This cache had been passed/overlooked countless times so it was a surprise how easy it was to park and seek. A tad exposed in its hide but in excellent condition with kidlet swappables within. Signed and given an overlay of camo ... may it stay for a long future. TFTC Smile

I thought this one would be, as the cache name suggests, at Darcy Smith Oval ... it wasn't!
Crossing the road, I thought it would be where my GPS was pointing ... it wasn't!
Looking a little wider, I thought from the hint it would be hidden in one of a few places ... it wasn't!

But then I found it ... hidden in plain sight in a quite unexpected place. Thanks casper73 ... nice one!!

Yesterday was geohubby's birthday and his outing of choice this year was to go geocaching. We decided to hit the foothills of the Blue Mountains and enjoy the warmth of the mid-autumn weather.
With the light quickly fading and the lightening flashing in the distance we had a go at our last cache for the day. With a couple of DNF's I didn't have high hopes especially when the most likely location turned up empty. We were just about to give up when hubby looked at things from a different perspective and made the find. It was up to me to make the retrieval though. Signed log and returned cache before the next lot of muggles walked by.
All in all a very successful day. 18 finds out of 18 caches.

12-Apr-15
Apparently it's meant to be quite an easy find !! This makes me think it might have been stolen..

01-Apr-15
Has this been removed as an April Fools Day joke or did I just totally miss what others said was an was find? I am blonde after all...

I hope this cache hasn't been muggled!

Was nearby to a client this morning and had time for just one, and this one was it. I quickly noticed that it was yet another casper73 hide - I have done several of casper's hides over in the east recently.

I didn't even need the GPS/iPhone for this one as I headed over from the geo-mobile. The container was one I have also seen recently.

Thanks for hiding this cache casper73.

22-Nov-14
No pen in sistema oh well

I had to make a trip down to the Penrith area for a doctor's appointment, so took the opportunity to find and log seven of my 'unfounds' in the general area. It was 32 degrees at midday and I really appreciated the Blue Mountains temperatures by the time I was finished!

Stopped by here while taking 'the long way home' and quickly discovered this cache's rather bold hiding place.

All was OK and it seems to have survived for some time now. I added a bit more natural camo so that the container wasn't in plain sight.

TNLNLSL.

Many thanks to casper73 for the hide.

So, what do ya do when the M4 is jammed due to an accident? Your take an alternative route and stop to pick up a cache. "Hello Mr. Huntsman! 'Scuse me while I sign this log."

20-Oct-14
Been a bit busy as of late, and the recent weather hasn't included a cool blue sky day, more heat and rain, so the bush hasn't been a great option either. Guess it was lucky that this cache was published to keep me going then...
Was travelling eastbound on the GWH and pulled over almost directly opposite the cache. A 50m odd walk back lead me to an obvious spot where the cache was pulled from.
Made sure to cover up appropriately. Sometimes a simple cache like this is what you're feeling like. TFTC.

#2742- Having done six caches out Merrylands way today, five of which belong to Casper73, I was surprised to find that this new one too, such a long distance from the others, belonged to the same CO. Where the heck do you live? You certainly get around.
This one was and instant find- one of those ' aliens from outer space could spot it' ones. I wish you luck, but knowing how busy this park can be on weekends especially, I can't see it surviving too long with nosey, bored kids looking around. Thanks for the six of yours I did today.

I was glad to find this after work nice and quick.

It was about 11 o'clock at night when we found this cache. We'd been in Penrith to watch the production of Henry V. We'd noticed the publication earlier, but Harry was urging us into the breach, and in we went.

After the show we headed towards Old Bathurst Road and stopped on the side of the road. We figured wondered about foundem's multi which we did here years ago. It looks like it's gone. We stumbled across to this cache, iPhones in hand. We saw the obvious spot, and once more we were going in. Thanks

Bikerbuddy & I were in Penrith to watch Henry V at the Q. I checked my emails while we were waiting for the performance to start & saw this one had been published right on our route home. So at 11pm, on our way home, we made a quick stop to have a look for the cache.

We could only find one torch in the car, and we only had our iPhones to navigate to the cache, but we still made a quick find.

Thanks Smile

The Booo's found this cache,

FTF @ 6:33PM

We had just finished our shopping at the nearby supermarket when the email chimed on the phone. It was a new publication and the name was strangely familiar, a quick check and sure enough it was less than 200 meters away!!

Quickly finished packing the car wander over was rewarded with a deserted GZ, and easy find and a empty log book.

Thanks casper73 for placing this cache
