A nice little park visited by lots of young mums with babies.
TFTC and series.
TFTC and series.
Found it! Found it with RROB2000 as we had plans to go swimming but the storm hit so we decided to cache instead! Sneaky hide! TFTC!
I love how geocaching takes you to paths and tracks and places you never knew existed. This was a nice simple one. Love good clues. Thanks for the cache!
I left my car at the last cache and wandered up the path wondering if this was actually part of some residential complex. Turns out no, it wasn't, and I was soon at GZ and cache in hand. TFTC!
With two kids at school and a sick baby asleep in the pram I decided today was a good day to tackle this series on foot. Found all the available hides. This one had me wandering through the private complex before I realized I was in the wrong location - glad I don't look too threatening as a mum with a pram. Find 7 of 9 today. TFTC.
Going out for some caching on a bright autumn Sunday, we decided to head down to the southern suburbs.
After having done a couple of the Sutherland Shire Cycleways, we decided to go for some of the Jungle Book caches. Was impressed by the references to the original Jungle Book texts, and not only to the Disneyfied version. Having been a cub scout as a kid, I fondly remember the stories which were read at each meeting.
Rummaged around a bit in the green ground cover, before the cache suddenly appeared as out of nowhere.

While walking down the street I passed the access point to the cache. I thought maybe I could get to it by walking on apartment property. In doing so, I saw the path that I missed. Got to what I think was GZ, did a search but could not find the cache. Thanks for the hide. Greetings from Arizona, USA.
Could have been easy to miss the path, but luckily this time I had printed a map on openstreet maps that showed the trail in, so made a quick find.
I'm over from NZ for a wedding and to spend some time with my brother who lives local. I thought I'd walk around and get as many of this series as I could. A quick detour down the path and a quick find at GZ and another smiley face on the map. TFTC
Thought I was walking on private property which I hate, but then discovered the path and destination. TFTC
Find #1563 - 13 for today. Found on 8/02/2015 12:37 pm
7th in the Jungle book series, drove around the block looking for a way in. Eventually found a path which led me straight to GZ. Cache located easily enough. Thanks. TNSLLN

Surprised to find this path, wasn't sure if it was public or private, but turned out ok. Signed log.
Love this series as I am a cubleader at 1st Albion Park scouts! I think all the caches were very suitable for cubs and they would have a ball finding them all!

Rumbled down the thin black line late last night through the Big Smoke towards the Sunderland Shire and uncharted Territory to try my hand at finding a few caches there in the cool of the dark. Thanks to all who made my evening memorable, Thanks for the adventure

Up from Canberra visiting family in The Shire
I'd just completed a beach multi so as the day was heading into the evening I decided to continue on with a suburban geomission to clean up a bunch of caches around the area
Next stop was this one. After a quick stroll down the hidden path I went in for the quick grab and sign then I was on my way to the next.
Thanks for the hide, Team MavEtJu

Found with Kim and Crew. Thanks team Mavetju for this cache and all the other treasures you have hidden around the area. Its bringing a lot of joy to the kids and no doubt others.
#1558 - A good find on the secret path, but the grass looks like ferns here. Tricky filling out the log while balancing the bicycle and a local muggle walks passed.
Very pleasant walk and drive around the neighbourhood with Mr Hancock, filling in a few holes in the caching map.
Interesting to find all the little lanes around here

Team Bickie are in Sydney for the weekend, trying to get as many caches in while we're here! TFTC!
Nice little path Have to be wary about the local residents. Thanks for the cache!
Down south to see an old friend and so I'm taking time to revel in the local caches. TFTC TNLN

Looked and couldn't find. The mozzies found us though, and a resident found us and asked what we were doing.
I don't like being the first to log a DNF. Searched with 'the neighbs' for around 5 minutes, and came up empty handed. This was a mozzie haven for us this morning, also was approached by a resident who didn't seem very impressed with us scratching around.
Only a few hundred metres from home and we never knew about this path.

Quick find then opened out to a secluded little park I didn't know was there! Cute!
After the meeting decided to do a few others in the series. Its hot now not many muggles about.
At first I thought this was a street from look of the GPSr map, however on foot a nice shady path revealed itself.
The first time I read about the Jungle Book and the Cub connection was when I was in Cubs, and later when my son was in Cubs (he's now 42 ). I like the series by Team MavEtJu and the research involved. TN Left a small peg and signed the log. Visited a TB. TFTC Team MavEtJu

Number 5 for the morning with the Odlids we were enjoying our morning and wondering how many more unpublished caches there were out there - as I was logging this I noticed that another had just come up! This was a nice little hiding spot and a good place to leave a trackable TFTC
Thanks for this series Team MavEtJu as an ex-Cub leader that hasn't visited this area very much I am enjoying the series. Thanks also to pipersand for the geo-company!
SL and continued on the trail!

#1173 (7 of 9 today)
Back in the Shire today, and grabbed some caches both before and after visiting friends.
By the end of the day, I had two new D/T combinations, including my first 5/5 cache.
* * * END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION * * *
Left friends' home, and had noticed the Jungle Book series published during my earlier hunts. Why not.
So came back here in the dark to try to grab them.
Final find and the longest search of the series. Finally the torch lit on a familiar shape and camo and I had CIH.
Completed signing duties and grabbed the red rabbit TB.
Now for the walk back to the car.

TFTC,
Joint FTF with Nana Nel. Given the time between publication and our visit, we didn't think we had a chance at a FTF let alone 4 FTF's.
This series took me back to my involvement in the Scouting movement in the 60's. Great to see that there is still a strong connection.
Visited a group of trackables.
