Oh pooo. I really am hankering for a swim! Easily spied the clever hide, though it was a bit poo-ey , so glad I had water to wash my hands off, after doing a bit of backstroke to get out of there. Hope any muggles didn't see me emerging & thinking I was in the bush for an emergency Managed to evade crapping my pants & the vicious magpies in the vicinity
I had managed to keep my feet dry even when it was raining and then I came to this cache. I tried to make my way to the higher ground first, but squelched all the way and now I'm soggy. I might as well go for a swim!I had just signed the log and replaced it when Muggles appeared. I'm not sure what they thought I was doing in there.
Trouve ! / Found it ! Objectif du jour, la cache challenge voisine. Et quelques caches aux environs.5439me cache trouve.Merci G-2's Bodguard pour la cache Objective of the day, the neighboring challenge cache. And a few caches nearby.5439th cache found.Thank you G-2's Bodguard for the cache
In Auckland again this weekend with rattll, aiming to reach a significant milestone number of caches to coincide with a significant anniversary for her. After a hold-up to proceedings earlier today (a flat tyre on a campervan is a mission to repair on a Sunday), we finally got underway around Mangere Lagoon and Puketutu. At GZ, tracked down the cache after a short hunt. All in good order. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
After waking up this morning to find the campervan had a flat tyre, we spent the rest of the morning organizing AA visits, tow trucks and someone to repair it - such drama for one flat tyre!!!As a result we didn't manage to head out caching until close on 2pm. So we were pretty happy with a haul of 25 caches around the cycle trails here. We'll be back for the others another day. It was a quick but cool findThanks for setting this up
Good description of where to find this cache .. good little hide and glad we found it
Third find this morning while walking Mangere Lagoon. Easy enough find. Love how creative this cache is and i'm looking forward to finding the other G-2 and G-2's bodyguard caches!!
A really fun find... Took some lateral thinking and observing of the thing that kind of looked like it should be there. However, followed the sign and found the cache. Thanks so much for this one!
Took a lil while to find...but the pics helped, probably still waking up this morning. TFTC.
#554 For a bison on the loose, it was surprisingly well contained. This was a fun one, so have my last FP.
Sunday afternoon time. For a caching room somewhere new for me. Interesting area and a good. Walk tftc
Auckland University is in week 2 of semester 2 which means more writing and study, less walking and caching! However assignments were boring me and the weather isn’t *that* bad, so it’s time for some caching! I picked this park because there were a few caches around! I am armed w some swappables, 3 pens (as I like to loose them), a rain coat and my good trail shoes! It’s time to get muddy and grab some more smily faces!
Todays goal… hit 400 finds!
Thank you to all COs for placing and maintaining caches!

After dropping the family off for their overseas flight early this morning, I made sure to allow enough time before heading back to Whangarei, to go for a wander and collect a few caches. These ones around the Mangere Lagoon looked interesting and I hoped to knock them off in an hour or so.
Well, I hadn't figured on a lot of them being G-2 caches and in typical fashion, some were quite sneaky hides that took a lot longer to locate than anticipated. Thankfully this one was a nice quick find without having to swim for it. Nicely crafted though and gets a FP from me TFTC

Spending the night camping at Ambury regional park as we’re flying out to the Gold Coast and this was the cheapest and most convenient accommodation. Decided to go for a walk between rain showers. Managed 17 finds and 2 DNFs. The closer I walked to the sewage plant the stronger the smell and the lest inclined I would be to swim. Cache and log all fine. Thanks G_2 for the smiley.

Almost missed this beauty.
Luck was on my side and I spotted something that the normal non cacher would think twice about.
Sure enough it was it.
Nicely done, worthy of a Fave again!

Very cool but bottoms missing! Can see why this is a fave of many found with L& K
Super cool one here! Unfortunately container is half missing and there is no log

M24; m13 went and found the cache, and after retrieving it, like the last cacher said, no log, it was just the bison lid. Hopefully this will still count as a find. TFTC.
Enjoying the sunshine during the school holidays!
Found it but the cache itself doesn’t seem to be attached to the bottom. Hopefully this is proof enough.

We had a plan to tackle a different trail but Keylev couldn't commit a full day. So we decided to clean up this area and hopefully walk away with a decent cache count.
Quick find. TFTC

Quick find.
But very very sneaky.
It's a a bit airy out here tonight with the fog just starting to come down though the gaps in the tree.
Cach is safe and dry but the log is a bit damaged on the outside from being Jammed back in.
Thanks G-2.

In a massive rush, hoping to get the nearby FTF, lumin and I had to forego many caches to save some time, but an 80 favourite point cache :O From afar, I spotted something of interest matching the cache title and curious to see how dangerous it really was, I quickly went up the hill and with my adventurous spirit, I couldn't not get this cache, so off I went powering through the menacing tirades of water and strong currents before reaching GZ and quickly gaining access to the logbook TFTC G-2... Clever little hide!
A very special day for me today as I got to finally meet lumin298 after messaging her for many weeks, and go on a caching trip around the Mangere Esplanade and what soon turned into Ambury Regional Park! Had a lot of fun along the way and even managed 2 FTF's :O - All I can say is, right place at the right time! Picked up well over 20 caches over the course of 6 hours or so, including an interesting earthcache and an ad lab! Thanks very much to all the CO's out there who put out some cool finds for us

Very nice cache.
Probably best not to swim cos of "poo" as well as cos of strong current.
Regretting not bringing a hat and sunglasses - fortunately there is this seat in the shade nearby.
Thanks

Brilliant!! I see the reason for all the favourite points now and I'm happy to add another one. Great hint, great hide, thank you for the cache!
This was the target cache out here today with all its favorite points.
Definitely a simple cache, but excellent nevertheless!
Thanks for another excellent cache!

This was probably the best hide out I’ve seen during the Cache. Still in unvarying condition. Tftc!
Time to decide which way we would head around the water, after deciding not to swim of course. Nice hide here, can see why it's so popular.
The bonus of having a long weekend is that it's along weekend, and an extra day for going out and about. After the past couple of days at Orewa, then Mt Eden we were after a flat walk and not get too overheated after the super weather we've had over these last few days. As it was, we had some overcast cloud for part of the walk and the sun came beaming out towards the end of our mis-shapen loop around Ambury and Mangere crater lake. A few caches from a prolific hider, good to get some good caches, thanks to all COs.

Another fact found, damn its warm today, if only I was allowed a paddle, TFTC
After getting drenched and having GPS issues at the previous cache this one was a pleasant find, especially as we were running a little over for picking someone up at the airport. We headed to GZ and Jacksonz saw the right place before it was even in view for me and had the cache in hand in moments. A nice hide. Thanks for the cache. #1167
Off to pick up Miss Jacksonz from the airport, so took the opportunity to head to Mangere early with a Small Pooka, and walk around the Mangere Lagoon between showers. A quick find here despite the great camo, since there was only really once place to look. Thanks for a neat cache.
Last cache of the day, despite the navigation being a bit pants it was very easy to find. Funny thing to hide it with too!
