Finally have this monkey off my back as I struggled to locate the correct link for the solve. A previous finder assisted or held my hand through it.
Was in the area, so adjusted and detoured towards GZ for a straight forward find in a logical spot, thanks for the puzzle and placement Digby23

Once the puzzle was grocked then I could go and find this one.
It took a while for the first step though.
Lovely little park and clever hide, great cammo.
Thanks Digby23

I had solved the puzzle ages ago, and today while roaming through Turramurra I paid the cache a visit. All good and signing duties carried out.

We found it roughly in the area.
Because we suspected that it was not in the correct place we put it back where we believed it should be.

We came with friends when there was nothing better to do
The cache was out and about, so it was put back in a place related to the name.
We took nothing and left nothing.
We signed the log.

Finally got this one today. I had been attacking the puzzle in a technical way that was getting me nowhere. After some correspondence with the C.O. it appeared that good old pencil and paper was the correct approach. At GZ I was a bit off but after widening my search I was able to find the well camoed cache. Thanks for the cache Digby23 !
OK, for those that are watching, I have added n extra clue in the 'Hint'. The puzzle still works if you follow the instructions to the letter... PRINTED letter that is!

Fortunately, we had the Brewmobile rather than a snowmobile, otherwise we may have never made it to this little park. We had some idea of what we needed to do to solve the puzzle, but something wasn't quite working, as we sat . We now know that Groundspeak has added a few new attributes, which may have reordered the required items. But with a bit of PAF help, we soon knew we had the right digits and off we went.
At GZ, it was an instant find to become temporary tube artists. Nice park with zero muggle activity as the skies were looking a bit on the dark side. TFTC

Loved the puzzle, easy find at GZ. A Favourite point from me. OCW Brewmaker. TFTC Digby23
Today we headed up to Hornsby to do some shopping, stopping off on the way at Turramurra for a solved Mystery/Puzzle cache, and then after the shopping to do some caching around Normanhurst for another solved Mystery/Puzzle cache and a couple of new Traditionals. Also revisited an old DNF and another waypoint of a longish Multi that we have been slowly working on. This was the 1st of 5 finds, and 1 waypoint, for the day.
Well it's been quite a while since we started working on this one, with both of us having the right idea but just not being able to get the coord numbers to correctly appear. But the family's chief puzzle solver decided to have a fresh look at it the other day and managed to crack it, getting some likely looking numbers to feed the GPSr.
And so today it was first on our cache target list, stopping off at Turramurra's Irish Town Grove for a look. Parked the snowmobile outside of the reserve, as they are not permitted inside, and then headed over to GZ and made a nice quick find of the nicely camoed cache container. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. Thanks Digby23 for the puzzle & cache.

Today is a satisfying day of collecting puzzle caches close to home after a very successful puzzle solving evening at the CCC event recently.
Thanks to some blatant shoves in the right direction, I was able to find the numbers I needed without too much difficulty, and learned a new trick to add to my toolbox for puzzle solving. What a nice little spot hidden behind the houses!

A neat puzzle, where I could see what had to be done, but still took a few goes to work out where to start. A very nice container that was surprisingly dry inside given the recent weather. TFTC.
We first came across this cache over a year ago. At the time we made certain assumptions but could not solve the puzzle. We looked at it a few times since but just couldn’t make headway. Finally we approached the CO who very kindly gave us a nudge. It was then that the penny dropped and we were able to make headway. Took one detour but we were soon set right.
Having solved the puzzle we decided to go out and find it straight away. Geoson liked the concept and said that it was a very neat puzzle. GZ was easily found as the Garmin did not disappoint. The cache container was nicely camouflaged. SLTNLN.

When I read the cache description I didn't know where to begin. Then oldmorty passed on a hint he'd received from the CO. Still took a little while to work out what the clue meant, but further research had me on the right track. Arriving at GZ oldmorty and I had to wait for muggles to clear the area, then it was action stations. I ran to what I thought was the cache. It turned out to be a native bee hive. There was a lot of toing and froing and back and forth. I searched high and low with no success. The drizzling rain didn't help either, with water running down my back. Then I heard a snigger from behind me. Oldmorty got to the cache first. Great camouflage Digby23 and well done for another great cache. A favourite point from me in appreciation.
This one has been on the drawing board for a couple of months. I'd done some of the CO's other caches and was keen to do this one, however, it had the better of me for several weeks. I thought I was on the right track with solving it but got a bit bogged down, so I reverted to messaging the CO for advice as to whether I was on the track. He gave me a bit of a nudge and then it all made sense. After calculating the coords, a drizzly Sunday morning seemed like a good time to search for the cache. Frazeydaze and I arrived near GZ to be confrontef by about fifty people. They cannot also be looking for the cache; nope a nearby house auction had just finished. We parked the car and before alighting I saw something that looked suspicious. Frazeydaze was off like a flash, and before I was out of the car she called out, nope just a native bee home someone had attached to a tree. We searched for approx twenty mins, back and forth across the creek, before oldmorty spied the very well camo cache. TFTC Digby23 and we are now off to do the last of your caches in this area.
Well this had me puzzled. I tried a few methods but ended up nowhere near. It was oldmorty who suggested maybe the title was a start. More intel and it all became clear. So simple in the end but brilliant. Visited gz today with heavy winds and branches falling around me. Scarier than Halloween! Found the cache, signed and returned. TFTC Digby23. Please tell me there are more to come!
Previously logged under team account BoogieRogue. Re-logging with my individual account. This had me scratching my head for a while. Then had to resort to PAF for a hint after which I made a quick find. TFTC.

After finding other nearby caches from this CO I wrote this one off thinking I needed some special equipment.
A chat with the CO about something unrelated assured me I had made a massive incorrect assumption.
A second look at the puzzle and I immediately saw what I needed to do......no idea why I jumped to such an incorrect idea previously.
I'd say on the coords for a couple of months before heading to GZ this morning. It's a lovely grove and I had the place to myself.
iPhone had me in circles for a while but once it settled a sensible spot was identified and CIH
A fav point for a fun puzzle and a nice hide

After looking for 20 minutes we couldn't find anything that looked like a "Tube artist" the clue garment didn't really help either... very new to Geocatch so I'm not sure what to look for in this clue.....
Day 9 of the streak to fill the calendar - A friend and I had tried to solve this cache over a year ago, but we couldn't come up with the right combination. Then I ran into the CO at Pie for Pi with Skye Pi day event. It only took a small hint from him for us to understand how to work it out. My friend solved and visited the cache within a month. It took me 18 months to decide to finally solve the cache. I will have to remember this type of puzzle in case I come across it again. The final location wasn't far from work so once I finished for the night I headed off to do a little caching. I parked nearby then headed toward the GZ. My GPS didn't really want to settle, so I started checking out likely spots. A few possibilities later and I had CIH. After signing the log it wasn't overly late. So I decided to go after another nearby Digby cache. Woo. TFTC.
With the coordinates we got from solving the puzzle, we ended up out in The Pacific. A minor adjustment, based upon the probable location had us up against the fence.
We then took to grazing through the park to look at locations which 'felt' like being possible, and then we found the cache in a nice hidey hole.

After having to message co three times, I finally worked it out and retrieved cache today. 600th and memorable!
Caching with Dinkyfish and our little geodaughters. I needed some prods from DF to decipher the clues and get some meaningful numbers. DF made the find. Thx for another memorable cache.
(630) Found after a long hike from the previous cache.
I had read about this type of puzzle, so I was able to recognise it pretty much straight away when I saw it. The hide was the really hard bit. A combination of great camo and a vacillating GPSr made the find quite tricky. I looked in a lot of places before I spied something.
Walking back to the train station was fun. So many gigantic houses! Downton Abbey ain't in it.
Thanks Digby23!
Took the TBs and will move them on very soon.

After finding a couple of new caches in the area, we came to the little Princes Street shopping centre for some refreshments. While there, Mr MR explained the solution to this cache so afterwards we took a pleasant stroll into the Grove to pick it up.
When the cache was pulled out there were a few spiders attached which gave Mr MR a start, the wimp. He took the TB.
Thank you again Digby23.

We were here the other day but I had not solved the puzzle, so just had a look around while visiting the shops nearby. Yesterday I had a more serious look at the listing and came up with credible coordinates, so called in during our drive south. GZ was more accessible than I thought it would be, but I did swap from side to side a lot as the GPS could not make up its mind. Eventually it settled, when a better place to search was found and there was the nicely hidden cache. A TB was left, thanks to Digby23 for a great puzzle and hide, have a point for your clever work.

With rain imminent, I decided today was a good day to head out on my mountain bike to pick up a few caches around the North Turramurra area. I set off via Bobbin Head and was able to quickly complete Samuel King and Make it Quick. I had recently logged a DNF here and was determined to conjure up a set of coords that I was much more confident with. I previously didn't use some of the info and this turned out to be the problem. A slight adjustment making sure that I took a total top to bottom approach and a new spot revealed itself to be worthy of a search. Still took a bit of sniffing out, but its amazing how you search more thoroughly when you are confident of the location. Once I found the container (very nice), it made me laugh when I thought back to where I searched previously and the sort of things I was looking for. Two Digby23 caches in one day. Can it get any better than this? Fav awarded for combination of puzzle and container.

Having found the secrets of Halfpenny Park on my way here, I was hoping my luck would continue. I originally attempted to use the method at Ulolo Park but I couldn't make everything fit nicely. I later 'noticed' that there were multiple inconsistent rules so this was definitely the wrong approach. Suddenly discovered something that was an exact fit, but how to apply? Is the index zero based? Should I use the specific set or the definition??? Soon enough, a set of likely numbers eventuated but some were not used - hmmm - low degree of confidence but enough to try my luck.
Spent a bit of time searching but left with a DNF. Will have another look at the numbers with a fresh set of eyes another day. Thanks Digby but too good for me today.

We worked out was what required and did our calculations beck in June when we did our first Digby23 geocaches (aren't they great?!) but didn't make our way to GZ. Today we rectified that. We entered GZ from the back way. Some big trees must have gone over here back at the time of the big storms late last year. At GZ we found a classic D23 well-made and cleverly installed container which shed light on the cache name. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
For this week's geo-fix with Opa-Shrek I decided it would be good to grab the handful of unknown and multi caches around these parts, so in preparation a few nights ago I pulled out all the puzzles to see what I could do with them..... This one seemed immeadiately do-able so was out on the to-do list, but when I returned to do what I thought I needed to do the numbers didn't quite work out the way I thought they would.... Probably overthinking it somewhat, despite my reservations, I hit up the local caching community to confirm or deny my suspicions on a slightly different track - and with that suspicion denied (and a bunch of locals now off solving this one like it was a race!) I returned to where I was previously... And went just that next step farther, and immeadiately came upon numbers that I knew straight away would work. Cleverly simple, just the way I like it.
Fast forward to today, and we headed on over to GZ - where in it immeadiately became dissappointingly apparent that GZ was not, as I had hoped, in or near a graffiti filled tunnel.... Nonetheless, the hide was quickly spotted at GZ, and my disappointment faded to glee as I explored the uniquely constructed and camo'd cache We exchanged TBs and formalities, and headed on our way.... Just in time As a muggle headed our way walking her pooch.
Thanks for the fun on this one Digby23!

This week's geo get together with Mumma-Kel brought us down the M1 to the leafy Upper North Shore. In preparing for the visit, we'd checked out the puzzles in the area and Mumma-Kel was able to come up with some logical coords for this one. How logical could only be determined today ... and pleasingly, we found the container just where we expected it to be.
I decided this was as good a place as any for a TB that wanted to head to London (and which I'd found a couple of days ago out Warragamba way) to hitch a ride, so I dropped it into the container while signing the visitor's book.
Thanks for this cache Digby, and for the smiley too..

Did the calculations this afternoon in advance of our return to Turramurra after a fun day geocaching in the neighbourhood yesterday. Was hoping to make it here for a milestone of 2,100 geocaches. After a failed start, I was put on the right track, then it only meant using some very simple maths. Once I had the co-ords I came past today and walked straight to GZ to make the find. SL, TNLN and replaced. Great simple little puzzle Digby23, TFTC.
May has been a pretty poor caching month for me - but that was OK as April had been a bumper, and things should even out I reckon.
Like some others, I took the wrong path initially to solving this one, but couldn't find an alternate path. In the end, I resorted to asking for a hint.

Second Digby23 cache for the day.
I was initially stumped by this even though I'd used my 'Garman' and had looked at the right things but just not in the right order. I'd received a tip about where to get the right info but had put this on the backburner even though it was fairly close to home. But just last week I'd given Team Canary a nudge in the right direction and he'd found it a few days ago which spurred me to action.
I visited the park after a certain "and all that" battle and revisited an area I'd looked at a few weeks earlier without coords. A couple of girls were playing in the creek and said hello to me as I passed and GZ was not a long way from there which was a concern. But they left after I'd been unsuccessful in my search and moved a bit closer to make the find. Unusual again. Signed the log and replaced.
Thanks!

I was heading to Hornsby but decided to detour specifically to find this cache. The CO had reminded me about this one a few days back so I took another look at it. Having prior knowledge certainly interfered with my ability to solve this puzzle. I was on the right track all along but couldn't seem to get the numbers to work out. I think I must have been tired when I looked at it in the evening. When I looked again in the morning, it all became clear and I had a viable set of coordinates. I decided to park behind the shops and enjoy a stroll through Irish Town Grove. It's such a peaceful spot. I arrived in the vicinity of GZ but initially thought I needed to be on the other side so walked around. Realising this was not the place to be, I returned and soon made the discovery of the cache location. I signed the log and grabbed "Lumpy" the TB to move along. I enjoyed solving this puzzle despite me making this harder than was necessary. Thanks for bringing me to this lovely location Digby23.

When I first saw the puzzle I decided I knew exactly how to solve it. Well, not exactly, as it uses the technique in a slightly different way, but when I made an earnest attempt I was able to get plausible co-ordinates (in the absence of a checker).
Today I decided to aim my jog in this direction, as it was a reasonable 4km from home - too far to take the dogs, sadly for them. It had been raining overnight so the park was a bit muddy, but it didn't cause any problems, and once at GZ I was able to make a quick find due to the accurate co-ords (sorry, spider); unusual container, and glad to get an understanding of the cache name. I signed and replaced the log, then reversed my jog home.
Thanks for the cache.

It felt so good when the coordinates just came out! Thanks Lauren for the hint from the CO. It still took some finding though with heaps of mozzies around. GPS was abit off but found it after following my nose into the bush. Thanks for the hide!
When this was first published I was in the area and got to the area within 5 mins. No one was around and I thought we might get the FTF but had no luck what so ever in solving this puzzle.
We left it for a while as I tried unsuccessfully to solve it. I was close but just could get it right.
As the finds came in I knew I must have been thinking about it the wrong way.
Some advice from the CO and I finally had the answer.
I was so close the whole time.
We went down on Sunday afternoon to make the find.
TB was there but I left ours at home so didn't take anything.

I'd been alerted to this cache a few days ago by therogers4 when we both went unsuccessfully for a First to Find.
Well, I had the right idea from the get go, so it was just a question of applying it the correct way. Didn't take too long.
When I placed my most recent cache - Frequent Finders (GC5HA8F) (shameless plug) a finder commented that they had been trying to get a puzzle to work using my method. Strangely, that was the case for me here, with me thinking about the method the CO here has used - possibly accounting for my almost immediate solve.
Anyway, at GZ the iPhone was putting me a bit past the correct location, so I went the long, and harder route. But that meant I spotted something suss from a short distance. Looked closely - CIH!
Took away to complete signing duties and replaced.
Nice job, Digby23, have a favourite point.

It didn't take too long to solve and this morning I was able to slip out to pick it up. At GZ both the phone and the Garmin were acting very strangely so I just looked around for likely hiding places and soon had CIH.
Nice puzzle and interesting container, thanks Digby.

An enjoyable exploration of yet another way to hide co-ordinates culminating in a very nice hide. I have always admired the poetry of the CO and so wanted to find one of his so I could leave some verse of my own. Read at you own peril:
A fine puzzle that takes us a level deeper
But will the tube artists of today
Be but tastier tomorrow?!

Solved the puzzle quickly and found the cache in a couple of minutes. This was after my disappointment at halfpenny park. like your work have a FP TFTC
9/2/15. 1:37 PM. Cache #2245. Streak day #232. When the publish email for this one popped up yesterday, I was only a couple of km away at Wahroonga. But I was at geogirl's baseball gala day, and couldn't get out until about 1:30. By then, I assumed FTFs had gone off for all of yesterday's newies. I knew how to solve the puzzle, but it wasn't ideal on my little phone screen so I skipped it and headed west to cache around Quakers Hill & Schofields.
Today on the bigger screen at home - and thankfully a much cooler day - I made a quick solve. No checker, so had to hope I was right. I parked at the parking WP (then later realised I could have parked much closer, d'oh) and made my way to GZ. A quick search in a couple of T1.5 spots, before heading further bush. Looking in the opposite spot got me the goods, and I was able to sign as 2TF. Another fine puzzle, and worthy of a fave. TFTC }:)

FTF. Quick find with good coords. More to come.
...After finding the Rock hopper in Old man's valley this morning we returned home and I turned on the cache page to write the log. Before doing so noted there was a little email to read so checked this to find a number of new caches about, but this puzzle was the only one that sparked interest given the CO's previous good form in making interesting puzzles and matching them with creative containers.
Irish Town Grove is indeed a delightful piece of suburban bush but as I was not allowed to bring my snowmobile, or a horse I was a little disparaged but soldiered on regardless to come up with some numbers that made sense. Once in the correct place as indicated by my garman, some work by a tube artist was indeed discovered in the first place closely examined. The container opened to reveal a blank log book waiting for a signature. Replaced as found leaving the goodies for future finders.
Thanks Digby23, another fine effort deserving of a reward, but as I am out, it will have to wait a little while to be delivered.

I saw this come up close to home, and despite not really having any idea what to do with some numbers I thought I would head down and see if the location provided any enlightenment or what to do with the clue. Unfortunately it didn't, but I had a nice walk around the park looking to see if anything would prove obvious. No dice with that approach, so I will have to consider what to do with the numbers I have. Close enough to home I will be back sometimes. Thanks Digby23.
