The youngest Ez boy wanted to do some MTB riding today so we decided to have a wander around Nail Can, a wander that turned into 6km.
The Ez boys and Mrs H had found this cache in 2016 but we never logged it. We’d written in pencil and because the cache has been wet anyone who signed in pencil has disappeared. So we signed today and decided we should log it this time. Thanks for taking this one on TheWins after the passing of khanman.
A cute cache.

Tftc Thewins5. A couple of mornings to spend in Albury. From the motel room, sussed out a group of caches in a nice setting so began a 5.5 k walk commencing just before sunrise. Managed to get 5 of 5.
This, the first, needs a new bag to house the log which is actually getting eaten.
Last gnome find was at Gnomesville, south of Perth about 2 years ago.

We easily found this lovely cache and were mystified as to what has been eating the bag.
See our photos.
Unfortunately we didn’t have a replacement one with us. However, it was all nice and dry inside. It’s a mystery how an animal could get in there!

Out visiting family from the UK and doing some caching with big brother Pprime. Today was our Nail Can Hill day. We had done some puzzle solving so had a few to collect although sadly a couple we could not crack. We had convinced the geomum to get up before the birds and drop us the other side of the hill with the plan being to come down Range Rd when we were done which leads us right to home. I am not a fan of up and very slow so we set off on the hike while still dark to get to the top then walked north to the Isolation cache where we started the hunt with the early morning light and then moved south and to the east.
We were definitely on the way down now and pleased with how much we got done. This was a short walk off the main track and like its twin cache I spotted a gnome like home place and there he was. Said hi to this fella too, his bottom isn't secure anymore and it is allowimg creatures in, something that likes eating plastic baggies and logs it seems as there were munch signs but the log is still dry and functional currently.
Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find!!

Enjoying a walk in the bush after work and grabbing a few caches along the way. Never been to this part of the ranges thanks for bringing me here!
A beautiful sunny day so we decided to go for a stroll along Nail Can from this end to the tip end, with a car at each end to make it easier....well, that was the plan anyway...but that is a whole other story...
Anyway, back to the action.
With a break in the push bike riders, we ducked over to this one to find the amusing cache and sign our lives away in the log book. It seems that some little furry creature has been chewing on the ziplock bags, but the log book is still dry.
On a lighter note, we had a now archived cache very close to here years ago with the same theme and cache container.

The start of a hike finding caches on a section of Nail Can that l needed to turn to yellow. Couldn't have picked a better day to take on this section of the hill. The wild flowers were out in force and there was green grass abound. Birds and bees were busy doing their thing. But something is missing. What could it be? Something tall dark and handsome perhaps? No such luck! I am talking about my partner, who let me log these caches under my single profile. But don't worry, l will drag him up this glorious range soon, because life is better when you are out and about caching with your partner. Please accept this as a generic log. There was no issues with the caches, bar one, and l contacted the CO's about the issue. So thanks to: zachboris, Thewins5, hamfamily, dani_bee and team mvb. To "P" from Thewins5, l got to meet 2 of your colleagues along the way. The only sad part of my journey is there was very little water flowing down the falls.
#4170 Enjoying a walk in the Reserve in the sunshine today, we came across this happy chappy soaking in some rays. A bold hide here that seems to have lasted quite well. Thanks to the Thewins5 for keeping this one going.
Car in getting a service so what better way to spend the time than a bush walk and a few caches. TFTC Thewins5. Bottom of container is broken.
Enjoyed this unique container!
A little disappointed not to meet the cache guard ... that would be an impressive bonus for those who encounter it.
Early season wildflowers providing plenty of joy today on the hill. Some of the first native bees also out, seeking the flowers and each other.
Thanks for the hide and the song khanman47.

Cute guardian... rain got us, we headed in but happy yo have found another cache .. tftc
What a cool cache! Compass was a bit shaky but once it re-calibrated we were well on our way to our 178th find! Loved the container! TFTC
Found this one during a Nail Can Hill reptile walk with Friends of Nail Can Hill. Had to explain the game to a couple of kids who found it while scurrying around the rocks looking for lizards. Great spot on a sunny morning. TFTC!
Found on a fantastic winters afternoon with AAJETS, walked from a nearby carpark and hiked up the hill. Almost at the GZ we met up with a third caching team with whom we had a nice chat. The kids loved the cache containers, we signed the log and continued onward. Thank you for the cache and the walk. 4 Adults & 8 children had a fantastic walk.
Been looking at this one and another for a while and thought today was a good day to go for a little walk. Arrived at gz and found this one hiding away.
Down to Albury for a mere 48 hours, but managed to sneak out this afternoon for two of them. Up the hill to this spot for a quick find. Cute.
Thanks for placing this cache, khanman47. Found in good condition.

Came up to Nail Can early in the cooler morning hours to start the day with some caches. This was the third one and actually found by my muggle mother-in-law! She loved it. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Finland!
Came here to log the trig, and found this too. Lots of wildflowers to enjoy. TFTC khanman47.

2673 9 of 25 for day 5 of the Mega weekend with Tankengine & mtrax.
Day 5 of the Surfcoast Mega road-trip to Anglesea. This was the home stretch from Albury to Canberra. We spent about 1/2 a day caching in Albury before hitting the road at 14:30. Fortunately the weather was much improved over the previous day. Occasional showers held us up at times. We found some interesting spots, some that stand out include the old railway station with it's Victorian era covered platform as well as the 'wetlands'. The journey home was marred by occasional showers that seemed to coincide with our scheduled cache stops.
In in all a great road trip. Thanks to my company: mtrax & Tankengine for guiding me though my first Mega trip.
We can't come to Albury without visiting Nail Can Hill. We spent a good while here today grabbing a few caches.

Came down from Canberra with Mtrax and Strangetrousers (and half the other Canberra cachers it seems ) for the Anglesea mega event, and naturally did a whole lot of caches around here as well! Today, on our trip out, it was wet and rainy... But we still managed to find a fair few, and see some interesting places! This one was chockers full of slugs and slug poo - yuck! Thanks KM47.
Out here early this morning, for a big morning a caching. This was the second find of the day. Grabbed this one as the sun was rising. Beautiful spot up here. TFTC. Nice cache container!!
Nice hide, I am amazed it has not be seriously muggled, enjoyed looking at the unique wild flowers up here
Saw this as I walked in to the location from the main road, nice to see something a hit different. We dropped of a few swaps and then were off
Clever little cache. I kind of knew what I was looking for after the last one a few months back. Cache in good condition despite all this rain. Thanks.
