Tree where it was located has been cut down and with recent rain the area was flooded.
Not sure if this one is still here. The water has obviously been up very high and the whole area is a washed out bog. May need checking.
No luck here. The wharf is under water. The lake is up to the GZ, and has been a lot higher - I suspect the cache had been washed away.
After finishing up some work during the weekend I had some sun left to get some geocaches today. Easy find at GZ. TFTC
This was my first geocache glad it got me out of the house away from my computer
Headed over this way today with a couple of my Girl Guides as one of them needed some finds for her geocaching badge. Found quickly here today and the travelbug was already moved on . . . . . TFTC
I've never been to Milford Beach and lake before so I decided to bring the kids for a walk around and pick up a few caches along the way This was the seventh find of the day. As we approached GZ I thought the cache would be gone as the pier is under water, but following the GPS lead me to GZ and the cache was quickly found... luckily the lake is just out of reach... for now! TFTC!
Thought it may have been washes away as the pier is under water but managed to find it. Lovely down here TFTC
Found it but water is way too high after cyclone cook passed by.. So couldn't grab the cash. TFTC.
This isn't a DNF, I did come here but so did pesty muggles, I mean to say though, it was a beautiful day for watching the swans. One girl who was away from the cache but close enough for me to have to wait for her departure, then decided to sit on the stump where the cache would be, and proceeded to take a heap of selfies! So I left, will come back another day.
As I walked up to this cache I was a bit worried I'd be here a while waiting for the smoker up in the car park to leave. Luckily he was placed so couldn't see me around the trees!
Nice quick find. Cheers for the location
Nice quick find. Cheers for the location
Swans didn't care too much what I was doing near their water. Found a beautiful feather. Not sure which bird would have grey, yellow & red feathers. Photo of cache as evidence as I couldn't find a pen
Visited this park with the intention of walking around a section of Lake Pupuke, but the gate was closed due to bird breeding season. So, the only other option was geocaching, which was conveniently located nearby! It was a relatively quick find, as I could spot the cache from a distance and an angle. Didn't have a pen, so took a photo of the log. TFTC
Didnt take too long to spot this one. Log signed b&p. Find number 4092.
Thanks for the cache Zukibabba.
Thanks for the cache Zukibabba.
Mate has been back to look for it 6 times with no luck, i came along for the first time and found it almost straight away haha oops
Quick find this sunny morning while out and about in the area. We were lucky enough to see some young coots swimming near GZ. No problems in locating the cache, and we had dry feet so had no need for the white socks inside the cache.
The lake levels were really high today and I thought I was going to get my feet wet, but the ache was tucked away nice and dry - with a nice clean pair of white socks in them!
A pukeko was watching me the whole time, but she was the only muggle around. Pretty easy find but getting into it while avoiding the water took some doing. TFTC!
After a lot of scrambling around in the likely place, finally found it quite out in open almost in the lake. Tucked it back a bit safer but owner might like to check it.
I had to attend a meeting on the North Shore but afterwards I was off caching. It was nice to meet up with a couple of other cachers as well. Nice to meet you all.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Found the spot after gps kept putting me in the ocean. Figured that wasn't quite right.
Walked around from another cache on the Lake edge through a protected wildlife reserve. On reaching this cache discovered a big tree had been cut down and sawn into small pieces right by GZ. After a small search found it partially hidden next to a cut piece. May have been placed there by those using the chainsaw. tftc
We headed off to Takapuna today for a walk despite the hints that it was going to rain. We parked up and headed off for some dinner first, a good feed and half a pint, at the Irish Bar there. After that, despite the rain we decided to go for a short walk, I had been here before a few years ago to get the Henderson Park cache. The weather was very different then, bright and sunny. Today the drizzle in the air cooled things down and kept the muggles away. The view over the lake was stunning and the sound of the swans echoed from far across the water. The cache was a quick and easy find, and no one around to worry about. TFTC and another good excuse to head down to look at the lake. #469
In an effort to escape the heat of the house, we headed out to the Lake early evening in the hopes of some breeze to cool us down. Nice hidey hole here, quick find. SL. TFTC.
Got it by hook or by crook. Had to wait around for ages pretending to take pix of the swans while a muggle and his duggle took over the area!

Perfect spot for a cache . As I was leaving a big cloud of mosquitoes surrounded me so ran away, TFTC Took TB

Tftc! Quick easy find with a great view. Dropped off double plugga tb which ive had for too long haha!
Nice evening find for Miss 5 & I while visiting her grandparents further around the Lake. Main problems were Swans and Muggles!
Found it! Scared of swans. Did you know that swans are dangerous and unreliable as postmen?!
Collecting a few caches while in the area with tmann421.
It was a quick find for us here tonight.

Nice spot but windy today. Made avoiding muggles easy. Was quite exposed so attempted to conceal a bit better.
This was difficult after dark. So relieved when I found it though, because otherwise I might have needed to drop my streak. This was a really cool hide spot!
I recall being in this park some years ago when I was chased away by the swans. So with some trepidation of a repeat performance today, entered the park to find nobody and no birdlife to be seen. Wandered to GZ and found the cache quickly. Nice area. TFTC.
Out and about this afternoon enjoying a couple of hours of caching fun in the rain. I parked up in the car park and made the short stroll to GZ. I was wise to wear gumboots today. Cache was soon detected in the most likely spot. I took the TB. Recovered the hide a little better than found. Some windsurfers were also out on the lake today. Cheers for the cache placement!
great place to walk the doggies. majestic Black swans where everywhere. found the cache quickly. TFTC.
Cool little park... the little dispatchers were super excited to watch the Pukekos walk on water. TFTC!
Out for an afternoon caching, gathering a few around our home turf. Brought some bread out so fed the ducks & swans first. A mumma duck was very protective of her 3 little babies, actually latched onto a swooping gull and got taken into the air...good skills mumma duck. Anyway, after that action, we quickly found the cache, tftc
Had an appointment over this way this afternoon, so came to Sylvan Park afterwards to visit the Pier and find the cache. No problems with muggles today, except for being hissed at by the swans. Thanks.
Nice quick find for Kiwiscot after a swim at Takapuna pools. A bit to cold for swimming in the lake today. TFTC
