No luck.
The lantana reported by previous loggers as existing at the GZ has been poisoned and cleared.
No bushes capable of hiding a regular sized cache currently exists within about 8m of the coords.
Spent about 20 min anyway looking further afield.

With the GPS pointing to the middle of the lantana I only made a half hearted attempt at this one.
followed GPS round and round the lantana. then sat down and read logs and hints. tried again and no avail. next person who finds can you post coordinates of your find? logs keep saying it's damaged and in wrong place.

My apologies for the late log.....
Whilst attempting the nearby power trail I decided to head up high for a few more caches.
Even on a cloudy day the view up here was great.
I paid attention to a number of previous logs which told me where not to look. I used a stick to help me poke the shrubs. I did come across a lovely spot that looked very much cache sized but it was empty.
I left empty handed.

Dnf on this one today. Scratched around but couldn't find a viewing deck or a cache.
Scratched around for a while but finally hit something hidden reasonably simple. Cache was flooded. I wiped it clean and dry but log book is soaked. Couldn't sign. TBs still there. TFTC
Nice find while driving through the area today.
Took a bit of searching to find, but got it in the end.
The notebook is quite wet and pages a bit stuck together. TFTC

Decide to head out here today with Mr roo and drive around to greystones... easy found thanks
Jumped a fence to get to this one, got to gz and yes found the remains of a cache. This one really needs some maintenance as mentioned by previous finders TFTC
Today I found the remains of what looks like a cache container.
Definitely requires replacing

Bugger!! our first DNF for today..after a long search to boot, or maybe we were just getting tired
Loved the superb view from here. Places like this are where geocaches should be. It was easy to spot landmarks like the harbour bridge, centrepoint, olympic stadium, Chatswood and Parramatta. Interesting history and description of this area. You don't realise the difference in local elevations until you're up here. As fas as the cache goes, it took me a good 15 minutes to find, as the GPS wanted me a few metres away. And, as others have mentioned, it was a few metres north of indicated GZ. A different hint with reference to the number/position of trees may be more useful. Anyhow, a definite favourite for me, thanks adventure-f0x!
A snogging couple meant that we might not have had the chance to search for this one, but the sight of us was enough of a passion killer for them to leave and allow us to search for the cache. Geo sense made up for some dodgy coordinates on this one.

OCW delloro and Brewmaker today.
As reported the coords are out but a determined look around X 3 had the Brew Meister making the grab. The couple had left leaving us to our own devices. TFTC adventure-f0x.
Oh yes and what a spectacular view from here.

OCW delloro & aries44. No smooching couple is ever going to get in the way of 3 very determined geocachers! We checked a few spots according to the hint and eventually we found it. Scared them away too! Good camo given the time it took us to find it. Great views to the city from here! TFTC.
The CO is quite right - you don't have to go through any fences .................. as long as you start on the right side of the road in the first place! (I had come in from the other side the last time from the industrial estate).
This time access was much easier - but could I find it? No!
I spent ages looking around GZ, thankfully I had my trusty stick and went poking into everything. The coords wanted me in the middle of some lantana. After about 30 mins fruitless searching I PAF - yep I'm in the right area....................... still no luck....................... another 15 mins...................... bugger this for a game of soldiers................... went off in search of the cheeky monkeys.
On the way back I thought - one more try........................... another 15 mins........... pokey, poke, poke, thud!
Woohoo - CIH! I really thought I was going to have to give this one up.
As mentioned in other logs the coords are off, if you stand at GZ and turn to face the chair, thats a pretty good direction to try. TFTC

Unfortunately we couldn't find this one today. Very dissapointed. Where the coordinates wanting us to go there was a massive wasps nest and I wasn't willing to battle them.
Didn't find this one. I really didn't want to go into the lantana as the gps suggested. All the logs say the coordinates are out. If someone could suggest better ones it would be much appreciated.
Found it in a beautiful day with Master Q and muggle husband. Coor were a bit off but after reading previous logs I found it. I picked up the TB and left another one.

Found it just as the rain and lightning started. Signed the log and having climbed most the hill I went on to the top. Despite the weather
Nice park and nice view. Evidence of NYE celebrations up the hill from here. Why not? You'd be able to see all Sydney firework displays from here! As others before have reported, coordinates did not match our device but goes ensue will lead you to GZ. SL TFTC & HNY! Cheers... Gaztek
Found this one just after sunrise on Christmas morning before all the eating began. It not easy with the coords out. But as, said in previous logs get close to GZ then turn around and start looking. TFTC. #196.
TFTC - OCW Ali600, Beemyshells, & The BOY. we loved the view from GZ.

Well, this find was always intended to be a TB drop so the CO to take it overseas. Bonus chance to meet the CO, as she came up the hill to say hello, (while I pumped up my car tyre). Nice to meet you FF. So sorry I had to go...I really don't enjoy the traffic on the M4 and it was getting a touch late. But hey! Thanx for the tip on getting to the M4. Hope to see you again some day. Maybe at an event.
Had a reasonable look around but there were 3 muggles sitting not to far away.
Was wondering if the co-ords are out a bit like the Cheeky Monkies cache.
GPS's batteries went flat on me after about 10minsof searching.
Will need to return for another look, hopefully no muggles next time.
Thanks for the hunt. Great views from here.

I had difficulty with the cords on this cache and so resorted to instinct to find it. It must've been before my eyes at least three times before I finally spotted it! This view would be amazing on a clearer day, thank you for sharing it! TFTC!
Container all dry and ready to go. Left TB inside that I picked up when I was living in Canada. Enjoy
Went for a lovely walk up here today and did a check on the cache to find that it was swimming in water and the log book is wet, so I've taken it home for the night to dry out.
Will replace in the next few days

#209....I really wanted to do a full day of caching this weekend but time just got away from me. I decided to squeeze one in late on Sunday arvo and Sunrise Viewing Deck seemed like the perfect fit. I used to work in the development down the hill so I know the area well, but I've never been up here. TFTC
Our GPS wanted us to go one way but logic said it couldn't be right. So we made the find on instinct. What great views from here to he city. Thanks for bringing us to this spot and thanks for the cache.
drizzly aussie day arvo so went caching...wasn't in the scrub all our gps's wanted us to go to though...put that down to the cloud cover today. Tftc.

After coming here a couple of days ago gave up, when I checked a few other logs it seemed I was missing something, the area was thoughly checked but still not in hand.
One last check before I head home... Bingo must have been scouting around it the whole time...
Thank you for the hunt and the cache.

Bypassed this one as muggles sitting on nearby seat, great views here. TFTC
Another unfound, the GPS wanted me to walk into very spikey scrub, I shy away from that at this stage, looked around the area pretty throughly still with no success...
Muggle came past thought I'd give up and return another day.

After watching the great Aussie first innings in the Boxing Day test some to an end, thought I'd better sneak out for a few caches.
Targeted Prospect & Pemulwuy, and came up with nothing but quick finds. Has to happen sometimes!
* * * END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION * *
Another quick find.
Walked up the steps and there weren't too many possible hides. That said, I managed to walk 30 metres past it before checking the GPS and seeing I'd overshot.
Completed signing duties on a nearby bench and replaced.
Nice views.

I found the cache not where my GPSr wanted me, but about 6m SW.
By the way I doubt you can see the sun set from here seeing how the slope faces NE. Fantastic views though.

Skipped through one of the holes in the fence and moved to GZ. The GPS indicated it to be among the weeds but as WW said in the previous log, 'turn around'.
#2818- I continued on from Mr Prospect to these two. I am not one to go against the rules and enter where you obviously should not be, but today I did, seeing there were a few open parts in the fences. My first thought was, Surely it's not there. Then I turned, saw a small caching trail and found the cache. You certainly can see a long way, when it's not storming. Thanks
I parked to the west where only the busses can continue. Then after deciding to go through the fence, it was a short climb for an easy find.

13/11/14. 11:42 AM. Cache #1996. Streak day #144. 2 days later and this time there's only one worker in a truck up near the north-eastern corner of the park where I tried last time, but he's far enough away that I can go investigate. I saw the break in the fence - I definitely wouldn't have been able to duck through this on Tuesday without attracting attention when all the other workers were here, so I'm glad they've gone. Yay, I'm in the park and I can get these two now. Easily found and signed. And yes, the view is worth it. On to Monkies next. TFTC }:)
Wow! What a great view of Sydney there is here. Cache was a quick find. Did the legals and replaced as found. TFTCM

Couldn't find an entrance; the fences seem to completely surround Ridgeline Reserve. I tried the roundabout at the north-eastern end, right near GZ, off Butu Wargun Drive, but there were construction workers and the road was closed off. I tried off Daruga Ave near Cheeky Monkies, but nothing but fence along its whole length as well. Is it possible to post waypoint coordinates for a way into this park that's not fenced off?
Streak Day # 486 - Nice quick find after a swim and en route to shops to get supplies for a bbq. TFTC
I'm really wondering how these got placed as the whole area is fenced off with construction fences
Snoopy1976, construction was completed earlier this year however the fences remained up as there was a dispute going on in regards to who owns this land. The construction company that completed this project has kindly left the fences Open at the Entrances for people to walk through the reserve. There won't be an issue with these unless they decide to rip up this reserve and place houses here (which is unlikely).
Thanks
Thanks
It is a shame that all these fences are still here. It ruins a possible good view.
However it did keep muggles away so there would be no issue while making the find.
Thanks for the cache.
