With the WA Day public holiday fast approaching, the call went out to the team to see who would be up for a day out. SirFancy, I C Nothing, and monkeywand were available to join me, and we decided to head down south towards Donnybrook. There was plenty of cache variety for the adults and a decent playground and bakery for lunch for the junior members of the team.We met up early in the day in Baldivis. With the ping of a new cache, we piled back into the cars and headed for Lakelands. After a quick find, we hit the road and headed to our caching area of operations. We started out by collecting a bunch of caches around Donnybrook before stopping for lunch and letting the kids have a run around. After lunch, we cleaned up the last few in town before winding our way through Boyanup, Dardanup, and Brunswick Junction. We arrived home just as the sun was going down, having been on the road for nearly 10 hours, covering close to 400 km, and collecting 41 finds, 5 adventure labs, and 8 DNFs.Thanks go to The Wild Wellers for placing and maintaining the Traditional cache Sandypaws for me and others to find.I added my name to the log at 10:57 on 3/6/2024.This is find number 8978 for me.
Found while caching with the and signing as MICS(Monkeywand,I C Nothing, Cirrus_WA and SirFancy)Lovely WA day to cache to and around DonnyBrook."Found it! Remembering the words of Confucius: 'It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.' Onward to more discoveries! This is my 5138 find.Thank you The Wild Wellers for placing and maintaining this cache.SirFancy West Oz Geocaching committee member.www.west-oz-geocaching.com/
Out and about with the MICS crew (monkeywand, I C Nothing, Cirrus_WA and SirFancy plus geokids) for a roadtrip down south. Most logs signed MICS. A beautiful day for caching around town.
Heading out today to do a big loop drive and knock over some LGAs. Cherry picking our caches. This one attracted our attention as it was outside of the village, we always prefer finding bush caches. Quick find all in good condition. Tftc
Nice little detour on the way home from a holiday. Dropped off some trackables that have needed a new home for far too long!
The last bit of track was way too sandy for my 2wd to risk but it was such a tiny walk it was a welcome relief to be out of the car. Thanks.
When I woke this morning the heavy rain was the first thing I was aware of. I thought this might make geocaching unpleasant today. As the morning advanced the rain eased, then returned in earnest.
When my work was finally done I looked outside to see not a drop of rain. Time to geocache before any more water could descend.
I contemplated this cache a few days ago, well today was the day to go for it. The roads were still wet so the drive was a bit more cautious then usual. At GZ the sun was shining. It was a short walk from where I’d parked with little time needed to cover the distance. So too, only a little time indeed to spot the cache.

White sandy track. Came in Autumn so no wildflowers. It would be worth a visit in Spring.

OUR 100TH MILESTONE
Thankyou The Wild Wellers, the geokids managed to find your cache today without too much hassle (they're learning well).
To celebrate 100 caches, we dropped off our friend Eeyore, who wanted to stay and nibble on the kangaroo paws... it was a tight squeeze to get his box into the jar, but it fit after a little re-arranging.
TFTC and here's to the next 100
