I had originally intended to attend an event and then go on a long bush walk with other like minded cachers. But then life gets in the way, and I strain a few bits of me a couple of days before... and the weather looks dodgy.
So decided I'd attend the event and then grab a few other caches in the area before heading off towards "Real Life".
Got six and felt the strain on a short bush bash nearby. Methinks I made the right decision. Will have to get that long multi later, though.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Not for me today. Tried both sides of the road but nothing in the usual spots.
After 10 minutes gave it up.
Almost time for a cache check.

Second time at this location and no luck again. Looks to have been some recent construction work. Maybe been removed?
Found this a while ago, logging now.
Parked the car nearby and then it was just a short walk back to find towards gz. Read the hint, and after a quick search I found the spot, then had to expand the search. I was a little bit concerned with the cars go by just a metre or so away, so it was back to the car quickly. TFTH

Last cache for the day, Geohubby made this grab while I waited as it was a big day for me. He quickly had made the grabbed and signed.

Log wet and unable to be written on. Removed as much water as possible from container and added a piece of paper to serve as a temporary log.
Out and about in the Helensburgh area to attempt to finish off the puzzle series, plus a few others as well.

I wanted one last find for the day before heading home, and this one seemed like a good possibility. I parked near GZ and wandered back to GZ. The clue revealed one location, and I made my way over. The cache was located and signed the log. This cache had moisture in it and so I drained as best as possible before signing the damp log.

#1602 came down today to grab a few of the new GA series started with this one and it was the only GC cache I grabbed. A nice quick find between bike riders coming passes. The log was a bit damp but good to sign
Signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for the cache Team MavEtJu

Another good find on a geocaching holiday around Sydney, down coast and up to Canberra, across to Wagga Wagga, up to Bathurst and finally back to Sydney.
Thanks for adding to the good fun I had on the road trip.

Team MavEtJu I found your cache The border between Wollongong and Sutherland on 3/1/17, 10:48 am. This is my find #1816 and find #3 today. A quick park and grab. Thanks for the cache! TNSLLN
Out on a perfect summer's day caching with Brewmaker around the Helensburgh and Woronora Dam areas.
Stopped off on the way to find this cache on the side of the road and walked across towards gz. Looked in all the obvious places but found nothing. Saw the plaque that matched the hint, but still came up with nothing. If it was attached to the metal barrier, then it looks like a new guard rail has recently been installed there - so maybe the cache has gone missing in the process?

Not a very busy road here it seems which helped us pull over safely just after the cache and walked back to grab it! A nice quick find, however it was a bit of a reach and I just managed to grab it. Would of been a challenge if it was ant further in!
SL and replaced, but slightly less deeper for the next person
Thanks!

Always dodgy getting ones near main roads close to cars and people, but good hiding spot!
TFTC little bit dodgey as theres not much room between you and cars speeding along the bridge. Good hide!
Having a very early start to make a trip to the airport, it was decided that a few caches would help to break up the return trip (and get out of the crazy traffic).
Though having passed this point many times in the past, I have never actually noticed this sign. Thanks for opening my eyes. TFTC

We had to be quick with this one, parked the car and walked to GZ, lots of traffic, didn't want to get booked by the police. once duties done back to the car and on our way. TFTC
This was a quick drive by and the 164th day of my daily streak. Nice day so had a stroll around and watched the traffic below.

After I finished at the local scout camp, I drove around and parked nearby. Nice quick find with the hint, as a little dangerous with the traffic at times. SL and replaced. TFTC.
Found this after my fortnightly trip to Waterfall. Cool little spot and I loved the story that came with it. Thankyou
I had planned this day of caching all week. I headed off from Greystanes at 8am with my list of 56 caches and supplied with water, sandwiches, and a thermos, tea bags gloves and GPS.
I head south down Woodville Rd through Moorebank heathcote, waterfall, madden plains stopped at sublime point for a cuppa, then along Appin Rd and down to Cataract Dam. Then back up Baden Powell dr over to Appin, through Campbelltown, the M7, M4 and home, arriving at 1800. For 176 km, 32 finds, 5 DNF and 19 DNA for different reasons.
The finds today included meeting 2 groups of cachers on Baden Powell dr and I found my 1st ammo tin but now I have found 5, picked up 2 TBs, and the spillway was open at the dam.
It has been a great caching day. Buggered but now it is time to do some logging.

Was a little worried with the walk along the road but turned out I had nothing to be scared about. Super safe, easy and fun find. Even got a YEW from a Muggle
Found it tucked up in a nice little nook - needed a stick to retrieve it.... nice spot, watch for passing traffic though, cheers Gersy.
Out with wazza9 today, parked nearby & made a quick find, have been past here thousands of time over the past few decades, great to see a cache here.

Been meaning to look for this one for a long time seeing as I go past it pretty much everyday so took my opportunity today. A nice easy find however keep a lookout for traffic as it is fairly regular. TFTC.

No hoons or tailgaters. A quick stop and soon found myself a nicely hidden cache.
After driving past today to take the picture of the border, I found out that it wasn't the Sydney / Wollongong border but the Sutherland / Wollongong border! I fixed the historical facts in the story to adjust for that.
TFTC - out on my #23 Cache streak...
Parked down the road and walked back for this little fella...
I 'Periscoped' my find today.

Having grabbed "We Love The Gong" decided to try for this one just up the road. Easy eh! Parking on the side of a highway and then negotiating the traffic while looking for a DMR1973 sign on a bridge is not my or the geowifes idea of fun. Definitely one of the more dangerous attempts at cache grabbing I've tried. Successfully spotted the hide once in GZ so it was log signed then back to avoiding getting run over. Visited some trackables then onto another cache around Waterfall. TFTC TNLNSL. #183.

Set out today to hit the 1000 mark but needed 5 more caches before the big one.
This one provided the first of the five staging-posts and a nice 'warm up' cache on the way from Sydney down to the Escarpment.
And what fascinating history.

Heading home from a day in Sydney I decided to take the Old Highway and grab a few finds. I quickly had this one in hand after parking nearby.
Thanks
Thanks
Been leaving “local” caches for days I need to fill the calendar and had planned this one for next weekend (even though it would still be an 80km round trip) however as it was determined to be best done while heading home in my current direction, I may as well at least recon the parking options which seemed to be the biggest issue. With no cars on my tail, managed to stop, find, sign and return cache without one other vehicle passing… and this was around 1pm on a Friday afternoon! Now I need to find another cache to do next weekend.
We intending on doing this one but some idiot hoon came flying up behind and tailgated us. We deemed it too unsafe to pull over so left it for another day...
Team Canary was on fire today and this was his fourth find in a row today, thanks for the cache.
A quick stop on my way home from Sydney today. Didn't know about all the border trouble here? Glad to be bakc in the Gong again.

Well, the M1 was closed for roadworks tonight, so all traffic was diverted past here.
I can say that this isnt the most unsafe cache I have done, but it is up there on the list. Quick find assisted with the hint.
Cheers!!! Took TB

I found myself driving this way after some cache maintenence. I was muggled at the six towers, so I had to find this one at least.
I was a bit of an eerie walk along the side of the highway ramps, but I found myself on the right level for a quick find.
Left bullet tb. It wants to move fast.
Thanks for the cache.

TFTC,
Returning from the south we did a loop to locate this hide.
Visited a group of trackables to learn about the area.

Had 40 minutes to burn at Waterfall Stn while at work so I took off for a quick stroll down the highway to make a 2tf. Quite daunting walking in the breakdown lane with cars and trucks wizzing past. Reminded me of when I used to drive towtrucks. Tftc.
FTF at 2:20pm. Just finished domestic duties and this new cache popped up. No time to put the caches on to the Garmin, the smart phone will have to do. Off I went and expected to see a rush for FTF, what no car parked, might be in luck. I crossed the border undetected into the City of Greater Wollongong territory.
Nice clean, new log ready for a signature. TN Left a small peg and signed the log. TFTC Team MayEtJu (is that Team Magic?)
A word of caution: fast and regular traffic passing, take care.
