Stopped for a quick look. As others have said, a fire has been through and suspect it's gone.

Wingaap - it seems like the cache has gone - three reports of bush-fire ravaged GZ.
Area burnt out so much nothing left but the trees - nothing on them or around them. So - DNF on 6th December, 2015.
There hasten a fire through here in fairly recent times, with most of the vegetation scorched badly. Had a good look for around 10 metre radius but no sign of a Wingaap looking cache, or the remains of one. tftc anyway.
A slower day today preparing for the trails tomorrow, we did some excellent caches today, 30 caches in 3 hours ,all fine finds, many thanx to all cache placers for the efforts put in, top stuff
Again another cache fitting for the weekend as we see off the walk for life team!
Day 3 of the return trip to Stanthorpe to collect the caches we couldn't find during the Mega weekend, due to lack of rain and too much rain, and to see off Team Robins on their epic adventure around Australia.
Today the plan was to head south and grab some wingaap caches which are always worth the trip for their creativity!
Thanks wingaap for the cache.

I tell you one thing, the Monkeys around SEQ must have damn good breath... Brass Monkeys, Map Monkeys, they appear to have something in common...
When Ghostgums and I located the container and opened it up, there was a chuckle as the task ahead was realised... Oh, the memories... Thankfully, our approach to securing the log made for short work and we had it in hand nice and quickly... [^]
Another quick laugh as the cache was replaced, this one has to get a favourite for "old times sake"...
Cheers Wingaap.

Out with misssusan, geokids and geohubby. Btilliant hides. The kids loved them. Tftc
I had an initial moment of alarm on seeing this one, with old memories of hides springing to the fore, but happily walked away unscarred this time . TFTC, wingaap. =^.^=
Making my way home again after a most enjoyable few days at the Queensland MEGA. Spoiled for choice on caches at the MEGA, and also as I leave. This was one of a few I manged to visit before needing to clock up the kilometerage to get to tonight's destination, and very pleased I checked out these ones in the area, some very cool hides and fun finds.
Many thanks.
Many thanks.
I found this cache while visiting Australia from New Zealand. After spending a few days in Stanthorpe for the Mega Event, today Yorkshirekiwi83 and I travelled in tandem in our campers to Coffs Harbour and found a few caches along the way. Decided to tackle this little series of caches on our way out of town as we ran out of time to do them yesterday. Soon found this neat cache, TFTC!

nice to find cache where their has been some extra effort worth a favorite. Out and about with Bullertrout and ADV exploring some of the tracks and trails around the Mega
we did this series and what can I say the effort put in was so huge and the favourite point is for your efforts. The kids smiled ear to ear on each and loved to find all the caches. we so appreciate a series like this and thankyou for adding a smile to our day. All the containers were so creative and we loved every minute of the 11 caches we found in this area. Thankyou so much for adding to our adventure.
sorry for generic log, they were all so fantastic and a couple were in the top ten caches we have ever found.

Not exactly Brass Monkey weather at the moment, but I'm sure it is just around the corner
On yet another bike ride around the Stanthorpe area, I soon mopped up a delightful quintet of 'wingaap' masterpieces
TFTC and a bit of early morning exercise before heading to the big smoke !!

Vistra and I were travelling from the Stanthorpe Queensland Mega to Coffs Harbour and were picking up some caches along the way, mainly focusing on high rated ones but also on any that were at pit stops or just because we heard or spotted something cool about the cache.
We had started this trail the day before but due to time constraints and getting back to Stanthorpe for a flashmob we didnt complete it then, we dont like leaving trails unfinished so when we worked out we would be driving past it we knew we would have to complete it. We had heard about this one in advance, but I was expecting a differnt aspect of it. TFTC

Last day in Stanthorpe and I cant go home without visiting some special caches by someone I admire for his caches.
Pulled to the side of the road and another cacher was at a cache. Said hello to Big Matt and Shell. They had already found the cache and I had done one similar near Brisbane of this type.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks wingaap All good with this cache

I am having a tour of the area today and knocking over a few caches with seirra1 and AussieScouter. We are staying at the Mega, which has been an awesome experience.
Today we visited a winery, hotel (for lunch) and Jamworks (we bought some yummy jam) and completed the Elementary series, some of the bike trail and many other local caches.
Thanks for the cache wingaap. You always go to great lengths to provide a quality cache.

Found this one simply on the way out the road. I like the effort on the containers. This reminds me of a cache we found many years ago abount another monkey. This kids had a ball with this one.

Another nicely constructed container which, once opened, brought back memories of another cache of this type. Thankfully it didn't take anywhere near as long to find the log this time around. Thanks wingaap.
Zipped south from Stanthorpe to find a few caches before heading up to Warwick for the night. Thanks for the cache.
Found at 17:37 whilst wandering around Stanthorpe during the Queensland Mega event with Shonkylogic and Southern Cross Caching

Just in case Mount Nebo Rd isn't enough, there's this little patch of Wingaap at Fletcher, on the New England. It ahs been great to see a few pop up occaisionally and now, four more on offer! Don't mind if I do! I've come to quite like Suttons Lane even after a few visits - especially in the Subaru!
Net88 and I made for this hide last of the four here - the old technique of getting the farthest and working back. Naturally, not much of an idea of what to expect other than 'something unexpected'. We pulled up just off the road and made our way to the spot. A quick find, but then the games begun.
Such good fun. The logbook was in hand after a little bit of effort, but amusing the whole way. Nice when a geocache puts an actual smiley on your face. We replaced all as found and called this area cone once more. Thanks for this geocache, wingaap

Captain Terror and I managed to get away from the Mega for a short time to find the newer Wingaap caches since last time we were out here. We parked the car and wandered up towards this one. We arrived quickly at GZ and spotted the second most famous Brass Monkey on The Granite Belt.
I can only imagine what the cashier must think when you buy so many of these small containers. The Captain retrieved the logbook and we signed our names before replacing everything as found. Thanks for the cache Wingaap.

Day 10 of the mega caching tour of Queensland, and on our way back to Stanthorpe, we had heard how good this series of caches were along here, and although we didn't have time, we decided to pay a visit to one of them. This one had a good cache name, we we headed off to it. We arrived at GZ to find a large convoy of cars all parked along the side of road, but once we were at GZ, the cache was soon found...with a slight twist. Enjoyed this cache, and only wished we had more time to do the rest of them.
Gratias wingaap.

Day 4 at the MEGA, and it's gonna be a big one [^] I'm planning to get 10 different cache types today, in the company of T-Tech and Nurseyjulie.
Last time T-Tech and I were at Stanthorpe we picked up the wingaap caches down this road, and when we were told of his 4 new ones, well, how can I resist that?!?!?! Nurseyjulie was rather pleased as she got 14 caches here And along the way we met up with the master cache maker himself! Very good to catch up with you, sir [^]
Nice work on the container. A young fellow on a quad bike with his 3 dogs caught us and the CO here, so of course we showed him what geocaching was all about. TFTC, wingaap.

On a geocaching trip with tmann421 with the focus being the MEGA at Stanthorpe. A fantastic trip away seeing a part of the country I had not been to before, collecting caches along the way. Stamped the logs with t&J or our names. Thanks to all the CO's for making this such a memorable trip.
Enjoying a beaut day in Stanthorpe & surrounds with our good mates DazRascal & Mvyrmnd.
Our goal today was to find as many types as we could & help us reach 4000 finds.
We enjoyed our drive along the back roads to find these caches, seeing some great countryside, beaut hides, lots of laughs and no DNFs.
Another ripper here! [^]
Cheers.

Out and about for a days caching with Haveanez and Mvyrmnd picking up a couple series of caches during the Mega weekend.
The weather wasn't the best but we didn't let that deter us from getting out and enjoying the Stanthorpe and surrounding areas caches.
This little series of caches came recommended by many around the campsite at the Mega weekend.
With Haveanez needing a few more finds to log the Mega as a milestone we came down this way to find out what the talk was all about.
We really enjoyed the creative and unique hides here and can see why they all have so many favourite points.
I cringed when I opened this one, I have seen a similar one not far from home and cursed that too. Lucky this one turn out to be so bad
Thanks Wingaap for the imaginative hides, I'm sure it has inspired quite a few to place better containers
TNLN, Cheers.

This set of caches are top notch. I recommend to anyone to do this little series. I wish I could give a favorite point to each one, but I don't have enough for all. Thank you for one of the biggest highlights to Qld Oz Mega.
Visiting QLD from Central Coast NSW, and attending the Stanthorpe MEGA EVENT for about a week. Camping at the showground, caching days done mainly with SpikeyMikey, meeting up with members of CCG, HAVOC, and others from all over Australia.
Many thanks to all responsible for a smooth operating event, my first Mega, and first visit to Stanthorpe. Plenty of reasons for a near future visit
Whilest it did rain and drizzle almost every day, I much preferred this over hot days, which is what I encounted on the Gold Coast return journey, as well as a repeated bout of coughing with the flu on the long drive home.
Great Puzzles, Power Trails, landscapes, History, Apples!, and company. Politeness and respect by all
Many Personal records smashed this weekend First MEGA, Finds per day, Altitude, etc

This little trail of Wingaap caches came highly recommended, so in between finding caches for our 8 in a day, we took some time to fit this series in. As always I was delighted to find cute containers and thoughtful tributes to local cachers. Found with omaster, aerial_tennille and jilcycle.
Wishing the Walk for Life Team well on their journey. A quick find and we were glad we didn't have to open all of those to find the log! We signed the log and then replaced the beasty as it had been found.
Thanks for the cache wingaap

Found whilst in town for the QLD Mega.
We decided to head south of town to tackle this little series and we were very impressed with the level of detail that has gone into making the cache containers.
We even had a chance encounter with wingaap who was out and about performing some maintenance, not long after I had slipped on some slippery granite and was performing a little maintenance on myself! [:(!]
A thoroughly enjoyable series and as we headed out we bumped into the wingaap again and remarked on "a bloody good series!"
Thanks wingaap for the cache.

Found this one on the second afternoon of the 2015 Queensland Mega in the company of two Newcastle cachers. Thanks wingaap for providing us with a clever cache container.
What an awesome cache. Love your work wingaap. It didn't seem to be reset correctly but Mr. Herbz deduced what was intended and replaced accordingly. TFTC. An FP from us.
The scourge of my caching life and a nasty thing to do. In my fit of pique I found the answer quickly. Thanks for torturing me good Sir.
Out early to pick up a Multi down this way. Thought it rude not to grab some local traditionals as well, so hit this mini power trail. The local farmer looked surprised to see a strange car at this time of morning, but a courtesy wave and I kept going. Aha, reminds me of a certain other Wingaap cache, at least it wasn't too nasty or painful in the end. TFTC
[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there wingaap. We found your cache "Brass Monkey" at 10:02:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 10715.

This was our 1st cache find today. We are in the area for the Mega event, and hope to find the time to log lots of caches in between social events..
We awarded this cache a favourite point for the ingenious construction.

Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Dropped Trackable: "Travel Stone"

A quick stop off to collect this one. I was out with IolantheK and T-Tech today. Picking up the Apples and having a great time and adventures of finding all the caches during the MEGA. Nice work on the container again wingaap! TFTC wingaap
On our way home after the Mega, and trying to get 20 to 30 finds as we go. This nice little series certainly helped, thanks wingaap. Ha ha on this one!
Found with aerial_tennille, jillcycle and nyssaflutterby while out and about getting as many different types in a day as possible for those that did not yet meet 8 in a day requirements. TFTC
This grouping is very cool. I love the ingenuity that goes into these caches. The effort and talent of them def deserves FP's for all.
I loved the monkeys.

After a rather eventful (read expensive, long and tiresome) trip down to the Mega, and spending yesterday and the morning trying to diagnose issues with the car, we decided we had better go find some caches.
Easy find, at 1600hrs. With all the cachers running around town, we decided to head out in a random direction to see what we could find. This is where our adventures took us.
Cheers

We met up with Ali600 and skyebomonkeytown (how appropriate for this cache) and wandered into the bushland together. That's when we noticed the SPOP as the girls called it. Don't know why people don't like the mint tin, it's in a devious class of it's own here. Nicely done wingaap, fav from us.
Day four for me at the QLD MEGA.
Out and about this morning by myself for a few finds.
Todays adventures are taking me south and over the border to sign a certain Challenge cache.
With plenty of time spare I am finding those caches that I have not found on previous visits to Stanthorpe.
A quick find here. Always fond of a wingy cache.
Thanks for the cache.
