Spontanious decission to come up here and have a look for some caches after visiting an elderly friend in the area. Couldn't find some as didn't have the necessary tools.
On secondment to Melbourne, Australia, combined with short holidays here and there. Day 35/74, Sunday. My mini-holiday to Tasmania! Just four days but better than nothing. Today I spent the whole day in Hobart and nearby areas. I did not end up with many finds today, well some lab caches and some "real caches" here and there. I mainly just hung around. This was an easy find. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Vaasa, Finland! Logged with [GCDroid](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gcdroid).
We are from Switzerland...We do houssitting all over the world and this time we are back in Tasmania the second time ...We traveled around here 14 years ago...its nice to be back and this time even better with geocaching ..Today Nggi2 and I went out to make out of green ones yellow Smilies ..The weather was very very hot and i nearly went home ..We spoted most Dsli (means Cache little box) straight away .Thank you for placing this Dsli oinkoinkFast one this time
Heute bei heissem Sonnenschein diese wunderbare Runde gemacht und nach etwas suchen auch ihn gefunden. Besten Dank frs legen und pflegen.
Love the descriptive names of all these caches! Found quickly, but although there were some nice swaps there was unfortunately no stamp here. A very nice cache none-the-less. Thanks stainless-steel-rat!
Another quick find because the cache was not covered. I made a better hide after signing the log.
Tomato soup for the soul... Tftc Found with lichen, ski, cookie and addison.
Found it! After a long search, we finally stumbled upon this hidden geocache. It was a real "souper" adventure, and we couldn't have done it without the "soup-er" intelligence of our team. #geocachingfun #TomatoSoupMystery #Soup-er-Cache
Quick find, second last of our Waverley walk. Great amusement was gained from the tomato soup replica in the cache! TFTC )
Out and about doing some last minute shopping, no! Caching.
Picked up Benjigirl65 again and we are out collecting the last three of this series.
A quick find and we are off to the next one.
Thanks for the cache SSR

Adelaide to Hobart Road Trip
Day Six: Hobart Area and a flight home.
Weather: deteriorating, but I’ve had a lucky run on this trip.
This is one of five letterbox caches found with the Waverley Flora Reserve, a great spot that I haven’t been to before on the east side of the Derwent River. Great views from this elevated perch! I’m wondering if there are snakes in here; probably best that I don’t know.
No stamp in this one.
Thanks for bringing me here and for these letterbox caches stainless-steel-rat.

Headed off to Waverley Flora Park with Newy07 to do some much needed geocaching. Unfortunately we had to rush our preparations and arrived at the park without planning our route. But we managed to find a few of the Waverley Walk letterbox series, including this one. A nice walk.
TFTC stainless-steel-rat!

Find #12929
In Tassie for a few days with beckNmonts and Earthbound Chief. Have been having a ball and continued along our merry way with some fun cache finds.
Day 3 was about challenge caches and picking up some of our solved puzzles.
Today was a bit of a tougher day with some difficult climbs up some mean hills. Found lots of great caches with full size log books and even managed to see a rainbow over the harbour.
Great to finally find a few letterboxes.
Massive thanks go to stainless-steel-rat for placing this one.
Big things are continuing to happen! *Are you joining the fun again in 2022?*

Today we found 9 Base Of Tree, Waverley Walk on our travels. We are on a lightening fast visit from Melbourne just because…well, maybe it’s all those puzzles we solved during those many lockdowns! Having the opportunity to sign some actual logs is exciting!
Thanks stainless-steel-rat for being part of our geocaching fun.

We have realised that we have nowhere near enough time to find all the puzzles we have solved for this trip. So what will we do? Focus on mainly challenge caches that required no solving! What did ahomburg, Earthbound Chief, The Morris, myself and nominally Mazda StarBounceSky, the Standard Poodle, spend all those hours solving for? I suspect it’s because we are strange and enjoy it (seriously, thank you for placing them CO’s).
Earthbound Chief, ahomburg, Mazda and myself started the day at our now “regular” breakfast spot, to caffeinate for the day, then headed off again with our gratefully borrowed fishing pole and ladder! (Please hit us up in Vic, I’m happy to return the favour)

Another quick find and sign just as well as the rain was starting to get quite heavy by this point. Once again no muggles except for the local skippy that jumped by. Thanks!
Out and about with RoadieM and this is our third find for the day. A quick find, with beautiful views overlooking the Derwent. A beautiful part of the park up here and a great time of the year to be wandering about. Lots of muggles on the tracks looking at the wildflowers, but luckily so far we have managed to avoid them at critical cache finding times. All good with cache - thanks SSR.
tassietan and I are enjoying our walk around the park. The wildflowers are amazing.
Thanks for an easy find stainless-steel-rat

While out and about today we found a few caches on the way and this was one of them.
Mrs "T" parked at the bottom the these letter box caches and walked up the hill to collect the last 3 caches in the series, a quick find, cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks stainless-steel-rat for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

A nice & quick find whilst enjoying a stroll around the area. A muggle came up to us here and asked if we were searching for wild orchids. When we said no she looked at us as if we had something wrong with us! TFTC!

Hevic and I had a little bet going with this one. We saw the cache title and decided from 100m away which tree would be hiding the cache. Turns out both of us were wrong, so we both had to buy each other lunch. (How do tied bets even work?) In any case, we did end up finding the cache with no further problems. Cheers!
One of the things I assume most locals probably take for granted is just how many amazing views there are about the place. Everywhere I seemed to look there was something outstanding to look at including my hotel mirror.
The smoke haze about the place wasn’t off putting but just a general reminder that other places don’t have it as good as this. I just had another look in my hotel mirror and there was a beautiful man holding a glass of wine that looks like me. The amazing views are just everywhere. tftc

Today was our last day in Hobart before flying back to Adelaide. It’s been a shame that I’ve had such a hideous cold for the entire trip but we have still managed to find a few caches each day. We’ve been super lucky with the weather which has made all the walking more fun enjoyable.
Our muggle friend collected us from our Airbnb and then we borrowed his hound and headed out to complete this series. Mainly so we could collect another LGA and also due to all the letterboxes plus it was close to where the muggle friend lives in Lindisfarne.
The surrogate hound loved his walk although I think she was wondering why we stopped so often! We missed out 12 and 13 on the loop.
Definitely didn’t need a hint here. TFTC stainless steel rat

Found during my holidays in Australia. Before leaving Tasmania, I went out for a bit geocaching. So this nice round of caches fitted perfectly on my way to the airport.
Thanks for the hide.
Greetings from Germany.

Back 2015 was old user to new user, was visited on feb 2015 with ALL7 on caches area at Waverley Flora park.. TFTC
Mrs PC and I along with the Geo Pup headed out this afternoon for a walk around Waverley Park and thanks to stainless-steel-rat we enjoyed ourselves with five finds and only one DNF. The arvo was quite mild and easy walking although the pup is still learning to walk consistently without pulling my shoulder out lol. This cache...now which tree is that again...ha ha found it well done ssr
On our tour trough Tassie we want to catch some caches. We saw that this series had some FAV points. So we come and made them.
After a short searching we could find the cache.
Thank you and greetings from Germany send Moorhelmi

After a leisurely, late start I had a great day today, visiting some old haunts, catching up with friends and finding a few caches, mostly on the eastern shore near Hobart.
My main caching focus today was on solved puzzles, challenge caches, letterbox hybrids and a multi and some traditionals that I had specifically targeted. Given the nature of many of the caches, I was very happy with 23 finds for the day.
It was nice to see how this area has been developed with formal walking trails and the commemorative walk. I used to roam these hills as a kid!
Thanks stainless-steel-rat for the cache.

We had a little bit of spare time this morning, and thought we'd make our way to Waverley Flora Park - it's a place that we've been curious about for a while (we've been past many times), but never actually taken the time to pay a visit.
In the end, we only had time to find two caches, but that's not a bad thing - the area is beautiful, and we're looking forward to coming back to find more!
We had no trouble finding either cache, and thoroughly enjoyed our (brief) journey through this wonderful place! Thanks for finally bringing us here!

Out and about with the lovely Lady membsec creating a few new smileys.
It was hot hot hot! LadyM had found these before but came along to keep me company.
An easy find, right where it should be!

The plan was made that today, I would head down with DaryVafder to attend the christmas event and also catch up with some caches, that I haven’t met or seen in quite a long time.
It may of helped if I looked where to park but instead I made the decision to pull up on the bottom side of the hill which proved to be a steep walk for some. A bit of puffing and huffing by dary.
A quick search and the cache was soon found.
A successful day in total with only a few DNFs along the way and we were able to collect some great strategic caches.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 5000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 70 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.
