Tried for a while, thought we were onto a winner... but no. Oh well, something to come back and try again
On my way to soccer today I thought I'd stop by and try to find this cache. So after parking as close as I could, I made my way to GZ on foot. Once there I made a reasonably quick find. So the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in it's spot all ready for the next hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. I even had time for a swim.... Just kidding!
This is geo streak day #1002 in a row for me. TFTC

Neat little hiding spot! Forgot our pen but daughter swapped a toy bee out for one of the treasures! TFTC!!!
Out and about with TheMexiKiwi and another one on the list to do today.
Nice and easy stroll to GZ and the cache was soon found though it seems the area has seen a little wear and tear recently. Cache all good though and one more down for the day - TFTC

We are determined this year to fill our dot day calendar, so being a said dot day a cache was needed. This was the closest to Mrs HeMaLuDy's work today and so was the targeted cache. There is new construction over the road with a number of workers around but they all appeared to be busy and not paying attention to the random walking up, then down the street as I discovered you needed to go back to go forward, or straight across but I wasn't keen for wet feet. Very pleased I took a change of shoes this morning as it was very muddy underfoot with all the recent rain. Once at GZ it was a quick spot of the cache, something that looks at home but also a little out of place. Log signed and back through the mud to the car. Clever camo here.
The weather was god today for some time so I decided to go and find some Geocaches in Mission Heights.
Took me a while to find the Access to the Cache. Found it quick then, great hide, liked it!
Thanks for hiding this one!

On a day trip to Auckland today. After finishing my work commitments for the day, I had time to find a few more caches before I had to head to the airport and home. The cache is definitely there, just very well camo'd. Found this one after a short search. PPP - 197 - Saturn -> ... TFTC, Biggles,
A nice morning for a bike ride, 2 lake and 6 caches, thanks for the placement and getting us out and about on our bikes
When arrived near GZ knew it straigh away where cache should be located Nice hide. TFTC
Took a while to get to the right area as GPS was bouncing around. Spotted something that looked a possibility and there it was.
Nice after-work visit to this park. Reading past logs helpful, there's a hint (or two) right there. Very nicely done, cleverly hidden. Here, have an FP. TFTC
Tried to get to gz from the wrong side - we got within a few metres and had to turn back! Nice little area. None of us went swimming, although we thought we might have to! Will come back another day approaching from a different angle.
WOW very cool cache . . . . . so many bugs though we found it and signed it and then we moved on to Clevedon to find some more. thanks for the hide
Here with my Girl Guides today as they learn about Geocaching and these are on our way back from breakfast. I knew what we were looking for as I saw a spoiler picture but I never told the girls and they found this very quickly. I did think it was a little exposed so moved it about one foot backwards to not look like a sore thumb . . . . . TFTC . . . . .
We are doing the Geocaching badge in our Guide unit and we had just attended the breakfast of Geocachers Anonymous at Dennys. Our leader had some caches planned for us to find so we headed off and this was our third find today. This was a very cool hide! But it was full of ants that looked like spiders to us! Great hide, thank you
We took the long and more difficult way round (both times) but quickly spotted the potential hiding spot. Clever camo but log was extremely soggy and almost impossible to write on. Sorry car was too far away to grab a new log. Think this needs some CO attention Woah big ants too!! Thanks and great hide
Needed a cache today to continue my streak for my GIO licence, and GIO had requested that we find something other than a micro, in the hopes of the possibility of finding something to trade. So after a busy day today, I scoured the map for a cache on our route home, that I hadn't already found, that would fit the bill. Turns out there weren't many, but this one was on the way home, so I suggested that we try this one. She agreed- whew!
Parked along one fof the side streets and wandered down- past the playground, which I had trouble convincing her to leave. Made our way to GZ and initially overshot, then took a look around and spotted something that was probably why the cache got its name. Once there, geo-daughter (Wolfie109) said "there it is" and pointed into the bushes a little. She was right- there was the cleverly-constructed cache!
Opened up the outer container, and the ants were NOT happy with us! Wow, they grow them HUGE in Flat Bush!!! Used a stick to lever the cache out, and had just dusted off the ants when Wolfie109 says "wasp's nest!" What?!?!? Where??? Luckily, it was a dead one- a minute or two of careful observation revealed that! Whew!
There were two logs inside- the original, watter logged one and the newer one. Removed the waterlogged one to hopoefully help keep the cache a little drier, as the new log was slightly damp, too. I didn't have any replacements with me, having cached in a skirt and with my handbag today - in fact I didn't even have any suitable pieces of paper in my handbag, which was surprising! So I replaced the newer log carefully, and made sure the ziplock bag and inner container were closed securely before replacing the outer container.
Off we went back to the car, ready for the half and hour drive home, just as the skied were beginning to darken....
TFTC NZTravellers! Very cool.... fave point added!

UGH! Those ants really are HUGE. Lovely cammo, so good even the wildlife loves it. TFTC
When we arrived there was a council worker cutting the grass but fortunately he wasn't close enough to GZ to cause any problems.
We were lucky to make the find quickly as we began searching in exactly the right spot. Great camo, very cleverly done and also very popular with a community of giant ants who have made it their home. We have never seen any so huge and had to be careful to avoid them as we were opening and signing the log.
Replaced cache as we found it and took a look around the area before departing. Thanks for bringing us to this peaceful spot.

Parked twice, but both times I was on the wrong side of the water ! Finally found a way to walk around !
Soon found the cache ! Thanks for making this different type of container NZT !

Ant infestation! Seems like a great family of ants has decided to call your cache home - doesn't effect the logbook or anything, but good luck if you don't like bugs! Tftc
Approached the cache GZ and quickly spotted what we were looking for. Took care when we finished to reset the cache so that it looked as natural as possible.
1 May, found with the Harminder, Amrit, uncle Balbir, Nihaal, Rasleen, Piaree, Gur Parsaad and Pat. Very well made geocache.
Very clever hide but unfortunately has become home to a large ants nest with some of the biggest ants I have ever seen in NZ. Cache was wet but new log was well protected and dry. TFTC.
Out with Okayness after an event at Totara Park. A quick find once we got to GZ. Log was pretty wet so emptied water out of container and have added another log and plastic bag. Nice camo. TFTC
Easy car park - on other side! Its now nearly 3 o'clock so time to start winding down, but a few more to find yet on our day trip out Ormiston/Flat bush way. The log book is very wet though.
I overshot GZ so initially nothing stood out as a likely hide. Once the gps settled down it took me to the real GZ and a quick find followed. Nice camo.

I'm currently attempting a 50 day streak for the GIO Licence I am working on and as an added challenge a few of the SEAC crew are joining in.
Parked up on the 'wrong' side of the water but saw how to get around easily enough. As I got out the car I met some local kids playing around on their bikes who told me to be careful - not sure of what or whom but I went along anyway.
Spotted where I thought it would be but nope so scanned the area and saw something that I just knew was it. Sure enough the log was soon in hand still well hidden from the kids. Container was a little wet so emptied it and dried as well as possible. Log still good. Unfortunately the lid seems to have swollen a bit because whatever I did it wouldnt go back on fully - still fits the theme of the area and unlikely to be noticed.
Thanks for the cache and a favourite for the camo. Streak day #29.

This was my first geocache and rookie mistake I forgot to take a pen, so I didn't fill in the log. I'll know better next time.
Lovely trees in this area. Soon spotted the cache from a distance and all these little bugs scattered when I opened the log! Just returning to my car and a guy passed by and asked if I was Gorby. I said I was and he too was a geocacher: stevecoxnz. (Nice to meet you and have a chat) He had just found the cache too not more than a minute after me! He was heading of to 'Mi Casa' while I sat in my car in the warm sun logging this entry on C:Geo.

Had about 5 minutes left on my caching clock last weekend and made a desperate bid for this one only to find I had chosen the wrong side of the pond, so nice to return today park on the right side and take a leisurely stroll to the cache.

Out walking this rapidly changing suburb before the heat of the day set in. Because no swimming was allowed to alleviate the heat, it was reward enough to have this cache in hand fairly quickly. Thanks NZTravellers for the effort going in with the camo on some of these caches. Deserves a favourite. TFTC
OUt collecting a few caches at lunch time before my next meeting. Found convenient parking not too far away and quickly made the discovery. Nice hide, well constructed
thanks for the placement
thanks for the placement
FAVORITE. For a moment I thought it was the other one, but quickly corrected my thinking. TFTC.
Happy new year. Found straight away but didn't realise until looking everywhere else. Great day for caching. TFTC
Over the past couple of days I have been taking some medicine to diminish the caching withdrawal symptoms by visiting a few caches. Today is another medicine taking day with the symptoms slowly diminishing.
As I approached the GZ I noticed something not quite right and yep, there it was.
Cheers for the cache.

Returning from a walk out in the Hunua Ranges today with the Future Finder. As we were passing by we determined to collect a couple of caches. This was the last one before home. Took us a couple of goes to find a sensible way to GZ. Spotted the cache on approach as I was genuinely surprised to spot such a thing in such a spot. But I am sure that is just peculiar to me. Ants have set up a colony in the camo (just like in one of mine); brace yourself for the ant themed logs! Anyway, all good here. Cheers for the cache placement!
Had a super day out with Josie and her owner finding lots of caches all around this area. Parked near this cache and had no trouble locating the cache before heading off to the other one in the area. Thanks for this cache
Not much chance of me swimming here, but that wasnt going to stop my caching buddy, Josie. I have seen better looking storm water ponds. These look m ore like mosquito breeding ponds. Thanks.
Started in the wrong spot initially. Felt like I was going on a bear hunt, well I can't go over it, I can't go through it... perhaps around?? Got to the right place eventually. Spotted a birds nest and thought no... could it be? No, surely not. Just at that moment Mr F called me over as he made the find. Oooo. Nice cache container/camo
Clever camo...I was just saying to Mr P, "What do you thin about looking at that?" Voila, took ages to get back together correctly. t4tc
Didn't have much work on, so I popped out for "lunch" :-p as this was just up the road.
Took me a while to find this one as the tree cover played with my iphone. And then I thought.....I think I might know what the CO might have used for this cache...and then I saw it. Gets a fav point from me.

I was enticed out for an FTF attempt by this new listing, and having obtained an FTF on another cache by the same CO just recently, was excited to go see what awaits.
Got half way there when another cache was posted very close to my current location so took a detour thinking I had better odds for the FTF... not the right choice.... beaten by this CO. Noting this was still logless (is that a word???) I headed over, found a park and went a slightly long way to GZ. On the way I bumped into mike-miss. Due to chatting we over shot GZ slightly and whilst reading out the cache page details to mike-miss he quickly made the find.
Nicely constructed cache.
TFTC NZTravellers.
And nice to catch up with mike-miss again.

Out FTF'ing another cache when this one was published - http://coord.info/GC5GWXF and thought i'd have no chance with another FTF on my way home. As no new caches out this way had been logged yet, i decided i'd head to the botanic gardens to try my luck. Too slow on that one as i spotted the the found log come through while i was stuck in traffic.
No logs on this cache as yet, so redirected the GPS and made my way towards GZ. Parked up and headed towards where the GPS was pointing. Hmmmm something doesn't seem quite right...? Phone tells me im 150m away and then realised i'd punched a wrong digit into the GPS whilst driving up the motorway [B)].
Sorted that out and headed towards the real GZ. On my approach, bumped into Stik-a-Crane coming from the other direction. Quickly we spotted something worth investigating and yes, it was the nicely camo'd and constructed cache. Blank log revealed we were first so a joint FTF for our efforts this evening. TFTC!

Found this morning with Zarik the Babaric, Ryan the lion and princess Jasmine, parked on the wrong side and got the leg on loose barb wire, rolled down the hill together with the princess, princess not hurt but leg bleeding, found the cache after first aid, love the originality of the cache, well done it deserves a favorite point.
