Logs
Going by the previous logs not much hope was held out for this one. Lots of potential hides but alas no cache to be found. So lucky to be able to see this part of the world however CO may need to check on these or disable.
Had a bit of time after our picnic at the Heads to hunt for this, technically easy to locate cache. Great spot for a cache. We did do a pretty thorough investigation with no luck. Still had a great day!
On our two month travelling trip through Austrialia, we are enjoying all the wonderful places and scenery. We will stop on the way to visit some nice caches as well. This one we could NOT find, even after fitting all the rainboots.

What a great location and loved the idea! We risked our lives with our search venturing where no man would normally search! We deliberately waited to come off the Arcadia11 last and slowly stroll to GZ! With no one watching we searched and searched!! No luck so off we went to the next cache! On the way back we searched again....knowing that all spiders were disturbed previously and hopefully still away but still empty handed! As we had a container with us we replaced what we believe to be a missing container. Too good of an idea not to replace! Have informed the CO and hope that this is ok!
Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! Our journey started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. We then continued on to spend some time on Kangaroo Island, before heading to Melbourne via Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Coorong, Mount Gambier, Cape Bridgewater, the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell, Cape Otway and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. We are now here in Tasmania on the second leg of our journey. We then head back to Melbourne before setting off to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory, Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Pambula Beach, Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. After a visit to Sydney we will travel on to the Gold Coast, then after spending a few days in the nearby mountainous birding hotspots, followed by an overnight trip to Fraser Island, we will fly from Brisbane to Cairns, visiting yet more good birding sites. We will then drive up to Cape Tribulation before heading back south again to Port Douglas and a day out on the Great Barrier Reef. We then return to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs, where we will hire a 4x4 camper and set off for a week on the circuit to and from Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock. We then fly to Darwin from where we will spend the last two weeks of our holiday making our way to Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Katherine Gorge, Kununarra, Lake Argyle, Emma Gorge, the Bungle Bungle’s and Fitzroy Crossing. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
A nice quick find at Ground Zero, and the first one we searched. What a fun tree, and yes, as per previous logs it was indeed full of spiders! Thanks so much for the cache.

Did this one and the other Pieman Heads one with seventhrombus and krpage after doing the 4WD track from Granville Harbour all the way along the coast. Absolutely awesome scenery, we got some stellar photos and found a couple of great campsites we're definitely coming back to.
As the other finders have mentioned, the downside to this cache was that about seventy bajillion huntsman spiders have made the hide their home - they're harmless, and thankfully I'm not arachnophobic, but I would avoid blindly sticking your hand inside...(I made seventhrombus do it).
Cache was in good condition, thanks heaps for this one Angus88!

A tricky cache to grab with the locals out and about.
Luckily it doesn't look out of place to be looking at something so 'out of place'
Swampy was the official photographer (good decoy) plus provided a little prompting when we were taking too much time.
The road to get to this cache just makes the find all the more rewarding. Its a great adventure and following behind Swampy who had been here not long before made it even more fun.

*FTF* on a trip that was supposed to stop at the end of 4 mile beach. We had spotted a free campsite and thought we would stay there instead of Macquarie Heads and the trip out took us in slightly the wrong direction.
We arrived at Gum Tree and I set about finding the cache. My first guess was correct but the hidey-hole had a gazillion baby huntsman spiders living inside with the cache. Imagine my surprise when I pulled out the cache along with hundreds of spiders!
Gave up on the camp spot but found an awesome spot on the way back to Granville Harbour.
Steve found a state marker reference mark at around 9:45pm, well after sunset and dragged me out to show me - reckons it would be awesome to just find those out in the bush. In the end we found the SPM and 3 RMs but not #1.
Thanks for an enjoyable trip out to the heads today, and for the cache! I tried to find you at the pub but everyone looked at me like I was a freak...
