Logs
Wow, great find. Those have got to be THE most scrunched up logs I've written on ... but nice and dry. TFTcoolC
JD found it. He likes to say, " see dear you have to stick with the experienced" , . JDScout and I are spending eight days and seven nights away. Four nights in Nelson and three in Blenheim. It's another campervan holiday with ebikes Today is day two.
Looks like the dentist residence is up for sale, but after checking some previous logs, I quickly found the cache from the footpath, nice hide here, TFTC
314. Hey from Aus! Found yesterday. Felt very tresspassy but building is a dentist and I went after hours so that reassured me a little. Stay on the footpath! Man from next door was lovely but said lots of people enter the property in search of it when they shouldnt plus its not necessary, just feel your way along. Thanks for this cool cache!
While on a 21 walking trip to south Island this was our day 3 stopover. Nice and close and searched for a while before resorting to going next door. They were so helpful. Thanks for giving me one here. Greetings from Australia
Mutter, curse cuss. Read old logs, sulk a bit, look again, look harder and then sign the log.
Spending a few days in Stoke visiting friends. Enjoying some local caching. It was pretty quiet when we went to look for this one and having read some previous logs the cache was soon found. Thanks for the smiley
Feel a little like in a fish bowl and didn't want to spend too long here by t ended up spending longer than I would have liked. Nearly left empty handed but a bit of perseverance paid off
Took a while to locate it but after reading the logs I had a better idea of where to search and got it pretty quickly, tftc!
In the area today so able to make the morning grab while all quiet. Thanks for the cache.
found with kkj162.went for a walk here after dark hoping the road will be quiet with the road works detour going right past here, but it wasn't but managed to snatch it up, get signed and put back without looking too dodgy....... I think anyways tftc
Went for a nice walk with the nzchaser123 at night since it had stopped raining after a couple of day. Thought it would be a good time to have a look for cache since it is normally very busy during the day. Tftc
#11,361. I am geocaching around Nelson today before flying back to Wellington. I had a crack at this one back in 2017 but was put off by people inside the building. Coming back early on a
Sunday morning is a good time to search for this cache. We looked around the obvious spots without success and then I parted some foliage to peer in and caught sight of it. Yes, finally. Signed the logbook and returned the container where found. Thanks StreetGamer and HorseGirlNZ for hiding it here. Great name for a cache!

Looked for this when first listed but took me to a place I didn't want to look. Had a read of it recently and glad it was in a different position for a quick find
Nice early morning find. GZ all quiet, soon located cache. All good in container. Tftc!
Found it
located a few weeks ago, saved for rainy day like today, When I went out at 8 pm it was showering.

This was so exciting! Nearly gave up, fearful of being spotted by muggles but with the clues and prompts from previous logs, persevered! TFTC and education really enjoyed.
A reasonably quick find on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Interesting history hear. TFTC.
An interesting story indeed, thanks for all the info. I think I was stealthy enough loitering around feeling for the most likely places. Found and signed to the sound of a drill inside. Thanks very much!
Pre found this one at weekend and a quick relocate today when needed to up fonds for the day. Tftc
A nice quick find thanks. Yay, I have been here a couple of times with no luck. Just used patience and checked the obvious. Public holiday == not many people about!
Another long weekend, another wee road trip, this time up to Golden Bay area, with Ms_KR. The daylight hours are are certainly getting shorter, but luckily the weather is mostly dry and warm. Today we cruised from Motueka to Nelson.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

This cache was not too far from our motel, so while the muggle wife too a nap, I went out to find this one. At GZ, I soon found the attachment, but no cache. After more searching, I found it on the ground. After signing, I replaced it in the attachment. TFTC.
This is the last day of our far too short trip to Nelson to catch up with family, do a bit of sightseeing and of course some geocaching.
This was our last cache for today as we're a bit eccentric about finishing on a "good number" - in this case 40 (although I quite like 39 but 38 or 41 are no good).
Anyway got to GZ and a joint effort trying not to look too conspicuous eventually produced the goods here. Thanks for the cache, all good here.

Took a bit but soon the cache was in hand. Managed to drop my pen in the hedge so any future cachers who might forget one need only fossick through the greenery. TFTC!
Found during a long walk around Nelson, I felt very suspicious standing there with people inside. They didn't care much though.
Had an idea where it could be, but I was wrong. So I had to go along twice and left my hand just passing along until I noticed something. Not sure how it was attached, I just tried to get it out, voilà. Signed and managed to replaced.

On an early morning run I was able to feel around for this one without the fear of muggles. Easier once the GPS settled and gave a better area. Then, to work out what force was holding it there. Signed and returned.
A caching saturday adventure out with Missnboys and introducing lululovesponge to geocaching. Luckily pretty muggle free evening today and cache eventually found. TFTC
This was a quick night find on the way back to our accommodation. TFTH the log is rather damp but I could still sign it.
Having a weekend away in Nelson after a long lockdown Day two and a bit of a cold start but we soon warmed up. Thanks to the COs - We can’t wait to come back Reading the logs I thought this one might take awhile but I followed the GPS an there it was TFTC
Looked very suspect digging in the bushes at night with a torch. Not ideal. Maybe a good one during the day, off peak traffic.
It seems that third time really is lucky. My previous two visits just weren't well timed but this time I came back a little later in the day. I probably spent 15min carefully searching and then as it often is I revisited a spot and there it was. Now it has my name in the log and its safely hiding for the next finder. This is a nice street. Thanks StreetGamer and HorseGirlNZ.
Found during an afternoon walk around Nelson. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Sweden.
*Arrived to New Zealand and Auckland from Stockholm, Sweden via Bangkok for a two week group travel. In Auckland we toured the city, sailed in the harbor and visited Waiheke Island. Continued with bus to Rotorua via Huntly and the interesting Waitomo Caves. Outside Rotorua we visited Wai-o-tapu, the impressive and active geothermal area, and the Tamaki Maori Village. Continued by air to Wellington with a visit to the museum Te Papa and the exhibition about Gallipoli as well as the cable car up to the Botanical Garden. The next day we went by ferry to the South Island in very nice weather accompanied by dolphins/purpoises. Via the Marlborough vine district we came to Nelson were we stayed two nights. The next day we went to Abel Tasman National Park, a lovely day trip by boat and foot. Then by bus to Hokitika via Murchinson, Punakaiki (the impressive pancake rocks) and Greymouth (beer tasting at the Monteith’s brewery). The day after it started to rain on the way to Franz Josef and it rained heavily on the walk to the Franz Josef Glacier of which we saw nothing. The leap day was spent by bus to Wanaka via Lake Matheson (with a nice walk around the lake and a view of Mount Cook and Mount Tasman), Haast and Makarora. The next day we continued to Te Anau via Cromwell, Gibbston Winery and Kawarau Bridge (with bungy jumps but not me). The next day we went to Milford Sound in the Fiordland National Park. Luckily it was opened a few days earlier after heavy rains that damaged the road, so the bus traffic was restricted with convoy driving three times a day. The boat trip in the fjord was very very nice. After that we travelled via Te Anau to Queenstown, the last stop. The day after was spent sightseeing and geocaching with a last dinner at Walter Peak High Country farm with a boat trip on Lake Dunstan with TSS Earnslaw. The next morning we started the long way back to Sweden via Auckland and Bangkok. All in all a very nice group travel to a very nice country!*

Quick lunch time grab for seahorse. This time with a pen bit without the Captain.
Out caching with Paddle chick, Sir Belac in between the showers a nice easy find .Tftc StreetGamer and HorseGirlNZ
Too many people around to go searching along people's private fence lines so didn't look very hard.
Another beautiful, sunny day in Nelson!!! Our Nelson family was off to a birthday party in the Brooks area, so we bummed a ride with our bikes and decided to get in some caching while biking back down to Stoke!! This is such a beautiful area for biking or walking! We got to GZ, and there were no muggles about, so we were able to search uninterrupted! This cache should not have taken us as long as it did!! We don't know how we missed it at the beginning of our search!?!?? But we did! We were only too happy to finally get our hands on this one. Thanks for the smiley!
