I am down under for the very first time. Visiting Australia has always been a dream of mine, and I cannot believe it has come true. Australia's nature and wildlife really captivated me. Over three weeks, I saw many wonderful beaches, sunsets, animals such as , and I found great geocaches. My tour guide was mostly geocaching, and through it, I discovered many beautiful places I wouldnt have seen without our great hobby. I mainly stayed in Brisbane but also visited other gorgeous places such as Noosa Heads and Springbrook. I spent a few days on the Gold Coast and Moreton Island, and I went to New South Wales to have visited a second state in Australia. During my stay, the winter and early spring in Queensland were very warm, the sun shone every single day, and I did not see a single drop of rain. My time down under was so beautiful and unforgettable. Australia is such a stunning country! Today I spent another day in Brisbane. I really like this city and I discovered beautiful places. In the morning I spent some time in the city centre and I hosted an event. After that I went to the oldie "Queens land". What a day! I also looked for many geocaches like this one. After GC8E I did this trail. I have seen many kangaroos in this forest. At GZ I found the cache. After signing the log I put the container back as found. Thank you for this geocache says Mr. J. Cacher from the other side of the world
As another log said, used the stick! Walked past as I was looking at previous logs and had to backtrack slightly! TFTC
Nice walk along the tracks in a nice bush setting. Its finally stopped raining !!This is number 4 in the series. Could probably do with a new log. TFTC
Out this fine day doing the Holden series with ILTW. Found after a bit of a search. TFTC
Nice quick find. No issues here.#847_____Having woke up on my first day off and the sun was trying to break through.. I though I would head out to Karawatha Forest for some caches today.Total ride: 3:05:21. Completed 23 caches.Totaling 16.87km ride distance.Great day out before the sun decided to head back undercover.
Today we went for a walk and cache in the Karawatha Forest, lots of well-made tracks and many people either walking or riding along them this afternoon. Collected most of the codes along the way in caches that had them, now to work out the bonus cache. TFTC
I have never been to Australia in my life, but my great hobby gives me the opportunity to get to know this incredibly relaxed, pleasant and beautiful country from all sides. So I was able to come here and find a very nice tin along the way. Thank you very much for planting and looking after it!
Unfortunately, three containers of this series didnt contain the necessary clue and one was completely missing (which we replaced). Nevertheless we tried to find the Bonus by educated guessing but unfortunately didnt succeed.Danke fr's Austfteln, Herlocken, Verstecken und Pflegen !Thank you very much for luring us here as well as for hiding and maintaining the cache !....../ ).....' /---' (_____.TFTC . Fun find as a couple of wallabies (?) hopped on by a bit further along the track. Tftc!
The geo kids have come this far from HS 1 and have only just started to get restless. So close to the end of the series. This was a nice quick find. Clue noted and log signed. Off the the final cache of the run! Cheers for the cache!
Great walk around here, and a great excuse to be doing it. Thanks for the series and the effort of putting them out there for us
Thanks for the cache, tried to complete this series but the rain started coming through so i had to cut the trek short. All looks to be in good nick with this one!
Out today to continue with my challenges and I noticed a nice little spot that would suit as a walking area for today. I was just looking at a few today, then coming back to get a few more tomorrow. I had been to this area once before not down this way.
I grabbed just four of my list of six, I had a dnf on a multi around the corner from here, and the first one of my series caches was a dnf. It was nice to be out and about and a nice area. This was a nice find here. I signed the log and replaced the cache as found and moved onto the next one.

Today i decided to take my geo bike out this way and tackle this series. My mountain bike was out of order so i just took my vintage bike and was not sure if it was up for this terrain but it managed just perfectly. I love these types of series and this one took me to a lovely serene place to ride my bike . I ended up with only 1 DNF. I was starting to get a bit wary after going up hill to visit Hank so i stopped here after finding the cache to rehydrate. Thanks for all the fun
A lovely quick find here and still enjoying this most pleasant walk through Karawatha. TFTC
TFTC!!! Not the obvious hole that made me check that area haha but right close to it!

I have been planning a visit to Karrawatha Forest for a while, today geopup and I finally made it.
A quick find here today.
Thanks DutchAus for the great series.

After attending the celebration event yesterday & discovering what a gem Karawatha Forest is, I returned today to seek out more of the plentiful caches hidden here. Again on foot so I am unable to collect as many as those on ’s . In total 10 today before it started to sprinkle & I did not want to chance being caught in a downpour TFTC
Today, the plan was mountain biking around Karawatha Forest in Logan, to celebrate the 21st anniversary of geocache *Queens Land* with a scheduled community celebration event. After attending the morning photograph and cake session, I headed out west following the Ironbark Circuit. I then proceeded in a general anti-clockwise direction visiting lat&long junkie's favourite spot / virtual cache, and then riding south on Casuarina Trail, passing the quarry lake along the way. I then rode along the Maculata Trail, completing the Holden series (HS) trail. It was well past lunchtime by the time I finished riding approximately 30 km in distance, and after making a stop in the Kuraby Bushlands, I then found a few oldie geocaches in Karawatha Forest West. I closed out the day with a late lunch stop and a couple of geocaches in nearby Jack Pyle Park.
This *Holden* series (HS) took a few hours in completing, and perhaps it had taken longer than anticipated. Many of these caches didn't take too long to find, although I thought it was a missed opportunity to not hide caches bigger in size than the majority being simple Eclipse mint containers. Nevertheless, it was nice to have this walking/cycling power trail hidden in Karawatha. I parked my MTB and I started to search around, making this cache find reasonably quickly. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and I made sure to note down the Holden clue. Thanks DutchAus for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

while attending the "Queens land- 21 years on" event today. We decided to grab ourselves some caches and earn the cake we just ate!
We took a fair walk around Karawatha Forest this was cache number 10/17 for the day. TFTC

I decided to tackle this series on the bike today. A beautiful day to be out on the trails for the first day of spring. Had no problems with most of the series but HS-5 seems to be missing. Thanks for the cache
A quick trek through here on Saturday yielded six finds and introduced me to the Holden Series. We made note of the hints at all the cached we found, so with any luck we should be able to find the rest and log the final cache, GC5HHA6.
TFTC, all is well with this cache.

I was still logging #13 when I saw a likely hide here... and I was right... which surprised me even more... checking the path both ways I made my way to the spot... I still managed to get passed by a MTB while making my mark... As the containers lid was detached, I’ve replaced the container with an identical one... tftc... clue noted...
I took a Mountain Bike ride through this area a couple of months back, first time I’d ridden here. My MTB mates don’t cache so stopping to pick up little boxes and sign logs is not an option as catching up is just not on. Looking back at old logs it seems the last time I cached here was for the Queensland 10 years Event. Wow, now another 10 years has passed.
Today after a FB post on my intended ride I was joined by Triple Turmoil as my victim for the day. I do like making people suffer while they are out on a bike ride. Tripe T showed she was up to the challenge and we had a fun day out exploring the trails in the area. Mind there were some we ventured along that even I will not ride back there again.
Collected these on the way back to the cars. It had been a big day so riding a well formed trail was a blessing

Met with Ruzzelz for the first time for a ride around this forest, collecting caches. I didn't really think I was in for a ride as hard as it was. So many hills, big hills...up and down!! But I made it and we found plenty of caches along the way. Caching is all about getting out of your comfort zone, with some fun and laughs along the way.
Down in Brisbane for another drive to the airport. this time with Willpunkey and Scoob. Thanks for the trail
Moving along fairly quickly now, since our phones were beginning to run out of battery charge we kept ourselves moving on this part of the walk today. At GZ it was a quick find in a logical place. We collected a number and added our name to the log.
Thanks DutchAus

I spent the last two afternoons in the Karawatha Forest to visit the geocaches hidden here around. First time beeing here I was fully concentrated to get the 2k geocache only. Now it was time for the remaining stashes. Few of them seem to be muggles (dnf was logged there). All the rest could be located and the logbooks signed.
Many thanks to all the owners for hiding and maintenance on their caches!

#4400:
I found this one laying on the ground. It was clearly pushed out of the hollow in the log, so there's probably an animal living in there. Take care when you find it next! TFTC.

27th cache found in Queensland City Of Brisbane.

There are two huge anthills just a few metres back from this cache. Be sure to have a look on your way past! Another quick find.
Another day out chasing caches to fill both hidden date and hidden month. I decided to chase more old caches today. Queens Land was the main one today. It was one hour drive Southside had a good afternoon walking around Karawatha Forest. Pick up few here. Then cross over the M2 to pickup a 2003 cache. So pick up a 2000 and 2003. How 2000 is now my oldest cache.
