Could not find a log with bark, but lots with timber litter none with a cache attached. Must have had blinkers on.
Well below the bark this one.
Lovely area and learned the difference between Pacific and local oysters

No joy for us today, although the most obvious log has almost been dis-assembled by someone or something
Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
Last day today at Taranna so we set off to find a few more caches and visit the Coal Mines.
We found the cache 5mts from our GZ but safe and above high tide.

Our coordinates took us to an obvious spot, we could see a lot of bark where it could have been, but we were unable to locate it unfortunately
Friendly muggle dog greeted us but was no help in finding the cache, we had to do that for ourselves.

Left the geovan at Whites Beach, and went for more drives around the peninsula. This one was quite close, but too far to walk - today.
What a lovely little beach, my geograndies would love it here. Shame they are Qld. Found the cache - a bit out of GZ range, but use geosence to find.
Thanks TRAN18

My sister found this one for me nice little beach adventure. Happy I found a cach in tassie after my failed attempt on snake island.
Quick find while exploring the peninsula. Learnt a bit about the Pacific oyster. TFTC
A glorious sunny, windless day on the Tasman Peninsular.
Three quick and easy finds of caches placed in spectacular locations at White Beach.
Fish and chips for lunch at Nubeena. Nice freshly cooked seafood and what friendly obliging staff.
All of the above made for a great day.
Thanks for the caches.

Muggle was lounging on balcony over the road so I had to be sneaky. took a photo of the view and 'JAWS' in this Cache.
After walking along White Beach and coming across Little Beach we looked for a few minutes when we finally came across it. Good Views. TFTC
Cache had been muggled (was sitting on table opened with only pens inside) put in a log book and shark to protect it and hid it under some bark approximately where it was meant to be (may be two meters out) nice spot tftc

We found this one during our camper-van holiday in Tasmania.

Interesting choice for cache colour and logbook. Let's hope the cover doesn't slip off.

Being in Tasmania for a week attending a couple of conferences for work, Katy and Campbell flew down to Hobart allowing us to spend the weekend together. After picking them up at the airport, we drove down to White Beach arriving late at the Villa.
Saturday saw us tackle Port Arthur for the day. We took the introductory tour, jumped on the ferry and had a great tour of Point Puer. Once back we explored the historical site amazed. Our favourite parts included the Commandants house, Penitentiary, the Separate Prison and the Chapel. We made our way back to White Beach for dinner before venturing back to Port Arthur for the Ghost Tour where we had a fantastic night, Campbell being a lamp bearer.
Sunday morning we packed and started our journey north to Launceston, stopping to grab this cache. Quick find by Trent as Campbell started the search an a different spot. Took some pics and headed off.
Thanks for the cache TRAN18!!!

We took a detour into White Beach after looking for some other caches on the Tasman Peninsula. We were able to park quite close to GZ and, in the absence of muggles, we were able to make a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache TRAN18.
Had to go to White Beach to pick up the Grand daughter so we had a look for this one on the way home. All is in order at GZ TFTC

Tassie #24 Found with Tom b Raider whilst on holiday with my family in Tassmania. Special times! Tftc Greetings from Zimbabwe
Just before dark in a cool summers night with the whole family searching we found it we checked all the wrong spots first
We are at the shack at White Beach for Christmas and my grandson and his friend were keen to find some caches. We came to this one first and Rhianna made the find. TFTC
Had to go to the shop at Nubeena so decided it was time to grab this one. It was a nice summers day: raining and cold. Despite this I had no sooner grabbed the cache when a family came ambling along the beach, turning over EVERY rock on the way, and two young fellows paddled around the corner in their kayak, and made a bee-line for the nearby beach!!
I waited for a while as the rain got heavier, and then decided that I looked a little conspicuous sitting there in the downpour, so took the cache for a little drive.
By the time I got back the beach was clear and I could quickly return the cache to its resting place!
Thanks TRAN18, TN left a thong keyring.

After a hailstorm we passed the little beach and found this one under a rainbow.
