A thoroughly enjoyable day out with Bowiewhist, homing in on as many of Ellie's caches as we could between rain showers. Nice to have a complete change of scene, and we only got soaked once!
Found despite it being 'nestled' in nettles! The cache top is missing but the log is still dry and signable. TFTC

Out from our respective bases in MK and Bedford, Jenni Jay and I opted for a partial day in Welwyn for lunch between caches. Left a very clear trail to this one! Easy find but heavens the nettles are tall! Signed and replaced. No spare lid to hand, sorry. #278

We’ve got a similar tree near where we live, we call it the Owl Tree. When the kids were young we used to sit them on a long low branch where they used to ‘twit twoo’!

The cache was quickly located when I turned to look at Sarah. There’s no lid and the bottom had been nibbled, but the log was writable.Caching with 20Sarah19 so the log was probably signed as SSB. TFTC

Found it! Pretty easy find, found on the floor under the tree. Looks like it's been nibbled! Too wet to sign unfortunately, replaced where hint suggests. Tftc!??

I have increased the difficulty rating on this one as it’s still there but obviously people are finding it really hard to reach it.

Found a willow tree and hollow but nothing there

Repositioned, easier to reach

Son says it's a very comfy sitting tree, bit too many nettles here

Still there but needs a long arm and maybe little fingers to reach it!

It’s still there but you may have to dig deep and feel right down, small fingers may help but stay safe

Quick check and it’s definitely still there, well hidden but safe and sound.

The original container seems to have reappeared although lid is missing. Have removed this one and you are looking for a small container with new log sheet. Please replace carefully and use stealth.

I found a micro so not sure if it’s the original cache or the replacement. It’s defo not as the description states!!!!

Found on Monday afternoon having driven to the area to collect something and taken the opportunity to give the pooch a leg stretch in this field. Nice and easy to find, all in great condition. Took the Tb and signed the log sheet. Tftc

Skybluesbazza and I were staying in Welwyn Garden City for the weekend to see his grandparents. Today we decided to get out for a walk and had caught the bus over to Welwyn. This was a quick and easy find, thanks for placing.

Guiding Nutter and I were in Welwyn Garden City visiting my grandparents, and this morning had a few hours before seeing them. We headed to "Old" Welwyn for some caching. A quick find for us here. The mud was a bit squelchy here, but we are more than used to mud on our caching trips.

Found in the company of my geobuddy, very enjoyable walk with some nice caches to find, we met some lovely friendly people with their dogs, once we had located the cache the log was signed [:X]

Found in the fine company of my pink geo buddy [:X] JJB [:X].
It was nice to be back in the area on this chilly winters day in search of some more plastic pots.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit walking a couple of series and finding a few cache’s along the road which gave us a nice haul of finds.
This was the last of the series that we walked today although we didn’t have time to complete the whole series, we enjoyed walking half of the loop and look forward to returning to complete the remaining half in the near future.
A well hidden cache that we were pleased to have found quickly, we can imagine this one being surrounded by nettles in the summer so were pleased to have ticked this one off now.

Out today in the area doing some caches.
No problems here today after quite a search and battling the nettles,cache was replaced as found.

New log in place, hopefully secured

Found quickly but then had major issues trying to extract the log, which had unwound itself inside the container wider than the hole at the top and the piece of plastic which I assume was meant to be attached to the log came out on it's own. Couldn't even extract the log with a pair of tweezers so had no other option but to add a rolled up piece of paper which now sits on top of the original log. TFTC

This took longer than it should have done!
