Sure I looked everywhere and no sign of the cache. Definitely not where the GPS took me, or anywhere near there
Second visit to this site as last time there were muggles. Placed back in the same location
I am currently visiting Wickham/Roebourne on a geocaching trip
Today I am having a RDO and set off early in the morning to Dampier
I logged a couple of caches on the way into town and then
I continued on a drive around the town
My next stop was a lookout over the town and bay
This was a quick easy one in the obvious spot

Out and about again on our second day in Dampier
After a mixed day yesterday with a few DNFs we are hoping for a better day caching. The scenery mind you is magnificent and should get better as we travel out the Burrup Peninsula. Our first for the day, and a good start with a nice quick find.
Took some pictures of the magnificent coastline as well as reading the info boards.

All good, checked in on the cache today and someone had not replaced it properly or muggles moved it. Found it close by. Cache has been restored to its original location.
Took me a little while as my GPS kept changing its mind, but i got there in the end! Luckily no muggles around so I could look as suspect as i wanted to
With so many caches around the area we decided to spend two nights here and have today to explore Karratha and Dampier without the camper trailer on the back and a very pleasant day was had indeed.
We pulled up here and with the sun behind us the salt heaps out in the distance were a vivid white making for a nice back drop. Fortunately we were the only ones admiring this vista so we set about locating the cache. Again the cache was found right where the GPSr was pointing and the log book now contains our name.
Once everything was back in place we headed across tot he telescope and it was only through this that we realised the conveyor was adding more salt to the heap and you could clearly see it running off the end and with the naked eye we could just make out some sort of machinery in the distance, definitely worth having a look through the.
Thanks DieOosthuizens for the cache.

First one of the day. I like the hint! Love the view from up here - worth a photo or two!
This cache situation gave a good view of the local area. There were no muggles around to hinder the hunt so the container was found quickly. Wrote our name on the log, replaced all as it had been found and we were off to continue the hunt for caches around Dampier. Thank go to DieOosthuizens for this placement.
We are born & raised Dampierians, also new to GeoCaching so really enjoyed this one
Day five of Barnzy12 and Cravo10 adventure to the Northwest of WA, filling out boots with LGAs, rare DT, old caches, and good old fashioned red dirt!
Today we had an easier day planned with not so much driving! Staying around the township of Karratha, we had a nice sleep in and then warmed the car up on the way to Dampier to pickup a couple of caches on the way to meeting local cacher grandadbazza at the same location as dimor recent event.
We had a crack at the archived cache nearby but couldn't get it from its hides hole so left it alone even with a previous finders assistance, after a good chat with Barry we parted ways to collect some very rare virtual caches around the burrup peninsula and some semi off road caches including an earth cache.
We were about two thirds of the way through out Dampier caching run when notifications came through for a new multi not too far away, so we completed the 4x4 duties and then backtracked all the way to the red dog statue and claimed a very swift FTF some 1200km from home. Special thanks to dimor for a well put together multi that was simple enough for us simple minded cachers.
We then continued along the plan collecting as many caches around Dampier as possible, with some not attempted due to the extreme heat and the amount of caches hidden ontop extremely hot rock piles which have burnt my hands enough this trip.
We finished up on the Dampier area after seeing my favourite little island around sams island, such a wonderful spot just a hop skip and jump from he shores of Dampier.
After lunch we collected a few more smileys around Karratha before heading to Roebourne, Wickham and point Samson to collect all the smileys in those towns to make tomorow Journey a little easier, as we now only have to detour to Cossack on the small ish drive to port hedland.
A huge day out collecting 3 virtuals, heaps of traditionals, several multis, a puzzle and an earth cache. Full on day for caching finishing up around 8pm with some take away atop a small lookout hill.
Looking forward to heading to Port Hedland tomorrow via Cossack, Whim Creek and a few other sights!

On the way home I got the camera out and started taking some photos of the sun setting "the famous Pilbara sunset" trying to remember all the settings to get a great photo

Another smiley added here today on a 5 week Pilbara and Kimberley break, as a child growing up in the Pilbara, this is my old stomping ground, thanks for the memories and TFTC
Out and about exploring Dampier with CAD - cache by cache ... Thanks for the trip down memory lane T4TC:)
Back visiting Dampier our home for many of the years we lived in the Pilbara. Not much has changed up here but the installation of the telescope is definately something new. We used to have a multi cache that started at the nearby shelter, we wondered whether we actually removed the final cache and contemplated trying to find the spot we had hidden it but without internet to access our final cords didn't really know where to look.
We acted like tourists until a couple of other tourists left then we swooped in for the find. A bit more sight-seeing and we was off to find another cache.
thanks DieOosthuizens

I headed for the crows next next
No one around,
until after I found the cache.
Oh I hate that !!
You find the cache,
and try to sign the logbook fast as possible,
before anyone turns up and ...
... damn !! [:o]
Now I gotta wait until this mob a muggles get tired of the view and leave !!
Or do I ??
I saw me chance, dropped me sunglasses, and tried to put the cache back in place ...
... it wouldn't stick !! [:o]
So I was stuck [:o)]
Which is not all bad I 'spose.
It gave me an excuse to look at this delightful view out over Dampier and the Pilbara coast for a bit longer
Muggles left and I found out why I couldn't get the cache to stick
Only one place it will as it turned out
TFTC and views on a sunny day [^]

West Australia 2016 trip. Day 11. Today I spent the morning caching around Karratha and Dampier before spending the afternoon resting. The evening was an event to celebrate the leap day. My first day without long driving on this trip.
Thanks.

Another one to Kyan!! Great spot for an evening drink to watch sunset! Next time we're off to boat club for dinner!
We came down to check out the beach and thought we would also grab a couple of caches while we were here
A nice view from up here. The cache was easily found, looks like someone has had fun writing in the log but not bad as they used pencil so will be able to write over it
TFTC and bringing us to this great lookout
