WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 45 - Collie day. It rained all night and it rained on and of fall day. I spent lots of time in the car waiting for rain to ease and way too much time running back to the car as the rain got too heavy. I am rally impressed by the ground drainage, some of the dirt tracks I went on were great despite all the rain. It was a difficult day, A few more DNFs than I would have like, but I did get to visit quite a few very interesting places and the tourist drive along the river was amazing. In the end I just went home and cooked dinner and watched TV, a bit unusual for me on a trip.My next side trip took me to three caches. As ever managing to stop when there is someone behind is a bit difficult. The no entry signs here are very imposing. I walked a bit further around a loop, before circling back to the cache. Thanks for the cache The Wild Wellers47627.11 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & June 2017 Fathers Who Cache A#362**Albida**
Camped at Potters Gorge & exploring the local area, this cache was our next stop... I made the quick find here whilst the rest of the family took a morning tea break TFTC The Wild Wellers Took TB.
Today TaurusSix and I decided to take a drive , pack a picnic and clear up outstanding caches across a wide area and do some maintenance on our own caches in a kinda planned, circular route. We started the day by heading in the Ludlow then Capel direction, then onto Donnybrook and then the back roads around Grimwade. Then up through more back roads to Collie before heading back to Bunbury. The morning started off chilly but you could see it was going to be a lovely sunny , winters day and sure enough by mid morning it was glorious. It was lovely seeing the steam coming from the dew off the paddocks first thing and we were blessed to see lots of wildlife including bird life along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed travelling the roads less travelled today.
This is our fourteenth cache find of the day. We wondered what the connection would be to Robin Hood with this cache. Then we saw the name of the forest and realised it was a great cache name. Cache quickly found, logged and replaced. Thanks for the cache The Wild Wellers .

With a unofficial geocaching event in Collie this weekend Meme28 and myself hatched a plan to escape the city for the weekend. We started early and with no one holding us back we are caching all the way to Collie. Our aim to find some caches to fill our challenge needs, old caches, high favourite caches and just whatever else takes our fancy. This cache was found in good condition thanks to CO’s for placing these caches for our enjoyment.
Last pickup for the night with ICNothing. Luckily not too far in the bush! Thank you.

SVKR_WA and I decided it was long overdue for a day out so we hatched a plan to head south towards Bunbury for a day of caching.
Not to much planned, we decided to wing it and grab what ever came our way.
Thanks heaps to The Wild Wellers for placing and maintaining Robin Hood. We found your cache today. I added my name to the log and replaced where I found it.

Suscoe headed out for another wonderful day of caching around this area.
We headed north and then out through the Ferguson Valley to Collie and return.
What a wonderful countryside, so green and the trees look great.
Thanks to The Wild Wellers for this hide, found fairly quickly.
We had an interesting crive from Collie as there were prescribed burns going on very close to the road and the businesses on the south side of town.
Some big flames here and there.

We stopped the geo-truck a short distance away and crept into Sherwood Forrest realizing that Robin and his merry men could appear at any moment! Worse still the Sherriff of Nottingham may be lying in wait and grab us instead of that naughty band of scoundrels. I could have sworn that Friar Tuck was sitting somewhere nearby however it may have also been the solid stump of a giant jarrah tree. Grabbed the cache, signed the log and returned it and retreated before any arrows whistled overhead. and
After our event in Mandurah we headed to Manjimup to see my kids, and pick up some caches along the way.tftc,sl, tnln.
Last find for the day. Was going to save it for another day but just couldn't resist one more. Tftc
On me cruising around the forests today, I did not expect to meet men in tights [:o]
Here at GZ, I hitched up me shorts and went a wandering in search of a cache
With no idea why this cache makes reference to Robin Hood,
I followed the arrow to find GZ
I was all a quiver as I poked around for the prize.
Prize found
TFTC.
"What do you call a potty for toddlers ??"
"Little John" [:o)]
oops sorry !! this isn't one of the SW PUN series is it

Today Loudy16 and I are headed down to Busselton to catch up with a few geo-mates. With the highways all closed due to the fires, we set off at first light and aimed to grab a few caches on the Albany Hwy detour.
Loudy16 made the find here, cache a little worse for wear, but still intact and findable.
TFTC The Wild Wellers.

It had to be done didn't it? Nice little cache. Few too many mint tins cropping up, not great in such lovely countryside!
Nice find on a freezing frosty morning 2nd cache today on way to Busselton for wagb event tftc
Another nice walk to GZ. Funny to be in Sherwood Forest. I have been in the UK Sherwood Forest too and met the "real" Robin Hood haha. Cache was easily found and in good condition. TFTC The Wild Wellers.
11:05:00 AM. We were heading to Wellington dam to camp but in the end it didn;t turn out that way and we continued on. Took me too long to find this well hidden cache in a spot I had already looked.
