We continued today our tour of several AUS states in the NorthWest and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Multi-Cache.The weather was - said in one word simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood. The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging. Thanks to weroamin for the generation of this nice cache John Atherton II (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they happened.Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood. Today was a very early start with a drive to the airport for a 6 am flight to Cairns and day one of our North Queensland geocaching trip.Snickersallan and I were met at the airport by Grannysmith and Bluewattle. The bags were thrown into the car and we were off for a day of adventure. First off it was up to Kuranda, then across to Mareeba, down to Atherton and Millaa Millaa. It was then over to Innisfail before working our way back to Cairns, to arrive just in time for the night time event. It was nice to see a couple of locals turn up to the event, thank you.Spending a little time in Mareeba and checking out a couple multi caches to help with a challenge. We found our correcteds and headed off to collect. The log was signed with all four names before it was replaced as found and we continued on. Thanks for the hide and the placement.

Thank you to BootnBee for giving this one a new log paper.

Love a quick multi! Thanks. Hard to dodge the muggled in the lunchtime traffic. Have added a new log. *The generic bit for this trip*We are on our way north for warmer weather. From Victoria to Cooktown, weaving inland and to the coast, caching as we go. No real plans, just taking each day as it comes and enjoying the adventure in our converted ambulance. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining caches for our enjoyment.

Nothing like a quick multi in a new location. Happy to get the quick solve and the easy find at GZ. My eyes honed in on it and I was able to make a swift grab, sign, and replace manoeuvre.

Nice easy find awesome

I knew it was just me! The embarrassing thing is that it was so "in plain sight". I've even lost count of the number of these I've seen. After my DNF and a wee heads-up from the CO I returned on the way out of town to make the find and avenge the DNF.TFTC (& the nudge) weroamin CoolFind number 5133(Logs signed Rincewind3 or R3 if saving space. Occasionally signed BRN if caching as a team with *B*o&bronnie, *R*incewind3 and *N*otManlyJack)

Sadly a DNF for me but that's not unusual when I'm in Oz. It's amazing how different countries/regions have different common styles of hide, making non-locals almost blind to the obvious.I quickly got the info needed and off to a GZ that absolutely fit the hint (these ones aren't allowed in NZ anymore, although there are still a few grandfathered ones around.I circled the object a few times, looking into spots I thought perfect for a hide but no luck. Given its purpose I wasn't keen to poke around too much.TFTHistory lesson weroamin Cool

Up the tablelands for a weekend away. Might as well do some caches. A nice easy solve with a park and grab at GZ. Bag has seen better days.

After checking out Coffee Works we made our way down here to solve this multi. It didn’t take long to find the cache at the end. Since the plastic bag is ripped the log is very wet however following all the recent rain. Thanks for placing though.

Thanks for the cache

28-Aug-22
I always try and guess where the final of the multi was going to be but it wasn't where I thought. With the police just found the road pulling cars over we hoped for a fast find and succeeded.
Thanks for the multi cache

Decided to do the Atherton Tablelands today during our week in Cairns. Had the numbers crunched in record time and was pleased to find a clever hide. Like the previous finder I tried hard to not have the plastic bag sticking out a bit. Nice multi, TFTC

13-Jun-22
Nice multi. Once at GZ, the plastic bag was sticking out, so I covered it up after signing the log.

17-May-22
A day trip to Mareeba, and we stopped at this historic waypoint to read some information.
Numbers collected, a little more history of the area studied, and then a walk to GZ.
We spotted the hide upon approach, which is boldly but well hidden.
Log signed

Team Crackers, Micaparamedic and Geoturtle37 and I are heading towards Chillagoe for a day or three. Depends on what we find along the way. It is interesting how much caching actually teaches us and this was no exception. Once we had what we needed, we headed to GZ and made a fairly quick find. Thanks for the cache.

27-Apr-22
We are so late home now that we figure another week or two won't matter so Papi4506, Team Crackers, Micaparamedic and myself headed off towards Chillagoe as we all like visiting caves. We gathered the information that we needed and made a nice quick find at GZ. Thanks for the cache.

27-Apr-22
Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.

Today I was lucky enough to be out and about so I targeted this cache.

Multis are usually not my thing, so it wasn't surprising to me to find a lot in my found database that hadn't been logged.

Sorry for the late log, but thanks for adding to the adventure!

Thanks weroamin (F=1673 H=24) for placing this cache and adding to our game.

27-Apr-22
Traveling with Geoturtle37 Papi4506 and micaparamedic we decided on a couple days off to head to Chilligo to do the cave tours there We missed them 2 of them on our last visit.
And of course picking up any caches that we passed.

We have learnt a bit about John Atherton on our trips up here and believe he was a very astute business man as well as having a geological flare.

This location only added to our knowledge of this man and we enjoyed collecting the information at WP1. Once done we headed off to GZ where happily the container was found quite quickly but with this many eyes looking it is not surprising.

To save room in the log we signed as The Vics.

Many thanks weroamin for the information and the nice hide.

Found during a trip from Adelaide to the northern tip of Australia and back. Traveling up solo through central Queensland, I met up with e.gregory1 and a non-cacher friend near Cairns for the rest of the trip northwards, finding caches along the way. We spent three weeks on the Cape before making our way back down the coast, visiting many out of the way locations and enjoying the scenery. Thanks for the cache weroamin!

15-Aug-21
After taking three weeks to meander my way up from Adelaide to Cairns on my own, I met up with FeatherWaite and another friend to head further north to Cape York.

We spent another three weeks travelling up to the tip and back to Cairns, seeing the sights and finding caches along the way.

We found this cache while heading back to Cairns.

Thanks weroamin for the cache.

Not an early start this morning. Ever tried to wake three Netflix binging nightowl teenagers?
Only a few days to go on our extended FNQ visit and today is a waterfall road trip around the Tableland.

Passing through Mareeba and I remembered I had solved a multi here before the the trip. took a minute to visit the listed coords, then a quick find nearby at the final.

From there is was BBQ chicken from nearby,

Thanks weroamin

Found with LJB54. After following the signs to get safely to WP 1 we set about solving the puzzle and made quick work of it. Some quick calculations had us back into the geomobile and off to GZ.

A bit of a search soon had the log in hand and we always enjoy these types of containers. TB visit, a sign of the log soon and had the cache returned during a break in traffic. TFTC and our last find whilst in Mareeba

Staying in Palm Cove for a few days. Went on a drive today from Palm Cove to the Tablelands, including Mareeba and Atherton, and back on Route 52 through Yungaburra, enjoying the sights and picking up 14 caches along the way.

This was the last of three finds for us in the Mareeba area. Got the answers reasonably quickly and walked to GZ where we located the cache without difficulty. #2603. TFTC.

Greetings from Wellington, NZ.

We are travelling so I am limited in the number of multis and mysteries I can do, as I am always with the long-suffering Muggle Husband. But this was quick to solve and quick to find. Love caching in Mareeba.

Staying in Mareeba overnight for work. Quick morning jog down the road to this one after quickly solving it the cache was not too far away. Thanks for placing the cache.

We were supposed to bypass Mareeba but my plan was to visit this cache which I'd solved at home. After a change of batteries in the GPS I found I'd overshot the mark by some 100m. Once at GZ the obvious was quickly sported.

Thanks for the cache weroamin.

This was a nice quick and easily solved multi. The numbers needed were found and substituted in the formula to get the new co-ords for GZ. Once there it was a very easy find as there were limited options for hiding a cache. Cache was retrieved, log was signed, job done! Thank you to weroamin for placing this cache.

In Mareeba for 48 hours, using some of that time to add a few more smilies on the board. Second multi today, surprised at the final destination. Found, but needs repair.

Thanks weroamin

04-Oct-17
This geocacher reported that the container is damaged.

04-Oct-17
Despite a log explaining the condition of this cache, I do not want everyone to tell me that it needs maintenance, so I will disable it until the container can be replaced. Please be patient, it is on the way via Australia Post.

24-Sep-17
Thanks for the history lesson. A great day to be out and about on the tablelands.

24-Sep-17
A new container has been ordered to replace this one, and it should be in place soon, but in the meantime, please be gentle with what's there, and be patient. Enjoy the history about the cache though.

22-Sep-17
After we stayed a few days in Atherton we were heading to Mareeba. It was still morning so it was not too hot and we could relax during collecting the information for the final coords. We had no problems to find the little one. Clever idea.
Thanks for showing. Tftc

15-Sep-17
We are camped at Rocky Creek for a couple of days as part of our meandering across northern Australia after attending the Red Centre Experience over Easter. I decided today was to be a caching day out in the bush, but I had finished out there and was heading back to the caravan.
Yesterday Pa, a friendly but often impatient muggle, was getting frustrated with me, so this cache was not attempted. Oh the joys of caching by oneself.
The information was quickly gathered and I soon found myself at GZ. As soon as I saw where that was, the hint sort of gave it away, I knew exactly what type of cache it would be. So in no time at all I had signed the log as SG as I often do in small caches to save space. Then came the challenge of replacing it as it is no longer in prime condition.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find Weroamin.

TFTC. The history that you learn when caching is amazing. It is one of the reasons we love to cache. Y=The others is the places it take you. It was a simple matter of collecting the information. We had done this a week or so ago and were saving the find for a date that we needed to fill in some date on our 366 day calendar. Today I (Hans) had a chiropractic appointment. After the session I needed to walk dor ten minutes or so. I spotted the cache hide immediately and with no-one around it was a quick and simple retrieve. SL and returned the hide. Another hole in the calendar filled.
