While staying in Nanango for a few days with my geodog Scruffy , We decided to look for a few caches in the outlying areas ...Co-ords way out, GZ near grid
Heading home from the Fraser Coast and thanks to a certain challenge we took a small detour down the dirt road for these 2 caches.I was confused with GZ at first but then read some logs that said the coords were off, after reading another log the cache was quickly found.Tftc Purple_Ninja_00Find #4734
TFTC. Easy find after reading Seasonedbird’s log (22/9/22) - thankyou. Posted co-ords are way out. Maybe correct until replaced with bison tube ???
Found it after a short search, coordinates appear to be a bit out. All in order with the new bison tube. TFTC
Our last day of caching, home tomorrow, planning our next breakout. An overcast day with interminent sunny patches. Most of the caches were damp, and we were going to replace, however there is another rain storm due to pass through in the bnext couple of days. Some of the containers are missing the rubber seal, letting water/condensation into the container. Drained containers and aired logs for about 10 min.

As per previous log, the best co-ords are S 026° 35.084' E 152° 00.032'
In the interest of keeping this cache alive and reading previous logs/DNF’s and a good search by ourselves using hints and tips from previous logs, I have replaced the container including a new log inline with the D/T rating until the CO has the opportunity to check out same. The new container is a bison in an obvious spot. Found whilst on a very non direct route to QOGM - Charleville 2022. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird (aka Mrs Geo, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird). It’s a great day for caching.

Actual gz S 026° 35.084' E 152° 00.032'
Found gz is apparently the post between the grid and double farm gates.
A new bison to replace old mint tin.
Glad we approached from the east side as the road is closed at the floodway, impassable from the west.
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

Nanango Blitz Weekend with Stealth Seeker. Final Day.
Another quick grab. Almost didn't even stop the car.
Another quick grab. Almost didn't even stop the car.
With Aussiemates on the last day of our caching adventure. Couldn't resist when we were driving right by. Lovely quiet back road. TFTC
A lovely caching run this morning around the country roads in this beautiful area. Although this road didn’t show on our map it was clear in satellite view. The cache was found using the coords in the previous log. All good with the cache log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Purple_Ninja_00 for placing these caches for us to find.
We spent ages looking for this one around where our GPS indicated GZ was. IT was really annoying as we actually found it 25 mtrs away from where it should be. Someone should please take the time to update the co-ords as this is really too far away and many other people have commented that co-ords are wrong. Wish I had seen that earlier than today. No. 36 on day 2.
Tftc ,we are here in Nanango for a few days, will head down this road a bit and see what we find , all good here
Second time luck for me searching for this one. Both Eskies5 and Caro had one this one on previous occasions. On the previous attempt, I struggled on a hot day, with a temperamental teenager in the car. Today the find came far to easy, name was in the log before I blinked my eyes. TFTC and bringing me back here Purple_Ninja_00
Found. Not before this big boy lizard and I gave each other a fright. Put the log into a ziplock because we all know how mint tins go. TFTC
Rock is gone but cache is safe, if you can find Grid 1 then you can find this one. TFTC
Found quickly even though my GPS had it 22Ms away and the hint did not match where I found it.Some caching ust be going on.when nobody is watching. TFTC.
Found 20 metres from where our GPS wanted us to look. FYI ignore the hint.

Travelling further down the road from Grid #1 and pulling much further off the road this time, I started hunting for the container, waiting for the numbers to settle as I searched all the likely spots and some less likely ones too. A heard a movement from a bush beside me and froze, only to see a hare burst out and bound across the road.....the teenagers didn't see it though, they were focused on their devices....much more interesting than real life I stopped and read a few logs which suggested this cache was in the pile of gravel and rubbish nearby. I had an eclipse tin in the glovebox so I have placed a temporary replacement in the likely spot similar to the hide at Grid 1, with a rock on top as well. If this is not acceptable then I will be happy to delete my log and wait til next trip for a smiley. Tfth and the nature experience Purple_Ninja_00
There was a lot of grading at the go, we widened our search, no luck though
Out caching for the weekend with the Tough Mother’s (Jemillalucy, Bennyboppers, and Lisylou). Found 12m from GZ. TFTC!
Weekend away with Benny boppers, Lisylou and Mnance101. Lovely day for a drive. Tftc
Out for the day with Kale of ranibaskale so we can find some hidden creatures and have a bit of an adventure. This was one of the caches we found today! Thanks for the cache, Purple_Ninja_00!
I hitched a ride with caro from Jess & Caro today and we went north to find a bunch of caches. They were great and I had fun. Thanks!
Found after a few minutes, not where the arrow pointed, but where the cache name suggests. Tnsl tftc PN00 xo
GPS was all over the place and no help what so ever. Read a previous log which was a great help and the cache was soon in hand. TFTC Purple_Ninja_00
Took me few mins find that as gps bouncing all over! Got signed and returned same place TFTC

We will be leaving very soon to attend the Red Centre Experience Event being held in Alice Springs and have decided we would try to make that event a milestone ... the only problem is we are a few hundred caches short This was the perfect excuse for a quick road trip through Nanango/Murgon/Kingaroy The weather was a little rainy, but surprisingly we remained relatively dry during the day with the worst of the rain occurring while we camped overnight [^]
We managed to locate this cache easily and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our journey.
Thank you Purple_Ninja_00 for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Leaving Nanango today but what's the rush. Packed up but then headed out to find just a few more caches before leaving after lunch.

After being idle and tied up with household chores over the last few weeks, It didn't take to much prodding to decide a mini road trip was in order.
After consulting the trusty map decided that a little adventure North through Yarraman, Narango and Kingaroy. And because youngoldfella places his caches along some great country roads the marjority of attempts would be on his caches, With a few others thrown in for good measure Nice cache thanks for bringing me here and for the adventure.
Thanks for the great cache and adventure Purple_Ninja_00

1959, Four members of The Platters were arrested after a gig in Cincinnati after being found with four 19 year old women, (3 of them white), in various stages of undress. The scandal resulted in radio stations across the US removing Platters records from their playlists.

A great day of caching with beautiful weather and glorious scenery. We managed to meet up with the splendid Sss - Stacevel, *SuzySquirrel* and Spinna76 and our joint caching activity added to our pleasure of the day. We got a bit sidetracked at a winery near the dam when an very necessary stop was made "to spend a penny" and resulted in wine tasting and leaving with a box under our arm. Nice to be able to make these sorts of stops as well as geocaching. We found this cache after a short search - nice one. Thanks to Purple_Ninja_00 for its placement and adding to our enjoyment of this location.
Out cheacking caches before the event. Cache was a bit rusty but ok and log replaced.
Out and about by myself while Mum visits a friend in town for a couple of hours.
So I headed north of town as there is a good chance I will be back for the December event.
Got to leave somewhere to cache.
A quick find here.
Thanks for the cache.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the area today. We started the day off by nominating a cache some distance away from our caravan park and then took a route mainly determined by the next closest cache according to our GPS.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 11m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.[font=Verdana]

Spending a few days up in the Kingaroy and Nanango districts and places closeby from my place in Brisbane. Due to the number of caches found, I have decided to do a generic log. To all the CO's, a big thank you for bringing us to your area and the many varied caches we found. Thank you for bringing us along the country road. TFTC
Having another annual caching trip to Nanango and Kingaroy with Richmond Lad. Last year we thought we had found most of them but some wonderful COs keep putting out more to entice us back to this lovely region of Queensland. We have driven along quiet , gum tree lined country roads, spotted some peaceful waterways and are becoming experts at stumps!!! Thank you to all the COs who have caches in this area - you are all doing a wonderful job creating, placing and maintaining your hides.
Being in the area we decided to clean a few more caches.
Knowing the location of this one as we had previously driven down this road several times should have been a sinch.
Nope wrong.
GPS had me over near the fence looking for rocks.
Ofcourse we found all the cobbles pegs which were know throughout my socks, pants & shirts.
Then geowife said here it is.
Der captain obvious, should have read the logs better.

Like the previous finder we assumed it would be somewhere else but found it in a very logical spot . Thanks Purple Ninja.
Finally!!! Found it. The gpsr'so all over the place here and the best we could get was: S26 35.090 E152 00.020 about 8mtrs of original coordinates. Yikes, I was plastered in farmers friends and didn't have to be lol. TFTC
Must learn to turn GPS on before looking. As soon as I followed the arrow I saw my error and had the cache in hand straight away. Cache was found safe and dry. TFTC, Purple_Ninja_00.
Accidentally parked RIGHT at GZ but not having my GPS turned on, I walked back up to the grid while it loaded to check out similar spots to last time. While The Marble and I were doing this, DisSister bent down, picked up the cache and made faces at us. Cheeky! TFTC, Purple_Ninja_00. =^.^=
I was expecting it to be elsewhere but it was in a very logical spot. Thanks Purple_Ninja_00.
