Looked and looked but no luck. Not my day for finding caches as couldn't find the next one along here either and then the last one had a seal lying at GZ. Will be back maybe next year to have another go.
Out on an attempt to cache Moeraki clean of unfounds today. Spent ages here looking and looking both going down and coming back up from the end of the track. Sadly nada and that ruined my chance to clean out Moeraki.[xx(]

What a spectacular start in 2024. We had a wonderful 5 weeks trip around New Zealand South Island - Te-Wai-Pounamu. We saw a lot of fantastic places, met a lot of so friendly, relaxed and helpful people. The nature is gorgeous beautiful for me, I love it During our trip we also found some geocaches and saw very nice places also off the beaten tourist tracks. Here we saw no penguins, but the walk was nice and the view fantastic TFTCcassandra07
We are going out to explore our world. Find new and special places around the world not only where we live. Therefore it was a pleasure to find your cache.thanks to drawp for the cache.########################TFTChsErich
No yellow eyed penguins unfortunately but at least scored another cache, tftc!
14:59 So far the only wildlife on the walk has been a cow Easy fond here. I predict that the string attachment will break in the future. Maybe someone could tie on an extra one or use a cable tie or something to ensure the cache stays tethered.Kia ora! Paldies! Thanks for the cache, drawp!#10171
We haven't been here for years. There was a side track to a hide where you could watch the penguins at that time and the place was open 24 hours. Still a wonderful lookout. TFTC
We tried to spot yellow-eye penguins but we weren't successful. We saw several fur seals and we managed to do the cache and give grass to the cow. TFTC
We are on our way home from a caching adventure in Dunedin. Staying at the Red Barn and had planned to do this walk and caches before heading home. What a great walk and views. Thanks for this cache drawp.
Yay! TFTC! I came all the way from Vancouver BC Canada to find this cache! Lol. Thanks for being part of the adventure!
Visiting the area for a short break. . With a few caches to provide the cherry on top. TFC
I've been out on this point many times, but years ago, it has certainly changed, dodging muggles we nabbed the cache, signed and returned. TFTC!

We are from Abilene, Texas, USA and have come to New Zealand to visit with a friend. We have gotten ten different Cache Types and will get the 11th Type (Webcam) when we go to Christchurch on Monday. Today Bitsprayer is taking us out to find more caches around Oamaru.
Thank you, drawp for placing this cache for all to find. We sign log sheets either as Love Cachers or LCers.
Driving over 50 miles to have...
Rusty barbed wire ripping through your clothes...
Curious rattlesnakes that come out of nowhere...
Itchy mosquito bites on every inch of your body...
A 40 mph wind gust blowing sand into your ears, nose and mouth...
Cactus needles getting stuck deep in your hands, arms and legs...
Thorny Mesquite trees scratching you up from head to toe...
Some or all of these things on a hike through 101° heat...
To sign your name or trade a toy...
SOUND LIKE FUN TO YOU?

spent 6 great weeks in New Zealand with my ?? The start was a bit bumpy (Cyclone Gabrielle) but then it got better and better. We travelled to both islands and discovered a lot. We photographed and filmed many beautiful things, but most of it stayed in our hearts.Almost everywhere we stopped, a cache was already waiting for us. Most of the caches are well maintained and easy to find. With mostly very nice weather, we saw a lot of this impressive island. In many places, caches were waiting for us, which were sometimes easy and sometimes difficult to find. This cache was also included and was successfully signedWe puzzled a lot in advance and the tours ?? were well prepared So this box was also well found.now I have another on my personal cache card.many thanks to [^] **drawp** [^] for the effort and the cache and greetings from Germany ???? Found this one on our walk . No pinquins to be seen. Thanks for showing us this place.
Seeing that I was in Moeraki this morning doing the AdLab and when I had completed it I decided to try to locate and sign off these caches along Lighthouse Rd.
Time to go for walkies now. It was the second fence I checked out.
Cheers for the cache.

On my campground in Moeraki I saw a info about Katiki Point. Was driving there and it was amazingly good. Was there at 11AM and again at 3PM and saw a lot of seals and also in the afternoon two penguins. That was much better than at the Otago Peninsula.
Thanks a lot.
Thanks a lot.
Holidaying in NZ. We came to see penguins but only got seals. The cache was a bonus
A nice quick find today. I'm glad I wasn't the only cacher having troubles. Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I are off on a wee drive to Invercargill and back. Today we made it as far as Owaka, very windy in places and it got hotter the further south we went.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are now parked up in Oamaru, for a couple of days, with a couple of our Grandchildren … went for a drive to Moeraki to see the both the famous ‘Moeraki Boulders’ & the Katiki Point Lighthouse … thought it would be rude not to grab a few caches whilst in the area … found with no issues, log completed & successfully returned … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #2,075 for us.
Fairly straight forward find today. Great visit - plenty of seals and pups, though unfortunately no penguins.
A great day out with Frame Family. Lunched at the Fishwife - highly recommended. Found the cache on our way back to the car as fisherman muggles had stopped to rest when we walked down the hill. Appreciated the seat nearby. Tftc
Great day out with Kerynz around Moeraki and surrounds getting some caches and taking in the wonderful views, great wildlife and an amazing blue cod lunch! Very windy but otherwise lovely day. TFTC.
Went to see the penguins and decided to look for caches on the way. Thanks for putting them up!
Found on our way to light house but didn’t have a pen write in it. Saw a couple seals which was nice
TFTC. Just time for a wander out here before lunch - well not quite. I spend too long watching three very young seals playing in a sea pond under their mothers watchful gaze and so didn’t have time to get to the last cache.
Never mind I will come back for it.

Stage 2 of the OTMC Trotter's trip brought us to Katiki Point to see the sea lions and Yellow Eyed Penguins. Grabbed a couple of walk-bys along the way.

Found with StreetWalkerNZ on a day in and around Moeraki, Shag Point and further south. The day started with a little rain early on, then ended with more, but in between we were lucky to have a dry day .
We appreciated visiting here in good weather (which has made a change from the past few days!). Didn't take long to find. TFTC.

#19205. Short walk and a quick find. Enjoying exploring this area (first time we have visited). TFTC.
Found on the way back - log is completely full tho and I have no paper on me. TFTC
Eleventh day of a two week motorhome excursion, heading via the Coast to the l ower South Island, picking up a few caches along the way – 14 today. Travelling from The Catlins to Moeraki today. Headed out this way later in the day to see if any penguins were about. Didn’t spot any but saw several seals (sea lions?) both down below and up on the grass! Found the cache reasonably quickly. #3394. TFTC.
Well we are stopping to take pictures (love light houses), but so far no seals or penguins do we see
Did I tell you its raining heavily and the wind is blustery. Luckily we are all wrapped up, but I wish I had put on my waterproof overtrousers!
Walked along the fence a little bit, but eventually spotted the cache, and was signing the log. Thanks for the hide drawp, and for bringing us here

Dakotacats found this one while 4Clubs and I pretended to be taking photos. A quick find although it was made slower by all the muggles in the area. TFTC
After a yummy Christmas picnic lunch parked up at the whale memorial, we decided to take a walk down past the lighthouse. This was an easy find, although the constant flow of muggles made it a little challenging. TFTC
During our round trip on the South Island we searched and found some caches, this one was also there.
Here we made a little hike through nature, saw seals and birds and the children were thrilled how close the seals were. On our round we also searched and found the caches.
Thank you very much for this cache say

Vacations 2019 - Road trip trough New Zealand
With Geoesposa, this was my 50th anniversary. 16 days, 4200Kms and a few hundreds smilles after, i was sure i saw nothing....
I liked everything, the friendly and civilized people, the way the country works, the roads and especially the natural beauty of New Zealand.
I fell in love....
I decided to go back in 5 years, I easily see myself living my last days somewhere lost in any stunning scenery of this wonderful country.
With the itinerary studied at home, the caches were the ones that were in the chosen places, and a few used to stretch the legs. It was decidedly not the most important on this trip. Of all the visited, only half a dozen did not appear, all being in good health except two or three.
I will use this generic log, not for disrespect of the owners, but due to the amount of caches visited. Here the majority of caches serve to show something beautiful (as it should be), not giving importance to the container.
My thanks to all the ownwers who, allied to the natural beauty of the country, have made this vacation unforgettable.
