Logs

15-Jul-17
Not the best place for a cache as track keeps getting eaten away

26-Oct-16
Seems To Have Gone Probably From Flood Or Soemthing

24-Jul-16
A DNF while cycling the River Trail on a wild windy afternoon. We had a reasonable look but the cache eluded us. Perhaps its in the name. Its great to see the substantial growth of the natives planted along the trail. TFTC

29-Jan-16
No luck for us either, despite a fairly long search which turned up some likely spots. Maybe it needs checking?

25-Jan-16
No luck with this today.

19-Nov-15
After a pleasant walk along the riverside, we spent ages looking for this cache without success, using what we thought was the logical hint object. Eventually we changed our target, and the very well hidden cache was found. TFTC

27-Jun-15
Out and about at Waikanae with the reles going for a walk along the walkway and if there is a cache on the walkway I need to go look for it.

This was number two find for the afternoon and rele junior has decided he likes this geocaching thing. No muggles about and I see something which does not look quite right so sent rele junior in and he finds the cache. He passes me the log for signing then returned the cache to its hide.

Cache was in good order above the flood line - thanks for the placement.

31-May-15
Decided to stop past here on our way to Otaki. Nice walk here. Stopped nearby to throw some stones into the river. Thanks for the cache. Did with Mycro Man and the Fairy half.

Thanks for the cache. I found it on 23/04/15 at 4:24 pm. Didn't have a pen while walking the dog so will return another day to sign log.

05-Apr-15
Lots of muggles out in the Easter Sunday sunshine but we had this stretch all to ourselves. Tftc , nicely placed!

13-Mar-15
Went for a walk along this track this afternoon from the main highway, this was as far as I came. Accurate coordinates along with the good explicit hint made for a quick find. Signed log, TFTC

07-Mar-15
Had a couple of days staying in Paraparaumu and manged to get quite a lot of caching time. Fair bucketing down for a good portion of both days - hence some very very short logs in an attempt to keep the logs as dry as possible! Thanks for the caches, neat area to cache in.

#6025. Nice walk along the Waikanae River. Impressive rapids nearby due to the high water level today. The cache was a quick find. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log. Thanks for the cache.

Watch for prickles if you look in wrong place

Went hunting with wiggy1and2! Both got at least one prickle each :p

Find #2115. It's been awhile since I've cycle cached (or any caching actually) so made the most of this sunny Sunday by taking the first train to Waikanae and using the blustery N'west wind at my back to steer me home. It's always an enjoyable ride along the river track but plenty of joggers and cyclists to avoid. Quickly found, 2 of 23 today. SL TFTC

26-Nov-14
Quick find on a MTB ride of the bridge to bridge loop track.
Lovely day out but a bit windy

15-Nov-14
Found by team geocacher Mr. T. very quickly. We had a nice bike ride along the river to get to this spot. Tftc.

(FTF) with tylerdrummond at 7:10 this evening, our second of the day! We were just celebrating the triumph of finding the "Jim Cooke" cache after an intensive search when I noticed the email mentioning a new cache to be found. I followed the email's link and discovered it was just over the river. In my excitement I briefly considered wading straight through but the level heads of my companions pointed in the direction of the walk bridge so off we set for a riverside stroll. Cache was soon in hand and oh-yes a nice blank log sheet, my favourite kind! SLTFTC

(FTF) with Hamish.D at around 7.10pm today. There's no better way to finish and afternoon/evening of funfilled caches, than a FTF! Was slightly skeptical of getting the FTF on this cache, as shortly after we saw it'd be posted, we actually realised it'd been up for 2+ hours. Was there any way we could still get the FTF? Hamish.D and I both had surely thought tmann421 or someone like him would of already signed it! Or even been at GZ unknowingly awaiting our arrival! TFTC
