We looked for around 10 minutes and didn't come up with it. Thought it would be easy.
We are on our summer holiday, we usually take a few weeks and travel around the South Island, but this year we are heading around the North Island. Heading up the West coast and back down the East coast. Finding only a select few caches along the way, we are mostly targeting some challenges we have qualified for, some large size caches, some that fill gaps in our date placed grid, a few D/T combinations, some with lots of favourite points, letterboxes and anything else that grabs our fancy.
I had a fall earlier in the week so I was now pretty much out of action with a very sore and swelling ankle, so I am only going to help find the nearby caches and gk is going to find any of the caches that require more of a walk. After spending time at the Te Kuiti medical / hospital centre my sprain has turned into a fracture and I am in a moon boot and told to keep weight off my leg.
We parked the campervan nearby to help give us a bit of cover while we were searching, but did not find it. Phoned a friend who narrowed the search area down. Turns out that we were taking the hint for being correct - nearly but not quite. And the cache was quite well buried, anyway it is always a good thing if it ends up with a find which in this cache it did.
Thank you for placing the cache and thank you for the smiley

Returning on our fourth attempt, and making it to Northland this time, and cache found (so three to go to complete TMGT). Thought we would do this as a bonus wayside cache.

After doing all the cultural stuff at the awesome treaty house and surrounds I checked the geo-map and spotted this one, a G-2 cache this far from 'home', nice one. After leaving the site we headed along to the other side of the fence we'd sighted from inside by the cottage. T F T C
It's the last full day in the area today and mrs and I decided we were going to head out of town and up to Waitangi and Bay of Islands. A also noted that there were some TMGTs to be grabbed in the area and they were to be the focus, the Kaikohe duo were a bit too far off route and so were left for 'another time'. A good day out and saw some great sights and the weather played nicely too, nice one. We started the day at the site of the longest foot bridge in the Southern hemisphere at Whananaki South.
Heading north for Christmas, we're off to Ngunguru for 6 days along the Tutukaka coast and accompanied by our youngest daughter, middle daughter and family, and will meet up with one of our sons and his family too, so a busy time. Had a great time away and ate well, watered well and a bit of fishing and kayaking, awesome weather mostly too in Northland.

Sorry this one is way too difficult for me. I couldn't even see three rocks ...more like 20.
It took 2 visits to get this as a muggles in a vehicle were facing GZ on my first call. Second time found the area much quieter & soon had the log signed & replaced. TFTC
Thanks to a member for staff who kindly sent us in the right direction. FOURTH time lucky. TFTC.
Moving between accomodation venues and picking up caches on our way.
A quick find.

During our roadtrip through New Zealand I found this cache "Psst!--Here, Sign this Treaty!" from G-2 on 17 maart 2020 13:55.
Not a very easy find.
Groetjes/Greetings and TFTC from a Dutchman (a long way from home, but home is here the heart is, on the goodbus).

Fortunately very quiet here today, as it was eenie, meenie .... to choose which three! TFTC
Nice find with woolwood9 today.
*We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area.*
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!

Mooi verstopt. Bedankt voor het leggen en onderhouden van deze cache. The Nederlands
A great hike showed me the surroundings of Paihia... a beautiful place.
With a little detour I could walk to all the cans.
This also belonged to it
Thanks for this cache says Pöni.

Took us a minute to figure out which side of the fence we’re supposed to be on. Still took us a moment to find it. But find it we did. TFTC
If you are inside the treaty grounds then jump over the fence to sign this one.
If outside already ... dont pay entrance fee for this.

We were lucky enough to be in the area off the "Ruby Princess". We hatched a plan to up early and on the first tender off the boat, to see if we could collect a few of the TMGT caches. Took the opportunity to locate this cache. We had a locked gate and fence between us and the cache, when luck would have it, an attendant with the combo happened along whilst we were contemplating our abilities to jump the fence lol. However with a severe knee injury at the last cache it really wasn't the thing to do. We explained to the attendant what we were doing and were able to make the find before the tour bus they were waiting for pulled up. lol What were the chances of that serendipity happening. SL. TFTC.
Out on a Christmas day ramble and stopped off up here.
Nice easy find at gz.

After spending the morning in the grounds I quickly made the find up the road. TFTC
Had to wait for muggles to leave, then after a little head scratching made the find. TFTC
Had stopped here on the way up the road and back down and there were workers sitting at GZ. Even now, and actually started to drive away when the last one got up and left allowing me to swoop in and make the find. Found with boneybruce. TFTC!!!

NLBokkie and I are going on holiday to New Zealand for 3 weeks. In Auckland we rent a camper. We start on the North island and driving to the south to make the crossing to the South island. Here we make a round and then take the boat back to the North Island. A long trip, but a very beautiful one! We do and see a lot on our way.........…
In addition to being a tourist, we are also going to cache along the way. The virtuals and earth caches are often on tourism places. If we have a long day of traveling, we stop for some caches.
It were great weeks!

Berrydehamster and me are travelling in New Zealand for three weeks. We cross the country from north to south and back again by campervan, see a lot, do a lot, visit lots of places and meet a lot of people. It’s nice to be here and we have a great time.
As both of us are geocachers, we find a lot of caches on our travels. This is one of the caches we found. Thanks for your cache, G-2, that helped give us a wonderful time here.

Today is the final run to finish off our remaining TMGT caches but naturally we'll find a few more to keep ourselves busy.
This one gave us a little difficulty given the works in the area but we circled back in the car after we'd finished on the Treaty Grounds. The cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords, a good hint and straight forward placement. Cheers G-2, TFTC

A great cache. Good clue. Fortunately no buses and muggles about. Didn’t have a pen to sign log. TFTC
Found this on our thru-hike of te araroa. Super excited that the trail goes by this place!
Could see where it was from inside the grounds, but had to go outside to get it.Tftc.
Visited this museum today and around - very interesting. Pleased to get this cache. SL. TFTC
Out on a mission collecting TMGT caches in the North...couldn’t drive past this one ....some construction work being done ...so was under the eye of a couple of security guards ...ha ha ...waited then snap ,sign, replace and run lol they never saw a thing ...thanks G2 for another typical G2 hide appreciate your efforts thanks
Earlier we had managed to avoid detection while finding another cache nearby. We had parked the motor home not far from here. After a "cuppa" we thought we'd drive up here, grab the cache and go. The gate was open as work was in progress just inside the grounds. Any thoughts of nipping in were rapidly thwarted as there were two security guards keeping vigilance there. I figured since I didn't try to go inside then they wouldn't care what I did. After signing they gave me a friendly wave and we were off. Thanks for the cache G_2
Out exploring the far north on a glorious Spring day visiting the sights and collecting a few caches along the way, as you do. We didn't have enough time to do the full Waitangi experience and so ended up passing through via a couple of geocaches. Wasn't too busy here today and so we were able to give the area a good look over and, after eliminating a few possibilities, one of the Jr. Cachers located the cache in its hidey-hole. Signed the log and returned as found. TFTC G-2.
Very busy entrance to construction site nearby. Checked some spots but decided to give up
We were out for a walk and although initially confused as to how to access this, all became clear as our walk continued. Thanks for placing it.
We were at the treaty grounds the other day and couldn't get to this one from inside, so when driving around today we popped over for a quick find once at gz, tftc!
Took a little bit of searching, my GPS wouldn't settle down and I found the hint a bit confusing.
Well tucked away in an obvious spot once I interpreted the hint correctly.

I was sent to Paihia to do some work for a week and I was quite excited as I haven't been up here before. I was keen to have a look around the area and the best way to see the area is while searching for caches.
A simple cache in a nice area.
