Last one on our little trip out this afternoon. SL at 4.47pm #4615 TFTC CarterClan6
Tonight we made the journey to Ballarat on a specific mission to finish of the first D/T loop for both Sims_family and Neville_Devil. Ausfox; was also along for the support and driver for the night. Unfortunately we failed in that mission for but we did manage some good few other caches along the way, as well as a lot of laughs.
We felt a little uncomfortable hunting around back fences in the dark and were very happy that we made a quick find and didn't disturb any of the locals.
Thank you CarterClan6 for the smiley sorry for the late log

Find No. 1842. Found with FUF009 at 1.57pm.
Down in Ballarat with FUF009 who had an appointment to attend. After lunch it was time to do a bit of caching before heading home. We managed to get five caches plus one DNF for the afternoon.
A walk around the area and soon we had the cache in hand. Signed the log and off we went to our next one on our list.

Find # 4322
Found with Tyred n Cranky
Down in Ballarat for the usual appointment, after lunch we headed off to claim some smileys.
The perfect example of "hidden in plain sight" mind you we both were looking the the wrong tree for a couple of minutes.

In Ballarat for a chilly night of caching with TheSims Family and Neville Devil.
Thankfully the dogs were quite and the Police car we pasted was heading away from us as three guys with head torches hanging around near back yard fences didn't look good at night but we made a quick find and on our way again.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache CarterClan6

This was a second attempt for me on this one, I was thrown a little by the hint, certainly didn't find the log in a bison tube and the dogs next door were trying real hard to give my presence away! Great little park here and such a lovely day today TFTC
What a great park! Found the cache quickly. Just as well as the dog nearby was barking lots. TFTC
Found. This was fairly easy to find although the cache was not as described in the description. Loved the water park nearby. TFTC
Second attempt at this cache - too many muggles last time!!! Nice little hide. TFTC
The ageing Bushfire made a bad decision to cache in Ballarat today and not check on some of his caches that may need some maintenance and then find a few green squares that need to be changed into smiley faces down on the Bellarine Peninsular.
First there was the Meredith Folk festival and hundreds were leaving and being checked by the police at numerous locations and this really slowed things down.
My next problem was the Begonia Festival in Ballarat with a huge turnout for that event.
I then made a bad decision to grab as many caches in the new cemetery and did not know that they lock the gates at 5 o’clock and you guessed it I was locked in.
It took me 30 minutes to find a way out through the bush and then finally found a way out over a fence and through a private vacant block phew I could have been in here until the following morning.
Another problem I may have is a camera car as I was trying to find my way back to the Geelong Road.
Maybe I should have stayed home.
After being down along the Yarrowee Creek I decided to grab another that was not on my list today but then there are so many in Ballarat that I have to convert into smilies.
With the local noisy dog telling everybody that somebody was in the area I made my way to GZ where there was a family of magpies sheltering from the heat.
Well they have added to the camo of the hide but I could find no sign of a bison but found the log only in a zip lock bag.
Maybe somebody needed a bison tube and nicked it.
Thanks to the CarterClan6 for placing this cache.

On a day out for mums birthday with the help of geodad we had this one in hand nice and easy. Great little find. We previously had a dnf here. We must have been blind as it was a nice easy one today. Tftc!
Moneydork and Mrs Moneydork had very kindly invited me, last November, for a caching trip to Victoria over the Australia Day weekend [:X]
A massive trip with 13 DNFS and 318 finds over 7 days and many kilometers of travel
My knees don't want to bend anymore after a massive ride on the Ballarat Skipton Rail Trail and then about 145 finds the next day while finishing the Dad's Mt. Disappointment Driving Lesson series [xx(] Seems my driving lesson was about me keeping both feet on the ground as I broke my own record by doing the autumn leaf thing 4 times in one day [xx(]
Still a fantastic trip with great sights and lots of cache finds [^]
That wasn't much of a retirement Thanks for the cache

A straight forward find.
Out and about with Moneydork and Locus Cache. We stayed in the same accommodation with the idea that we would tackle some of the local caches in Ballarat including the rail trail and challenge caches. This is one of the caches we targeted.
Thanks for the cache CarterClan6!

What a cool Australia Day extra long weekend! I drove from Adelaide to Victoria and did heaps of fun stuff, including:
*attending a dinner event in Inverleigh [^]
*attending an Australia Day event near St Kilda [^]
*caching around Ballarat [^]
*squealing whilst going on some 4wd tracks (inadvertently)
*hanging with the awesome Wozzle68 [:X]
*caching with Moneydork and Locus Cache [:X]
*riding on the Ballarat to Skipton Rail Trail - first time on a bike in over 20 years!!
*accidentally bike riding straight over a big black snake that was about 1.5m long [xx(]
*walking like a cowboy after all of that bike riding! haha [:o)]
*LOADS of giggles and awesome adventures!!! [^]
I LOVE geocaching!!! [:X]

A short detour from the main road soon had me at this little park and aother smile on my map. Lovely to,remember someone in this way TFTC Carter lan6
After looking at the map for this area, we noticed a few missing smilies and after checking back through our notes have found we failed to log some of our finds. We had found ourselves unexpectedly staying a little longer in the area due to our car breaking down and needing fixing ... and the weather decided to take a cold turn as well!
We enjoyed our walk in the area and had little difficulty locating the cache.
Thank you CarterClan6 for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy.

A quick and easy find as we cache our way through the area with mcsee&petal today. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Not quite a walk in the park, but a nice stroll the the back of it, where we soon had this cache in hand.
Thanks Carter Clan6 for this placement.

Find #1066 for me. I found this one straight away today. The hint doesn't quite match the cache now since what I found certainly wasn't a bison tube, but still easily spotted. Thanks for placing a cache here CarterClan6!
I had previously had a DNF on this one. I am not at all sure what happened then, but today it was a very quick find.
Nice quick find on my lunch brack. Had to be quick as alot of brarking was coming out from the other side. TFTC SL
Another quick park and grab. Some muggles parked in the carpark but were far enough away to not notice what i was doing. Tftc. RIP Karen

Having heard on the grapevine, there was to be some interesting caching activity in Ballarat today, we decided it was an excellent opportunity to chase some more smilies and visit a few more of our "To Do" caches on our Ballarat list.
It was rewarding and fun. The barking alarms were certainly activated as we approached today.
Our thanks to CarterClan6 for placing this cache.

Very slowly making my way through this series, but thoroughly enjoying the hides! TFTC
Carter Clan, while the cache is missing, could you please Temporarily Disable the cache via a log so as to stop it showing up on searches?
My second attempt at this , so i brought back up with me. Runna and his muggle friend had no luck either.
Searched again for your cache V is for Karen Overington but with the dogs barking wildly next door didn't stay too long and couldn't find it today
A bit tricky, probably not an ideal cache to go for as our first (impromptu) night time find! We overlooked it at first but a comment about "the obvious" made us go back for a second look. Very nice hide; TFTC!
I stopped to log this cache while visiting the area. Thanks for the cache. A favourite from me.
Our 4th day camped at Creswick, and today we decided to go to Ballarat to pick up a few caches.
Parked near by, and the cache was spotted quickly. Signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, CarterClan6, for us and others to find.

Thankfully behind the fence at GZ was a persistent barking dog who did not give up the whole time we were there and we thought it would not be long before the owner came out but fortunately not. A quick easy find in the obvious spot to continue on our consecutive days of finds. TFTC
Quick and easy find
Thanks for the opportunity to stretch my legs and add another smiley to my map

Up for a rare visit in Ballarat and actually had a bit of spare time this time around to look for a few caches. This one was the nearest and the first one for the day. Nice construction on the cache hide, luckily I spotted it quickly! Thanks for the cache Carter Clan6.
Well this was fun. ... after finding a logical hiding spot, we found no log.. .. bugger. But the little blue man eyes were better than mine, and he saw the log on the ground! Yay! Back safe and well now.
A quick find in this little park. Good to see people out and about enjoying the weather. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.
This was a quick one with mum. Sorry for late log, I wasn't premium when we found it. Tftc
Found with Madieisawesome. Cool hidey hole. This was a quick log and run after the next doors dog started barking. Tftc
Quick stop and log tonight with kenbryl. Another contributing cache toward the alphabet challenge. Tftc
We found a very clever hole made into a rock but no cache here. We think it has gone missing.
Although lots of people were around they were watching the footy.
A nice quick find.

Thanks for the cache. Quick find with McLookers this afternoon. Thanks CarterClan6.
No problems here today. Parked close by and just happened to walk right up to it. That was good. Nicely hidden container and camo.

TFTC. Great camo. Found with mm1012. Just one of a couple caches for the geocaching birthday weekend.
#577 3:17pm TFTC... Up in Ballarat to support the Melbourne Chargers Rugby Club take on the Ballarat Rat Pack and of course do some caching afterwards. There are SO many up here I must come back another day. Nice quick find
Found by geokid while I was still searching nice hide glad the area was muggle free so was nice and quiet TFTC
Tftc. Nice quick find again, kids were leaving the playground so fluked 2 minutes without muggles
Ballarat was our next stop on our meandering route from Adelaide to Melbourne to catch the boat back to Tassie. We spent a day caching in the area.
Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a well constructed hide. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache CarterClan6.

Found by Mary & David at 1015. At least the temperature has risen into double digits now. We are heading home by a roundabout route today after 3 wonderful days of caching in beautiful Ballarat. This is another area we knew nothing about. Great facilities here, but we loved the autumn colours of the ornamental trees best - they looked as though they'd been dipped in fire. Pity about the nearby yappy dog. Our thanks to CarterClan6.

Due to complaints about the nearby dog I am disabling this one. I will be moving to to another location shortly
Out and about today with sulkybear and our two geokids (aged 4 & 5). As today was master 4's birthday (my baby is growing up) we decided the Sebas playground ones would be perfect. All were nice easy finds. Thanks for the caches and a lovely morning of caching and playing.
Out as a team today as it is my birthday and hope to secure our 4,000th cache. Thought this was going to be a quick up so Mr stayed in the car. he did the research and joined me as he could see that I was still looking. Co ords are not bad but it took us wayto long to put our hands on it. Its all about the angle you are looking from

I used to be bad at finding caches on guns but I think finding bisons in trees is right up there on my hard to do list.
Took ages until I spotted it. Retrieved the log and body of the cache but took just as long then to find the reattachment piece so I could put it back again.
Cheers
