What a peaceful corner of Signal hill to explore. Away from the MTB yobs throwing themselves off the mountain or the cachettes arriving at the monument for driving practice; this forgotten area drowns out the noise of the bubbly giggling from the carparks. Just stand still and listen to the birds. A wee way to go off the track weaving through the Manukas and got greeted by a wery woody Huhu grub sitting on a dry green cache found at the GZ place wrapped in an old bag keeping the cache dry and clean. A clean 1B5 notebook in better condition than the majority of banged caches was signed and popped in a new baggy. The swag was recycled to spread around other caches. Had a search around for some way points for a [puzzle](https://coord.info/GC367DQ) bucket but only one black filmcan was found containing the putty remains of one of the cryptic clues and hadn't chanced upon the 5Lt [cache](https://coord.info/GC17997) further away somewhere. The new plantings had really taken off swimmingly. Returned the cache as found and picked up a couple of ABC's for fundraising at the Hospice. A suspicious growing area in the Manukas further away with chicken netting was empty of it's 'plants'. Exited at the SHR gate and walked back down the road. *RTP 425pt* TFTC
Funny I didn't notice that this was archived until Iwent on the computer and didn't see on the search screen and it turns out it was archived. Oh well cache took a while to get to GZ but quick find there I like the huhu grub on it. nice Peaceful little bush walk.TFTC
First time in Dunedin to see All Blacks vs. Wallabies and for few caches the next day. Greetings from Finland. TFTC.
Second attempt at this. First time I tried there was not a lot of light left in the day. Early evening tonight grabbed this. Pretty dark in the trees though.
In the area doing some maintenance and happened to be in the vicinity of this cache - be rude not to stop! Quick find and nice to see a regular sized cache. TFTC!

We had a little "detour" to find the cache - on our way back to the carpark we hit the easy path
Thanks for hiding says CachingTIA

Came here on a walk from Ravensbourne to the top of Signal Hill and back. No problems with the find, and I followed my nose for the access and got here quite quickly with no issues. Nicely themed container, all in good condition. Signed log, TFTC
While we were up on Signal Hill we decided to go and find the 4th day of Christmas. Walked to "GZ" - our GPS was not liking the tree cover and overcast weather and gave us quite a large area to hunt in. Searched for a while before finding the cache. Thanks.
During our holiday in New Zealand we also visited Dunedin and the Catlins. Dunedin is the Mekka for Geocachers. What a lot of caches are here. Our main goal are some caches from 2000 we found tree of them. The Catlins is beautifull we enjoyed it very much. Our next stop is Invercargill the last stop before Te Aanau.

Nice little walk with the dog. Shame she couldn't go off lead with the poison baits nearby, she does love the bush rambles. Quick find once I found the way in. Tftc
Not kitted out for a night time hunt in the bush but made the most of the torch on the back of my phone. Was not meant to be up here this long. Oh well a quick find with Sirbennis and off to the next one. TFTC
Been all around this geocache at least 3 times not realising it was there (off doing other geocaches) finally got to it, TFTC
#2208. I came up to the Centennial Memorial to do the old virtual cache. But was pleased to see there were several other caches in the vicinity. Wandered up the slope to find this one. Was a bit further back into the bush than I was expecting. Checked some rocks near the fenceline before spying a likely spot a bit further back. Sure enough there was the cache. Its about 10-15m from the fence. Signed the dry logbook and replaced the cache as found. Left a trackable behind as this place doesn't look like it will see too many muggles. Thanks for the hide and thanks for the cache.
when we visited the monument on the hill we also looked for some caches. this was a quick found. thanks for showing and greetings from germany.
Another great spot I've never wandered in to before. Guessing at my rate of finding the Christmas series it will be closed to 12 years than 12 days by the time I finish
Greetings from Czech republic, I found this cache when walking from Signal Hill, Thanks.
Disturbed a sleeping backpacker (I assume) on the way to the cache! A lovely wee walk after a Signal Hill adventure.

Wandered over from the memorial for this cache. Wasn't sure if there was a better way but if there was we didn't see one. All good. TFTC #7543
Had our eyes open for rocks but had to expand where we were looking once we didn't find it straight off. Didn't have to go too far..
As the wind had died down I thought after getting the nearby view one for my recent milestone I would come for a wonder through the bush to grab this cache. The GPS is having a funny turn at the minute and whilst it led me to the area I couldn't get the description or hint to show..... so I took a punt and went where would I hide it and yep there was the cache on my second search spot
The plan was hatched a few years ago now and it has been a standing weekend away with a few of us mad keen cachers. This trip was made up of Karma Reprint, Team_Gaters and me (TheWanglers). We couldn't use a previous anagram to sign the logs as one member was in Aussie. So we had to come up with another... Hmm, KiTT? We decided on KiTT but after signing the first few logs something KR mentioned took a while for me to sink in and I didn't really take on board until the next time I signed the log. "Hey, the double 'TT' looks like Pi!". Oh, that's what KR said! So we signed the log this trip as KaTT pronounced 'Kapai'! And the trip was kapai!!! We had an epic weekend starting with a detour to Peel Forrest for a few FTFs, stopped in Omaru, thrashed Dunedin and detoured to Port Charmers for a FTF and then back to Pleasant Point and Peel Forrest to finish off the weekend with more FTFs. We got home to our families at a respectable hour after clocking up just over 1100km!
We had a few milestones we really wanted to crack. My 4000th, TG's 5000th and KR's 10,000th. We cracked my and KR's goal and got really close for TG. It really is about the numbers. This trip was awesome as it has given me some ideas
We were heading up Signal Hill for a few caches and stopped by for a quick find. Found an old WP from some puzzle. CITOed it out.
Thanks for the cache.

Show weekend and a Road Trip to Dunedin with 'The Boys'....Karma Reprint & TheWanglers. Initially came up with the acronym KiTT but on seeing the TT looked like a Pi symbol we quickly changed to Ka(Pi) (ie. Kapai)....and a fantastic weekend it was. 3 days, 1100km, a heap of caches and great fun.
In the area late this afternoon to make a quick find and sign. Cheers.

Wandered over for this after finding the two other caches. No problems with tourists here. Now to go back down the long steep road and have the stuff in the camper cupboards rearranged again. TFTC us04.
On Tour together with Sabe73 as Team "TheBros" around South Island to visit some nice spots.
We also visited this location and could find the box almost quickly.
Thank you for showing us this place and of course for the Cache.
Greetings from Carinthia/Austria.

Wow I made that much tougher then it should have been thick undergrowth and me being tall and I think I choose the hardest way possible to get to cache. anyway once I got to location quick find and another track out. TFTC
Found on a caching day out with Jaycie, CJ-Curry and Hevic. Nice short trek down a natural alleyway, tftc!
Found in the company of Hevic, Silvachief and Jaycie on a much-needed day out. A slightly trickier walk to GZ than anticipated, but we got there unharmed and Silvachief found the cache with ease. Completely forgot to log the number though - looks like I'm going back one day. Cheers!
A nice winters day for a walk up the hill with a friend. She was the one who spotted the cache first. All nice and dryinside.
A nice short adventure for today. I was already close, well, halfway, actually in town, so I thought why not? Anything but great views today, at least I had the tops all to myself. Nice ramble to gz, definitely my favourite location of the lot! Now only two to go and the final to wrap up the series! TFTC!!

Wondered where my gps was taking me at first but soon spotted a trail, after a bit of tree bashing I found the cache. All nice and dry. They have planted some new trees so be careful when walking to gz. TFTC
We went for our 600th cache today. This was number 599. Put in a TB and our stamp TB in the logbook.

This is the first time that I have been to the look out without any wind. Great to find the cache as well enjoy the views
A pleasant day to be up on the hill, and go for a short walk. Cache quickly found in the scrub, TB dropped off. Thanks us04.
After getting a couple of lumps of coal thsi afternoon - schoolchildren in a bus shelter, then a woman in a car parked to observe another GZ - felt it was time for a Xmas gift. Had to work for it, biking from harbourside up to the monument without stopping, but such bliss to go caching in the manuka unobserved. Lovely bit of whittling at the final!
Took a small detour (and short walk) on the way home to grab this one. Slowly ticking the Christmas series off. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
A quick walk from the carpark. then a little bit of a bash to the cache.
Found on a trip to Dunedin.
Thanks for the hide.

Tftc have had a long break from caching and this was my first back at it, nice sunny day for it
Best do this one while we were at the Lookout on Signal Hill. When Beavar and Harrowang got close to GZ, we put the GPS away and put on our caching eyes. Once again Renee from Beavar made the find and we SL at 9.52am Did not have any swaps with us so TNLN. TFTC us04 #2670
A quick find after a short walk, and a bit of a struggle through the dense trees. TFTC
I probably stepped on this one...but my mobile phone GPS doesn't work so well so I was never sure I was that close. After 20 minutes of searching (and a GPS signal that said "you are here! Wait, no you're not", I called it quits.
Found at 7:24:00 a.m. on 8/01/2015.
A nice quick morning grab...

Guided into the NZ forest by team greenbird. Everyone was not equally excited but here the 6-year old took the lead and found the box! Very nice piece of work, we took some photos of this one as a memory. Greetings from Sweden!
First time on a Road Trip caching in about 8 Months, have a great day out this was one of abour 60 odd caches found. Many thanks Bitsprayer
I can recall doing a cache in this vicinity way back when I first started caching. Nice to re-visit. TFTC.
Did a few of these out Mosgiel way this morning, thought it only polite to collect those in town too!
FTF #1. Found @ 12:25. The morning rain had passed so it's off for a quick cache hunt. The car park was almost empty with any attention towards the view over the city. Now how to approach GZ without getting soaked in the now very wet long grass. Soon found the obvious & it was off on the short walk to my goal. Wet trees overhead soon meant GPSr was set aside for a good old hunt for likely places. Soon found myself looking at an empty logbook for the first time! Thanks for the cache us04.
Slow Sunday, jobs all jobbed, other Woodies doing their own thing another trip out and about sounds right.
Fogged in at CP with a fine drizzle but all good under cover and the Co-Ords were spot on.
A bit 'grubby' at GZ.
