Logs
Nah, it's gone for sure, and I'm not going to bother putting one back. I think that some geocachers have forgotten the meaning of the word 'STEALTH', when I even see them marching around searching with a device in their hand. [:(!]
I don't know what's going on with this one; I suspect that someone hasn't been using stealth, and there is only one log between maintenance done, and cache being spoiled. I will have it maintained FOR THE LAST TIME at the earliest opportunity.
Hi there weroamin. We found your cache "Anzac Park" at 1:42:00 PM today. This cache makes our find count 11061.
[Blue]We are staying up on the Atherton Tableland for a week or so, and are thoroughly enjoying our exploration of the area.
Today we saw many interesting things as we traveled around - some of which we may have totally missed were it not for Geocaching.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

The cache has been dried out and some new log paper has been inserted. Please make sure that lid closes on the 'O' ring seal when the top is screwed back on.

Quick wander through town and we stopped to make this find. My gps had me about 5m out but as soon as I spotted it I knew it was the hide, then saw the hint! Log is very wet and was a challenge to extract!

TFTC! This was one of several caches we found today while touring the Tablelands, we had a great time! The log on this one was too wet to sign but we did take a pic of the cache if needed.
What a beautiful park.. TFTC.. Travelling up from Toowoomba, on our way to cairns..
Oh no, we are seeing double surely not, co-ords do not point to either, they point in between, another groan. Then we stand look and go, yippee and the cache log is soon in our hands. SL TFTC
Stood staring at cache for ages before realising what I was looking at.

Quick find while touring around the tablelands in the good company of Fullboar. TFTC SL
Easy find, but couldn't get the paper out of the cache, so no log for me. It is just stuck inside
Cairns Dive Trip March 2015. After a shortened first dive drip I decided a day trip out caching would be the way to go. Right in the middle of town I was a bit worried, but the cache was neatly placed out of the way and very findable. Thanks.

Benefiting from Ms Wazza and Kara's expertise we quickly had the cache in hand.

Had it right under our noses!! Good thing for my little bro being there with me!! FOUND IT!!
That's what I live about geocaching - it brings you to hidden gems like this that you'd drive straight by normally. I'm not sure I would have found this had I not run into the cache owner earlier in the day! Great hide on an urban area. TFTC. That waterfall looks so inviting on a hot day!
Was determined to find it. Thinking outside the box really heaps. Thanks for a good one
I did some maintenance today. A new log book has replaced the wet one, and an 'O' ring seal should keep the water out in future. All good to go.
Looked as though the cache had been muggled when we found it - out of its apparent hiding spot and half open. =( Dried it out as best we could and put it back where we assumed it should be - the logbook was still a bit soggy though.
On our todays tour we visited this site.
We took the opportunity to search for the cache nearby. We found it and signed the logbook.
Thanks for this nice cache !
On holiday in Australia.

Glad to see another cache near our home. Our grandchildren love to come caching with us. tftc
Found with muggle husband on a trip to Far North Queensland. A welcome break in our travels before a visit to the Coffee Works. Thanks to the clue it was a quick and easy find. TFTC
Today was Remembrance Day, Armistice Day, Veterans Day. On the visit to the war memorial noticed this new cache published. Lots of beautiful wreaths from the Mareeba community to honour our countries heroes. Lest We Forget. Tricky cache to find but my little helper found it quick.
FTF - thanks Weroamin for another sneaky urban hide in Mareeba. We were passing through Mareeba on our way to attend the Cooktown Horse Races and we stopped by to attempt this find. It is only now that we are entering this log entry that we've read your email note. Some interesting discussions. Keep enjoying your caching and it is great to see another well placed cache on the Atherton Tablelands.
Thank you Shell - from Big Matt and Shell team. It looks like here we go again with a pedantic review. I have taken on-board you quote: "If one has to dig or create a hole in the ground when placing or finding a geocache, it is not allowed." I hope you too read my note: "The cache container is a 'sprinkler head cache' bought from the internet. It is simply pushed into the earth at the base of a small tree, which is surrounded by a small fence." The tree whilst small, it not a beginner, being about four metres in height. The fence is similar to a pool type fence, but it only has four sides, about 300 mm long; perhaps it is more to protect pedestrians from the tree rather than to protect the tree from pedestrians. As a former NSW Police Sergeant, I have an excellent understanding of rules and guidelines, and on this occasion I have not stepped outside of those guidelines, despite your misgivings. You seem to have a problem with wheelchair accessible geocaches.
You find these two comments in conflict, but I can assure you that they are not! Clearly the cache is in a public place, and it is pushed 'MINIMALLY' into the ground; however it IS NOT A GARDEN. There are NO GARDEN beds in this area, and there are NO rocks around the area either, where geocachers might go looking in search, and damage or destroy Council gardens. I HAVE NOT CREATED A HOLE. I HAVE NOT BURRIED THE CACHE. I have marked this cache as difficulty 1, and terrain 1, so that finders have no need to cause ANY problems in this park. I have also included in the description of this cache the following comment: "put the cache back sensibly and respect the surroundings."
As I mentioned in my first review submission and again above, this cache was purchased from the Internet; from a geocaching product site. If such cache containers breach geocaching guidelines, then such containers should not be available from a geocaching site. Obviously you have a limited outlook on my cache placements, and between Big Matt and yourself, a decision has been made to severely scrutinise and restrict my geocache placements, and I find that to be a CONFLICT OF INTEREST; in the best interests of geocaching. Geocaching is not supposed to be personal!
Indeed I have a photograph of this cache placement; as I do of ALL my cache placements, so if you wish to see that, you can look at the gallery where I have placed the image.
I hope that that image, and my comments have alleviated your concerns, and this cache is published without any further unnecessary delays, so that disabled geocaches might have some opportunities.
I now have two geocaches at Mareeba; both of which receive rave reviews from finders; but no doubt you have seen that for yourself; if not, then perhaps you should look. We might have an opportunity to discuss you qualms about my geocache placements at the next mega event.
