Logs
I plan on disabling this cache now and will await the last couple of logs to come in before archiving this event at the latest by the end of January. Thanks a lot for everyone that attended and if there are any issues with powerpoint presentations let me know.
Well, decided to finally go and visit Geostuff but didn't realize that the 101/201 event was on. Arrived just as the event was just ending. Was able to sign the log and stayed to chat and make a few purchases. As always it's great to catch up with fellow geocachers. Thanks kmace for the ppt files.
Gosh! If it wasn't for the Event Holder kindly reminding me, I would have forgotten to log this one so many thanks kmace. I confess that I turned up a tad late but I did contribute to some of the individual discussions afterwards so I feel justified about logging an attendance.
Thanks too to kmace for actually holding this well-attended event and to Iamapom for the use of the facilities.

Really appreciated this day. Gave me a lot move ideas of what of should be doing, now its to apply it. Excellent way to get ideas from some of the other cachers.
Thanks kmace for the presentation

Find #4465
After a big day yesterday at Eildon and Lake mountain, then onto the Aquaduct trail in Research, I nearly missed this event as I slept in. Luckily I made it to the second part in time. It was good to see such a good turn out. Chatted for a while, spent some money and teed up a fun cache to do in the afternoon.
Thanks to kmace for running this event.

I always have a great time here, catching up with cachers I know and making new acquaintances.
Thank you for the most informative puzzle session Karen. #996 - 5th type so far today...
I intend to put this new found information to good use in finding our next 1000 caches.
Thanks Keith for the hint on your multi, I know where I'm going from here...
Thanks also to Carl for the venue! [^]

Thanks for this event, good information. I will be able to put it into action. Did some shopping too. Thanks kmace.
Thanks Karen for a very informative 101 and 201 cache puzzle solving morning. I came away with a very extra clues to solving puzzles. It was also great to catch up with friends old and new.
The Drovers had some shopping to do in town and also wanted to visit Geostuff so an early morning drive was in order. We arrived just after the start of 101 and it was nearly the end of 201 before we left after enjoying both the sessions and the company of fellow geocachers.
Thanks kmace for organizing this and also thanks to Carl for providing the location and the much needed coffee.

Thanks kmace for the event. Met lots of people, including some for the first time and got some valuable information and assistance. GJMMelb
With time fairly limited today, I was only meaning to attend 101 but as so often happens, the best laid schemes of mice, men and me often go awry , so I ended attending 201 as well not to mention staying long after even that session finished! (Needless to say I was in the bad books upon my return home but hey, that wouldn't be the first time (and probably won't be the last )).
Both sessions were very informative, as well as excellently presented , and I picked up quite a few clues and info for further finds (including for a multi or two where I'd been having trouble finding the stash after doing the hard yards ).
As usual with events, it was great to catch up with familiar faces and meet some new ones. A special thanks to iamapom for providing the venue as well as the very welcome heart-starting coffee.
TNLNSL, although a few of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Many thanks kmace.

Thanks to Karen for the 101 session wish i could have stayed for 201 but I'm anticipating viewing the powerpoint and hopefully catching the bits i missed out on.
Nice to meet some fellow cachers.
Thankyou very much for the informative seession.

Mary & David were there. We enjoy the social side of caching via Events such as this, and the chance to catch up with everyone. No chance to sleep in today, as it is a fair drive for us. Exchanged New Year greetings and met a few teams for the first time. We don't do a lot of puzzles, but we gleaned a few morsels of knowledge today, and Mary bought the book! A most enjoyable morning. Our special thanks to kmace, and to Carl for the coffee service.
Thanks to everyone who came to these sessions. Obviously this is a very popular topic. I also attended and thanks to Carl (iamapom) and Geostuff for the venue and the morning tea.
Huge thanks to Karen for this event. The info provided was exactly what I was looking for and added some really useful stuff to my knowledge base. I learned a few new tricks that will be very handy. Big thanks to Carl for the great meeting space and coffee . I'll be sitting down tonight playing with some puzzles with what I learned today. TFTE.
Thanks for running this event kmace. I think I should have stayed for the 201 session but the place was looking pretty full. I am really looking forward to 201 spreadsheet that I will hopefully get in mt email. Thanks again.
Thank you for this event. I learnt something new, which is brilliant. Look forward to receiving the 201 material in the email.
Popped in at the tail end. Signed the log and am leaving seriously poorer always good to see a bunch of like minded people. TftEventc
Attended this Puzzle Event this morning as well as grabbing a few caches on the way.
Sat in on both the 101 & 201 presentations and garnered a few gems for future use. Caught up with a few old friends and met a few new ones. Good stuff.
Thanks for hosting this event kmace and to GeoStuff for providing a venue.

Our cleaner felt guilty about upplugging the fridge and making it all warm. And spoiling the butter.
So he brought us cold drinks in a big bucket. Good fellow.

Thanks for the puzzle session (I came to the 201 second half) and an excuse to buy another geocoin Had a nice chat with fellow cachers and although I helped more than I learnt it about puzzle caches it was an enjoyable event.
Dropped in today. I was in time for most of the 101 talk, then my appointment got cancelled so I stayed for the second talk. Well done kmace on a great set of talks. You had a fantastic turnout. I'm so glad it was cooler today, otherwise it would have been a little warm in the shop. Thanks to geostuff for the venue.
I look forward to a few more solves on my puzzle caches!
Thanks again kmace.

Many thanks for organising this event, picked up some good information. Looking forward to getting the 201 material.
We arrived today during the 101 presentation and made sure we had some shopping time as we knew we had to dart away at the end for a lunch. Thanks for an informative event today kmace. And thanks for the fantastic venue Carl. It was fantastic to see so many interested cachers. We are looking forward to receiving the notes too.
Was good to listen in to some info about puzzle caches, and looking forward to the 201 notes. Was also good to meet a few locals seeing I'm new to the area. Thanks so much for organising the event.
10/01/2015 10:59 am Find #4271 Thanks Karen for the informative session on puzzles and multis. A good opportunity to catch up with others too. Thanks Carl for supplying the venue.
Headed into the city to buy some geo equipment, and listened to the informative talk on puzzle solving.
Caught up with a few fellow cachers we knew, and met some new ones. Many thanks, Karen.

Surprise, surprise. I woke up at a reasonable time for me on a Saturday morning and got to the 201 session early. I have done my fair share of puzzles and multis in my short caching life so decided that I didn't need the 101 session. As I arrived well before the 10:45 am 201 session start time I had a good look around Carl's pad, not having been there before, and chatted with some fellow puzzlers.
Fantastic presentation kmace. [^] A future career as an MC perhaps? Thanks for organising these very informative sessions. I was surprised how many puzzle tricks I didn't know about. Some COs were kind enough to provide hints to their puzzles and I learnt a lot from other cachers. [^]
Thanks also go to Carl for the great venue and for providing and labelling my new Discover Me tag, which I've been meaning to get for ever soooo long.
It was wonderful to put names to faces and chat with like-minded cachers about our nemesis puzzles. Now to sit down and do a few.

Thanks kmace for organising this event and Carl for providing the venue - a good excuse to suss out the shop for the first time. The presentation was enlightening to say the least - a bit much to take it all in at once but I am looking forward to receiving the slides and then following through on some of the tips. Thanks again.
Thanks to kmace for putting together the materials and for giving the presentation, it was quite informative.
It was also great to talk with fellow cachers, some I have met before and others not. I'm always at the ready to chat about all things caching.

Thank you so much for organising this! I learned some good tips and enjoyed meeting the local cachers. Great to see a physical geocache shop alive and doing well. Seems like a great community of cachers here. Thanks for letting a pom join you!
Mrs80 attended 201 session today and was pleased to learn a few new things and more importantly get an opportunity to discuss puzzles and some of the tricks and ideas used. It all seems so simple when you know what to look for. Thanks Karen for the presentation. Will look forward to getting your email. Thanks Carl for the use of the venue - most suitable.
Find #1644. Attended @ 10:30 for the 201 session.
I arrived a smidgen earlier than the appointed time for the second session to find the joint was jumping. Lots of familiar faces talking about all things caching.
I caught up with a few of my regular geocaching cohorts and then sat up the back for the intermediate info session. Great job on the nice presentation, kmace. The material was clear and concise.
After that I chatted with a small group about a couple of nemesis puzzles. We ummed and ahhed for a while before the youngest member of our group trotted off to quiz one of the the COs for a hint. On his return a single word from him made some of the grey matter tumblers align (with almost an audible "click") and I think I have the methodology.
I hung around for a bit longer helping some others with their puzzles, before returning home to do other things.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the event kmace, and thanks Carl for the venue.

Attended the 201 session today and stayed on afterwards to chat. As usual it was great to see a few familiar faces and meet some new cachers too. Thanks for organising this session kmace. The 201 presentation was informative and the puzzle working session gave me a few leads. Thanks for the work put into it and I look forward to having the notes for reference. Also thanks to Carl for the use of the space for such an event.
I would like to attend both, but may be a little late as I plan to do the Park Run in Albert Park at 8am. If that means I'm denying someone else a spot in the first session, please prioritise them and kick me out. Otherwise, if it doesn't affect anybody else, I'll aim for both sessions. Thanks!
Hi kace just saw your note above. So Mrs80 and mrs xambo4u will now only come to the 201 session. Hope that helps.
We will attend the 201 session only instead of both. Hope this helps out. Thanks.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow at this event. I have updated the cache page to reflect attendees preference and session 2 is now full. There are limited spaces in session 1 if you wish to attend.
Please check the list above to confirm which session to come to and remember to bring a chair. If you have not registered then you may come along and sign the logbook and can receive the powerpoint presentations from the sessions you desire.

Another great event learning and talking about puzzles'n'stuff.
Sort of like a swap meet for puzzle cachers.
Thanks for the event.

Thanks for the event.
Looking forward to this one as I really want to learn about puzzle caches to help me try and solve them, plus to see the shop and to meet some new people now that I have just moved to Melbs! If I could register for 101 and possibly 201 (but if I can only do one due to numbers, then 101 please). Hopefully should get to this one easy enough - only have the one car between us until the second one arrives from Darwin. I won't have a chair though...so floor it will be (as our camp chairs are with our furniture on its way down from Darwin lol).
Cheers

What a great idea! Would love to attend but date does not suit. Will there be another such day?
31 December 2014 08:12 201 for me please. Can't resist a meetup event. TFTC kmace TNLN SL
Coming from a family of puzzle solvers I think session 201 is the one for me, if there's still room. Besides I'm not in the habit of getting up early (i.e. before 9 am) now that I have retired from the workforce.
I've done more than my fair share of puzzles in the 3 years I've been caching but I'm sure there is still a lot I can learn. I've got a few unsolved and half done puzzles that I can bring along for maybe a hint or two....or three!
Thanks kmace for organising these info sessions.

Will probably attend both 101 & 201, it depends on whether I can puzzle through the location of the event.
As a Newbie I need all the help I can get so count me in for the puzzles and multi's 101.
Love to understand how to do a lot of the puzzles as the ? keeping looming there. Pls put me down for both sessions
Please sign us up for both sessions but if numbers are a problem 201 is the preference Thanks
I will love to attend the first session, and would love to stay for the second if there is space.
I will drop in at some point. I have to. I live so close, attendance is compulsory.
Will be there. Both sessions?

If numbers allow I'd really like to come for both sessions. If numbers don't allow for both I'll come to 101.
Count me in second session please
