heaps of Rapids today and was rather tempted several times, but I have a mission.

Co ords are way off. Hint found us in the right spot. Worked out how to retrieve after finding something similar earlier in the day. Nice hide.
TFTC love the hide! But so frustrating that the co-Ords are way off. Had it within 30sec of reading previous log that it is 15 m from where GPS lands. Can CO please check and update
Up around the north of the lake now, feeling more and more accomplished. That was until we pulled up to this one and just as we did a muggle had set himself up nearby. He wasn't going anywhere fast, with his computer and lunch now set up. We had a bit of a scout around but coordinates kept leading to where he had set up camp. Damn! Assessing the situation and calculating our time left to complete the tour, we took a gamble and thought this muggle could be trusted with what we were up to. It would've been a bit awkward hunting around where he was sitting without telling him what we were up to. Hahaha. Luckily he has a friend who geocaches so was cool with it all. He even suggested checking out 'inside the seat of the longdrop' - ah hell no! LOL. Not having much luck I consulted past logs while geobuddy widened the search. That's when they spotted something that looked a little 'off'. Upon closer investigation I had the clever cache hide opened and container retrieved. Nicely done. TFTC
Suscoe had a big day today heading off bright and early to get around here to start the day at this cache, Over 100 kilometres to find the first one and then we found caches one by one on the way back to Eildon.
It was a delightful day, lots of fog early and then a sunny and mild day emerged.
Thanks to Lake Eildon Geotour for this hide.
We enjoyed lunch in the sun and wondered how this one had been hidden.
Our GPS had us over 15 metres away from where we finally found this one today.
Strange things were happening out there in space we suspect!!!!!!!!!

Tried to locate this cache last week on the way up to Mt Buller but it had us stumped...After leaving and reflecting on our snow holiday we thought there was only one likely spot which we revisited on the way home and got it straight away. Great hiding spot. We left a TB. TFTC

After having spent some wonderfully relaxing time at Wakiti Creek Resort with Sewthat and Honeysucker, muggle partner and I decided to undertake the Lake Eildon GeoTour, accompanied by Brodie.
I'd heard about the GeoTour in detail at a meeting in Nuriootpa about a year ago when I first met Clever Monkey and since the GeoTour sounded so awesome, I'd wanted to do it ever since! [^]
It took us 3 days and we had lots of Ooohhhh moments while enjoying the scenery, a couple of Oh No what have we got ourselves into[?] moments while getting to caches, some Why can't we find the cache[?] moments thanks to cache thieves and some amazingly ongoing and supportive communication from CM throughout which was hugely appreciated [^]
Now that muggle partner has experienced some of the beauty in this area, I have much more chance of getting him back here again for an extended stay
Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.
After leaving the Bonnie Doon Lakeside Leisure Resort and taking the 2WD track back to the main road, we doubled back to Maindample to get this cache.
Nice park area and a quick stop for all of us for our first cache for the day on our 3rd day of the GeoTour.
We enjoyed learning the history of this area and pondered how such once thriving townships can be reduced by fickle changes in life and modes of transport etc.
Clever cache hide that muggle partner didn't believe when I first said 'it's there' but he did once the cache was produced
Please keep in mind that I currently have no favourite points left otherwise every cache on this GeoTour would receive a FP for the wonderful adventure that this GeoTour provided

Wow! What an absolutely amazing cache. Our geofamily snores it. Took some time to find but well worth the effort. Thanks so much for the effort that will be marked as one of our favourites.
#**Parrots Quest to Lake Eildon Geotour to find their 10000 cache.**#
##Day 2##
I headed straight as an arrow to this one and thanks to an earlier cache knew exactly what was required.
Another wonderfully executed cache hide.
There have certainly been many varied and clever hides on this tour and this one certainly stand out.

I was now on my way home from a fantastic weekend at Mount Buller, but there were still caches to be found on the way home, this was one of them.
I was muggled out on this one on the way up so I went for another look on the way back.
I made my way to GZ and had a look around, then with the help of the hint I was able to make the find.
It certainly get a fav point from me, very well done.
**Thanks to Lake Eildon GeoTour for placing this cache.**

Quick stop off to change drivers on our way back from the Easter camping trip in the High Country. Like others we were diverted for far too long examining a nearby picnic table, before I read some logs and widened the search. Very clever hide! TFTC
