Cache in poor condition and now not really appropriate due to all the schools in the area. Have retired this bright spark!
Only thing I found was black tape that could possibly been what the cache was wrapped in. DNF for sure
Was a quick stop and fine. The cache has seen better days and the top is missing. Log is dry, though. Tftc
It was a school day when I attempted this but luckily there weren't too many people around so it was a fairly quick grab trying to be as stealth as I could. The lids is missing from the cache, TFTC!
Very strong magnet which made it hard to retrieve. Phil nearly pulled the lamppost over! Bug central also. Fills another dot day though!! SL TFTC
FOUTH FIND OF OUR NIGHT!!! On a “cinnamon” roll Looked here yesterday but had no luck, glad we persevered though )) - Cinnamon Roll
Plans were made on the Auckland Geocaching Facebook page to attempt them infamous Alice geocache in Whitford as a group. Since it was quite a distance to travel from West Auckland, I decided to leave extra early to head out to Maraetai and Beachlands to find the new caches in the area that had popped up since I had cleared out the area.
My friend had cancelled plans to meet up in the afternoon, so after completing Alice I was free to head home. Happened to end up following a detour down this road and realised that there was a cache close by. Pulled over across from GZ and had to wait for a few trucks to turn around and leave before I could walk over and find the cache.

After an early morning stop at the skatepark to get the kids energy out we took the long way home and found the cache pretty quickly. Tftc
“New Scotland to New Zealand” Greetings from Nova Scotia, Canada. We are travelling through New Zealand for a month and hope to enjoy many caches. Thanks to all cache owners and to this beautiful country.
An easy find but not an easy cache to get out. Took a bit of effort as it was wedged in and the magnet was quite strong. TFTC.
Today we wanted to add quite a few finds for this calendar date, so we decided to come over to Flat Bush.
Not too many people around when we arrived at Bright Spark, and we soon spied the hidden container. Soon had the log signed and cache returned, and on to the next. TFTC

Due to a power cut at work I had to do at least one cache on my way home. Nice quick park and grab on a beautiful winters day. TFTC
With nothing to do in the evening a little excursion with Janno216 was made to clean out flat bush a little. Sadly due to time we were limited to only a few but they were enjoyable. Thanks for the caches. Well this was exactly where I thought it would be, so easy find.
Dear Cache Owners,
I am a German guy who stays in New Zealand for eight months.
My English is not perfect, so please don't wonder if my log entries sound a bit strange. Thanks!
----------
Nothing to do in the evening, so I made a little tour together with thegreatauk in this area to find some boxes.
Quick find here!
Thanks for hiding!

Geocaching day in Flat Bush. Invited by new hides in the area I``ve enjoyed all of them plus some old ones too. So quiet here. No doubt ... holidays mode on. Nice and quick find! TFTC
A nice day to pick up some geocaches, enjoyed the sunshine and the fresh air, thanks for placing this cache
Easy park and grab as we knew where to look from the name of the cache and the description. Tftc
Closest cache to my work ... and today dot day is my responsibility.. Defiantly a quick park and grab as description says ... I think it took all of 5 seconds to locate .. Signed in comfort of my car before sticking it back in place and I was on my way for afternoon errands
Came out this morning before work to have a look. GPS was spot on, so found this with just a little hunting. Only a few student muggles about, but further down the road, GZ was clear. Great spot, well hidden, and gave a bit of a fight to extract, the force is strong with this one. All signed and sealed, nice and dry. TFTC
Checked cache tonight and its original container has gone.
Will prepare and put a new container out in the next day or two.
Thanks for maintenance log.

4.45pm - Trip to Auckland with the Squirrel and a couple of new cachers on board with us. No real plans but with one multi cache in mind. With this ticked off it was just a day of increasing our cache numbers. A good with some interesting cache hides with a couple needing needing repairs and a couple of misses. Thanks to all the cache owners for todays trip. SLTFTC
Visiting Auckland with Nerweed and Gap (of Fap and Gap)... In the city to complete a job and for cache purposes...
We decided to spend the remainder of our afternoon in the Flat Bush area. There are so many caches tucked away in this rabbit warren piece of South Auckland. We could spend a week in here, and just be scratching the surface...
Most of the caches we found today were fairly typical urban hides. Some need new logs, or complete overhauls... We found a strange set up here. Someone obviously replaced the cache with something a lot more inferior. We signed 'something' here, but obviously not the fun cache this was reported to be. TFTC.

We did this one as an class from OJC group 1 this was really hard but with the help of team work we found it. PS: be careful when writing in the log since it was really fragile
time for a few caches after dropping people at the airport and picking up the next lot to take back to Waihi with me
Tried from one side, then the other, the looked more closely from the first place once again and there it was. TFTC
Mangawhai to Auckland.
Today we drove back to the city, our holiday comming to an end.
So much going on in the last couple of days so I have not been able to log this untill we arrived back in Aussie.
Thanks for placing this cache NZTravellers

GZ was swarming with construction workers so we needed a plan. The classic shoelaces need tying seemed like the obvious option however the small flaw in this idea was that neither of us were wearing lace up shoes. Oh well, if we acted like we were who would notice? A Shortland Street worthy performance followed enabling successful retrieval and return of of the cache leaving the workers none the wiser.
A quick exodus then followed before anyone looked too closely at our shoes. TFTC.

This was the first geocache we ever found and got too excited! It will be pretty hard being stealthy to find this one... TfTc
It was a good idea to come to this one in the school holidays as we could use the school carpark to park in. Again we let our newbie look for this cache and he was quick to find where it was. I think he's got this caching thing sussed! Nice easy find before walking down the road to pick up the next one. Thanks NZTs.
We were on a roll now. After two DNFs to start the day with, we were starting to pick up finds.
We headed on over to this cache and parked in the school car-park, which we probably wouldn't have been able to do if it wasn't the school holidays. Anyway, it was a short stroll over to GZ where the cache was cache was soon spotted by Mr. Kiwi, but left to the others in the party to find.
This was the first of this type of caching container for our priestly companion to find so it gave him a bit of an insight into how different caches can be.
The log was duly signed and the cache replaced. We wonder what the construction workers at the nearby school were thinking see a group of us playing around in the middle of the road.
TFTC.

Fortunately school was in session and we were able to park and grab this quickly and unchallenged.
Nice quick find here for us today. Lots of new houses around here. On our road trip from hawkes bay. Tftc
Very quick find thanks ! Never been in this area before in my life ! Making a small dent in the caches : but will need to return many times !
Thanks NZT
Thanks NZT
Found by learners at Ormiston Primary School. We walked to it from our school. William and Helen spotted first.
Taking the boys to the movies and grabbed a couple on the way over. TFTC - cool little hide.
Out for the day with the Davidson clan picking up a few caches in the area. We were heading back home and I realised I needed just one more cache to reach 1700 finds so as this was the nearest off we went.
All quiet here today with it being the weekend and school holidays only one place it could be but was really stuck in there good . Finally got it out after a bit of wriggling and signed log.

Must stop being distracted by geocache and go and get the groceries. Thanks for the quick find.
Out with lokky1 for the day. Heading to beachlands for a change and stopped off on the way! Quickly spotted by lokky1 as we approached.
Geo-kid and I found this one pretty easily today after doing a bit of Christmas shopping. Luckily not too many muggles around! TFTC
