Did know about the last few DNFs but was walking in area so deciding to just double check everywhere I could and have a feeling with the rubbish that’s there it was found by muggles ??
Freeing up the spot for anyone keen to place another cache in this wee reserve.
All I could find was trash. A lot of energy drink cans, some plastic and rexona bottle. Makes me sad how people litter
I feel like I have looked for this before but today I had a bit of free time before picking up my parents at the airport. Nice sized container
We were out this morning getting a few caches in the area. Mrs C really wanted this one as her first name is pronounced the same but spelt very different being Dutch. Was a fun find, thanks for the cache silverfern7.
I( found this little walk through path thanks to my tom tom which i used constantly in chch while we visited there.
We went down to Chch to visit our son and see the new house and while we were there i was able to locate a few caches and complete lab caches as well.
the cache was easily found once i got to the little spot and so it was soon signerd and returned to its hidey hole. I took nothing and left nothing,

Visiting Christchurch from Wellington for the weekend and have a few hours to spare, so a caching I will go. Quick find here as described, TFTC
Good cache while walking the dog. Plastic bag needs to be replaced and pen a bit dodgy. Have put new swag in as was empty. TFTC
Another weekend in chch and trying to find a few caches as we go from appointment to appointment. This was our first for today. Very grateful it had not been raining or gk might have been very wet after finding this one. Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley
During our round trip on the South Island we searched and found some caches, this one was also there.
Thank you very much for this cache say

Had to wait a moment and stall whilst a Muggle Gardner sprayed weeds, but eventually found this. Only missed a fellow cacher by a wee while. Simple, but great hiding spot!
We followed the GPS to the GZ and with the helpful additional hint we soon had the log book signed. TFTC
Our journey to the most beatiful, for us others, end of the world to New Zealand we have long planned and the anticipation was great. We had a wonderful holiday, came here and could log in the logbook. Thanks for the cache and best regards. Our last find in New Zealand.

A quick find for us today, on a beautiful sunny afternoon. TFTC, silverfern7!
I'm in Christchurch with my wife who is undergoing surgery in Christchurch Hospital and what better way to take my mind on what's happening to her than to go geocaching. I was actually down here with her about a month ago for a similar operation and it was then doing the Thompsons Track crossed my mind. I passed on it then, but when I mentioned it to a fellow cacher back home, he said to get in fast as the CO is about to archive them due to the high maintenance burden. I wonder if he has considered adopting them out.
WooHoo I've recently finished it. It took me 6h 40m with an average of 5m 30s each cache if you include the three DNF's I looked for. Not a record breaking event but I'm happy considering I was flying solo. Found 70, DNF'd 10, but in retrospect the stats should have read 71/9. My best day so far (previous was 60) and I'm not finished yet. I intend to head back to the city in time for afternoon visiting at the hospital picking up as many PnGs as possible and then go out in the evening to get enough for a century.
I decided to head out to the east of the city and work my way back to the hospital in time to visit Mrs Kiwimykl, then carry on towards the west until it got too dark or I got my century, which ever came last. After visiting hours at the hospital, it was my intention to work my way west from the CBD culminating in a find at the airport Virtual, but I figured it would be dark when I got there and I wasn't sure of the chances of getting the requisite photo in the low light conditions, so I went there first and will work my way back to town. I'm not sure looking for a cache in a playground on a sunny Sunday evening in the middle of the school holidays is a good idea, but there was no one else here so I made a QEF PnG.

Found this was a great to find log is dsmp but still able to write in thanks heaps
Ohh to nip off work to get a geocache maybe not a good idea with velvet pants
[#4537] Today is our last day in New Zealand after having toured 4 weeks in total on both the North and South Island. We have visited lots of beautiful places and sites, but there is still more to explore. The kiwi people are very open and interested. They also brew good beers, I have tasted about 40 of them (a small fortune). Main goal for today was to visit the only webcam cache in New Zealand with which I have found 9 cache types in this amazing country. I politely asked the workers if I could stand for ten minutes in front of their small truck facing the genius webcam from close distance, which was fine. After that we dropped a trackable nearby and headed for the airport. Thanks to all cache owners for making our visit even more fun and interesting.

Despite the poor weather I decided to go for a walk and get a couple of caches.
This was the second cache and ended up being my final before Lime'ing back to my accommodation to retreat to the warmth.
It was a fairly quick find in the third place I looked.

Almost forgot to log this one! On the way to the airport late Sunday afternoon (five days ago) and running a little ahead of time, so checked what caches were close to our route. This one was. Found it with little difficulty. #1924. TFTC.
Found earlier this year while on holiday in Christchurch with the family.
This was an amusing find with the geo-daughter... first we had to find the easiest way in, then we had to make sure we were going in the right direction!
We emerged victorious- albeit slightly wet, after the recent drizzle!
Thanks for placing- and apologies for the lateness of this log!

Finding some on the way home, well kind of on the way... Great spot for the cache, although the ratings may not be that accurate as a wheelie cacher would not be able to get this one even if s/he had the best accuracy to determine the right tree right away. TFTC!!
Quick easy find on my way home from work. Off home to dig out our kowhai as it has decided not to flower for the 4th year! Thanks for placing and maintaining the cache.
Took a while for the GPS to settle before heading to the correct tree. I like the kowhai too Maya. Tftc
My wife and I were over in New Zealand, tramping and touring around the South Island. We had a great time but sadly this was our last day, and we had to kill a few hours while we waited for our return flight back to Australia. To add to the sadness, it was also raining. Still - that's why they invented Geocaching!
We walked a big loop around the streets near our motel. Found them all and had a great time.
This was the last find after 24 days in New Zealand. Off to catch that plane.
Thanks for the cache, silverfern7

No trouble with the find and the other good thing is that no one going past would notice you crouched down in the undergrowth. TFTC # 12,062
I’m here for a week from Australia doing the great Southern scenic Trail. So far I have spent time in Queenstown, Te Anau, Bluff, Stuart Island, Invercargill, Dunedin and Timaru. Met the lovely locals in Airbnb’s. Today I’m heading to Christchurch for the flight home tonight.
Thanks for hiding this one!

Found with Dirtyhelmut on our last day in new zealand. On the way to the airport we stopped for some Geocaches. TFTC
Before leaving New Zealand Mel180 and me stopped on our way to the Airport for some quick Caches ! Thanks for them !

Found on a dog walk.
Such a small reserve!
Hopefully the inhabitants across the fence did not notice me lurking in the bushes right next to their property.
This is not exactly a T1 as mentioned before.

Still Cleaning up from the caching trip in October, Sorry for all the late logs
The (major road trip was about to begin) that was for the Oamaru Geofest trip in the company of HKCB and iammrwalker for a bit of a road trip across to the west coast, through Haast and in a roundabout way to Oamaru.
My trip stats were as follows: 617 caches (214 Puzzles), 3300kms, 500 litres of Petrol, 21 hours sleep, 100+hours caching time. THe weather was wonderful and apart from about a 6hour period on the sunday we had fine weather all the way and feel that we made a bit of a hole in the region.
Firstly thanks to all the CO's that put in the effort to to set up these caches and to all the CO's whose caches we did not find this trip, well we are already planning our next trip.
We worked hard at getting specific caches (especially the Geo Art around christchurch and hence our concentration on this area for the preliminary 24 hours. So after a couple of running repairs to the rental vehicle (fuses not working) we were off knowing that all ports could be charged and that sleep was for the weak.
Sorry about the copy and paste logs but that is what tends to happen with a number run of this size. What a day this was going to be and a chance to have a good look around the area. It was amazing to wake up after having afull nights sleep and not have that sand in the eyes feeling and sore back from sleeping in the back of a car. Starting the day off working our way along the coast, followed by a spot of inland caching before making it back to Oamaru for a bite to eat followed by a bit more caching.
this was the last of a few caches that we grabbed on the final morning of the tour. A real big thank you to all the CO's for the extrodinary effort that they have gone to to keep these caches maintained for the likes of us passing through.

Came down this way from the North for the Oamaru Geofest, and decided to add a few more days to the weekend trip and turn it into a bit of a Mega mission, starting 5pm on Wednesday 18th and finishing 3pm Monday 23rd! Teaming up with Cats&Dragons for the first 24 hours then with Iammrwalker joining the team for the remainder.
Just a few of the stats for the trip were:
- 700 caches found, including 270+ puzzles (thanks to the Christchurch Geoart)
- 3300 km's driven, using over 500L of fuel $$$
- Just over 20 hours of sleep (about 4 per day on average), and about 100 hours of caching time.
Certainly a Mega Trip!
Day 6: Time to head home but of course we are going the long way to visit the church at Mt. Peel and the Canturbury CANZ cache before heading off to catch the plane.
Grabbing a final few caches before heading to the airport, thanks for the hide.
Sorry about the cut and past logs, but that seems to happen with cache runs of this size!

I found this Geocache on a Geocaching mega mission along with Cats&Dragons and HKCB. With only just over three and half thousand Geocache finds I was very much the over achiever in training. We were in the South Island to support the Oamaru Geofest event, hunt down some Jasmar and D/T harder to find Geocaches, lonely caches (those not found in more than 6 months), virtuals and try and meet some milestone numbers. We signed the logs HIC, an abbreviation of our respective Geocaching names, (H)KCB, (I)ammrwalker and (C)ats&dragons. A huge thanks to all the CO’s who placed and maintain the Geocaches we found.
I arrived in Christchurch late Thursday evening having left straight from work and was picked up by my intrepid companions in our four wheel drive rental to find they had already grabbed about 270 finds in the previous twenty four hours. I wonder if the rental company would have still let us have it had they known we would travel 3300km in it before returning it four days later? Our trip took us to Greymouth via Arthurs pass, Ngahere, down the west coast to Haast across to Hawea, Cromwell, Twizel, Aoraki Mt Cook, Tekapo, onto the east coast up to Oamaru and back up to Christchurch via Akaroa and countless diversions and small towns along the way. We slept in the car for the first two nights, grabbing some shut eye between cache finds, taking turns to drive. We rented a small place in Oamaru for the other two nights and appreciated a bed to sleep in and a hot shower. It was an amazing trip, in which I discovered the South Island has some of the most incredible scenery in the world.

A few choices here, so started at one end and finally got my hands on it. Cheers
Team paddle chick and I are here in Christchurch for a few days visiting family as it is my granddaughters birthdays .We decided to do a little caching while we are hear.Tftc silverfern7
Cute wee park. Didn't take long. Left a TB in the bottom. TFTC. Probably a good time to do this cache is in Spring when the trees are covered in Yellow blossoms!
Did the annual trip to the dentist then allowed myself the joy of doing a cache. Came out of the bushes covered in grass seeds and hope no one was watching me in the bushes. TFTC
Now my pants look like been rolling around in grass after pushing my way through to the cache location. Luckily there is noone around to notice me
I'm on a 5 day caching trip in the south island. Have a few aims - Complete the Eclipse series out near Kirwee, and pick up a few specific caches that I need to complete my grid for a challenge - of finding at least one cache that was placed every month since geocaching was invented. 1800km later I can say I've accomplished my aim!

This is not a T1. I can't plough through dense, waist-high, grass-like plants so I have to DNF this one
Having a quiet day at the hotel before our last day in NZ. Decided to grab some nearby caches and this was one of them. TFTC
Down in Christchurch for a few days and enjoying finding some caches. We used this cache to introduce my sister-in-law (who is a school teacher) to geocaching. She was fascinated, and appears to be keen to join, so welcome aboard!! TFTC
Mr b took one for the team on this one. not a T1 cache as no way could get the wheelchair where the cache is!! Nice quick find. On our final day of an 11 day caching trip around the south island. Log signed as b&p.Tftc silverfern7. Find # 4063
A special find for Mr. Rex, as he is about to fly overseas for 3 weeks, during which time he will miss his daughter, Maia (who also loves kowhais) dearly. Still, there is a list of presents to bring back, so that will surely keep him busy Thanks very much for the cache.
In the area for business. Had some time to do a few caches, Challenging find at night. TFTC.
It's amazing how many little green spaces there are around Christchurch that I've never noticed before! A quick find. Log book was damp so replaced the ripped bag and put in a silica gel to try and dry it out. TFTC
Slightly damp now but trying for a streak so had to do it after missing a couple of multi with dnfs earlier in the day. Tftc
I work in the area so thought I'd walk down in my lunch break. A quick find thanks.
As the previous cacher we felt exposed as all houses have a good view to the spot the cache is hidden. But we managed to grab the cache without being caught.
I felt a little exposed when I entered this wee reserve. I soon figured out where the cache was, waded in, ducked down and signed the log. I was glad to see none was around when I popped my head up. Tftc.
Small diversion on the way back from the airport. Wood pigeons love these kind of trees.
Easy find in the rain on our departure day killing time before flight. Ong now I'm wet from the high grass (
Another wee Reserve we have never been to.All was quiet so had a quick find.TFTH
November in Europe, the dark month, neighter autumn nor winter: short days, rain, fog. Everywhere unlucky people.
But now we are in NZ. Early sunrise, mighty green and flowers everywhere. Happy cows and sheeps also. We delight look forward to such lovely challenge. Thank you NZ. Greetings from Germany, from the mountains of Harz. TFTC
