I am down under for the very first time. Visiting Australia has always been a dream of mine, and I cannot believe it has come true. Australia's nature and wildlife really captivated me. Over three weeks, I saw many wonderful beaches, sunsets, animals such as , and I found great geocaches. My tour guide was mostly geocaching, and through it, I discovered many beautiful places I wouldnt have seen without our great hobby. I mainly stayed in Brisbane but also visited other gorgeous places such as Noosa Heads and Springbrook. I spent a few days on the Gold Coast and Moreton Island, and I went to New South Wales to have visited a second state in Australia. During my stay, the winter and early spring in Queensland were very warm, the sun shone every single day, and I did not see a single drop of rain. My time down under was so beautiful and unforgettable. Australia is such a stunning country! Today I spent another day in Brisbane. I really like this city and I discovered beautiful places. In the morning I spent some time in the city centre and I hosted an event. After that I went to the oldie "Queens land". What a day! I also looked for many geocaches like this one. After GC8E I did this trail. I have seen many kangaroos in this forest. At GZ I found the cache. After signing the log I put the container back as found. Thank you for this geocache says Mr. J. Cacher from the other side of the world
Found a few weeks ago and finally got around to logging the remainder of the series today. All caches found quickly and easily. All in good condition.Codes recorded and will need to work on final at home and return to clean up a few stray caches in this lovely piece of bushland.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available for fellow cachers to find.Cheers
Quick find here and clue collected. Geodog Muffin is getting impatient when I am writing logs! TFTC
Out this fine day doing the Holden series with ILTW. Found after a short search. TFTC
All good here. Thanks for the cache and the trail.#852______Having woke up on my first day off and the sun was trying to break through.. I though I would head out to Karawatha Forest for some caches today.Total ride: 3:05:21. Completed 23 caches.Totaling 16.87km ride distance.Great day out before the sun decided to head back undercover.
There were a few possible options here but after checking out a few of them I soon found the cache. This one is in great condition with the clue inside as well as a few nice swaps. Thanks for the cache DutchAus!---Today I set out to tackle the Holden Series of caches in Karawatha Forest. I started from the Illaweena Street Picnic Area and followed the Casuarina Track and then the Maculata Trail. I took a small detour up to Poet's Rock and then returned to follow the trail through to HS-10. I then returned along the same tracks. All up the walk was about 7km and took me about 3hrs. Some of the caches were quite difficult to find so it took me longer than I thought it would and I decided to turn around after number 10. I'll have to come back and finish the rest another day.
Found for the second time today. Found back in 2017 with Brissy Cat, this time with Grub1204.
Today we went for a walk and cache in the Karawatha Forest, lots of well-made tracks and many people either walking or riding along them this afternoon. Collected most of the codes along the way in caches that had them, now to work out the bonus cache. TFTC
I have never been to Australia in my life, but my great hobby gives me the opportunity to get to know this incredibly relaxed, pleasant and beautiful country from all sides. So I was able to come here and find a very nice tin along the way. Thank you very much for planting and looking after it!
Unfortunately, three containers of this series didnt contain the necessary clue and one was completely missing (which we replaced). Nevertheless we tried to find the Bonus by educated guessing but unfortunately didnt succeed.Danke fr's Austfteln, Herlocken, Verstecken und Pflegen !Thank you very much for luring us here as well as for hiding and maintaining the cache !....../ ).....' /---' (_____.TFTC . We found this one out in the open beside a likely hid8ng spot. Assuming a critter may have knocked it out, we signed the log and placed it back in its likely hidey hole. Cheers for the cache!
Took the KG kids and Klossymel out to do some caching now the 12yo has a caching bag of tricks. Took a while but she deciphered the clues and came up with the goods!
Out today to continue with my challenges, I was in this area yesterday walking around and today I have comeback with my bike. I parked in the same area as yesterday and started off on my ride. It was a nice day and while there is a little wind around it did make for a pleasurable ride. I am happy to say dnf’s here today. Collected all the remainders in the series, and an extra one along the way, so that would be a total of 12.
So tricky hides and some easy hides, all good with all caches and in some cases I found two caches at the hide. I signed logs and returned all as found, thank you for the fun today.

Today i decided to take my geo bike out this way and tackle this series. My mountain bike was out of order so i just took my vintage bike and was not sure if it was up for this terrain but it managed just perfectly. I love these types of series and this one took me to a lovely serene place to ride my bike . I ended up with only 1 DNF. At GZ i spotted a SPOB and there was the cache. Thanks for the fun
Yet another find by Shazzar66. So far for the series it’s 9:1 finds to Shazzar66, and for the day 12:2. (Not that it’s a competition. I’m here for moral support…lol)
Enjoying the stroll through here on this very pleasant day. Haven’t been out this way for many years. Cache was found safe and dry. TFTC
As we will be spending a bit of time this area, we will making sure we grab some caches nearby. After a DNF nearby due to not having a code to unlock by the same Cache Owner. We decided to see what was close. We decided to grab this cache.

We are doing well another quick find. Off to get one more smile before we have to head back... We don't live too far away ,will call back and finish this trail..
I wanted to finish this series which I started last year. A quick find in good condition. Tftc
Not found.
So boggy though, I wonder if it's been washed away in all the rain we've had...

We headed for a change to the South Side of Brisbane.
After having found and signed the oldest cache and the two celebrations, we enjoyed our Brekkie at the Picknick spot, then headed on over for couple of more caches.
A pity that HOLDEN cars are not anymore built in Australia, but we did this series.
Coming from the North Side, we were shocked to see all those fallen giant trees, and expected that couple of these caches had disappeared.
Lucky this one was here.

Yay, another easy find. Everything good here. Starting to wish I brought the bike though!
I have been planning a visit to Karrawatha Forest for a while, today geopup and I finally made it.
A quick find here today.
Thanks DutchAus for the great series.

Thanks DutchAus for the great series.
Today, the plan was mountain biking around Karawatha Forest in Logan, to celebrate the 21st anniversary of geocache *Queens Land* with a scheduled community celebration event. After attending the morning photograph and cake session, I headed out west following the Ironbark Circuit. I then proceeded in a general anti-clockwise direction visiting lat&long junkie's favourite spot / virtual cache, and then riding south on Casuarina Trail, passing the quarry lake along the way. I then rode along the Maculata Trail, completing the Holden series (HS) trail. It was well past lunchtime by the time I finished riding approximately 30 km in distance, and after making a stop in the Kuraby Bushlands, I then found a few oldie geocaches in Karawatha Forest West. I closed out the day with a late lunch stop and a couple of geocaches in nearby Jack Pyle Park.
This *Holden* series (HS) took a few hours in completing, and perhaps it had taken longer than anticipated. Many of these caches didn't take too long to find, although I thought it was a missed opportunity to not hide caches bigger in size than the majority being simple Eclipse mint containers. Nevertheless, it was nice to have this walking/cycling power trail hidden in Karawatha. I parked my MTB and I started to search around, making this cache find reasonably quickly. The cache container was in good shape, and I made sure to note down the Holden clue. The logbook looks to be full, and it seems to be the original logbook too. Thanks DutchAus for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

I decided to tackle this series on the bike today. A beautiful day to be out on the trails for the first day of spring. Had no problems with most of the series but HS-5 seems to be missing. Thanks for the cache
Log is full but I had no paper to replace it. My 3 year old found this one. He was so excited! Thanks! The Domjahn's
