As there's been no cache to find for some time, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
The artwork has been removed. It will be set up in a permanent location (yet to be disclosed) in the new year .
I have information that the artwork will be deconstructed tomorrow afternoon, eventually to be re-installed elsewhere. I will have to disable, maybe even archive the cache depending on how far its next public residence will be.

Our last day in Christchurch and New Zealand - with a flight to Sydney this afternoon. Glad to have a few more hours to walk around the City. Although its heartbreaking to see the devastation from the earthquake the memorials, artwork and reconstruction work are a joy to see. I so hope we can return in a few years and see Christchurch in its full glory. http://izziewhizzie.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/blog-31-monday-16th-november-goodbye.html

We are very late logging our holiday caches and I see this was disabled two days after we found it. Feel very fortunate to have been able to visit the memorial. A muggle was having a break at the final GZ - great excuse for us to go and grab a coffee (and cake) before finding the cache. Favourite for the artwork. TFTC La Vista

Cache was found on Day 4 of the NZ MEGA 2015 caching trip, as Gunnie69 and myself started the day by heading up the very scenic Dyers Pass Road, for a couple of caches and some magnificent views. We were then joined by GreenGeckos, Kyzabra, Jinta29, tealby and urch, with the aim of collecting 12 different cache types in a day, that stretched from Kaiapoi to the centre of Christchurch!
Thanks La Vista for the efforts of putting out the cache and making it an enjoyable day!

Out with the Aussie lads for a bit of mega caching. Awesome caching in a beautiful unfamiliar place.. Thank you La Vista for placing and maintaining this cache.
Grabbing the cache was a little difficult this afternoon, as there was streams of people passing by... Ghostgums and I had to time the grab right, but we managed after about 5 minutes or so... [^]
Back to the car for business, then another couple of minutes to put it back... It took more time waiting that to grab and sign the log...
A nice original spot, thanks for the cache.
Cheers La Vista.

Out having dinner with sharkiefan in the neighborhood and she told me about this one and I decided to get one more cache for the day. Glad to see that there are still lots of quirky things going on in the city center. Hopefully there will remain some remnants of that after the rebuild finishes. Cheers La Vista for the cache!
Was in town having dinner with rediguana nearby and we went our separate ways after the meal. I decided to knock off a cache while waiting for L4TB to finish his preparations. This was closest. Not sure I got all the right numbers for the checker but it worked out alright and I signed the log. Tftc
[green] Today has to be one of the worst geocaching experiences of my life. very cold wind this morning, (I am on my bicycle) and by lunchtime I had only7 finds, most of which are my least favourite type, and about 12-15 DNF/abandons. At that point I gave up and headed home to do something else. Read a book. Watch a movie. Anything else! In contrast, for the last four days I found an average of 45 caches per day.
It started off good - this cache. A multi is always good, and this one is awesome, gets a favourite from me. I love that they are turning demolition sites into gardens/artwork until they decide just what they will do with them. Thanks for bringing me here, La Vista. THIS is what geocaching is about!

After not managing to work out what I was doing a got a nudge in the right direction and hey presto. Cool little cache.
As I approached the co-ords I thought it was going to end there. The area is fenced off (I was looking forward to a wee rest). But I did manage to find the info required and onwards I headed.
Very few people about so a quick grab, sat down finally to write on the log and then off for another find.
Thanks for placing this here. Enjoying my time in CHCH.

A sneaky wee hunt and find while out dropping our daughter at the Ten Pin Bowling. I hadn't found a cache for the day and these days it takes a bit of a drive to find a traditional cache. Lucky there was this interesting short multi handy!

What a great piece of mosaics, I found this early on Saturday morning while collecting some targetted caches. This pair is certainly well done, and very nicely presented - I hope it survives in the post quake rebuild in some form or location.

Visited the Green Room a few weeks ago and then worked out the final coordinates at home. Tonight we were walking past the GZ after going out for dinner and I made a quick find. Some nice trinkets inside, but I couldn't see the listed Catalina TB unfortunately. TFTC!
Sat on the seat for half an hour as one person took forever to leave, but got there in the end. Left a couple of trinkets too
Visiting from the UK. Came into town today to look at how the rebuilding is going. Chanced across this nice piece of art work. Handily our choice of parking spot turned out to be very convenient.
Found as one of the four multi caches I needed to locate for a challenge....nice wander, TFTC
Very nice cache, wouldn't have come across this lovely memorial otherwise. Thanks for showing! Final Found easy after reading the hint. Left tb. Tftc
Went to the memorial just before dinner. solve the mystery while eating at an Italian restaurant. Afterwards I walked to the coordinates and found the container quickly. sad to see how this part of the city was damaged by the earthquake.
Thanks,

I finally found this cache as there was no one sitting on the seat or sitting in their cars having a smoke. Every time I was in the area I would have a quick look to see if the coast was clear but no there would be someone having a fag.
A couple of weeks ago I ended up talking to the woman who maintains the Green Space sites and was able to tell her how much these spaces are appreciated by many of us.

After watching the 2015 NZ Womens Road Race (cycling) at Cashmere I made my to the Green Room. Hey, this is a neat piece of artwork and a nice place to sit. Thanks for enticing me back to look around at what is happening with the re-build. The cache was a quick find as I made my way back to where I had left the cachemobile. Now off to visit the Oasis as I make my way home..
My second multi in a couple of days and an easy find once I had worked out the final co-ords after a visit to the Green Room TFTC
First cache in NZ in this lovely town! Geohoneymooningwife definitely helped solve that one! Left bug!
Another good cache to hit on Christmas day as we got a park right beside the WP . Fantastic spot in the middle of the city and what a great way to use some of the broken pieces of crockery. After admiring the handiwork, we got stuck into answering the questions and soon had some viable co-ords.
The cache was a quick find too. Thanks for bringing me here, well worth a cache placement. TFTC.

#8787. Loved the green room and its contents. Early Xmas morning proved to be a good time to tackle this one. TFTC.
On an evenings adventure with TG on an awful stormy night. TG and I thought we'd hit this one as under cover of darkness. Cool WP! So glad for doing this one as the final is far enough away for an idea I've been playing with, love that when that happens. We've been in the CBCP (Central Business Car Park) over the last few days doing the last bit of Christmas shopping. Not so busy at 10.45pm
Nice work with your cache placing in the last wee while!!! Nice batch of doable multis, keep up the great work.
Thanks for the cache.

Very excited to be back in Christchurch after several months, especially when a new crop of caches have popped up! This one gets a favourite for two reasons: first, the beauty of the artwork at WP1. I like china well enough, but the detail in this mosaic amplifies it. Second, I believe that this is very near the spot where 16 people died on 22 February 2011, when surrounding buildings collapsed onto a bus on Colombo St. So it is a poignant place for this lovely garden. TFTC
Thanks for the multi. Nice place and interesting art project. We certainly enjoyed sitting down for a while after our walk all along Colombo.
Enjoy these so much. We need a reason to enter the town environs these days and normally we wouldn't stop or even notice these special places. Found the cache in the end quite quickly.
Went to check on cache, hmmm bit of cache creep. Have updated the calculations for GZ but the hint remains.
Out and about in the evening. No worries with the waypoint but had to wait a while near the final GZ before making the find and sign. Nice wee multi. Cheers.
A quick catch up with purdiepurdie to compare notes on various expeditions.... and time for a couple of new caches. I haven't been into the CBD region much lately - so I was delighted to see this sculpture.
Fantastic. A short walk to GZ and the log was quickly signed; on to the next cache.
Thanks, La Vispta, a great short Multi .

TFTC. kotuku SI and I grabbed a moment to do a couple of the interesting new caches that have been placed lately.
This is a lovely multi and well worth a visit.
Thanks La Vista for creating this multi.

Thanks for taking us to an area we drive past without noticing. I hope it stays a while for everyone to enjoy.TFTC
Drunk muggles added to the fun tonight but nailed it after the cords were nutted out the other day
Managed to complete this in between showers. Loved the creativity shown in the mosaic. The final was a quick grab in between muggles! Tftc
I needed to make sure I found this one. My sister in law was part of the creation team.
I can't remember the last time I was able to have a lunch time walk and pick up a cache at the same time. Co-ordinates solved quickly, and cache was a quick find also. Thanks for the cache.
Teamed up with MrDan and found this one after getting the [FTF] on the other cache as well.
Thanks for the cache and highlighting the new installment.

FTF! [22:32] Joint honours with CHCH Falcon. After grabbing the other La Vista multi published nearby, we headed for this one to make it two out of three found of the caches published around town tonight. Another great (random) installation for the CBD's streets, haven't seen this one before, they seem to sprout overnight, which is great! TFTC (1400)
