What a perfect day to search for a Geocache. The weather was spot on! No wind, no rain, temp was at a cool 19 degrees and I was visiting a place I had never been too before.I was lucky enough to be chauffeured by Mr Sims_Family who had his eyes on a couple of challenge caches that I'm WAY off from claiming. This one was on the list because the unloved would be handy for challenge caches. Very happy to find what was needed at posted coords. The latest DNF had us worried but can comfortably say it is there. After gathering the required info, we made the short walk to GZ where the cache was spotted out in the open but in great condition. Thanks for the hide
Donutholes and I planned the day at Mount Beckworth to grab everything we could around the back of the mountain. The weather for the day was magnificent and we had a ball enjoying the wonderful space. The Ginja Ninja made short work of all the trails getting us close with only short walk to most of the caches.Thank you wozzle68 for the series
I found myself at a loose end this morning mooching around the house wondering which chores i would tackle today. Bored with the possibilities i decided to escape for a while with a spot of caching. That was the perfect idea and brightened my mood instantly. Now where to go? An area i havnt been to before, perhaps with some walking in nature and a good few caches to find. Mt Beckworth looks like an excellent target, lets go! The geopooch and i were quickly in the geomobile and away.
I couldnt find anything at the posted coordinates unfortunately, although I must admit that my geocaching spidey senses are a little rusty at the moment. I will have to came past again on my next visit.

Another run out to Mt Beckworth to venture a little further afield, however stop for this one first. Took a few minutes to locate what I was looking for but once that was achieved, the final co-ords were soon in hand and I was to make the find. No issues at GZ and my name was soon in the log.
Thanks wozzle68, fav point for a fun little mulit.

I spent the bulk of today wandering around Mt Beckworth, getting some exercise ahead of this weekend's Australasian Rogaine Champs near Avoca. Apart from being in cloud, there was very little rain, however it was very wet underfoot. Earlier today I visited the posted co-ords but couldn't find what was needed. On my way out of the reserve I stopped for another look having read some previous logs. Cache soon found. TFTC.

Measured up easily with the aid of a natural TOTT.
A quick find on our way up to the Cork Oaks Campground and a whole lot further up looking for an old archived cache just for fun.
After a huge day on Mt Beckworth, catnap777 and I had crawled back to our camp in Clunes, freshened up and hit the town for every cache we could get our greedy mits on.
Next morning we did it all over again on the northern half of Mt Beckworth.

A nice straight forward multi which all multi's should measure up to.
Beckworth Beckons, what an awesome series of caches. The variety of caches were exciting, and you were not sure what you would come across next. Some of the puzzles were testing, and it turned out we had to leave one behind as we could not solve it in time for our trip. All in all a superb set of caches wozzle68.
Found and signed with dalerious on a Mt Beckworth adventure. dalerious told me about the mount Beckworth challenges and series of caches not long after we met. We were looking forward to the day that would take us to this wonderful place, with it's varied assortment of cache types. It had so many positives. We had a full list, as usual, and I am so proud to say that we ticked off everything on it, and more!
We were staying in Clunes as our base for this long weekend and started our first night here with the Adlabs and their respective bonus caches .
We ended up cleaning out Clunes, all but one trad which we are sure is missing.
Our time in this town, and on Mt Beckworth was memorable . I was so excited searching for an archived cache in a secret cave. It never ceases to amaze me what you can achieve with a little pinch of determination and a whole lot of encouragement from dalerious .
We thank all the CO's for providing and maintaining the caches undertaken here. So grateful to you all .

Found day 3 of a somewhat impromptu solo caching and camping trip to Victoria from Adelaide.
I had planned to spend a week travelling, caching and camping along the Great Ocean Road, but my travelling companion had to postpone it due to other commitments. I was still keen to go away somewhere this week as well, so decided to head to the western part of the state on my own.
I created a bit of a 'menu' of specific caches of interest in the broad area that I might be in before I left home and just pottered along fairly casually, taking in the sights and grabbing what I could along the way.
I wasn't actually planning to visit this area, but I somehow managed to end up here and it was a good place to camp with what looked like some interesting walks and caches to find.
After walking up to the summit and back from Manna Gums this morning, I took a bit of a drive around the park.
Thanks wozzle68 for the cache.

Nosier smear by and made my way over to the cache, couldn’t find anything at WP1 till I looked up, oh! So you I climbed and the final was had, the cache was then found and is all good
Today I made my way from Adelaide to Ballarat via a few caches and found myself in Mount Beckworth and a few other places, also making it a goal to complete majority of Ballarat geotour.
Odd being back in Victoria after over a year but it’s good to be back.
Thanks for the cache

On a caching and camping trip with day1976, he put together the list of caches, and I worked out we could camp near the Cork Oaks cache so we headed there. We got to camp with plenty of light to spare, so we set up the tents then drove off to start on the series.
When we got to the first set of coords, we couldn't find anything, until we looked up. There it is! So I got to climb the tree! Collected necessary info, then a nice short walk back towards the car!

Ilukaperi and I did a flying visit to Mt Beckworth. One night of camping.
After setting up camp, we decided to nab some caches before dinner.
Spotted the hide at posted coordinates eventually. Ilukaperi did the “retrieval” whil I photographed the info for the final, which was found very close to a spot we had both spotted on the way in.
Nice set up. Thanks for the hide!

We have decided to head off for a couple of days, with no particular destination in mind. As we stopped for lunch in Clunes, we decided to check out Mt Beckworth as a possible spot to camp for a couple of nights. It certainly helped that there is plenty of caches on offer, and we have solved most of the puzzles. We made short work of this one and soon had the cache in hand. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache wozzle68
I had a DNF on this one previously, possibly almost 6 years ago! Today it was easy - shows you what a fresh look can do! It is still working well.
A great day with Shumba7 enjoying all the Beckworth Beckons series has to offer. Lots of smiles collected and enjoyed. Thanks Wozzle68 for more fun times.
I had an idea what I was looking for at part 1 of the multi but it took Shumba7’s keen eyes to spot it.

TFTC, quick find with Algae today and a day exploring the Mount Beckworth area. Nice day to be out and about not too hot and not too cold. A great day with a couple of hikes and driving around the area.
Nice little tree climb by Alage. I think he was a monkey in his past life. This one was very clever.. took a while for us to figure this one out. But soon log was signed.

Pleased to have finished all the caches on Beckworth now. We found this one with DazzPete on 1/1/2019 but for some reason, I hadn't logged it. Being up here again, I realised that I had forgotten. Sorry about that.
I am disabling this cache during this public health crisis.

On a stroll to the top today,
I stopped by this cache along the way
Would I measure up ?
Or would I fall short ?
It took a few minutes to find where it's hiding,
And after a sighting,
down I sat
How do I get me paws on that ?? [:o]
Yep !!
I'd fallen short
The usual retrieval methods were not working.
Hey !! I've got a TOTT for that
That did the trick,
and with coords to hand,
I continued me stroll,
to where this cache was found

Day 7 St Arnaud Campground to Mount Beckworth Reserve - Cork Oaks Camp ground
That was easy to solve ( what i expected ) and easy to find the final. Found after completing the chalenge trail. Just grabbing caches along the route to our camp site.
We left St Arnaud and heading in the general direction of Mount Beckworth Reserve to the puzzle trail. We stopped along the way to get multi's,puzzles and any local coucil areas. This was one of a small number of caches found on route to the reserve. We had to fix a staked tyre before we left, so it was a late start. quick find.
Came over to the 2019 mega in St Arnaud with Mogni. We where joined by jj52, Aussie M and M plus others at different times over the mega weekend. Many caches where found over the course of the 8 day trip. Targeting multi's on the way there and back plus the challenge trail in Mount Beckworth reserve. The creative trails around St Arnaud where the highlight of the trip.

Day 2 of my road trip from Newcastle to St Arnaud for the upcoming mega event, and couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit this beautiful part of Victoria. After camping at the Corks, I drove out this morning and picked up one or two caches on the way out. WP1 took a long search time, and was about to give up and move on when I spotted something that looked a little odd. Wandered over...and there was a cache!

We're camping nearby at Manna Gums and I've come out for a bike ride and to grab a few caches. I'm all alone today as M is back in the caravan coughing his lungs up, poor boy.
This cache was a bit of fun with a smallish...well, I won't say what but it's an activity that takes me outside my comfort zone! And then a transcription error which I didn't realise until I'd searched a bit further afield and found the cache anyway.
Thanks for the smallish adventure I really enjoyed the challenge.

Today I headed to Ballarat for a couple of events and to make a delivery but before that Mt. Beckworth was on the agenda.
After finding our main target for the he day, we now had a little bit of time to spend in the area before heading off to the first of two events.
We were now racing against time and we were trying to pick up the clues from this series.
This one was next on our way out, we headed to the posted coordinates and started Looking around but weren’t sure what we were looking for, after reading ahomburg’s log we decided to do the same so after a short wander around the cache was soon located and the log signed.

With a Rogaining event happening tomorrow in Daylesford, I decided to make a weekend of it and camp out somewhere nearby. I had been wanting to get back to Beckworth for some time, so decided this was the ideal opportunity, so after ParkRun near home, I packed the car and off I went. The weather while not hot, was looking OK for a walk in the forest.
While I did not do this one as intended, it still resulted in a smiley. I was unable to find anything at the 1st waypoint [B)] , but a bit of a search further away yielded something suspicious looking - A CACHE!

We had arrived in this very beautiful area yesterday evening, and by the end of a thoroughly enjoyable late afternoon/early evening geocaching hike we had found 11 of the caches in the area. We then spent last night at Manna Gums campsite. This morning we set off on foot for what our GPS recorded as having been a 7 hour, 13 kilometre geocaching hike, with a total ascent of 585 meters and a total descent of 561 meters. After returning to our waiting hired cache-mobile we then drove on to find the rest of the caches in the area. We then spent a second night at Manna Gums campsite before leaving the Reserve, by which time the Mount Beckworth Scenic Reserve had become one of our all time favourite places we have visited in Australia - plus of course we left this geocaching playground with a full house of smilies! - not to mention the thrill of a gorgeous little Echidna who late in the day walked right up to me and then sat down between my feet - I felt so privileged! With our hike now complete we set off by cache-mobile to search for the last of the caches left for us to find in this lovely Scenic Reserve, this being the next one for us to search for via this method. On arriving at waypoint one it took us a while to spot what was required but suddenly there it was - only the second time we’ve seen one of these in use over 14,000 cache finds! With the final co-ordinates revealed we updated our GPS and then walked on towards Ground Zero where the cache was soon located. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and a favourite point awarded. Greetings from Zimbabwe
TFTC. We had visited this cache last year , only to discover that the original sign had been removed and replaced by a new style. This was the first opportunity we have had since then to revisit. We had a mission today we wanted to get as many of the caches on Mount Beckworth as possible today to get closer to meeting the $00 with a twist challenge. There are also two caches here that will fill in a number on the D/T grid and also a month on the Ausmer challenge.
At GZ we looked about until I stood back and had the Aha moment. Cache was then quickly in hand.

Another great cache. Took us a little while to settle on GZ but once that was established, the cache was found. Thanks for the placing it.
Took us a while to find the initial WP but once we did we were quick the final prize.
Have seen the intial WP container used before but usually as the final - loved this version.

Looking at the name of the cache we thought that we knew what we had to look for, but then looking at the Terrain rating it suggested that we didn't have to do anything like that. However after a circuit or two of the tree, we then decided to look elsewhere and there it was!
Noted the co-ords and then it was off for a quick find nearby.
Thanks wozzle68.
Feedback: This cache should be rated at least a 2.0 for Terrain and have an applicable attribute.

Having just arrived home yesterday evening after an 8 day trip away[|)], today it was time to head to Ballarat as Cybergran V had wanted to a ride to attend wozzle68's 50th birthday celebration.
Harry managed to find a tree branch while reversing and gave himself an injury: the rear window on the canopy shattered [xx(] at the 2nd cache find for the weekend and yet by the time this was discovered at Castlemaine, many kilometres later, nothing had fallen out of the gaping hole! Whew!! [^]
Cardboard and duct tape saved the day/weekend!
After attending the birthday celebration tea leafotwind, Rex and I headed out doing some caches until late in the night then after a good rest thanks to an extra room at leafotwind's accommodation (which was hugely appreciated [:X]), the next day we attended the breakfast event and then (after Cybergran V rejoined us) we headed out to claim some challenge caches accompanied for a short time by both Mrs and Mr Riddell
With the last cache of the 29 cache finds found at 6pm on the 5th, it was time for the drive back to Shepparton, having attended 2 events and only having 1 DNF and 1 Write note on a challenge cache that I do not yet meet.
As I am about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby

Hmmm now where have I seen that before?
Still yours is well executed and, thank you, another that didn’t require mathematical calculations prior to finding the cache.
Both leafotwind and I need Multis for other challenges, and locus cache still hasn’t taught Rex the GeoPup to sniff out caches yet, but she’s working on it.
Thanks again for another great Cache.
In appreciation I’m sending another favourite point your way.

The second of the multis in Mt. Beckworth and another twist on the multi theme. After reaching the posted coords I eventually twigged to what needed to be done after finding the object. Fortunately there were plenty of tools lying about and after some trial and error and sending K back to the car for walking poles and gaffer tape I enticed the information out of the object with a bit of dexterity and the right tool.
This cache deserves a favourite point for the effort of placing the object and keeping the object in good condition.
After having attended the second of the birthday events in Ballarat I had planned to tackle some Mt. Beckworth caches. I was joined by locus cache and CybergranV which proved fortuitous both from an energy/motivation standpoint after yesterday's 20km+ of walking as well as a couple of puzzle solves. A great day out. Thanks to either Wozzle68 or McLookers for putting out the caches and drawing me to the area.

I wasn't attending the mega this weekend, so I thought the "Easter Escape" event at Mount Worth sounded like a nice day trip, so I planned to attend, and just see whatever happened thereafter. I was with au.fait after the nearby event. We looked around for a while at wpt 1 before consulting previous logs. This gave us the hint we needed and the details required were gathered. From there it was a quick walk to GZ and an even quicker find.
Thanks to wozzle68 for the cache.
Thanks to wozzle68 for the cache.
A bad case of tunnel vision here as i spent far too long looking at all the wrong areas matching the clue as I didn't find the important tool at WP1 before using a PAF! After that it was a straightforward search and find. The 'monkey business' at WP1 was good exercise though! Thx Wozzle68 for a very original idea for a cache. FP to you!
After the nearby relaxing event Muzza and I set off to gather as many nearby caches as we could signing about another 2 dozen. This was a very clever multi that had us scratching our heads for a while. Eventually all,was revealed and then a he signed. Another favourite point her Thanks wozzle68
Another lovely March day in Geocaching Land.
Nice walk to find this cache.
Thanks for placing it for us to find.
Nice sneaky one. Needed a tool for WP1 and thankfully one was at hand.
Good hide at GZ too.

Back to Mount Beckworth again for the second day in a row, this time armed with a Muggle husband and a slightly tougher car (well older/rustier which means I can bush bash and puddle hop a little more).
This one took us a little while to spot. The kids were whinging about the cold so I put in a PAF to the CO. As the ding came through to tell me I had a reply, muggle husband yelled out that he possibly had it. The CO clue confirmed that was indeed what we sought. After speaking to the CO today at an event, it turns out a piece that makes retrieval easier is missing. We found a way to get to the co-ords easy enough, the geo-kids came in handy.
Another nice quick find once at GZ.

TFTC - Out with Crackers from team Crack'n'LeeLee exploring the area and collecting caches in this series. This one took us some time to find, never seen anything like it before. Also a favourite.
Out and about today with Ed from 2beez to check out the camping possibilities here and grab a few of this series as well.
We looked round and round, up and down. I even cast the net wider hoping to stumble on GZ, then Ed says he sees it. What a great multi this was. Very clever WP1 we were impressed. Thanks wozzle68 for this one. A fav point as well.

Woo hoo, got to do Mr Beckworth with the fabulous CO himself.....I feel very privileged as it was a super awesome day filled with cool driving tracks and lots of walking. [^]
Well what an unexpected wonderful adventure this week turned out to be! I was meant to be in Alice Springs, but plans needed to change, so a relaxing trip to Victoria was the go.
Wozzle68 and I buddied up, and we ended up being great travel companions [^]....OMG, so much laughter , loud music [^], off-key singing and fun was had [:o)] [^]. We also teamed up with ChooknChunk and travelled in convoy to attend Mildura for '3 States in a Day' caching and events. What a great 4-some we made [^]....certainly brilliant dynamics [^], fabulous conversations [^] and loads of giggles [^]. I then stayed in Ballarat for a few days which was great fun.

Last for the day and this looked interesting. WP1 took a little adjustment of thinking and was soon spotted and the co ords for GZ . A nice bit of camo at GZ and the hide was soon found and the log signed. TFTC A favourite point from us. TFTC
Found yes thanx to boydclan123 while l was on the phone again. But we both loved this find very clever
Well, dehands and I kind of did this one backwards! What with my phone bouncing me all over the shop, and dehands busy talking on her phone (again!) the cache was located without the waypoint. That was just wrong, because knowing the potential quality and ingenuity of a wozzle68 multi, we wanted to do it properly! So we returned to where WP1 should have been, and in no way, shape or form were we disappointed! TFTC wozzle!
Luckily I have done a similar cache once or twice before so I had a feeling I knew what I was looking for here and sure enough I soon had the coordinates I needed for GZ. After a bit of a wander and a helping hand from MrsP we had the log signed.
Luke & Tess made some swaps here. Tess for a pink whistle and Luke for some handmade bracelet/rings which he gave to his brother Will which was nice. See photos.
Thanks for the fun here, Wozzle, lots of variety in the hides in a beautiful location.

Today was planned with a cache trip to Ballarat and the Mt. Beckworth area for another geocaching adventure. DAB, Ausfox and myself met early, packed the geo vehicle with plenty of drinks as we knew today was going to be a hot day and we were on our way. We made it to our destination for the day and were greeted with a very hot Mt. Beckworth. Plenty of tall, dry grass which would have been a snakes paradise but thankfully none were seen. These walks seem to get be getting longer as the day gets hotter. We found WP1 after a few minutes and wondered how we missed it straight away, we soon had the info needed and made a quick find on this one. Stamped and replaced as found.
**Thanks for placing this multi cache and series wozzle68**
**Cache container and log in good condition**

Joined up with Na'wal and DAB to spend the day caching around Ballarat and Mt Beckworth. I'm glad we stocked up with fluids as as the temperature soared. With the long dry grass we were weary of snakes.
Like others we were scratching our heads until the hide was spotted. now the race was on to get the coords, seems I took the longer approach while Na'wal had an easier way to gain the information. Once at GZ we were able to make a quick find.
Signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache wozzle68

Today I was in the company of Ausfox; and Na'wal. There had been a bit of chatter about Mt.Beckworth recently, so we decide to give this series a crack. I had never been here before, so I was really looking forward to it. We knew it was going to be warm and even though our phones said it was 31 degrees, it felt a lot warmer than that by early afternoon. Apart from a couple of walkers around the back of the mountain, we had the whole area to ourselves. This one took longer to find than anticipated. A clever way to hide some co-ords, once we found what we were looking for !! TFTC wozzle68
In pursuit of new challenges I made my way to Mt Beckworth for the first time. I had a great time wandering around once I found a suitable access road into the scenic reserve.
After DNFing a mystery nearby I decided to tackle this unloved multi instead. I was almost stumped at WP1. Took a PAF call from someone for a while, which gave me time to take stock of the situation and decide on a more measured approach. And while looking around and still on the phone discussing something unrelated - bingo, there it was!
With the co-ords in hand I was at GZ soon after, happily signing the log.
Thanks for the fun multi, wozzle68.

After tripping on a stick at WP1 and upon standing up I happened to be looking at the required numbers needed to complete this 2 stage multi . Soon had the cache signed and a fav point for WP1. TFTC
This one had me scratching my head and expanding my search area until I returned to GZ and spotted something that looked a bit like where a foot had been where one would not normally go. Attempted the same, looked around and BINGO! new set of coords obtained and a log signed shortly after. Fav from me.
Well this was going to be a big day for Suscoe.
Up early and off with long shadows stretching across the ground in the early morning.
A sunny day with the temperature around 30 degrees during the afternoon was going to be warm but thankfully a breeze sprung up during the morning and kept going all day and so it cooled Suscoe down at times when it was most needed.
This was the 6th find of the day.
Well that was interesting to say the least.
A nice bit of work indeed.
Well done and a favourite from us.
Thanks wozzle68.

Staying at the Creswick caravan park, to do some caching in the area.
Headed out to Mt Beckworth, for a lovely drive around the reserve.
It was a bit warm today, so we just picked up the caches along the main trail.
Had a idea of what we were looking for, and it didn't take us take us too long to find it.
Another favourite point for something a little different.
Many thanks for placing this cache, wozzle68, for us and others to find.

TFTC. Out for the day with the GeoFamily and half of Clan McStormy to conquer the Beckworth Beckons Series, cache number 10.
Loved this multi, though I had only seen this in a picture before, once found knew exactly what to do. Made a minor repair to the pull ring while we were at it. (Thank the great pumpkin for geo tools in the geo bag. )

Out caching with geodaddy on beckworth beckon's series like where you hid the cache. thanks wozzle
The geokids liked WP1 and with lots of natural bush implements around - we soon had measured up the info we required and were quickly making the find. TFTC
Having attended the nearby event, we headed off to find some of the caches in the area before heading back to Ballarat. It wasn't long before we bumped into some of the other caching teams and joined them in the hunt.
It wasn't long before it became obvious of what was required, but retrieving the information was proving a little elusive until Mr Just a Trifle took matters into his own hands and bounded up to make the grab.
Thank you wozzle68 for taking the effort of putting out this multi and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy - a favourite point from us for the fun we had

After a nearby event, the offer was made by 1/2 of HighRod (the taller version) for a little 4wding adventure with Suss_Vulture tagging along.
Saw some great views, some awesome locations, some awesome 4wding and of course some caches along the way. Loved the log book here.
Thanks for bringing us here Wozzle68.

Traffic on these tracks resembled Bourke Street today. As we pulled up near this multi, another car load arrived, and more cachers came walking out of the bush to join in a big group hunt. Our driver, a previous finder of the cache, was giggling at our efforts to locate the information at WP1. Once we found it, we made a concerted effort to get to the information. This was where Mr Just a Trifle's nimble approach was very helpful.
A quick find at GZ, and lots of happy faces.
Thank you for the fun wozzle68!

Found by Mary & David at 1045. Had a good idea what we were looking for, but it still took a couple of minutes to spot it. Everything was straightforward after that. Our thanks to wozzle68.
I was looking all around wp1 with no success, when Mippy05 said that Kenare and her had found it. Very clever Wozzle68. Tftc
This was pretty cool!! We weren't quite sure what we were looking for but then Kenare and mippy05 spotted it at the same time!! Tftc
Spent the weekend away with Team Crackers and Micaparamedic attending the events and picking up some of the local caches.
