Logs
people can't seem to log this cache in the way intended so it is time for this one to go the way of the dinosaur.
It pays to read the description first but fortunately for us, this one no longer needs a drink, PHEW. Thanks for the cache and another great location.
Fortunately for us the H2O part of this is not in play anymore. After a warm stroll up the hill we were able to make our mark in the log book.

A day of caching with pprass and Xambo4u. We had some 4wding fun earlier in the day up on top of the hill from the northern end and we were now making our way through some of the lower areas picking up caches as we went.
Another cache that unfortunately has seen better days. Can't understand why it's so difficult to do a cache the way it's intended instead of brute forcing it like this one and spoiling it for future cachers. At least the log was in good condition. Great spot for the hide though Wozzle68, thx again for hiding interesting caches here.

Found at 1:00 PM GAFF1 in the company of perpetuallylost and xambo4u.
Came prepared - but it was not required as someone busted it.
Thanks wozzle68.

Thanks wozzle68.
While camping at the dam with pprass and maccamob and Riddell joined us for a day of caching. With 4 x 4 driving and quite a bit of walking we made the discoverer. Nice easy find with plenty of water in hand. Not necessary at this point. Same that it has been damaged. Done this style before and enjoyed it. Thanks for the journey wossle68.
Came back, bought the correct accessories and found it. TFTC. Something a bit different
I wasn't attending the mega this weekend, so I thought the "Easter Escape" event at Mount Worth sounded like a nice day trip, so I planned to attend, and just see whatever happened thereafter. Out with au.fait to do some caches in the reserve. She had plenty of H2O and a couple of containers to transport it to GZ. I did my part while she poured. Cache retrieved without a problem.
Thanks for the cache, wozzle68.
Thanks for the cache, wozzle68.
After the nearby relaxing event Muzza and I set off to gather as many nearby caches as we could signing about another 2 dozen. For once we read the instructions before arriving at GZ, so armed with a goodly supply of the wet stuff skirted the campers and headed uphill. A great fun cache and so glad I was not attempting this solo. Another favourite point TFTC wozzle68
Well this was a lesson for young player. Always read the description on the cache before setting of. It wasnt so much that we didn't find the cache, more that we couldn't retrieve it. We will be back.
We were between Talbot & Clunes scouting a potential new cache location and remembered there had been a couple of caches not yet logged by us in Mt Beckworth that might be accessible in our low XR6 so off we went and managed them with very minimal issues. We started up the other side but came across a rather large puddle so aborted.
A nice quick find here with boo09 & neisha07. We had come prepared (well started the walk prepared anyway, the previous 10 minutes was spent going through the car & boot for old water bottles. We could have filled the thing 3 times over! Haha)
Having done a few of these type before and with a well executed cache construction, we had no issue accessing the container. We always enjoy this type.
I had used my hand to help it along and when I let go it squirted a lot further than predicted, managing to get all 3 of us wet. Oops!
TFTC wozzle!

Haha.....yep, "geocaching makes me wet"!! A fav point from me!
Woo hoo, I got to do Mr Beckworth with the fabulous CO himself.....I feel very privileged as it was a super awesome day filled with cool driving tracks and lots of walking. [^]
Well what an unexpected wonderful adventure this week turned out to be! I was meant to be in Alice Springs, but plans needed to change, so a relaxing trip to Victoria was the go.
Wozzle68 and I buddied up, and we ended up being great travel companions [^]....OMG, so much laughter , loud music [^], off-key singing and fun was had [:o)] [^]. We also teamed up with ChooknChunk and travelled in convoy to attend Mildura for '3 States in a Day' caching and events. What a great 4-some we made [^]....certainly brilliant dynamics [^], fabulous conversations [^] and loads of giggles [^]. I then stayed in Ballarat for a few days which was great fun.

Oh the caches today keep getting better and better today! After a quick sprint back to the car we soon had this entertaining cache in hand and log signed. Returned carefully. Thanks so much for this one, and all the fun!
Enjoying a day out with boydclan123 she knew this one needed some attention so l had my necessary tool while she had her required tools . Teamwork soon had cache in hand love this kind of hide there was lots of laughing at this one
Joined up with Na'wal and DAB to spend the day caching around Ballarat and Mt Beckworth. I'm glad we stocked up with fluids as as the temperature soared. With the long dry grass we were weary of snakes.
We had plenty of H2O but on such a hot day it was a pity to waste, but I guess the flora is greatful for a little extra. With the team work the cache was found, Signed and replaced as found.

Today I was in the company of Ausfox; and Na'wal. There had been a bit of chatter about Mt.Beckworth recently, so we decide to give this series a crack. I had never been here before, so I was really looking forward to it. We knew it was going to be warm and even though our phones said it was 31 degrees, it felt a lot warmer than that by early afternoon. Apart from a couple of walkers around the back of the mountain, we had the whole area to ourselves. A novel idea, which I has seen before. Unfortunately, some-one has been a bit rough with the hide. It could use a bit of TLC. TFTC wozzle68

Today was planned with a cache trip to Ballarat and the Mt. Beckworth area for another geocaching adventure. DAB, Ausfox and myself met early, packed the geo vehicle with plenty of drinks as we knew today was going to be a hot day and we were on our way. We made it to our destination for the day and were greeted with a very hot Mt. Beckworth. Plenty of tall, dry grass which would have been a snakes paradise but thankfully none were seen. When we saw the name of this one, we didn't really want to do away with our supply, but thankfully we had enough between us. A very thirsty cache that someone must have gotten frustrated with as part of it has been broken, but still secure. Stamped and replaced as found.
**Thanks for placing this trad cache and series wozzle68**
**Cache container and log in good condition**

I'm generally not one for long-winded logs; I'm happy to read them but not type them myself. However, today's adventures... I'll let you decide! Being school holidays, and with a cooler day forecast, I was surprised to find myself childless. Not that they hinder my caching adventures - I just go on my own! I felt Mt Beckworth beckon, and soon found myself on the road, fully prepared with food, water, sunscreen, a pen and sensible walking shoes. Knocked the first two caches over pretty quick, then decided to attempt an unloved at the top of the hill. In fact, it was a 1.1km walk to said cache. But that's a different story. As it was, I passed H2O on the way, and felt the water was more important for the hike than the cache. And I was coming back. Which I did, to a flat battery. Great! Fortunately, the car was still unlockable. But the battery was almost dead on my phone, and although I had a portable charger, I had no lead. So much for being prepared! However, there was more water in the car - enough for H2O! So after making a hasty call to RACV, I returned to the cache and retrieved the log. And drowned a few ants in the process. And when the RACV arrived, he did ask what I was doing out there, alone. So I explained, as you do, when you find yourself in this kind of predicament! Well worth it, as we all know. And yes, the car started first go. Must remember the jump pack next time too...
As we had met the conditions for the Scrabble Challenge, we had a visit to this area on our itinerary for today. We added some other caches to justify the length of the drive. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find of a well constructed and fixed cache container. We then used the water we had brought with us to retrieve the cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Then we took our fingers off the tube and promptly got a good spurt of water on our clothing. Thanks wozzle68 for the cache and for bringing us to this area. It earns a favourite from us for the construction.
Well this was going to be a big day for Suscoe.
Up early and off with long shadows stretching across the ground in the early morning.
A sunny day with the temperature around 30 degrees during the afternoon was going to be warm but thankfully a breeze sprung up during the morning and kept going all day and so it cooled Suscoe down at times when it was most needed.
This was the 23rd find of the day.
Suscoe came prepared.
Well that was certainly different!!!!
Thanks to Wozzle68, a favorite for the laughter.

TFTC. Out for the day with the GeoFamily and half of Clan McStormy to conquer the Beckworth Beckons Series, cache number 5.
The GeoRetrievers had a ball getting this one but luckily nobody went thirsty afterwards.

Spent the day out with Yogster, Jageredwings and families. Had 5 Retrivers with us and the all had a ball. Thanks for the hides Wozzle.
We are on a road trip to attend "The Melbourne Event" Mega, taking our time to get there and on the return journey. Fortunately, there were lots of caches along the way to tempt us to stop for a while to smell the roses. This was one of those caches.
We had made our way to Ballarat to attend the GIFF Event and having been told about another event to be held at Mount Beckworth, we decided we would attend that one to and find the nearby caches. After spending time with everyone at the Mount Beckworth event, we headed off on our cache hunt, but we soon caught up with others along the way.
Thank you wozzle68 for having placed the cache for everyone to enjoy

Found after attending a nearby event with GemmaSistema, this was certainly an interesting one, glad we had the required liquid, we were joined by a few others to make this find, and it was a team effort, geoson found this one interesting and also found it fun to make use of it to cool down. Thanks Wozzle68 for this one.
Found this cache with Gemmasistema,Cherad and co and a grate cache as well it was well done.

Found by Mary & David with Alansee at 1600. Parked not too far from the cache. Alan had come prepared with a plentiful supply, and we were soon at GZ. David sealed while Alan poured, and we had the container in no time at all. No matter how many caches we find like this, the novelty doesn't wear off. Our thanks to wozzle68.
A quick find after a short stroll today. I did the pouring while Maccamob ensured that it wasn't wasted.

Enjoy caching with Shamus1, Everlasting and The Morris who drive us into the bushland.
After the nearby event the geokids and I decided to grab a few more caches. We also had cherad in the car so the three boys were happily amused for the most part. we arrived here to find everlasting, whitepaws, shamus1 and the Morris close by so we all headed up to grab this one together. We came prepared and cache was soon in hand and signed. A glorious day. Many thanks
Cool way to start our day! It was so funny when ajmanda moved her hand and Kenare got wet! Lol! Tftc
We found this one but not possessing the correct tools to retrieve it, we left it with intention to return another day, better prepared.
Everything seems in good order though.

We did not get wet do the near by mannor gum so thought we would temp fate and head off to this one while it was not raining.
If the picture on the cache page was any thing to go by this one would be better done on a day like this.
We got almost half way and remembered we had forgotten something very important so back we went and grabbed the refreshment.
At GZ all went as planned until we released, two out of three were now wet. but three out of three have there name in the log.
Again our thanks wozzle68 for these great and varying cache hides.

Well Wozzle you got me
I found the cache and didn't read up on the logs
At first I thought someone had taken the log but my phone torch told me it was in there
I couldn't devise any way to retrieve it with the little I had on me.
Not till I am back at home and logging the visit did I read up properly and discovered my stupidity.
I shall return later to sign log.

Another great hide wozzle68. I am fast running out of favourite points. Caching today with ST37E, Glanville Girls, Tomstache and Trubods.
I've seen this type before but not as well executed as this one. It was a lovely walk up to GZ trailing ST37E (He walks fast). Luckily we had brought just enough water to retrieve the log. Thanks Wozzle68. Another favourite added.
This was a decent walk up the hill, but well worthwhile. We love these types of caches - and this was no exception. Very clever. TFTC Wozzle68
Got up here today for a maintenance run before the nearby event and fixed this on up. You will need to bring at-least 1lt of water to satisfy the thirst of the cache. There is a lid on top of the tube please remember to replace it when you are done, thanks.
Things are pretty busy at home at the moment as we start to pack up prior to our big move. There are lots of things to do....and I really don't feel like doing any of them. Therefore it seemed a lot more sensible to load up the ute and go caching.
I have been wanting to give the Mt. Beckworth caches a crack for a while now, so it seemed like no time like the present. With the cloud cover, the GPS was all over the shop (talking to someone else who was caching elsewhere at the same time they were having the same issues), however a bit of geosense soon got me over the line.
I got up to the cache after walking past the eerie fire and the neatly cut firewood (all seemingly abandoned) and I was about 7 steps from the cache and I swore. I realised that I was at least 1kg too light. I had forgotten to read the description in full. As I halted and caught up on my reading I noted that there was an issue with the cache at the moment, as described by the CO, so all was good today.
Log signed, TFTC

Mr Morris went up the hill and forgot his pail of water. Fortunately he didn't need it - as the CO has indicated all is not quite functional at the moment. This was the last in the series for us and time to head home. Thanks for all the variety - we enjoyed our weekend.

The cache holder is not as it should be but the log is still able to be signed. no water needed at the moment.
Slow hot walk up the hill where I was ready for the cache reaction. Made sure I was ready to collect the container but forgot to step out of the way when I released my tools.
Only got a little wet.
The log is very wet and has been scrunched in. Found a space to make my mark before heading back down.

I was actually rather glad I toted 2 litres up the slope as with just one of me I had to do a bit of multi tasking at the cache site. I only have so many sets of hands. Luckily the cache bobbed up as I was running out of juice. I was so excited to grab it that I let go of the other hand and got nicely wet for my trouble.
The cache log is rather wet and I could barely scratch my name onto it. Probably needs a plastic bag.
Thanks Wozzle

Wow what an outstanding collection of caches – variety, surprise, fun and ingenuity all around Mt Beckworth! We had a great day working our way around the series with our caching pals Ian & Penny.
We took 2L of H2O, so there was some for us and some for the cache!

We thoroughly enjoyed our cache run today, it took us to some wild and wonderful places - and the scenic views from some spots were absolutely stunning despite the rain. We definitely wouldn't have found all these wonderful places if it weren't for our obsession.
We awarded this cache a favourite point for the ingenious construction.

Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.

Found this series with Sully1 and Tessie the geodog on a warm day here in Central Vic.
A great series with a variety of clever and tricky hides that is definitely not a walk in the park.
This was a nice hide, found after the short walk from the carpark.
Took the necessary item to help extricate it, and we were on our way
Thanks again Wozzle68

Bogonghazy and I walked to here from our previous DNF, armed with the necessary goodies to coax out the cache. A nice walk up the hill, although it was now gone 17:30 and I was getting weary. Having done a lot of these hides now over the years, we knew exactly what we needed to do once at GZ. Tess the GeoDog got the recycled requirement after the cache was signed and returned. The walk done was much more enjoyable than the uphill one. Thanks wozzle68, adding another fave for effort here as well, really enjoying our day up here, and the variety of hides we've encountered.
Used my first supply of geo-fluid and the cache stayed stuck to the bottom of the tube, grrr!. Back to the car and returned with an extra supply of geo-fluid for take two. This time up bobbed critter and was able to sign log. Nice work wozzle68 TFTC.
# 7120. Robmc and I left Williamstown at 7.00am headed for the new series at Mt Beckworth. After reading a few logs saying how long they took and the trickiness of some of the hides I was filled with dread. Especially seeing the first simple one of the series was a DNF on the way in, after a very long search.
We are certainly feeling the heat by now and it is still only 9.40am. Up the hill we trudge armed with the necessary equipment and luckily Rob was dexterous enough to keep things in place whilst I attended to the other end of the task. All good and the cache was in hand and signed. I always enjoy these types of hides.
Thanks wozzle68

Worked a 12 hour night shift then picked up my chauffeur, and we drove straight to Mount Beckworth (when I say we, BettyBoo3747 did all the driving, and I did all the snoozing!)
We arived about 9am and spent about 5 hours (including lunch), travelling around doing the Beckworth Beckons series. An excellent collection of caches with quite a bit of variety.
I would have thought this should have been a unknown type, but we had read the description so we came prepared.
I have got a bit damp with this type of cache before so I carefully did my bit while BB poured.
We were glad we had extra because it too quite a bit, and it was a very warm day.
Thanks, Robmc.

I have got a bit damp with this type of cache before so I carefully did my bit while BB poured.
We were glad we had extra because it too quite a bit, and it was a very warm day.
Thanks, Robmc.
As we were walking up to this one we noticed cars have been driving as far as they could being lazy. Please stick to driving paths only so not to interfere with vegetation and animal habitats.
A great cache and walk but boy one of us is unfit lol
Luckily we had enough h2O to get our hands on the cache and sign.

Find No. 740. Found with FUF009 at 11.40am
With FUF009 and our Geo dog Penny, we all headed off for a day's caching to do the Beckworth Beckons series which is a relatively new trail put out by Wozzle68 who we met for the first time at our events in October.
Had a hike to this one with a good result. Like the variety the day is offering so far.
Penny even got a drink at this one.

After making a decision to spend the day caching together, I hitched a ride with Tyred n Cranky and their Geo dog Penny down to do this relative new series of caches.
Mr tyred n Cranky being the fittest of us, made it up to GZ quite quickly, but by himself he couldn't get the cache out and when I finally got to GZ he had damp shoes. but we had enough water for a 2nd go to grab the little container from it hide.

Although to some extent we did not read all the cache notes before hand, we had enough water bottles from the esky to complete this challenge. In some ways it was water in CITO out.
At least this should not get muggled too easily.

Out on a caching day with Fergzter, we came prepared for this one and it was a great cache to start the day with. TFTC.
Out geocaching with LionJRB today and we decided to hit up this new series at Mt Beckworth. A very pleasurable afternoon albeit very hot. We found out later that it got over 30 degrees which accounts for why were really feeling exausted about half way through the series.
We came prepared for this hide having figured out what was required from the cache title. We almost didnt have enough but with some deft fingers LionJRB managed to coax this little hide out of its hiding place.
A great first find for us in this series. TFTC Wozzle68
